Diamond rings that I had resized .
I had a 3 ring set of diamond rings resized at the Zales store in Norman, OK. When the rings came back into the store, the manager said that the diamonds had been removed for cleaning! I did not ask for the rings to be cleaned or diamonds removed. I was stunned...never had my rings had the diamonds removed for any reason. I noticed that the brilliant sparkle was no longer there. The diamonds had been replaced. Now, there is a yellowish dark look where some of the diamonds had been replaced with who knows what. It has been 4 years since this happened and I realize that nothing can be done now, but I wanted to speak up so that this could not happen to someone else. I am in my 70's and I believe that often elderly are taken advantage of because of age and the reluctance to speak up in situations like this. This set was expensive back in the 70's when purchased. Thank you so much for letting me get this off my chest. Hopefully this manager is no longer there.

$50 Off deceptive promo
Was Mother's Day shopping and came across this promo on their site - $50 off any purchase of $300 or more. OK, I was looking at something over this amount, so gave up my email and got my code, as well as the obligatory swath of promo emails.
Of course, the coupon indicates all the items NOT eligible, so carefully scan the list and see my item is not listed and proceed. Add to cart, enter my code and... red error text of denial. Item not eligible for the discount. I rescan the coupon, see nothing on there for this item and proceed to chat.
The rep advised it is not eligible for the $50 Off coupon, though struggled to confirm why. First it was because it was a designer item, then it was part of the Disney collection (it was not), then transferred me to another customer care rep. The other rep basically said that the item itself indicates not eligible for discount, and therefore is an unpublished ADDITION to the list of excluded items on the coupon. So, dear consumers, beware this facial coupon as they will randomly add exclusions as they deem appropriate and deny you this $50 coupon.
I did advise the rep that this is deceptive and they are the only retailer I have dealt with recently that does not honor their word on coupons and would be supporting other jewelers. Her response was essentially "anything else I can help you with today?" I accordingly unsubscribed to all future emails.
Beware the scam.

On 11/28/2020 I had gone into Arden Mall in Sacramento to the Zales store to get my diamonds inspected and check for 2020. While I was there I was also looking to purchase some jewelry for me and my wife as well. I was approached by Abdul K due to the other sales rep could not find my ring on the computer. So as Abdul tried to find my info he was telling me that they were having computer issues on pulling people up that day in their systems. So I gave him my info: My cell# [protected] and it pulled up the repairs I had done on my ring, but not the ring purchase when they looked up the ring with the same phone number. So you can tell he was frustrated, and he kept telling me that did I buy the ring from Zales, and I advised him yes like 5 times. I advised him I am a long time customer and have been purchasing jewelry there for a long time. He got even more frustrated in front of me and my wife and said I'm sorry I cannot find me in the system at all. Then he says to me "do you have any paperwork that shows I purchased the ring from Zales" like he was insinuating that I purchased the ring elsewhere. So he kept asking me to provide more info, but I gave him the correct info and he said sorry I can't help you. But all of a sudden he starts yelling and arguing with me with his voice raising "what do you want to do I can't help you" while my wife is by my side. That was very disrespectful and uncalled for by a manager, and I was truly embarrassed and in ragged at the fact that he talked to me that way and got in my face. Then as I try to calm down from what just happened he pulls me to the side and says that his anger and frustration was from the other night when someone got shot in the mall. I advised him that does'nt matter you don't take your frustration and anger out on me because of what happened in the mall.
I am filling an complaint with the better business bureau regarding this issue.
I really feel I never should have been treated this way in that fashion at all.
So I am demanding to be compensated for this, I want to get either a free piece of jewelry from the store or a gift card for me to purchase something from the store. That incident in the store almost made me want to not come back and tell everyone on social media what happened. But I didn't because I still love the store.

I was billed twice for 1 item which I had shipped to the Zales store located at Zales jewlers429-411 86th street, Suite 439, Brooklyn, Ny, 11209-4707. The store associate was great. I picked up my item with my identification. The order # was 10000072664645
I checked my billing cycle today, in which I noticed I was charged twice. I called the customer sales # from the back of my Diamond Store Card. I spoke with approximatley 5-6 representatives, between billing, and customer care. I was informed that they would file a dispute to get this matter cleared up. I advised the representatives, that approximatley 1-2 weeks prior I already filed a dispute. I also advised them that my billing cycle is due next week on November 27, 2020. If I make a minimum payment, or a full payment for the price of 1 ring, I do not want my account to reflect another charge, which may cause a service fee charged to my account, and on top of that a negative impact on my credit report. I logged on to a computer earlier and it still shows that my account owed is: $75.12- Which is incorrect. I intende on going to a zales store tommorow to make a payment, and I would like to know: May I ask for a reduction in the original bill, or a gift card for this inconvenience?

I ordered 4 different wedding bands to try to match with my engagement ring, which also came from zales. None of them matched, so I returned them all. I have the ups return shipping confirmation, but only 1 of the rings was refunded. I am due another $474.49 for the other 3. I tried each of them on once, and kept the tags, original boxes, and invoices with them during the return. I have spent hours on hold through their phone system, their online chat hasn't been available for over a month, and their social media account holders haven't offered anything helpful.

I put my ring in for repair 3/14 no one called to tell ring has be ready for 2 weeks since curbside pick up now we call ring ready . I purchase a pair of LOVE hoop earrings on Nov 9, 2019, one of the broke today 02/03/2020. I reached out to Zales via live chat and i was advised i am past the exchange time frame and that i need to take them to a Zales store to see IF they can repair it. I live over 20 miles from the nearest Zales and i don't have time to go to a store to see IF they will repair them, this is why i shop online because I dont have time to go to the stores. My ring was supposed to be delivered today. Mey fiance answered the door and the ups guy handed him and empty bubble wrap mailer envelope. He asked the UPS guy what was with the huge slash in the envelope side. No ring. He told him he didnt kniw so we told him we were refusing the package. So I called zales and they said they have to do an investigation that can take 2 weeks. The refused to send be another ring or issue a refund. They said I can purchase a discounted loaner to use for the wedding and then return it. I was like are u kidding me why would I do that. So they offered a discount on another ring that was available to be shipped in time for the wedding. I hated them all. I told them I want the same ring I ordered. They said it wont arrive till after the wedding. I ordered it anyways. They couldn't even give me a discount since it was on sale already. Are u kidding me? They offered the discount and then took it back! So yeah I called ups they said they have To investigate as well and it will take 2-3 weeks. So basically I'm screwed even though its between the seller and shipper! My wedding is 12 days from now. Zales said they would try to put the claim as critical since it was for my wedding but they couldn't do anything. They cant even expedite the new replacement ring I paid for. I contacted paypal and they are holding the payment for the first ring but have to do an investigation as well. So sad that Zales doesnt care at all about how it impacts my wedding day! Never will I purchase from them again!
