Shady car sales
I went to Whitby/ Oshawa Honda dealership looking to buy my first brand new car. I knew i wanted a 2014 Honda fit LX in grey. I went out for a test drive and was happy, everything seemed great. When I finally was ready to sign with my dad as a co-signer The sales person said there may not be any left in Ontario. I waited one week before hearing back that there were none left in the province . I was being pressured to buy the 2015. So i called around myself to 5 different dealerships. Behold i found three of them not only that but a grey LX had just been sold that day. If the sales person had of actually looked for one i would have got it but instead i lost my chance. When i called and complained many times about finding multiple cars myself they anounced they had one being sent over . I still was not happy. After many arguments and honda whitby screwing around i finally found a black fit sport. Not the one i wanted but the next model up. I have to pay more but i have no choice i need a car now and they held out on me now for almost two weeks. Buying your first new car is suppose to be an exciting experience. I had nothing but stress and arguing with Whitby Honda. They are out for as much money as they can pull from your pockets and do not care about making the custumer happy. I would never shop there again.

Poor Customer Service, Poor Product Quality
Do not buy a vehicle from Whitby Oshawa Honda. We purchased a brand new CR-V and upon inspection at delivery, WE found a small dent in the side and a large scratch across the hood (their employees did not notice either of these issues). The manager and the owner did not care that we were unhappy, minimized our concerns and were condescending. We thought we were getting a new vehicle, but it was already damaged. They offered to fix the damage for free, but it was NEW, it should not have needed to be fixed. They don't care about their customers and were not at all concerned that we were unhappy with their product and the way we were treated. This was a $35, 000 vehicle... I get better customer service and satisfaction guarantees from a retail store with a $10.00 purchase. This issue was brought to Honda Canada and we received the same treatment - they don't care about their customers. This experience was extremely difficult - we felt used and taken advantage of. We will never purchase a Honda again.

We took our 1999 Honda CRV to Whitby Oshawa Honda for brakes - it ended up costing us $1100 as they said the drums needed to be turned, the front left ball joint needed replacing. When we returned for a small antifreeze leak, they installed a new rad which cost us $800. The next time we went in for servicing was when our exhaust had a leak (a flange gasket) and they said it would cost $450 for the pipe which has to be replaced, which was fine with us. However, the next morning they called my husband and said we needed an Oil pan (same as the other complaint on here), timing belt, and that our differential mount was broken, and that we needed the right front ball joint, so altogether the repairs would cost us $2000. My husband said I will be right down to pick up my car.
He took it to another recommended mechanic who found nothing wrong with the differential mount but who said the ball joints BOTH needed replacing (even though Honda supposedly fixed the left one a couple of months earler) He also said the oil pan was fine, just rusty. We decided to check further.
We took our vehicle to another mechanic, who replaced the right ball joint only and said everything else was fine. So it cost us around $100. Quite an improvement from $2, 000. I figure Honda has fancy showrooms to pay for. I will never take my vehicle there again.

Started a year ago when we brought my wife's 2005 Honda Civic in for maintenance and asked the dealer to also check for why her car pulled to one side. Honda came back saying her front struts were in need to be replaced...soon. I couldn't imagine why they needed to be replaced, not like her car was bouncing down the road. Anyways, a couple of months later...
