Brian Hedlund WHY the Hell did Advance do away with the pick up in store & pay when you pick it up option(CASH) ? Ridiculous some idiot in finance must've thought this was a good idea . NOT EVERYONE wants to use a credit card for every transaction. Not everyone wants or even has credit cards. **** If something is in stock why the [censored] should I need or have to pay for it before I pick it up . Now I can't even use my rewards/loyalty discount unless I use a card & prepay for in stock items I see online . So basically Advance is forcing me to use a GOD damned credit card or PayPal to get my discount . How BOGUS. I'll be getting most of my items from AutoZone. Pisses me off . 😡😠🤬

I went to the advanced auto parts store on fair ave in San Antonio Texas. I purchased a light bulb for my car. The person that cashed me out told me if the lights didn't work or weren't the good fit that I will be able to come back and get a refund. I went back. He completely changed his story and didn't give me a refund. This was the worst experience EVER!

I purchased this part Saturday 6/8/19 @ 9:51 pm. My mechanic put the part on Sunday and it was not the part that I actually needed. Soon as I got off of work Monday I went in to return the part, I was told only a manger can do this type of transaction and is only available 8-5. I called and talked to the store manager Daniel and he advised me bc this part is electrical it can be returned. I advised there is No explanation of guidelines on the receipt so how would I know this information. He advised the have a sign in the store, which the agent Monday showed me after moving a display so I could see the sign, this agent was the one who sold me the part and DID Not inform me of Any particular policy for this type of part. The manager Daniel today said there is nothing he can do and gave me the 877ADVANCE #. After calling 2 times (10:45 am & 11:02 am cst) and waiting on hold, each time at 17 minutes of holding the system said all callers are busy and to call back after 6pm.
At this point I feel I am getting the run around, I was not informed of policies until after the fact.
I will contact the BBB if I don't get my refund back for this part of $60.61. This could have been avoided if at the time of purchase I was informed and also if the information was printed on the receipt.

My son a minor with a first car and a cashed paycheck in wallet wanted to go to an auto parts store this pass weekend. We were at a car/truck meet when we all decided to go to the budd lake/mt. Olive location. I will be fully upfront with you... I really was uncomfortable going because I was hanging out with my ex who is my friend and dating a worker there. I went in only because my son being a minor.
My son and I were looking first at air fresheners when cassandra... My ex's gf starts saying [censored]... [censored] while doing the trash... Of course.. I'm gonna look over because I was extremely surprised about her saying it... My friends from meet were in the store and well. My son went over to the light bar section when cassandra said to me

I was shocked because she isn't a manager nor was we doing anything wrong!
She then rudly had the never to say to us only... The store is closed now... It was 851pm!
I left because my son was getting upset...
When we got out to the car he was in tears..
Mom... This isn't the first time she was rude... He told me about the time he went to get a timing belt part for his car with his friends 17 & 18... He said... First mom her body odor was really bad and she treated us like [censored]... And ummm... We heard her get into an argument with her boss who is blk and looked him in the face seriously... You stupid [censored] you weren't to do that.
My son hates confrontation and plus he still loves my ex... He didn't want to get cassandra trouble.
You really need to have a look into this store and how cassandra handles people's accounts because too much is being sad by family on how she steals... Lies and can get away with everything because her boss is beneath her! Oh my.
Ex or not... We were still trying to paying customers..
Ended up we went to auto zone where we were helped in a extremely professional environment and they came out to my son's car... Explain wires to him because the guy used to be mechanic!
Thank you for handling this matter... And I feel so sorry for the manager allowing her to behave like this... My son's father used to work for you. Then he retired.. Corporate used to do surprised visits... Use the cameras... Handle things quickly... What happened?
I would like to make a complaint again the store employes
Today 06/07/2019 approximate time 7pm location 904 East Rio Grande Victoria, TX 77901 I have been outside working on a project all day so not dressed up you could say. Noticed I needed a couple of screws so decided to walk across the street to this stores location. See if I could find what I needed. Maybe fine something more to add on to my project. I figured get out the heat for a few look around buy a few things. Unfortunately the staffs attitude and actions led me to leave without purchasing anything, but the accusations which where insulting and where proven to be false are my main compaint. Not only was I followed around the store when i stepped out the store the asked if i had screws in my pocket and I showed them my lighhter was the only i had in my pocket and walked down the road to O'Reilly auto parts and made my purchase

The date is 6/7/2019. The incident occurred around 145 pm . As my husband and I were in the store, we over heard the employee on her phone making racial slurs and threats. She never once asked if we needed help or tried to help us. The gentleman working in the store told her to watch her language and she was very rude to him while continuing her phone conversation. I have been coming to advance for over 20 years. This is not acceptable behavior. I have made several attempts to contact the customer service number, however no one ever answered. If Advance is going to allow their employees to use racial slurs and profanity while on the job then this is a bad reflection of Advance Auto Parts. This occurred at 2406 Osborne Rd, St. Mary's, Ga.

radiator
I brought a brand new radiator from the store had it installed, a month or two later the car started driving funny, it was transmission fluid in the radiator so I had to have it flushed out change my thermostat, a mouth later same thing happens so I'm told that the radiator was leaking transmission fluid internal, which now destroy my engine and the store is telling me there nothing they can do fo me.
That's because the problem is with your transmission oil cooler leaking fluid into the radiator. Your radiator was fine until that point. Of course they aren't going to replace a part you didn't buy.

Went to your Manchester G.A store few weeks ago to replace my starter on my 1995 F150 it lasted few weeks of intermittent driving then tore up. Went back to store they tried to say I installed wrong, but finally have me .another. It lasted few days then tore up . Called store Bobby said not their problem, it was my truck. Took it to mechanic found out they store been giving me wrong starter. Cost me another $ 250 to track that down. Went back to store Bobby said not their problem no refund. It was his stupid worker that have me wrong part, when he looked it up i told him it was a manual trans. As he put in automatic. It makes a difference ! Im a 52 yr old Vet . That lived in3 states, always gotten parts from Advance auto. I'm past two yrs lived near Manchester .G.A., only Storey parts near me, for 40 miles otherwise. It's been the worst service and most ignorant, stupid workers I've ever seen by far. All have i don't give a [censored] attitude. All need to be fired especially the manager Bobby #1 on list.

I had a very strange day with Advance Auto. Not sure if it was worker related or software system error. I'm in Durham, NC went to store #4660 to purchase 4 spark plugs that were listed in stock on-line. At the store the counter person looked and they showed 0 in stock, he went to double check with no luck . Back at the counter he looked at the other stores and he pointed out store #4117 showed 18 in stock so he sent me there since they had so many. At the store the counter lady went to the back and in a few minutes she said she couldn't find the plugs, she called another person to come give her a hand and in another few minutes they both came to the counter looked at the computer, then said WE DON'T HAVE ANY! How does a system be so wrong. Software issue or people issue ?
After this she looked back at the computer to see what other store had the NGK 6263 in stock. The Morrisville store show 4 in stock. At his point I had enough, if a store showing 18 in stock and did not have one in the store I was not driving across town again for the same results. I stopped by Oreilly they showed 4 in stock, the counter person walked to the back brought back 4 plugs and my day was saved...

Had a battery tested to determine if altenator, or battery. Older employee with red eyes and slurred speech to Rob, to just sell me a [censored]ing battery.
I was shocked and said that will not fix the issue and questioned his disrespect. He attempted to come from behind the counter in a aggressive manner as to intimidate me.
A female told me to leave the store. Rob was helpful, but also shocked in the behavior. I was told he consistantly gets complaints.
I will be contacting the BBB.

I recently went into a store in worth, il and the people are absolutely horrible there. The girl, name might be victoria or vanessa, was busy chatting and swearing with another worker while the man in grayish colored shirt (maybe a manager?) was helping another customer. I walked out and took my business across the street to auto zone where professionalism was way better than the advance parts store I went in. I will never recommend this store or ever step foot back in it and will be suggesting my husband remove his business account from this location as well. Shame on you for not being professional adults in a retail setting.

Never again would I set foot in that place. The employees there are very rude and always have an attitude they sit there and chit chat the entire time instead of assisting the customers. I recently went in there and they refused to honor the item I was trying to buy even after it had tags all the way accross telling me it wasn't that item trying to get me to buy the cheapest one that I didn't even need at that.

Went to the store for a transmission speed sensor - counter person look up item came back with a part box that looked like it came out of a garage box covered with grease tab on box torn - I looked inside and part looked like it was used also screws used to mount part missing - I said to the guy this is not new - he told me this is how it came from the warehouse - are you kidding me - I really needed the part so said if I take it as messy as it was and missing a part do I still pay full price - guy said yes full price - I left the store - will not shop there again - person was not friendly to begin with - went to autozone and got my part with screws

I ordered 4 spark plugs and then received an e-mail that the order was reduced to 2. I called in and explained that 2 spark plugs were useless to me and was informed that the 2 had already shipped and to get a refund I would have to return them to a local store. This is not a viable option. While on hold, I was disconnected. Why would you ship 2 spark plugs when 4 are required for the application? Why would you ship an incomplete order without approval by the customer?
I did receive a call back while I was filling this out, with more bad options, to go to a local store and place an order. I work 11-12 hour days. I do not have time to go to the store which is why I ordered online. It makes no sense that the local store can order them for me, but they cannot order them through the online store. Are they not a part of the same company with the same warehouses/parts source? They are going to try and recall the shipment and issue a refund. We will see what happens.
This is not a good experience with Advance Auto Parts. I would like to get feedback from this complaint. Again, will see what happens.
