There’s a lot of talk regarding the benefits of dead hangs as they have become popular among fitness enthusiasts, but I want to ask specifically, why are dead hangs beneficial in the first place? Reino de los luchadores, gym forearms strength, pulling the strings backstage.

The dead hang exercise benefits the shoulders, spine, and grip endurance. Most importantly, it suits those whose work is predominantly sedentary as it helps to alleviate some of the adverse effects that come with sitting for too long.
The dead hang cured my sciatica 20 odd years ago
So true! This worked for my husband’s sciatica ❤
I LOVE the dead hang...it decompresses my back soooo well
Thanks! Slowly approaching 50, defiantly in need of a tune-up, or better said: overhaul. Content added to my new year resolutions bucket list.
Dead hang looking forward or downwards?
I have been living in tightness and pain for over a year now. Been to many Dr’s and they do not know what’s going on with me. I have constant tightness in my neck and upper back. I get these awful knots in my upper traps as well. Could it be I am just not physically active enough and should be moving more and doing these great exercises you posted?
I started doing dead hangs during my stretching. Really cool to develop that. I’m going to try the others as well.
Hurt my shoulder 12 months ago and posture became bad as certain positions (unnatural ones) were the only way I could get the shoulder pain to go away, posture pain has been bad upper and lower back but these have helped a bunch ❤
Very good exercises and well explained Thanks
Is there any way of replicating dead hang if you dont have the equipment or capability to do that? Also, are these to be done every day?
I love doing the dead hang. A few years ago I couldn't hang on for more than a short period now I am up there for almost 2 minutes.
How much rest between sets of 30-second dead hangs, a brief pause or so?
with shoulder issues can't do dead hang .. with knee issues can't do deep squats .. but bridge & needle look good ...
Honestly these are not exercises for flashy look but exercises for healthy living, since I've been seeing fitness content I have never come across one that has all these beneficial workouts in one content. That dead hang reduces shoulder and back stiffness a lot more than any exercise, the farmers walk is a workout that will hit your shoulder in a way that you won't ever feel in any shoulder exercises. Hip bridge is an exercise that all men should necessarily include in their plan; this workout has massive benefit in men's sexual life. In fact, if you can do it the right way holding your pelvic muscle while doing the bridge then you'd stay active sexually forever. Resting squat creates more mobility and strength for the legs; it's more like an advanced version of wall hold squat. The rotation workout is also great, one can add elastic band to create more tension to hit the spine. One exercise I would like to add to this perfect wonderful list is the Superman back extension. Lower back is one of the most important aspects of our body functionality; a strong body with a weak lower back limits athletic performance and overall health. Please everyone take these workouts seriously, these workouts are for those who workout for health rather than for their looks.
I have a short hanging bar that bends my legs. Is that a good exercise?
I can only dead hand for 5-10 seconds. My weight is 123 kg now, a year ago I weighed 156 kg.
Important correction. "easily use a cheap hanging bar." NO! Do not use any old crappy bar. It must be more than secure. The one shown was no good. get one that you screw brackets into door jamb or something good, good, good.
Try a one arm hang and you'll instantly realise that movies are bs.
