when I called in the representative stated since my former employer didn't fill out the form I needed more

Every month I have been charged 40-50 dollars on my hsn credit card-even after repeatedly calling to complain.
I want the credit added back to the account for the last year.
Please see attached screenshot of hsn credit card bill. I have documentation of a year of charges.
No one has ever allowed me to cancel this- as I never even signed up for it. I want a refund and a documented complaint that I have been charged every month for absolutely nothing and that account assure is a scam

avenue credit card
I was just informed about charges that are being charged to my card with out my permission . I never signed up or gave anyone permission to charge fees to my avenue card i wondered why my balance never went down very much and called the company they explained to me about the charges that a third party company named account assure was adding to my card. I just became aware that I have been being charged fees on my Victoria secret credit card which has caused me to have an over limit balance for the past 5-7 months now... I was unaware of these charges and was told to contact the account assure to help resolve these issues that is hendering me from paying off my credit card. gift card for enrollment
I was told I would get a $20 gift card for the store credit cards I have. I never received any for both and its been 2 months since opening both. I would really like my gift cards I was promised or at least a $20 credit on my accounts. I pay my bills on time and there is never an outrageous balance. I've waited 8 to 12 weeks for these things and I opened a third credit card with another store and have account assure with them too. I'm very wary of even sending my disclosure statement in now because I've never received what I was promised.
disability payments to my blair account
I became totally disable approx a year ago & noticed on my Blair monthly statements tha I've been billed for account assure since 2013. However, I cancelled the coverage twice in 2013 & 2014, account assure has been charging my Blair Account every month. They never cancelled my coverage so when I became totally disabled in 2016, I called them with my information & they promised to open a claim in Jan 2015. But they never did, despite numerous telephone calls to them...also they keep billing me for coverage. I've been paying the bill myself which is a hardship. I contacted Blair credit services & they told me to contact Account Assue directly which I did again today & being placed on hold over 45 minutes without speaking to a person. I finally hung up in frustration without resolution. I'll try calling them again & following up with a letter to them. I want them to refund me all the premiums they charged me & to pay my bill retroactive to my disability date & make my account current. So frustrating as I'm a senior & don't know what else to do to get this company to pay.
You may try filing a complaint with Consumers Financial Protection Bureau. Or if you have local news channels with some sort of Consumers Advocates that get down to the matter of things. That may be helpful. I too am basically in same situation. Wish You luck!

I have 5 accounts with Account Assure and on each account I was sent a "Disclosure Statement" and mailed back the "Disclosure Acknowledgement". I was told I would receive a $20.00 gift card in the mail within four(4) to six(6) weeks, the last one that I mailed in I have received the gift card, how ever the others I have not.
I am not really complaining I just want to know if "Account Assure" only allows one card for all accounts?

I recently lost my job, so I called Account Assure to file a claim. I was on the phone for over 30 minutes speaking with a representative for him to inform me that he couldn't find my information. At the end of the conversation, he offered to transfer me to cancel my account. I explained to him that I did not want to cancel the account, I wanted to file a claim. He then asked a million questions pretending as if he was submitting a claim. How can you submit a claim if you can't find my info. The next day, I called back to make sure and the same thing occurred. I spent 30 minutes with another rep. just for him to tell me the same thing. This time, I did cancel.
Same thing, I called to start a claim and they said I was never their customer. I had been paying for this protection for 2 years via Herbergers credit card/Comenity Bank. I called Comenity, they said that Account Assure told them that I had cancelled my account with them last week. ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE, they just don't want to process a claim.

You guys are trippin'. I was paying the extra couple bucks a month, not even that much, lost my job, reported it to account assure, not only did they make an immediate payment to my cards (I have 5 store cards that are protected by account assure), but they ended up paying the entire balance on all 5 cards. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't want protection. It's like buying a new flat screen and not getting an extended warranty.

I have filed for insurance from this company I lost my job and called them and now they still have haven't sent me any paper work or nothing. I don't no wt to do. I have a Victoria secret credit card and I enrolled to account assure 2 years ago when I got the VS credit card. I called last year to cancel this program but they kept charging my credit card.I lost my Job 3 months ago and I called them to get my benefits but they don't want to do it every time I send them the request form, they say it's incomplete. Basically they stole my money. And call them again to cancel but they keep charging me. I don't know how to stop this from happening.

I wish I had looked into this company before getting it. I got it over a month ago and I called to cancel it today. I will also call back tomorrow to see if my request went through. What you need to do is keep bugging them and do NOT stop calling them. As long as you keep contacting them you are not giving up and do not give them the satisfaction. Shame on the companies that are involved with them, I have no doubt that they are receiving a cut from it.

I have cancelled Account Assure THREE times and they continue to charge my credit card monthly. First, I never ordered it. Secondly, each time I call I am promised this has been discontinued and each month it has not. New York and Company declines all responsibility even though it is their credit card. Paying it off this week and closing this account. They are just as fraudulent as Account Assure.

I paid for this insurance for over 1 year and then got laid off my job. When I called to activate the insurance they did nothing but lie to me and then allowed my account to go 4 months past due while they try to fight not to pay my claim. I was told over and over again that it would be paid but it was delayed for review. Do not use this company. It is fraudulent and just takes your money. All of the Comenity Banks offer Account Assure and do not use them.

DO NOT USE ACCOUNT ASSURE, THEY ARE NOTHING BUT A BIG RIPOFF! They will take your money, as they did with me for years, and when you put in a claim to use your benefit, they act like you are doing something wrong, and will never resolve any issues! Do not let them fool you, they know exactly what they are doing, and what they are doing is taking your money and never pay out the benefit. I REPEAT DO NOT USE ACCOUNT ASSURE!

I was approved for a Victorias Secret Angel Credit Card. I called to activate and a male representative for Account Assure deceived me and somehow with a few confusing, lengthy and very fast questions I was enrolled into this program. I asked does it cost and is it required ? I said NO and he completed speaking his clearly written down responce and hung up. I called back and spoke to two different representatives that assured me I was not enrolled. All was fine a few months until I received a letter from them asking for my signature to complete enrollment! I ignored and on 6/10/13 I saw two charges from Account Assure! I called immediately and the lady who said she would take care of this unauthorized SCAM for me was Michelle.
Back in June/July 2013 I was contacting customer service of my Bob-Ton credit card and was ultimately transferred to someone form Account Assure. They asked me if I would be interested in this service and would receive gift cards for my review. I told them I would look at it when I received the information. When I received the information I tossed it in the trash since I had no interest. As my husband was reviewing our most recent statement (June 2014) he noticed this charge and audited our statements and discovered that we had been billed all the way back to August 2013. We contacted my credit card company who was able to cancel the June charge but said we had to contact the company on Monday. I'm so upset and ready to cancel my credit card. Is there anyone who has successfully received a refund/credit for these charges.

After opening a hsn credit account i recieved a offer for a 30 day trial from account assure i contacted the company and advised i did not with to have the service because i have the same type of service on another credit card which will cover this account as well. It was explained in detail how they can assist an help if problems arise in the future and i explained the service is not needed i already have the service and this card will be covered thank you but no thanks. I was going over the statements for hsn card and notice that even after my call i have been billed for the past 3 months, 01/07/2012, account assure [protected] $3.17, 02/05/2012 account assure [protected] $4.18, 03/07/201 account assure [protected] $5.79... I contacted the company advised the representative i cancelled the service when i got the materials in the mail. She advised she saw no activity no notes on the account but she will be cancelling as of today, i questioned why should i be liable for charges for three months when i called to cancel the service before billing began and someone neglected to note records the rep. Advised she saw no activity prior to the call being made today but will offer a 1 time cred for 1 month billing.. Why should i believe that this call won't be likethe 1st call how can i have confidence in a company that doesn't do as the customer asks 'cancel when requesting cancel'.. I am being charged for account Assure on 2 credit cards.. One with HSN and the other card is Victoria's Secret. I've tried cancelling since it is supposed to cover ALL credit cards should you lose your job or become disabled.. They still continue to charge me on both accounts and even though I called them back being reassured by the customer rep. that they would stop the charges on the HSN card I am still being charged.. I NEVER signed up for it on the phone nor the card applications.. Can't we all just submit claims to the BBB?

Apparently when I signed up for my Avenue Credit Card, the sales person (who is on a commission basis for this service) signed me up for a "protection" service called Account Assure. This protection is supposed to pay off my account in the event of loss of employment. I receive my Avenue Credit Card statements online and usually just make the minimum payment. The Account Assure fee does not show up anywhere on the main page or payment page.
When I lost my job I obviously did not know I had this service or I would have used it to cover my Avenue balance. It wasn't until over after a year of unemployment that I finally couldn't even manage the minimum payments anymore that I found out I had Account Assure and had been paying for it for years. Now that I found out and am asking for coverage, they are saying that the claim was filed too late. I have proof of the date of my unemployment and as I was covered at the time of becoming unemployed (which I can prove, and did send proof of to both Account Assure and Avenue), they should honor my agreement and balance as of that date. I never received any information or terms from them until after they canceled my service and denied my claim.
Also, these agreements should be signed up for completely separately from signing up for your credit card on site, instead of as a slight extra that a commission based salesperson can add without your knowledge.
They should provide either a refund for the amount paid to Account Assure as I obviously did not even know I had it (or I would have used it when I became unemployed) or settlement of my Avenue account.
Redcats, Avenue and World Financial Network National Bank are also responsible as they allow this to happen to their clients.

I checked my statement for marathon and found this same protection service charging me 25-30 dollars a month...I do remember signing up for it but thought it was just a service automatically protecting my interests. It was easy enough to get it discontinued, BUT please check all your cards for it. I know I am.
I was actually out of work for 5 months last year and had Account Assure on my Loft Card. You have to be off work for at least 3 months for the program to take effect (there is a time limit for having the service as well, meaning, you can't take the service today and apply for benefits tomorrow). So, my last day of work was 2/11/2012; at that time my balance was about $1000.00. I continued to make my minimum payments for the 3-month waiting period, which by this time brought my balance somewhere around $800.00; Account Assure paid the entire amount leaving me with a zero balance. I'm sorry you had such a horrible experience.
i had a credit card w hsn with account assure so that in case i lost my job, my balance would be paid off. I lost my job in august. you are not allowed to file a complaint for 2 mos.in the meantime, interest chrgs are accured and they continue to bill you for their insurance. i followed the instructions given to me by their rep except for the employer's statement as i dont have anyway of obtaining that because i am not allowed in the building because of my termination. i was assured by the representative that that would be no problem as long i completed the form & sent in my unemployment information which i did..in the meantime..yep insurance & interest is still being accrued. now they are saying they need my hours worked (which was included in the unemployment documentation sent) and have told me that they will only pay the balance on the account from when i was terminated even though insurance charges and interest have continually been charged. asked for a supervisor..was put on hold for over 10 minutes & told a supervisor will call me back..when i insisted on a supervisor, was placed back on hold and after 32 minutes reached a superviosr who insists i get the employer section filled out. There is no way around that and then was hung up on when I insisted I wanted my benefits. i will be reporting this agency to my attorney general & consumer affairs
I hIave account assure for my Peebles credit card. In November account assure sent me an email and said if I spent $40 they would give me a $20 credit. It wa supposed to be posted on my December statement. It was not on my statement and I have called them 3 times and keep getting the run around. Today I talked to a supervisor and he said I never filled out the paperwork and sent it back in to get a gift card. It was not supposed to be a gift card. He is supposed to call me back this afternoon but Idoubt that he will. I will keep calling them until I get my $20 and then I will cancel. I will never use account assure again .
I also had Account Assure for my Lane Bryant account. I became unemployed when my company closed.They did pay, but they don't pay your balance like they let you think, they go back to the date I became unemployed and paid the amount due at that time. Because they did not pay the balance when I requested the help they kept racking up the late fees and tons of other fees. I paid the card off and cancelled my account. Lane Bryant's clothes are cheaply made and overpriced anyways. I will never use Account assure again and If I am contemplating getting another merchant card and they offer account assure I will not get that card.
IVE WORKED THERE THE ONLY THING THE ASSOCIATE COULD HAVE DONE WAS OPEN THE ACCOUNT FOR U ANYTHING EXTRA NEEDS TO BE REQUESTED.
