When reporting a scam to the FTC, you should provide as much information as you know. This includes whether the scammer offered to fix a problem with your computer, if you sent the scammer any payment, and who they were pretending to be (e.g., government authority or trusted business). You'll also have an opportunity to share comments, which should include the history of the interaction, what actions you took, what kind of payments were made, and to whom.
