Buyer beware! Since my account establishment in 2019 of [Commenity Capital Bank] Big Lots credit card, I enrolled in Account Assure thinking if ever needed, I'd have the protection in place. Well, upon encountering job loss in June 2023, I filed a claim in August 2023. and received only one written correspondence acknowledging my claim. It entailed a Benefit Request Number and I followed all instructions to move forward with the claim. In doing so, never received any follow-up and made several calls only to be told paperwork was coming in the mail. The alleged documents were mailed from New Jersey and that's the state I also live in. Never arrived. Call the [protected] between 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern time, M - F, and only get same two (2) representatives [Koren and Michele] who state they are Benefit Analysts but they can see notes (only) but cannot see status of my claim. It went as far as my being told their is not a Supervisor on site but when they intermittently do come in, I'd receive a call back since they are the only one's who can see status of the claim. I've called and called and no luck getting anyone! It's a joke and no one seems to care. Please refrain from enrollment into abyss!
Desired outcome: I want my account to be paid in full as that's what the protection on their website vouches to do! All that premium I've paid for 4 years. They need to live up to what they claim this service is in business for!
