I published with Xulon in 2014, paid my contract amount in full, and have yet to receive one cent of royalties from them. My book is listed on multiple web sites and some with feedback from purchasers who read the book.
The only communication I've gotten from them is a request for an annual fee to keep my manuscript on file with them, which is ridiculous, because they are already making money marketing my creativity.
Authors cannot track sales volume using their ISBN-This needs to be fixed.
Claimed loss: Unmeasurable dollar amount, but most likely not exceeding $100.00
Desired outcome: Xulon knows the volume of my books ordered, printed, invoiced, and shipped to various sites. I would appreciate receiving a minimum of 25% of that dollar amount.

It appears as though Xulon Press is taking advantage of its authors. Ask for an exact royalty statement and full explanation of your book sales. Don’t pay their annual fee unless they prove transparency and accountability. Inform the Better Business Bureau about their actions and other consumer protection organizations concerned with this matter. Publicize what happened to you in order to alert other writers; engage a publishing lawyer who specializes in recovering rights or scrutinizing their accounting methods.
