Dear All,
As a local of Knightsbridge, I went to your store in Brompton Road as I do very often, just after ten o'clock.
I browsed on the ground floor and the went up to the first floor, but before leaving the store, I went to the skirts section since Zara always got very nice collections.
I got 2 skirts, same color but different sizes, after queuing for a while I went to the self service check out and paid, I did notice the screen asked for the security tags to be removed but silly me (totally an oversight from my part, my mistake) I did not sensed any, so I decided to leave.
Of course as leaving the shop the alarm security system went off, the very nice security man asked if I had purchased and I said yes and went to queue to the till hoping to get the tags removed, and EXPLAIN what had happened.
This should give the staff a bit of an idea how to read customers.
I explained what the issue was to the lady at the till and she went suspicious immediately, she called the supervisor (guessing), who asked lots of questions, basically she thought I just stolen the items. Then in a very unpolite manner asked me to WAIT with out giving me any explanation, nowhere to wait next to the till. After 10' she returned I guessed she checked stock and cameras and not even looking at me she said something to the till lady, and off she went, is then when the lady at the till said, You are allowed to leave', like I am in jail, thank you very much!
What kind of customer service that Zara provide? because I do retail myself I definitely your staff need to be retrained. I felt so humiliated standing by the till treated like a thief.
Rest assured that I am returning the skirts and I will not be purchasing any longer at your stores.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you.
