WinCo Foods quinoa flour

Would you please start carrying Quinoa Flour? This product is not only healthy for everyone but is especially beneficial to diabetics. It is so hard to bake for a diabetic as flour has been stripped of all its nutrients and is categorized as high glycemic index and cause the blood sugar to raise high and very quickly. Quinoa Flour has a low glycemic index as it does not raise the blood sugar level quickly but release the carbohydrates slowly.

WinCo Foods hot shot petsafe natural flying insect killer

I have been buying the EcoSmart pet safe natural flying insect killer month after month after month for years and years ever since WinCo Foods had it on the Shelf and I've never stopped ever and then all of a sudden it was off the Shelf tonight and replaced when Hotshot PetSafe natural flying insect killer that has really made me ill and because of using the hot shot I now have all the windows open and the fan blowing after using it sparingly in the bathroom only and I can never buy this product from WinCo Foods ever again. For years I've been giving WinCo Foods of a ton of money buying the EcoSmart pet safe natural flying insect killer and have proven it one hundred percent safe for years and I am able to spray it above my head and let it fall on my skin and around my bed and around and underneath my pets bed and even cover my bird cage with napkins and spray the gnats and flying insects above my bird cage and I can spray that all through the house in the air everywhere and I have never gotten sick nor have I ever had to open the windows of the house or anything after spraying the EcoSmart PetSafe natural flying insect killer all through the house and I have given you tons and tons of money 4 years buying this product but I cannot give you the business buying this hot shot natural pet safe flying insect killer because like I said, just using it sparingly in the bathroom stunk up my whole house made me ill and I can in no way shape or form use the Hot Shot around my bed around my pet bed after it making me ill using it sparingly in the bathroom and even if you raise the price up on the EcoSmart pet safe natural flying insect killer I need that back up on the Shelf immediately and desperately and I am willing to pay a higher price.

WinCo Foods bulk dried apricots

I chipped my molar on a pit fragment that was in a dried apricot from your bulk section. As it was in the bulk section, it didn't contain a warning that it may contain pits or pit fragments. It seems almost an inevitability that dental damage would result from dried apricots with pit fragments because dried apricots are so tough that they can't be chewed or bitten into softly or carefully. Essentially, the amount of biting force necessary to chew the apricot is more than enough to damage a molar if applied to a surprise pit fragment.

I assumed someone would want to know since this is potentially a problem that can recur.

WinCo Foods bulk foods

I was told yesterday that I can no longer use my own containers for bulk food and must use the single use containers provided by the store. This is more than annoying since it will cause a huge impact on the waste stream. I was told it is an OSHA regulation. I could not find that regulation in OSHA regulations. I do my best to be green and this is heartbreaking. Plastic is the enemy. It ruins the whole purpose of bulk foods. We are forced to use packaged food, even tho it is us putting the bulk food in the package. Common guys! This is contra - intuitive and bad for the planet. Where is is this plastic going to end up? I'll tell you what. Set up a recycle for all this plastic that comes from your store! Then I'll be happy.

WinCo Foods wrongfully charged

Hello my name is Amanda.
I was with my family at your winco store #0101 and had the cashier Joanne J. on 05/03/17 at 19:20:14 hours on term # 13. I purchased quite a few items but made sure every item was as low of priced as we are low on funds until the 10th. Particularly one item we were well over charged for. I had purchased the broccoli soup from the deli which was only 1.98 and the cashier twice out the wrong code in, it wasn't until later I got home after putting the kids to bed did I realize I didn't even get my soup, but when I checked the receipt it says she charged me 12.98 for the item. I see again she put the wrong code in and I'm assuming the soup got left at checkout. I am seeing how I can get this resolved as it is too late for me to get to the store tonight and I've tried calling, but it is past hours as the recording said.

If you have a complaint, than take it up with me, but I’m getting the feeling the only reason both of you came on this thread was because you both know me, and typed my name in on google and came across this. Half the time, people assume and Las judgement based on their own perspective instead of off truth. All too much feelings cloud facts. I can say in my experience in my past, it took two.

First they wouldn’t allow me to call to address the issue, I had to file a public statement to them. I never thought this would be posted.I have three kids and work and was struggling. I relinquish my tax refund at the end of the year in it’s entirety including all of my child’s dependent tax credit which would’ve been over 4, 000 so actually I paid for my own food Since I’m a taxpayer myself not including the couple extra thousand and I paid on top of it with my tax refund. And when you say who’s money is really getting wasted? Wouldn’t it be my obligation to get this addressed so tax payer money is not being wasted? That was my dinner for the night and I didn’t get to eat you’re a real piece of work aren’t you. and just to be clear you cannot pay with food stamps or WIC for hot food items that was my own cash. WIC is at women infants and children and those WIC checks were for my children. Thankfully I’m in a position where I can help people now but I wouldn’t have been able to unless I reached out for help. That’s what these programs are here for not people like you attacking and harassing single moms, You are the reason mothers let their kids starve because they’d rather avoid being attacked for reaching out for help

WinCo Foods winco acne treatment cream

I bought a cream from winco food maximum strength acne treatment cream as I had pimples on my face and it burnt me. Never have my skin look like that. This is not right. it burned my skin. I recommend not using this particular cream ever again. I wish to get a full refund for this product. I have never had to experience such a bad reaction. You should be sued for even keeping a product like this in your store. These are burn scars.. every time I touch my skin peels off. The first day I put I got up to extreme dryness this is second day and my skin looks awfully scary
Im sorry this product should be banned and not allowed to be sold in stores.

WinCo Foods bulk food bins

I have been shopping at Winco Foods for sometime now, but sadly to say their Customer Service is horrible. Sunflower Seeds (Bulk Food Item) was a favorite snack of mine. I liked to eat them to keep me from snacking on sweets. I went in and purchased about half a bag of seeds around the holidays. Later that evening I was snacking on my seeds when I bit down on something odd, at first I thought nothing of it because if you eat seeds you know that sometimes you get pieces of salt in them. I rolled the unidentified piece with my tongue and something jabbed me. I spit out the item and saw something I have never seen before in my life. My tongue bled and the roof of my mouth bled. I immediately rinsed my mouth out til the bleeding stopped. Upon inspection of my mouth and tongue I saw [censored]ly like thornes. I picked them out and continued with a peroxide rinse. The following next day I called and spoke to a manager (Gabby) I told her about the incident, she asked me to come in. When I came in she had gone home ill, but she left word with the Liquor Department about the incident and to expect me. I went in spoke with a lady work there inthat department. She told me she expected me. I told her what happened and showed her the bug I had been chewing on and she freaked out. She did know what to do but say "Oh my God..." She said she will let the manager know. I had to tell her to take my information down so the manager could call. No call came in. Approximately a week later, I called back. The manager said she forwarded to the Bulk Foods Manager.
Calls like this went on for sometime. Finally, Gabby said she was going to report him due to his poor response time and nonchalant attitude. That never happened. Needless to say I no longer eat them and still suffer emotionally about this. "Winco Foods you should be ashamed of yourself". You are suppose to be a company that employees own a percentage of therefore you should have customer empathy. You want the public to buy from you, but you do not care for your customers.

WinCo Foods winco foods human resources personnel

I have worked for winco for 9 years and contacted HR personnel for some policy violation with lead clerks, and she stated that she will look into it and suggested I talk to the manager of the store and if I have any other questions contact her. So, in other words, she won't do anything about it and ignore the issue. I guess that is what she gets paid to do, is ignore the problem.
Wow, winco is not employee owned, its CEO owned. Focus on customers and not employees that are the ones that make the business work!

I have continually put in application for different departments in my store in Bremerton, Washington. Everytime they're going to hire me my department manager stops, now no one will give me a chance even though I have the experience. The reason. I want out of my department because the department manager disappears for hours and I end up doing her job and she gets the praise for it. Can t something be done?

WinCo Foods cashier

I had bought some groceries along with a burrito from the deli. The burrito was 1/2 wrapped and hot and by the time I got to check out the burrito was broken in half and still couldn't put it down and pay for my groceries! So I asked the cashier want I was supposed to do with the burrito, being upset from a broken burrito half unwrapped she states that I should eat it! That comment made me madder! I went to customer service where Darcy and Lisa were more than happy to get me a fresh burrito! My hats off to those ladies!
The cashier on check stand 13 was Madison M.
I was a former employee and didn't appreciate the attitude of the cashier!

Then he proceeded to fallow us around hassling us while we tried to ignor him and finish our shopping.

WinCo Foods harassment

Today went in to winco to go grab some of the candy and when I walked in that store my intention was to pay for my candy. Well I see people pack all sorts of candy in one bag and I go to pay and she told me to do it separately so went back and did what she asked. Well I hear her page 519 and so I left that big bag of candy and made new ones in little bags and an "undercover" witch was very obvious comes over looks at me walks past me then picks up that big bag of candy pits it back then asks how it's going I said good and left it at that. Then I go to pay for my candy and that same lady that told me I could pay for the big back watches everything I was checked by our one by one and I felt really harassed and will never step foot back in to Winco Foods in Idaho Falls

WinCo Foods maggots found in food

I went shopping this morning and as I was checking out there was a liquid split on some of the food. I couldn't find the source so I continued packing. When I got home I found a jar of spaghetti sauce that looked like it had burst. Inside the sauce was black mold and it was filled with maggots. I had already put most of my groceries away so I had to pull everything out of my fridge to check. Im hopping I found everything that was contaminated. I had to scrub down my fridge, my counters, and my car to clear our all of the maggots that had escaped. I am horrified by this experience. I am taking everything I couldn't clean properly back but Im disappointed in all the time ive lost & the thought of having to check and worry about the food Im getting in your store. This was the Modesto ca store.

WinCo Foods winco distributef grated parmesan cheese, 8oz glass jar

I purchased this product at your store located at 57th Ave and Bell Rd, Phoenix AZ in Dec 3rd.
I did not notice the contents of the jar container, primarily due to the label covering most of the container.
On Dec 6th, wanted to use the "grated cheese" on some lasagna (ingredients also purchased at Winco when I saw that the contents WAS NOT Grated cheese. The contents are light brown in color and has an extreme sodium (salt) taste, more in line with a seasoning salt... NO GRATED PARM. even though is is listed in the ingredients.
Not worth taking back to your store as it is 20 miles from my home.
Have been shopping at this store since it opened and will continue to do so. Respectfully, Gilbert Foulke, Sun City AZ

11/22/22

Oddly enough, I also have 2 containers of Winco 8 0z. Plastic container of Grated Parmesan Cheese that are bad, and are from the same exact store as above: 57th & Bell Road, Phoenix Arizona. But like 6 years later than that last complaint.

I had just finished using an older Winco Parmesan, and it was light whitish/yellowish/beige. I opened one of the new containers, (expires 1/23), and right away noticed the color was darker after drizzling some over the other parm I already put on the pizza, I smelled it, and it just smelled odd, old, wrong! So I opened the second new container I had (expires 2/23), and smelled it after noticing the color was also a darker yellowish/light rust colored. It stunk like the other, I put the top seals back in each container, and closed them tight. It also made my pizza inedible, so had to throw the whole thing out.

Took a chance and googled bad Winco Parmesan Cheese, and here I am. Do I return this to the Winco I bought it at (I no longer have the receipts) or is this something you can help me with?

WinCo Foods rude behavior at the customer service return/exchange counter

Dear Winco,
Today November 29, 2016 at 5pm, I went to your Duncanville, TX. location, store #0124. Today was an annoying time for me in your store. I returned two packs of berries that went bad very quickly.in returning the berries to your store for an even exchange, your customer service clerk chastised me like I was a child by questioning me as to when your product went bad and informing me that you do not take back produce or anything in the store that goes bad.

Shame on Winco, if this is your policy! And if it is your policy I think you need to place your policy online so the consumers have an option to shop in your store or not, since you are selling bad products.

I have been a customer of your store since you opened in Duncanville, TX, store #0124 and this employee has not only been rude to me but to other customers, too. For example, when you opened your store you had a promotion on a specific item that was on sale which customers were allowed to get four items of that specific product. A blind gentleman was purchasing four items of that product, at the your self service counter, along with his caregiver. She refused to allow him to purchase eight items of that product, four items for himself and four items for his caregiver. I purchased the four items and gave them to his caregiver. This woman is completely insensitive to your customers’ needs and wants.

They say it is the head and not the tail. Obviously, she is the tail and it appears this is how Winco wants to run its business. I’ll make sure that I spread the word.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Walker

WinCo Foods deli head, management, mira

The woman who has taken over the deli/seafood departments is a hateful discriminatory woman who imposes her personal beliefs on all of her employees. I have watched one store in particular, as it is the one in my area, eugene. She has forced her employees to remove their wedding rings, and doesn't allow them to wear any 'jewelry', including item that quite frankly, need to be worn. It is disgusting that she forces her employees to remove their clear, skin colored, gauges, leaving their gaping ear holes to flap loosely at their customers, which is both disgusting and unhygienic. Seeing women I have known for years be forced to take off their wedding rings, even though they are wearing gloves over their hands at all times and constantly washing their hands is heartbreaking. She took away the hats, leaving the hairnets uncovered which is also unsightly, and unsafe, as I have seen the nets roll up and fall off. About a month or two ago, I had the great displeasure of watching her 'inspect' the store, and was flabbergasted at what I saw. Had I known she was an actual employee of the company, and not a representative of osha as I had assumed, I would have called for the manager. The way she speaks to her employees is demeaning and rude. She has no idea what she is doing, and is trying to implement unsafe cleaning practices, and idiotic rules. Daily deep-cleaning deteriorates surfaces, and only need to be done weekly. Removing tools from the area because they are 'dirty' is also laughable, as employees are expected to wash their hands after handling a broom, dustpan or six-wheeler. I have watched my favorite employees be forced to leave after she came on, most simply wanting to get away from her, but others having no choice as they faced termination for rules she was implementing that violated their religious practices and beliefs, despite the fact that they are protected under state and federal law!

Winco foods need to fire this woman. Until they do I will no longer be shopping there, and will be telling my friends to support local businesses that have the decency and respect to treat their employees fairly and justly.

WinCo Foods customer unprofessional service

On July 22, 2016 at 22:29
The store wasn't as busy as usual and the cashier by the name of Maria decided to close her line as I approached to be checked out. I understood and moved to the next available cashier. After unloading my cart with 15 items I noticed that she allowed another customer to come after she closed her line. I approached her and let her know how upset I was and how her unethical Behavior needed to be reported to Management.

After speaking with the night Manager (Josh) he stated that he will report her to Management.

In my opinion, the customer Service at this Location need to be re trained and rewarded for excellent Customer Service

WinCo Foods lead clerk

I'm currently an employee at Winco in Garland I have a complaint against a Lead Clerk on the overnight crew I'm not sure what his name is, but he was rude to my fiance as I had got off work my fiance wasn't doing anything except waiting on me I didn't know my fiance couldn't stand and wait for me along side me when I clock out. It was the first time anyone said anything and the guy started causing a scene and other employees and customers were looking over at us like what the world is going on. I did not appreciate the guy acting the way he did. I love working with the company and this is the only complaint I have. He did not show good customer service at all.
