I placed an online order for brake pads. (not a lot of $) to the elm street store, the order confirned tha the order would be ready to pickup in 30 mins. I went tothe store and it is closed on sunday. I then went to your merrill road store and asked them to fill the oprder. The manager was very terse and said that I would have to purhcase the items at full price or go home and cancell the order and re-order? Great customeer service. I then called the cust9mer service line and the man that I spoke with there was not at all sympathic and offered no apolpgy. He did cancel the order and re-sumbitted it to your north st store. Not the customer service that I expected and will not use advanced aunto again!
battery warranty
Today I returned to the store where I purchased a battery about a month ago. The "new" battery will no longer hold a charge over night. After driving to the store the associate tested the battery after it had returned to a charged state. I explained that I needed the battery replaced as it has gone dead the last 3 nights. He tested the battery and informed me it was charged and there was nothing he could do. We then proceeded to another associate, a young lady, that began telling me that the problem was with my vehicle and not the battery.
I have been a mechanic for most of my 62 years. I had replaced the alternator when the issue surfaced thinking that the regulator may have gone bad, but this did nothing to remedy the situation. I have checked for any other problem, including lights being left on and shorts, but there is nothing that I can find that would drain the battery this quickly. During the day, while driving the vehicle, it will charge and start the vehicle. But parked overnight, the battery goes dead. The problem is obviously a battery problem.
I was shocked by the lack of support and assistance given by this store. I have bought batteries from your competitors in the past and chose Advance Auto Parts as it is close to me and the price was competitive. I am very upset with the lack of concern for my issue and the way the situation was handled.
The purchase date was February 20, 2019. The battery is not even a month old.
If this is the kind of service and treatment I can expect in the future, I have no desire to conduct any more business with this company.
I see two resolutions to this problem. The first is to replace the battery. This is the most logical and simplest solution. Second would be a full refund of the purchase price as I now am faced with purchasing another battery if this one will not be adjusted.

I'd like to start by saying that I appreciate the opportunity of working at Advance. I love that I have the opportunity to help people solve there problem with there car needs and plus I get to learn a lot, it's exciting to learn different things about cars. I love my job.
Having said that, I'd like to address some issues that have occurred to me personally and some of those around me. The reason I'm writing this instead of calling you, I can explain it better in writing. I know that every new job has challenges and situation and employers must get used to, and you to them. That is to be expected.
The environment at Advance has become extremely toxic due to some managers. Specifically, I am referring to my supervisor Tony. I have personally witnessed him, every time I work with him (not sometimes every time), berating the manager Ashley, especially to new people, gathering everyone around him in front of the customers, loudly as to make sure everybody can hear. He said: She can't do this she can't do that, and if, he was manager it would be done right. He would tell them he is going to quit this a bad place work. Tony says that Ashley is running the store in the hole and she is incompatible of running the store the way it should be run. Tony has stated repeatedly that he wants to be manager, so that you know from the start where he stands and he encourages you to join him in the quest to form an allures with his in reaction to this most of the new employee join in feeling that needs to because he is one of the bosses or they may become his target like me. I told Tony that I did think it was right because he is Ashley, assistant and they are suppose to have each other back (I have never seen an assistant manager bash their manager so openly.
so know I'm on his target list.I didn't know why almost all the new employees were so hostile to me and they did even know me so I would ask them why are so mad at me. One day I was carrying a battier to ring up one the employee(Yell) he had just started his shift, he steps in front of me as I was trying to ring the custom up I all most drop the battier we where almost nose to nose the customer got up and I was like what is wrong, I am using the register.I have this happen to much to me daily. Someday I'm on the register I have a sale goal. Angelo ask one of the new guys why are you blocking me from the register and said, Tony
had instructed other employees block me from performing my duties at the register. Tony would tell me to do tasks that no other employees want to do instead of having all employees perform their share, such as doing the carts or cleaning even though we have costume to the door he will tell me the register not open and when the or guys go to the register it is open or he will tell me the money came up short on my register, I said ok, lets pull the camera because 3 people been on that register since I been here and I always lay the money out so the cameras can see it, his response to that he, is a was not talking about me But he did say my drew was short I don't have a register to y self
Tony has been sending me on runs as I'm ringing up costume even throw I was not the driver that day and before the people walk out, Tony would
interrupts the transaction and tell the customer that they do have the wrong part, cancels out that transaction and replaces the part with an identical parts and rings up the sale under his name. This has been done many time
If a person does not participate in the beating of Ashley then he attacks that person in various ways
I over her (Ashley) tell Machelle that she didn't know why they would send somebody who didn't know anything and she would have to train like me so that pretty much sat the tone for the rest to follow, so the next week they gave me hell, yelling at me talking down to me in front of customer's some customer's spoke up one was Mr. Brown from my Church he was very upset they were acting in front of his, I felt like I could when her over by working hard and showing her, I could be valued part of the team. I love my job.BUT don't know how to deal with Tony he makes the workplace Toxic.I feel I need to go to a different store.If you see fit.

I stopped at the Advance Auto Parts store In Millville nj because I knew my car battery was going to quit working soon .When I went in to purchase the battery and to see if hey would install it the manager said they had the battery but she would not have anybody to install it because she didn't have enough staff. My car battery did in fact die . I then asked if I could use the tools to install it and she said only the staff there could use the tools . So basically they could care less if someone was stranded . I will never go there again and I will spread the word of how inconsiderate these people are here . Thank God for triple AAA.

I was in store 2690 at 885 E market st harrisonburg, va at about 5:30pm 11/12/18. The cashier named charity that was helping me with my headlight bulb purchase was a great worker, she was kind and respectful and nice enough to help me find the right bulb that i needed for my car and she help me to see which light it was. While she was in the middle of the transaction the other employee by the named chasity was very rude and disrespectful to the cashier charity, she told Charity that she needs to get customers phone numbers all the time. Well i went out to try to put my headlight in and i needed guide lines to help me out. I ask chasity if she could come outside and look at it and help guide me through it, she told me she wasnt allowed to help me, so i went back outside in the pouring rain and a nice customer helped me get it in, so out of appreciation i went and bought him everything he needed, in the middle of me coming back into the store i over heard chasity going off on charity about customers phone numbers and that she needs to ask customers for their number and not proceed on with the transaction until they give their number, i thought that was highly disrespectful and considering she couldnt help me, i had apologize to charity, cause i thought i had gotten her in trouble, she looked terriblely upset. I think the company needs to stop fussing at good hard workers or stop asking US customers for our personal information.

A Battery was purchased for my 2013 LandRover Range Rover on 05/2016 on 11/06/18 the battery was dead and left me stranded in another town a woman by myself needing help my husband was at work which was an hour away! Finally received help and did not stop for anything until I was home fearing it would not start again. Still having trouble with the battery starting the next day my husband and I took the battery to Advance Auto parts ( the company where the battery was purchased) On 11/07/18 in moultrie ga was told battery needed to be charged so the clerk charged the battery for an hour and he told us it was reading as a good battery and if it did again to come back and they would see what they could do! If it was a good battery then why is it dying and needing to be charged I shouldn't have to charge my battery every night to drive the next day unacceptable that's what warranty is for Right?!

I sent my son for a part he came back with the wrong part I sent him back to return item he was told no returns that he would have to return the next day and talk to manager .i went myself today and explained to Juan the manager that it was the wrong part so he looks it up and tells me the computer says it's the right part! And would not return item.i can't understand that the cashier made a mistake and I'm out 30.00 until this resolved I will not sped another penny in any advanced auto part store

Lincoln Park MI Advance Auto Parts. A worker named Niki sold me a used part (a week ago). When I noticed it I turned around and went back up there. She told me it's not her problem and it is my responsibility to check and make sure it is nee not used. I asked her what corporate would say to that part she replied "they would be mad but I dont care". Ive included pictures of the part.She was VERY disrespectful to me. Now she is telling all the employees not to lower any cost on parts for my company only. Today 10/24/18 my sister in law called up there to see if her water pump was still under warranty on my account (it was purchased under my account) Niki told her she would not look anything up for my company. Niki gets in customers faces yelling at them and dore whatever she wants because her sister Sunday runs that store. I'm to the point of not being a customer anymore. I've called to make a complaint and never got a call back. I hope someone will fo something about this because this is out of control. I do not understand why family is allowed to work together. I cant go to Sunday because I did before and she told me to watch it because that's her sister. That's how I found out they are family.

We (Brak-Hard Concrete) have had an account with this company for over 30 years. Service at store here in Dodge City is fine. Problem is that we cannot get a paper statement mailed to us. The store has tried to be in contact with them. We have called several times to their telephone number, left messages with a promise stated tht they will call but no call. We have faxed to their last known number, still nothing..
Frankly, I am of the opinion that they have decided to have no verbal contact with their clients or their employees at their stores. This is a heads up to all of what we are experiencing.

Went in to purchase a replacement turn signal lamp for my car.
Looked up the part found it on the shelf. Took it to the counter to buy, and was told that they could not sell it to me because the computer was down.
The lamp cost $8.56 I had cash even offered to calculate the tax and the change for them.
But nope they said they couldn't sell it to me.
Guess that shows how bad customer service really is now a days.
Had to drive about 15miles to an o rallies to purchase the lamps so my wife wouldn't get a ticket for driving a car with a burnt out turn lamp.
My question is why do people go to work if they don't want to work.

I had a confrontation with a a so-called general manager he says of 28 years is named Jerry at your store location in Clermont which their phone number is [protected] it's off of Highway 27
Jerry is very non customer service he has an attitude the moment he picks up the phone
I'm considered a happy-go-lucky friendly type of person, but Jerry is miserable he sounds awful he should never be on the phone for first off or even around customers he's terrible and he discourages people from even coming there like for instance I called in today to find out if you guys had a part and he put me on hold approximately 4 times to talk to and then another employee about another customer and told me if I didn't want to hold then I don't need to all well I can just hang up it doesn't really matter to him. I asked can you please look up our accounts to see if we had bought this part before and I said we have several different phone numbers he goes well this is going to take a long time so you're just going to have to stay on hold while I help all these other customers but I'm a customer to and then after I waited for all the other customers to leave he said other customers came in while I was talking to him so he has to put me on hold as well I've been on the hold for almost 30 minutes total but that isn't even the worst of it the worst of it is how he talks to customers this this cannot be his first complaint there's no way
If you don't do something about him around customers you're going to lose customers at that location he says he has 28 years in the business it might be time for him to retire cuz he is not good at this at all he's terrible he gives off a terrible Vibe for Advanced Auto and you guys are our favorite place to shop but with his attitude I much rather travel 15 miles away to a different one A different location just to not go to that location because of him that's pretty sad
He's the same way over the phone as he is in person because we have went there in person and he was very snippety with us as well he cuts us off when were speaking and talks to us as if we know nothing about anything and if we're bothering him as if we're bothering him he definitely creates hostile environment where it makes you want to leave your just shocked at his his attitude it's just crazy you've got to look at the cameras of how he talks to people I really feel sorry for the co-workers that have to work around him as well. You do have an employee there that's named Marcos he's wonderful he goes out of his way he goes above and beyond for customers and he does it pleasantly that's the type of customer service you need that's the type of leadership you need if you keep Jerry as a lead you're going to fail he says that he's a general manager of that store so he's the big boss and he's not going anywhere I'm letting you know you will fail with him in charge you will lose many customers that's a fact and I'm not one to drive miles away but I will to avoid him

On 10/9/2018 at the Advance Auto Parts store in Athens Ohio I was asked when I came in if I needed help. I did not but had several things to gather up from the shelves and I knew where to find them. When I got to the counter with my purchases no one would pay me any attention or acknowledge my presence or even give me a "I'll be right there". I waited till my frustration peaked and I left in anger. This was the second time at the same store that I could not get someone to TAKE MY MONEY! I will not return for anything, ever.

I Shante Gause purchase this part almost a year not even ago, it also has a 5yr. warranty as well. (Its a expensive part not cheap). I was so disappointed and very trouble when I asked for a refund or a reorder on the part since everytime when I service my car it shows up that my ( catalytic converter) needs to replace and result of why my engine light was on. its been brought t my attention by the employees . They don't get their sales when I purchase online.. I went to return 2 oil filters that I got for my Honda Goldwings the computer somehow order 2 ford oil filters...well without the receipt I was told I couldn't return them ….Chris was the employee that pulled them off the shelf … so I would Like to know how to return them ? the additude of the people at this store has me at the point I will take my business to Auto Zone its not much but I have been a true Advance customer for years But I guess unless you can explain to your employees that it your idea to save me money for ordering online ……..I guess Auto Zone has a new customer
store hours
Store is to close at 9PM not 845PM. When there to get parts for my car and the doors where locked. All the lights on but nobody there. This is why I will shop AUTOZONE from here on out get your parts. Why would the store hours be till 9 and everyone leaves? How do you guys make money if the store is closed before the time. I own my own business I don't mow half of the yard. And if I left 15mins at my full time job guess what I would get fired. Someone needs to deal with this store cause I'm not the first person that said something about them being closed before 9PM

I called at first and was very specific about what I needed and they had to ask me twice to repeat what I wanted and left me on hold for 12 minutes for something that was a 15 second walk from the counter. Then I went into the store myself and went to check out and they didn't ask me about the rewards program which I could have gotten 2 points for.
First off, the Speedperks reward program doesn’t work off points. When you spend $30 to $99 you get emailed a coupon for $5 off you next purchase over $20, spend over $100 and you get a coupon to use on your next purchase over $50. I do agree they should have mentioned it to you to either sign you up or to make sure that the purchase amount would be applied to the program.
I can attest that it is hard to hear/understand people on the phone at times so being asked to repeat something is just to make sure that they are getting the correct information from you. I don’t know how you know how far a walk it is to where the part is located but sometimes it can be a challenge to find something if it has been mis stocked or if it is an item that just came in and has not been stocked to a shelf yet. Also, some items may have a primary and back stock location.
You can always call 1-877-ADVANCE and talk to a customer care representative and explain to them the circumstance and ask that they award you any coupons you would have received for you purchase. They are very good about taking care of you. Just have your receipt with you, they will need info off it.

I filled out a job application for Advance auto in 610 N. Cedar st.mason, Michigan on august 3rd to come in for a interview then I had a second interview a next later on the 8th. On the 3rd then had me file out the I9 form. So i waited. The manger Micheal said we will call you to me. I never heard a call back So I drive up to advance auto in mason and asked Micheal why I haven't heard nothing yet. Micheal told me the company is on a hiring freeze. I have been waiting for a month to get in and work I am in the system. . I need this job to support my wife and daughter.
