Wrong order and forgotten items
Placed and order for a #14 large with Sprite I wanted it with the gravy and bbq sauce. had to repeat the order a few times to the guy then ordered a #1 with no tomatoes with a Sprite. The guy got that one first time. That finished the first order and then we placed a second order. The second order was a double meat whatburger plain meat and cheese only. That finished the second order. We waited then got to the window and payed for the first order and the guy handed us the 2 Sprite.then waited like 3mins and he hands us the double meat plain which was perfect. We sat there for another 3-4 mins and the guy comes and ask what we were missing. We said the first order and handed him the card to pay for the second order lol right. So with the window open he yells to another employee "hey where is that #14 and #1" the guy says something but I didn't hear it then the guy asks us to pull around and he will bring us the order. we wait for maybe 5 minutes and he brings us the orders. We grab the spicy ketchup I love and leave because we just wanted to go home by now. We get down the road and I'm checking the bag. Surprise the #14 has no fries also they didn't give me the gravy. We didn't get a receipt for the first one but did for the second one.
Quality of food
I visit my area whataburger at least once a week order the # 13 chicken strip meal and extra gravy. I work where I do not really have time to sit down for a lunch break so after I get off shift I will stop by and pick up my favorite meal. This time my chicken strips were dryed out and fries somewhat warm, I almost felt I had receive a meal someone didn't pick up. I was extremely tired so didn't feel like getting back in the drive thru or walk in to complain. This trip for my fav meal was a big let down.
Managers
I am an employee at the Whataburger in Lake Jackson Tx store number 0532 and although i love working for Whataburger the managers make it really hard for me to want to stay there. They all show favoratism. They are very unfair, they talk about other employees personal business to other employees. As for me my complaint is that they want to cut my hours because i be having to call in at times when my babysitter back out on me. I have 4 children and at times they get sick or get hurt because after all they are kids. Well im hearing from all managers at different times that they are talking about me in a negative way and discussing my personal matters with other employees that arent managers and im sick of it. The area manager doesnt do anything to help the situation because he dont even take out the time to listen to anyone in an orange shirt. I feel like something needs to be done.
Food handling
Manager was handling the hamburger buns with her bare hands right after she just bussed a table. It is my understanding that ready to eat foods are not to be touched with bare hands. I observed none of the employees wearing gloves. I observed another worker hand my fries to me by grabbing the fry box from the top touching the fries with his bare hands. I won't be eating there again.
Breakfast
I went to whataburger and ordered 2 pancake platters only a sausage biscuit. Got all the way home and did not have what I ordered. I went yesterday morning and ordered a pancake platter and sausage biscuits and didn't check but food was right. This morning I didn't check because I thought it was on point customer service. I got home had bout one whole piece of bacon broken up in one along with about two onions and a piece of lettuce on my pancake which means my cakes were oniony. Not acceptable. I don't do complaints but this time I had to. This is the whataburger in Richland MS. The lady at the inside front counter skills were on point and she was trying to change my experience and she did but when I got home I was mad all over again. No one wants pancakes with an oniony taste. There's room for improvement.
Integrity of the workers and timeliness
Okay workers at this certain location just don't give a ####, excuse my language, they hide later at night and blast music and you can be waiting hours and they WILL NOT help you, you literally have to be the a-hole customer and like holler back into the kitchen to get someone's attention then when they come they have an attitude with you like you're not supposed to be eating there or something, from then on they make your food and the whole time make jokes and say stuff you can't hear and constantly look up at you to see if you heard or something, makes you start wondering what they may be doing to your food? Then once they bring your food I still politely say thanks man I appreciate it, and he doesn't say a word back nor does he change his expression or acknowledge I even said anything just simply walks away. I'm just tired of it, making you feel like the bad guy for wanting some whataburger, makes you not want to go anymore or just not as often,
Service
The supervisor dave works there and fires people without any reason and says that he has proof of somebody doing stuff they arent doing. He doesnt show the proof he also curses at the employess ive seen it my self when ordering he also gives customers very ugly looks he works at the store on 21st & yale in tulsa Oklahoma. He needs to be fired instantly
Food/behavior/service
I was recently in the drive through on Thursday at whataburger on cypress and san pedro in san antonio texas. When I pulled up to get my food and pay I saw one of your employees a long haired black male grabbing from behind one of your employees a white female who looked a great deal younger. When I asked the girl at the window to speak with a manager the same male who had grabbed the girl in an inappropriate place walked up to the window. I guess he was the manager, after reading his name tag it said Mark Webb, I just said nevermind and drove off. I don't like the fact that people who are making my food are also touching one another even if they are in a relationship it is not appropriate and made me uncomfortable.
Unnnnnnnprofessssional. He'd be fired if they found out.
You can't really assume age by appearance. I have known individuals to look twenty when they are thirty, and vice versa.
Sauces
I asked for 2 ranch and 4 salsa Verde just to be told this time that I was going to have to pay for 1 of those ranches and for the extra salsa verde. This astounded me due to being a frequent customer to find this out especially since last time I was at whataburger I had no problems getting all the sauces listed above. I feel that this is outrageous to begin with anyways I paid a good amount of money and to be denied sauces unless I pay more is completely and utterly terrible. I may after this decide to stop coming to whataburger I'm tired of restaurants doing things like this.
Drive through
I visit whataburger 3-5 times a week in the el paso and las cruces area. Whataburger is the burger I love and compare any other burger to it as it is my gold standard. I always order a green chile double jr. With a large unsweetened iced tea. 90 percent of the time the order is entered as a meal. If I am distracted with phone calls, I end up with fries I do not want. I have spoken to several of your managers and wonder if this is not training performed by your company in hopes to get extra sales as many of the customers will not return to correct the order. I look forward to a response. I am currently asking a local tv station that to perfom a random survey of your restraunts to prove my complaint.
Tell them "a la carte, please." I'm sure they'll get it. (When I lived in TX we called them "squat-a-burgers." Hated them. Definitely not Yankee food).
You will want to contact the individual store or their corporate office. They cannot assist you here.
Burger patty melt/ double patty jalapeños butger
I've went to the whataburger on texas hwy 290 by Jones road and both times they screwed up my order not giving me the sauce and onions and jalapeños on my patty melt I spend my share on money to get what I want is ridiculous that I pay 9 dollars for a burger and they manage to get it wrong . Complaint on managers
I want to file a complaint on the managers that are at the balch springs location my brother is being bullied there.my brother and his coworker got to work and they help the elderly adults to their car and the manager tells my brother to leave because he late and sends him home and they throw water at him and his car almost everyday that they work.
My food not being done twice
I got a number 23 pancake platter and it was not cooked all the way. Went back through and asked them to remake my order and they did no questions asked. When I got my rake order it was still not cooked properly. It was still doughy and not done. I was so upset I threw it away! I had to get my husband to work on time. This was an 45 min. And $8 waste of my time and my money. I am very Un-satisfied. You need to get a better cook who knows how to cook the food because I may never get food from there again. This was one of the worst experience with my food.
Spit in food
I complained about no one taking my order in lane B of drive through. I was waiting a long time so I tried to say hello and even backed up and pulled back over the sensor but still nothing. I gave up and switched lanes and waited another 10 minutes in lane A only to watch a car pull into lane B and someone promptly take their order?! I pulled up to the window and explained what had happened but she pretended not to know anything even saying there were no cars in lane B?! Which I just rolled my eyes to because there was one I was looking at right at that moment... so i'm about 99% sure they spit in my food after inspection so I just threw it all away. I would say I'm pretty livid and won't be visiting whataburger again anytime soon!
Order accuracy and quality
I've frequented this Whataburger for over 15 years an average of 4 times weekly. Until recently service and quality were unmatched by any other fast food here. Two weeks ago I ordered a Junior Combo (#7) with mayo, and a limeade. I got a cold burger that couldn't possibly have 'just been made or under a heat lamp'. The bun and cheese were as if out of the fridge and fries were cold as well. Called mngr who offered free next visit. Same thing-so cold it had to have been purposely done as it wasn't a 'sat there so long' deal but placed in fridge or in front of ac vent. It took over a week to even want to try again. Today I did...#1 Combo w mayo atw, fries, Coke. Again I got mustard and all of it cold. What happened? How did it go from good burgers, correct temperature, accurate orders, to absolutely horrible taste, as if kept in tefridgerator, no attempt to get order accurate. There used to be long lines so I would have understood inaccuracy, but now there's only a car or two so no excuse. Couldn't find 'complaint firm' on web site. I hate to complain, I know new mngr, always excellent wherever he's been, was nice about first complaint and replaced junior Combo but it too was horrible. Spoke with 5 friends who advised they'd stopped going to that location but going out to one on I-45, but that's 10 more miles for me! Not fair.
Dual lane drive through - dangerous for their employees
Hello ... I had submitted a complaint online and spoke with the local district manager (Gary Hunter) about the store in Forney, Tx. Since that conversation, I was directed to talk with Don Kirk but cannot reach him about the issue at hand. The issue specifically deals with the safety of the employees having to work the dual lane drive through and the manager of the Forney store cited that this was a Whataburger Corporate rule that they had to follow to comply with being a franchise establishment. BTW, he disagrees with sending his employees out in the dual lane of traffic as well but claims has to follow the rules from corporate.
I visited the Whataburger restaurant at 962 E US Hwy 80, Forney, Tx at 710pm on 9/4/16 via drive thru.
Having been to the restaurant on numerous occasions, I had know about the dual lane drive-thru (been in it a few times) and I asked the young man working the drive thru if Whataburger was using 2 lanes in drive thru to wait on customers, he said yes but the woman that was working it that day left early.
So around 730pm I was able to leave with my food. The food was wonderful.
I'm surprised this organization has decided to use dual lane drive-thru making their employees working the drive-thru to dodge in-between running/parked cars. This specific restaurant has very little room for the employees to get around in between the vehicles when both lanes are in use.
It's dangerous/unsafe to be putting employees in that type of work environment. In order for the employee to get to the second lane of cars, they have to walk in front of / in between other running vehicles in the drive-thru. It doesn't matter what type of safety gear you give the employees, the fact of the matter is everyone makes mistakes and using this practice will result in one of the employees in getting hit by a car at some point. Is it really worth a few dollars to Whataburger for putting their employees in an unsafe environment?
I was told that the dual lanes are only used during peak times of the day, but that doesn't matter, it's still an unsafe practice.
Please abandon that practice of putting your employees in danger while working the drive thru waiting, I will boycott this chain if nothing is changed.
Regards,
Mike Taggart
Drive thru
Next time an associate offers you ketchup and you say yes please, make sure you check the bag to confirm they actually put it in there. Also, you might have to ask for a straw so you can drink your drink through the slot on the lid that they provided on your paid drink.
Slow service, confused, unorganized employees, online survey wont work.
The store located at 725 E. Centerville Rd, Garland TX 75051, store #88
I placed a to go order inside the store because the line of cars was backup all the way to the opposite side of the store from the drive through window. My order was placed at 1:19 pm for two #1 meals. The inside was not that busy waiting on customers. Only three people in front of me. There were a whole bunch of people waiting on their orders with drink cups in their hands and an order number plastic tent card in their hand. I waited a full 20 minutes to get my order. I'm lucky I'm retired and didn't have to get back to work. I would have been late if I was working. Then the online survey that is supposed to reward you with a free whataburger if you buy a drink and french fry. It doesn't even work. I tried 4 times without success. I'm not impressed with Whataburger right now.
Customer service/#1 whataburger with cheese
Recently we were in League City. Stopped in at local Whataburger to get dinner. Ordered through Drive-In. Ordered was repeated back to us and was correct. Advanced to first window to pay. Amount was correct as stated when we ordered. Proceeded to second window to pick up our order where we were told that our order had been given to another customer. Asked...
