Don't and I mean don't buy their windows. I told the salesman exactly what I wanted. That is not what I got. I had 2 people at the meeting with me who heard me tell him what I wanted. Wanted: being outside windows and beige box around, solar windows; white trim on the inside. Well, what I got was the white on the inside, white on the outside and beige boxes. My house looks like crap. I also spent the extra money for solar. This is suppose to save my utility bills. Well, my house was built in 1976, the same windows were still in the house in 2011 when I called Window World to replace the windows.
The windows if they are solar are turned the wrong way, summer was hell and the begining of winter has been as cold as Alaska in our house and our electric and gas bills skyrocketed. These new Window World windows are more drafty than the old 1976 windows.
They say guaranteed...the only guarantee you get is they won't do anything to make it right. Because the salesman wrote what he wanted, I didn't realize he didn't write what I wanted (with regard to colors) and I paid almost $6, 000 in windows (17 windows over $300 per window). I now have a drafty house, high electric bills and the outside colors look horrible and they wonder why I refuse to pay the balance of $2600. When they make the outside of the house the way I asked for it and they fix these crappy windows; then and only then will I pay for the POS windows I had installed.
If you go against what everyone is telling you here...before they leave after installing your windows, go outside and be sure they are what you wanted. I filled out the paperwork before I went outside. When I went outside I asked for the paperwork back and changed what I had written. Had I know then that my windows were as drafty as they are, that the solar, isn't solar like they show in their demonstration..I wouldn't have spent the extra money and I would have gone with Champion or someone else. When you are looking at the windows check for being drafy...all the windows they installed have draft issues...draft is coming from the windows and not around the outside sides.
I have NOTHING and I mean nothing good to say about this company. They don't care what you want, they don't give you what you order and the windows will be very drafty after their installation. They half listen to what you are telling them during the sales meeting. If Mark comes to your house; run away, as fast as you can.

Window World of Atlanta has installed 4 of my rental properties and multiple properties of my clients. I am a realtor so I recommend them daily, not once out of the 12+ jobs from window world, have I had or recieved a complaint. They are a WONDERFUL people to do business with. I recommend contacting their office for any issues and they will handle them.
We have been contacted by former installers of Window World Pittsburgh seeking employment. The installer told us that when windows were measured wrong, which happens often at Window World, the installer is told to make it fit. Window World pays their installers $25.00 per window. Most window dealers here in Pittsburgh pay $80.00 to $100.00 per window. Window World advertises any size double hung for $189.00. What they fail to mention is the additional charges. The $189.00 window has $11.00 shipping and handling added on at the beginning. They charge $65.00 for aluminum trim, $79.00 for Low-E glass and then add $150.00 for an assurance fee. Do the math 1 window with low-e glass and aluminum trim costs $494.00. Why they ever let this company back into the Better Business Bureau is beyond my pay grade.
We just had a similar issue in Dallas just yesterday. We ordered beige on the outside and white on the inside. The windows arrived on time but in solid beige. The installers called customer service to come out. 30 minutes later the CSR arrived. He was a jerk from the beginning. He said the order stated beige only and that it was up to the salesman to admit a mistake. If the salesman made a mistake "he will be buying 11 windows." More than an hour later the salesman called and of course denied a mistake. He remembered the conversation but said we changed our minds over cost. We NEVER would have enen considered beige interiors. We just had all new WHITE crown moulding and flooring installed in EVERY room...Even the laundry room. The whole reason we went with WW was to gwt the dual colors which some companies didn't offer. The salesman was very soft spoken and great when we met him but a liar when it came down to losing money. Why would any customer lie about the color ordered? I would never recommend WW to anyone.
I will say that the installers were wonderful. They were clean, polite and tried not to damage anything. Some damage was done to sheetrock and they even mixed up some brick red paint that matched to repair it.
I'm making a complaint of my own...I had 17 windows installed. three were measured wrong... had to return ( I research to see who made mistake before I rated them. It was part on sales person and part on input clerk). The eta 3 to 4 weeks out. The installers chipped the window ceil and fix it with caulking. They also caulked some of the other windows ceils that were left open; now I'm left to paint the expose brown wood I gave them a 3+ rating. My first experience was wonderful (I don't remember doing anything the first time around). Also, the first time using window world...I did not know one of my windows came in wrong from the factory according to the new installers...the safety on the window is wrong. Relationships change quickly now that I would like compensation. This is want they said..10% off on my next referrals. I want my 10% now. For the coiling... the sale Rep reduced it to $60.00 (which is cost)instead of the $85. I wanted the coiling done free. During the customer service conversation I said I could agree with coiling at $60 and also 10%, they said can't do. So I guess I take my next 12 windows somewhere else. You got any recommendation? It does not look like I will refer 3 of my friends who need windows(I'm retracting my statement). I was so proud of window world; Now it's different. I would have stuck with window world thru thick or thin. they not only stand by them (window) they stand on them, that is their motto. It's the complaining customer they have problems with. I'm done. Now I'm not even sure if I got the product I ordered with the argon gas because I did not see any labeling. So disappointed; I know there are other companies out there; but I wanted to be a Window World Champion. Ms. Smith Marietta, GA.
My windows did not fit and they put metal on the outsde to cover the gaps. this has been going on for months.. i will never order fro thm again failed to mention the first windows was a good job. this is the second time i kept telling them the windows were not the correct size with all the space around the. so they put metal on the outside gaps and called it headers. does look like the other windows and yes you can tell the differnce
the first windows were fine. I ordered a secod time the windows did not fit correctly, so they put metal on the outside and called it headers. you can see the difference in the windows.. they covered up the large gaps so now i have 2 windows with this crap the other 4 fit and does not have this crap. been trying to get them to finish the windows since they started in jan
