student loan servicing
In May I was first contacted by AIDNest to lower my student loan payments. Since then, I have attempted to cancel payments to my student account with FedLoan Servicing and they say I cannot cancel payments that account unless I am consolidating accounts with another loan servicing provider. I signed with AIDNest to minimize my payments, but in August I made payments to both, am no longer sure where the payment I made through AIDNest is going. Initially when I signed up with AIDNest I was told they would send all the necessary paperwork to cancel the FedLoan Servicing account and not to provide them with my FSA ID. A month later I was told I would have to cancel that service myself which means that FSA ID has no effect on who can receive payments. AIDNest has done nothinh to provide me an acceptable explanation for my situation and are very difficult to speak with concerning the situation. The greeting on their published phone number [protected]) does not present as a company primarily engaged in providing student loans. I have notified my bank to stop payments on AIDNest requests for automatic payments, and I am resolved to take any other steps that may be necessary to resolve this issue.
loan forgiveness program
I was contacted about the forgiveness program on 5/2/2018. The representative was well aware of my loans. He had all my information. I was informed that my loans would be consolidated. I paid 185.60 twice. I thought I was paying towards my loan. Today I called my loan lender and the payments I made have not be applied to my loan balance of 65, 092.44. I am a single parent, I am indigent. I was late paying my rent thinking I was gaining control over my student loans. I owe so much, I have been able to obtain my AAS degree and I'm not in my career field. I am desperate for help.
lowered loan payment but bad at calling me back.
I am commenting to hope someone from your company catches on to the poor communication your team has.
The service is fine but the communication is just not there. It took days to get a call back.
If you can fix this you will have much happier clients. Everything else is good with my loan so thank you for that but please fix the call backs.
Thanks.
They are a scam out of bogata Columbia. They have no affiliation with the us department of education. They are putting people on a PAYE plan, pay as you earn. Its free, and easily done through the us department of education website. Stay away from these scammers!

Student loan forgiveness
This company contacted me 4 days ago stating they could help me reduce my federal loan if I gave them my personal information. When I asked how they got my information they said through the federal education loan department. When I asked for the company name they asked me why this mattered (1st red flag). When I asked for their company main number again the rep (Adam) was getting mad and asking me why I wanted it (2nd red flag). When I asked for the mailing address this set him off more where he rattled everything off so quick you couldn't write it down(3rd red flag). I finally got him to give me the information and looked the company up. All I saw were scams. I called back and asked them not to contact me again and they have called me everyday since, sonetimes 2-3 times even though I'm on their do not call list. When I said I was just going to turn their information into the authorities the guy told me "you do that" and hung up on me. I just want them to stop calling. I never asked for help. Its funny the phone never rings either, just a beep and its a person on the line. No company identifiers.
loan reduction /forgiveness counseling
Aidnest contacted me by phone about assistance with loan reduction / forgiveness programs & said time was running out on the programs. When I called them back, the rep said airnest works with the department of education (Doe) & could help me for a small fee paid in 4 installments. However, the doe provides help for free! When I said, "I know I can get help for free directly from the doe, so why do I need you?" the rep hung up. This is a scam! Here's the official doe government website with phone numbers to doe agents who will help you for free with loan reduction / forgiveness: https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/contact
student loans scam
Okay so aidnest charged me 125 a month. Marcus truman needs to be stopped. I stopped midway because my actual loan services great lakes contacted me today saying they never received any money. I don't even remember how I fully got in contact with them. I remember filling out the income driven repayment plan, and then somehow they got involved. Make sure you get them guys!
I paid 600 back in April to July of last year to have aidnest as my student loan forgiveness advisors and now I find out they are a scam. Now I have to figure out how to get my loans out of default and get back on track, costing more money.
aiding students/ loan forgiveness
08/31/2017
I received a letter from Department of Education with a balance that was due on 09/01/2017. I contacted Aidnest and told them I received this balance and I was under the impression that I was going through them for my student loan forgiveness. They told me they are working with the DOE and that they are legit. well I called Nelnet (loan servicer who is actually with the DOE) and they do NOT work with any 3rd party SCAMS. I already made 3/4 payments that I could have kept in my pocket. The 4th payment will be stopped and I have already notified my bank to stop those automatic payments coming out of my account. I wish I had looked into this more when they contacted me but its a lesson learned. They need to be stopped.

AidNest lawsuit
This is definitely a scam, they have stolen $1000 from me by withdrawing monthly from my bank to supposedly pay on my student loans. Fed Loan Servicing confirmed after they hadn't been receiving my payments. Complete scam and I want my money back!
Aidnest is a company called avec staffing, it is a Columbian call center, aidnest works to steal your fsa id, social security number, and banking information. They will pretend to be affiliated with the US department of education, and the message before this one was written by an employee of avec staffing/aidnest. They will have you pay them for free services through the US Department of Education. They are a scam
Yes I've found that too be true too. These people pretend to be the US department of education to trick you into working with them. They are located in columbia. Inform the FBI at ic3.gov if you are contacted by these individuals.
I also thought that Aidnest was a scam when I spoke to them, but my neighbor told me they were legit. He had been using their services for about 9 months, we went to the same college and graduated the same year. They helped him with his loans and so then I enrolled with them too. I just couldn't afford my dang payment. They charge you a service fee or they call it an enrollment fee. Which is fine with me because when I called my lender they were so unhelpful. But these guys knew exactly what I needed to do and they got me a reasonable payment. So I can't complain, they never made me think they were the Government or anything like that.
