We made a purchase of 2 mattresses at Ashley's Home Furniture & got a loan from AcceptanceNOW. The final total was around $450. We agreed to pay our bill every 20th of the month for 90 days, with no interest. 2 months later, we owe about $200 MORE aside from the $450. We are being charged every 15th of the month, which isn't what we agreed on. We called to ask what is going on, and the lady was EXTREMELY RUDE and showed so much attitude. She was "huffing" making it very obvious that she was annoyed and being disrespectful. I tried to be polite but she was the most unprofessional person I've ever spoken to. This needs to be fixed, why am I being charged more money than what was agreed on?

service - store manager evelyn acceptance now
I was in the store on 7/25/2019 and applied for acceptance now and got approved. I was debating on what furniture I wanted so I didn't return until two days later on 7/27/2019 when it was another women working who was the manager. It was aprox 8:15pm when I approched the acceptance counter to let the women know I now know what furniture I want and I'm ready to turn my ID in because a few days before I had all information except for my ID. The women refused my service because she said she couldn't finish my application within 45 mins and that she had places to go. She also said we "don't help people like you" I pleaded for her help since Ashely furniture is running a good promotion 50% off I couldn't get a better deal plus the younger girl helped me days before and I got approved. I called Ashely furniture store manager to try and get help and the women manager at acceptance one told her she's declineing my service because I used profanity and I never did. I came back the next day hoping she would help me although she said we don't help you kind here. (I'm a black African American women) so she proceeded with the application on 7/28 and said to come back later to later say her DM declined my application. I'm going to the news Chanel and every outlet if someone does not reach out to me [protected]
final payment for furniture
On June 27, 2019, I contacted the Ashley Furniture store in Carle Place, NY where the Acceptance now is located and talked to a Jamel to make the last payment to close out the rental/lease on my account. The amount I was instructed to pay was $103. Prior to this day, I spoke to Jamel who informed me that my account was on a $ 20-month plan and that there...

I had ask for a printout of my payment history from the first day payment made to the current day payment made showing the dollar amount paid and with my cash payments. I was told that they couldn't provide me with this history. It seems that I have been paying way past the ending contract date. I had lost my original copy of the contract.
Help needed.

return of queen mattress and smart adjustable bed base
On March 15, 2019 I financed with AcceptanceNow the bed protection plan, Scarlett-Queen bed, queen mattress and queen adjustable base for a total of $1, 966.98. My items were delivered on March 30, 2019. During the purchase I was advised I had 30 days to try out the mattress and adjustable base before return - if I was not satisfied. My problem began 30-days after my purchase on 4/23/19 when I attempted to have my queen mattress and adjustable base switched out for a pillow top mattress and box spring. I contacted Bob's Customer Care after speaking with AcceptanceNow (AN) Richard AN manager who stated I needed Bob's Discount to put an approval code in the 'system.' Richard stated after a new mattress was picked out he could rewrite the contract. Upon contacting Bob's customer care I was advised they would only accept the mattress and not the adjustable base. I then contacted AN and spoke with Chasity who was very rude. I called back and asked for the manager and got Richard who advised he would schedule a pickup for the mattress only. I agreed and he stated he would call me back with a schedule date and time of pickup.
May 10 - no one has called to provide a date/time for pickup. Called AN and spoke with Amy who stated I should call Bob's Furniture Customer Care to get approval. I attempted to explain I had already done so and was given the run-a-round. She stated that was AN's policy. Called customer care and was given the same information "AN has to provide approval!"
May 22 - still no return call from AN with pickup date/time. I then called AN and got Gabby who stated she would look into the issue and call me within the hour. A call was then received from my sales associate Eva (from Bob's) who stated she has received approval from the store manager and AN district manager and that they will pickup the mattress and adjustable base. Eva indicated I should now call AN back to schedule the pickup. I called and got Richard who stated that 1) if I wanted to return the items the district manager Renee indicated I can not utilize AN for financing in the future. 2) all payments made to date would only toward the mattress and base and if I wanted to keep the bed none of my payments made up to this point would go toward the purchase of the bed and that I would have to pay the $549 to purchase the bed! My payments would only be toward the mattress and base although they were all purchased under the same contracted. I told Richard he could schedule a pickup for all items (queen bed, frame, mattress and adjustable base). Richard once again stated 'let me call for a pickup and I'll call you back in 10 minutes.'
May 23 - still no call from Richard with pickup date. Called and spoke with Diamond who stated Richard was off and will return tomorrow. Diamond stated they are still waiting for someone to call them to schedule a pickup.
I do not want anything of the items purchased. Therefore, I am requesting that all items be picked up from my home immediately with no further payments toward the purchase of the stated items listed in paragraph 1.

I financed approximately $632.00 and was very clear that I wanted to pay this off in 90 days. This was in May 2018, I mad my payments in store and prior to the experation of the 90 day period I made a payment in July 2018. I was in store at that time no one indicated to me that my 90 days would expire in less than a week. Had they told me I would have paid it off. None of this was ever fully explained to me and I was taken advantage of by the Florence Kentucky location. I was shocked to learn that this was converted into a rental contract. I tried to resolve this matter but have been unsuccessful as the staff has stonewalled and been unreasonable, I asked in January to talk to a store manager and was left on hold for over an hour, I have asked to speak to the District Manager and was told he was not going to call me. A manager told me he called me but was unable to leave a message because my voice mail was not set up that is a lie. For whatever reason the staff at this store does not want me to speak to the District Manager. I want this resolved I have been more than over charged, the lady in the store is unprofessional talks down to you and Alex who says he is the store manager hung up on me today. Can someone with authority please call me to resolve this matter.

furniture account
I have been a satisfied customer since December 2017 until now. In September 2018 a 30 day late was reported on my credit inaccurately and several conversation prior to the date with staff in regards to my account and issue relating to my account. I was told that my due date would be changed and that I could pay on my account, I sent emails to the district manager on August 29th, 30th and September 2018 with no response until October 17, 2018. I replied to an email and sent additional communication emails that was not answered. I filed a complaint and asked that this be escalated and finally received a call back after the 2nd escalation attempt, at that time I explained the issue. My request was to completely pay off my account and have the negative remark removed from my credit. I have been disputing this issue for 5 months now with no resolution. I went into the store 3/5/18 and spoke to the manager who also stated that she have a very difficult time communicating with the district manager due to non responses and she will contact me after speaking to him. I attempted to pay off my account balance in full and was told by the manager that she did not want to take my payment until they cleared my account. Still no response as of yet, but I received a collection call from the store requesting a payment when I tried to pay off my account in full the day prior. This is a constant problem with consistency within the company, this is one of the reasons how the inaccurate reporting happened. I was told that the store manager is out until friday and I was told I would get a call the next day. How can a company continue to make collection calls when I tried to pay my account off in full $430.00. I just want to get rid of this account, pay my balance and remove the derogatory reporting off my account without the headache or harassment calls. This company do not report properly, but will continue to report inaccurate information. This should be against the law. I have all the emails to prove my continuous attempts that were made to resolve this issue dating all the way back to September 2018- February 2019.
Inconsistency is a major problem here within the company.

bedroom set.
I received a bedroom set in September and Bob's delivered the furniture. I am no longer employed and not able to pay for the furniture, I contacted Doris in the Springfield PA, location and let her know my situation. Doris is the manager for acceptance now and she stated it was not a problem she will send the information so there furniture would be picked up that was two weeks ago from this date. I have contacted her several times as well as visited the store three times about this matter. No one has picked up the furniture. I told Doris that I'm unemployed and am basically homeless and yhat I have no where to put the furniture, my move out fate is the 29th of October. No one has contacted me at this time. I do believe I'm getting the runaround because she keeps saying the company who picks up the furniture is not responding to sny of her e-mails.
double payment / poor customer service / leasing nightmare!
Your company has taken two payments in the amount of $211.47 each. Whenever me or my husband has attempted to address it and resolve this matter with someone at the company; each person passing the responsibility to the next person or department. This has been a nightmare! The simplest matter of releasing the merchant authorization hold you have placed on my bank account should be simple enough. I would not advise any one to do business with this company. Meanwhile, my household has $211.47 missing from our operating account and experiencing financial issues as a result of a company holding our money and refusing to do what's necessary to return the funds.

bobs store purchase
I called acceptance now in September 2018 to see when my 90 day option will expire. I was told by the representative my 90 day option will expire the following month by due date of payment. My due date of payment was October 12, 2018. This representative went on to tell me a large figure amount of $1800 Dollars would be due. I told her the figure Amount Given is way off. I told her I will be calling back prior to the due date to get the dollar amount owed. And calling on October 2 of 2018 I called the one 88 number for acceptance now.The representative had bad news for me and told me my 90 day option expired on October 1 of 2018. I explained this wasn't what the local representative told me. I put in a claim to speak to the district manager as well as placed a call to the local Acceptance now in Bridgeport Connecticut. In calling The representative told me another different date which was October 2 but the system is showing a different amount and that not for me to come down to pay today. She will be having her manager called me to fix the problem. I never received a return call from the manager and the district manager I called back and left a message it was not only for today the manager called. He only called because he wanted payment of $200. I spoke to mustaba in lengthHe was very argumentative, condescending, belittling. He told me I should look at my contract and not go by the Words of a representative. I have an obligation to to in force Acceptance now policy. Mustafa Went on to say that my due date was not October 1 but was October 4. I told Mustafa When I called on October 2 I could've made for payment but was told by his representative not to pay. Mustafa said there was nothing he could do and that basically I should know my agreement. I told him I had the money to pay on October 2 but was stopped by his representative who are so misinformed me like he is. All he could do was say I am sorry for the misunderstanding but you have to pay The 1400 instead of 1200 that is due. I told him you guys just scammed me out of $200. I am still waiting for the district manager to contact me.
acceptance now "90 day same as cash" scam
Be very aware of the terms of this financial scam! The sales associates are incredibly misleading when pitching you for approval of these contracts!
The "90 days same as cash" option, already includes a 15% interest hike on the original price of the items.
Say for example, the item you're purchasing is retailing for $1000.00 - you're going to be responsible for paying that amount plus $150 for interest and at least another $100 in taxes and fees - off the bat, for just the "90 day purchase option".
In addition to that purchase price, you are also responsible for the monthly leasing payment regardless of whether or not youve already payed off the "same as cash" purchase price
So at that point, you've already spent $1300 on the item you "purchased", and now you are locked into an 18 month contractual obligation, to pay an additional $200 or more every month.
When all is said and done within the terms of this payment, you will have payed $3600 for the contract payments, in addition to the $1300 or more you spent to purchase the item within the 90 days; that's still not including whatever outrageous monthly fees and taxes they decide to heap onto to your monthly payments.
That's well over $5000 for an item that should've only cost you $1000, at original retail.
I was told that it would be a 15% mark up on the original retail price and that as long as I had payed that amount in full within the 90 days, it would be considered same as cash.
The sales associates did not inform me that I would be locked into the contract and monthly payments regardless of how quickly I payed the "90 day cash price" of the item. They did not specify or inform me that I would be required to pay the $200 monthly fee in addition to that "90 day same as cash" price.
As a matter of fact, they completely brushed over all questions that I had and withheld receipts and important documents regarding the terms of service that I was to be locked into; including my contract and itemized receipt!
I am extremely lucky and blessed, that I contacted them the very next day in an attempt to clarify the terms and aquire the missing documents. Because of this I was able to cancel my order right away, and have only been scammed out of my $60 down payment (which I will be reporting to my bank as well as the better business bureau)
Please protect your income and your future, and avoid working with these people at all costs! There are always other options, and god will always provide you with what you really need!
At the very least, please be aware of what you or a loved one will be entering into through this lending corporation, and others like it.
90 days same as "cash"
My husband and I purchased a living room set from Rooms to Go in Richardson, Texas. One of the options they have offered was 90 Days same as "cash" option through Acceptance Now. We paid 80% off of our purchase before 90 days ran out. When we were ready to make out final payment, we were hit with a balance equivalent to our entire purchase. Every time we were trying to get pay off account over the phone responses were inconclusive and vague. Finally after we paid over $1, 200.00 on top of what the actual cost of this merchandise was - we gave up. Now my husband and I both are hit with a Charge off for $3, 600.00. We didn't even spend that much at the store. To say that this is a prime example of PREDATORY FINANCING is not to say anything at all. I feel taken advantage of in this situation and I think this is not right to treat people this way.
Wow & I thought it only happened to me! Well now I have a different problem with them but you know "I learned my lesson!" Ashley Furniture Rogers, AR is such a waste if time. Salesman Lee lied out his butt GM David should not be allowed to speak to the public he's such a load, Lol even his employees say that. BE CAREFUL of these people they're doing a lot of damage to customers while someone is filling their pockets with cash
This SAME EXACT THING JUST HAPPENED TO ME! This is a horrible business practice. My bed was $668 I paid $540 in the first 90 days leaving me with a balance of $128. I understand after the 90 days there is a ton of fees/charges BUT I kept paying even paying more then the minimum and ever month the balance goes up some how and they never know my balance right away I always have to wait or call back!
Arlington, TX Ashley Home Store AcceptanceNow -- Same thing happened to me yesterday.
I was told 90 days same as cash. Bought a $460 TV stand. Paid $230 towards it. They asked for $380 for payoff. I made a stink and they pulled up some contract with all these extra fees that were not disclosed to me on the contract. So -- I asked to speak to the guy who lied to me and gave me this "contract" and I was told "He hadn't worked there in so long and he couldn't have possibly been the one that I signed the contract with."
Then, they asked me if I wanted to open up a new credit line. I think me and you need to make some calls to the Texas AG's office.
service
I opened an account with acceptance now about a 1 1/2 ago my husband I had separate accounts so we could furnish our new home with new furniture. A year into paying for the furniture my husband was laid off and we could no longer afford the monthly payment . I called and spoke with the acceptance now rep working at wine country furniture in pasco wa stating my concerns I asked that while I was current on my payments I needed to make arrangements to have the furniture returned, She agreed to send someone out to make sure the furniture was in good condition this took several weeks to do I scheduled 2 seperate occasions with them to meet me at my home without a designated or time frame from them this means I had to miss work full days 2 full days of pay and both time no shows they did not even give me a call to let me know they needed to re schedule very frustrating meanwhile they are still billing my account wich was accumulating late fees and reflecting neg on my credit the exact reason I was up front with them about the return I did not want my credit compromised and was told it would not be after several phone calls to the store and another few weeks they sent out a gentleman to inspect the furniture he agreed it was ok to pick up and would be in touch to schedule a pick up ! We moved this furniture into our garage to keep it in condition and to make it east to pick up! this took another 5 months 5 months and they show to get this furniture now we are talking 6 or 7 missed payments on my account waiting for them to pick up this furniture I called I complained I stated how terrible that my credit is being completely ruined, Every person I spoke with was incompetent not one solid answer not one apology just lies. Finally 7 month they closed my account t with acceptance now after furniture was retrieved ! now I am receiving phone calls again stating 1 piece was not takin and IT DEFINATLY WAS
they picked up all of it ! several months has past with no resolving this they have somehow re opened my account charging 2500 onto it for this coffee table they said was not checked off I told yesenia that's her name to have the pick up driver call me I would refresh his memory or I am filling theft charges against him for coming onto my property and taking furniture How is this possible ? I have no account with them Now I am receiving missed payments on my credit report stating I am 3 months behind in payments on furniture they picked up months ago I need help I get nothing but disrespected when talking with this company this has been going on too long I need help. I believe Rent a center is who bought the furniture that I returned now I am being harassed with phone calls daily
Kasey Kazala
district manager
District manager Patrick was very rude. This guy and I made an agreement through text message that he will pick up a table with some broken chair chairs that I just purchased from Bel furniture. I didn't have the furniture 30 days and it came delivered with a broken chair and another one broke not long after. Two chairs are broken so" I asked him if he could come pick it up". I told him I would like to make an agreement to arrange to pay for the king bed and a bunkbed that I purchased from this company. He agreed... I get a knock on my door on Monday 08/27/18 at about 2:19 PM and it's two Rent-A-Center guys to pick up the table which I thought was very odd. But they explained that they were with Bel and here to pick up merchandise. I let the guys in and the guy stated that he was here to pick up all the merchandise. And I stated no just the table. I got a call from a lady from the front office and I told her that I spoke with Patrick and that Patrick and I made agreements that I was going to return the broken table set and I will continue to pay for the beds. She stated to me that Patrick will call me right back. Well, I received a call in 30 minutes from Patrick who was very rude and stated "you need to return my stuff". I stated that was not the agreement. He demanded that I returned his stuff or he will be doing legal paperwork on me. He spoke to me as through I wasn't a customer at all. I would let to let anybody know before dealing with this company. Please be caution and don't give anybody your money that doesn't even appreciate your business or their customers. They're very unprofessional and rude and they don't deserve our money .
90 day load same as cash but it a furniture rental agreement
I purchased this furniture August of 2017 I put a $150.90 down on furniture the cost of the merchandise was $1, 179.95 minus $150.00 leaves $1, 029.95 as a balance. The payment per month was $137.18 then it was raised to $177 for a law that they stated took place. They also charged a $40.00 processing fee why because everything was done through the computer what are you processing besides my information. Here the kicker what was suppose to be a pay as you go loan turned out to be a rental agreement load like rent a center and if you miss paying they want you to return the furniture but they keep your money, now total payments for this would come to $3, 428.51. They have you to use there site for payment but you can't see a payment history balance owed or nothing. When you call there customer service number no one answers and when you call the store and I ask what was my balance it changes. the first time Nyla stated they added $500 that would be $1, 529.95 then when I called again Nyla stated $300 hundred dollars to pay it off and it would close your account that was 3 months ago I called two weeks ago and now it is $900 dollars. I have place a complaint with the BBB and now I see that it has been resolved but by who not me because I'm still not happy. No answers no payment.
I strongly suggest that no one ever purchase anything from value city furniture or use Acceptance Now because they are a company that robs there customers without guild and they do not answer there phones. The contracts are not what they tell you in the beginning its only afterward that you learn they have tricked you. Companies like these should be shut down period. People work to hard for there money. I'm going to twitter next making a video and will contact BBB and Consumer Protection Agency anyone else having issues with Acceptance Now should do the same and file complaints so they can be shut down. Pissed consumer
unethical behaviour
I went into the Ashleys furniture location in Jacksonville and financed furniture through the AcceptanceNOW program as a way of building credit without reopening my store card since this program involved no credit check. I worked with a representative by the name of Theresa who quoted prices and went over documentation and I made my first payment 2 weeks early. I was told that the furniture account needed to be open for 3 months before I paid the payoff amount to "benefit" my credit. So about 2and half months in the agreement, I decided to pay off the loan after reviewing the online account and noticing that my payment was not even making a dent in the principal payment. Theresa answered the phone and asked me why I wanted to make a payment early and mess up her numbers which were none of my business. she then proceeded to tell that she could not accept payment early because computers were down and to call back later, I called back and was told to just call in 2 weeks to make the payment closer to the date the loan kicks into the after 90-day contract. I advised Theresa that I couldn't do that because I had the money to pay it off now. I told her I would be processing the astronomical payment from two cards which she then told her system wouldn't allow me to do that and that I would have to come in the store. She then rattled along about my account being upgraded and I could now purchase more stuff with my higher limit after I advised her multiple I was interested she said it was a deal going on and if I made it by 4 that evening i would get good deals on furniture I repeated for the 4th time that i wasn't interested and I was at work and couldn't make it before 4. She then said just come in 2 weeks and they may figure out how to charge 1 card. I called the corporate number immediately after the call and explained my issue and they informed that a manager would call me within 48 hours and not even 30 mins after that Theresa the rep called me back and told e she could not process two different forms to payout set. I've been waiting for over 2 weeks now and no manager has called about my experience.
