I'm using cell no [protected] from past 5 years. its validity has expired on 21st of may 2008. Due to oversight it was not recharged up to Aug 19th. When we tried to recharge on Aug 20 it could not be re charged. Can I got my no. activated now? On inquiring customer care they have told it can be activated by taking anew sim card but nearest airtel offices are saying that they cannot activate.

I have tried to deactivated my missed call alert service with airtel thrice as of now. But every month i am assured that my money will not be deducted any more, still it is not deactivated yet and i have pay for the service. Every time i have called airtel customer care the agents are very rude. They disconnect the phone, they don't let me speak with their supervisor. I feel like discontinuing my service with airtel because its been the worst customer service experience ever.

I am with airtel from about 5 years and changed my plan from postpaid to prepaid card and then my bad days started as a customer airtel launched MCHEK ON MOBILE... for customers i downloaded the software and then used it once made recharge of 220 rs as there was a offer for full talktime means i will get 220 rs credited in my prepaid account but in a minute money was debited from icici bank acc which was good but the money credited to my prepaid acc was rs 50... i called cust services in a healthy manner on 22 august but i was provided a date that will recieve a call back on 4 days after means 25 aug ... no calls recvd From Airtel... i called in again then was transfered to cust care executive who was really rude instead of helping me was tryin to just finish the call... i hung up the called in again there were several of cust care executives whom i have word with and they provided with different resolutions and then finally i asked for a manager there instead i was transferred to a different person and then the same result... he advised to go to the nearest airtel outlet... i mean what kind of sense it makes if everybody goes on there outlet it was really disgusting to call in cust services jaipur and simply a waste of time...

COMPLETELY AGREE! I've been getting full network converage on my cell phone, in spite of that I've not been able to send messages. The message gets sent after 5 6 tries. A message longer than 160 characters is sent half resulting in the depletion of balance and in the end, the message is not conveyed.
Even with the calls, when I call, the call is connected, the other person recieves, but nobody is able to hear anything. This happens at leat once everytime.
The only thing that is making stay with Airtel is the NOP service, which thankfully is working fine.
Rest, Airtel's the worst network ever.

I would like to take this opportunity to test the assumptions that underlie Airtel mobile phone service's apologues. By way of introduction, let me just say that I respect the English language and believe in the use of words as a means of communication. Arrogant Neanderthals like Airtel mobile phone service, however, consider spoken communication as merely a set of noises uttered to excite emotions in spleeny, venal self-promoters in order to convince them to overthrow democratic political systems. It is easy to see faults in others. But it takes perseverance to give peace a chance. What makes Airtel mobile phone service think we want it to do exactly the things it accuses effete showboaters of doing? Did it read something about that in "The Do-It-Yourself Guide to Classism"?
If it is not yet clear that Airtel mobile phone service's principles have really been demonstrated to be coterminous with those of vile, manipulative poltroons, then consider that it gets a lot of perks from the system. True to form, Airtel mobile phone service ceaselessly moves the goalposts to prevent others from benefiting from the same perks. This suggests that it accuses me of being narrow-minded. Does it claim I'm narrow-minded because I refuse to accept its claim that its prevarications are Holy Writ? If so, then I guess I'm as narrow-minded as I could possibly be. Fortunately, if you ever get into an argument with some of Airtel mobile phone service's protégés about whether or not my concern is with morality itself, not with the teleological foundations upon which it rests, I have an excellent sockdolager for you. Simply inform the other party that I normally prefer to listen than to speak. I would, however, like to remind Airtel mobile phone service that there's a time to keep silent and a time to speak. There's a time to love and a time to hate. There's a time for war and a time for peace. This is regarding compalin with my Airtel cordless phone .In which i am facing issue since from beginging at the time of buying it from Airtel . Although complain had been frward to AIrtel People, but as usual no response from airtel . Request you to please accepts this gadget as gift from my side to airtel as their isno use for me after paying Rs 2500/- to airtel .
Kindly send some to accept it from my side as i had already bought new codeless having lesser price & more relaiable than airtel phone .

I have requested for Prepaid to post Paid, mine is a 6 years old pre paid connection with airtel and I decided to get it post paid, but it was a very bad experience, I was asked to submit the documents and after submitting my documents there was a verification after which my number was to be activated, they activated my number and when i was away from city, my number was blocked when I contacted customer care they told there was some verification issue and contact the gallery from where I had made the request, I was away from city hence was not able to reach them, it was the worst period in a new city my mobile connection is stopped and I have no way to contact people, or there was no way people could contact me. When I reached the city after 1 week I asked them what was the issue and they said the copy of the document was not clear, I told they should have checked it before activating my number, the person was not ready to hear anything, and told the number would be re activated after submitting the documents, as if I was in need of the connection and it was my mistake that the documents where not checked, I remember I asked them to check the documents when I gave them and they said they were fine.
Airtel has worst network in Pune and also now I feel the customer service is also worst.
Beware of Airtel!

Airtel is not taking care of mobile prepaid users? Why they only providing customer care to postpaid/broadband users? It's really very bad and stupid. I am/was a prepaid customer, I called from US to Airtel customer care; i tried many times to talk with customer representative, they are not allowing to give a chance to talk with customer care. Is that means prepaid users are not Airtel customers?
I realized that and understood that i am not customer to Airtel, and decided to cancel my prepaid account with Airtel.

It is being 17 days, but there is no any response from your site. This is one type of harassment to me.
As per conversation with customer care, I submitted documents three times since I got this connection. Please start my connection ASAP.Otherwise I will send a mail to consumer court regarding the same.

My cell phone has lost recently and I asked customer care to block my number. This is very much frustrating that instead of continuously following up and making at least 10 calls per day to customer care, they haven't blocked it since last 4 days. I am very much worried about any misuse of this but the airtel guys are really irresponsible, very time they asked that server is down. I don't know if continuously till 3-5 days server is down than what service is Airtel is providing to its customer. This time I am really done a mistake to choose airtel.

i too got contacted by one airtel sales person. he took rs. 500 from me.. but still now i didnt got connection neither my money back..i do have all his contact no and an airtel card, i called him atleast 50 times and airtel customer too.. its the worst the thing can ever go..if i want i can go to airtel office and fire em all, but i can see its no use as everybody is involved in this, ad i dnt know why m writing this sh** as it will be of no use .. its just a site to get the traffic :(

You would think that you could get your money back if you were overcharged. No you can't, there is no way. They made an error on their side that charged me $200.00 more that I should have. Then they say their is no way to get it back. They said they put in the correct information. That it was my banks fault. And they confirm they received the overcharge. My neighbor, York Galland, also from Austin, TX said never use them. I should have listened.

Airtel is one of the worst telecom company i have ever seen..i m one of the corporate customers of airtel paying a few thousands evy month...
First and formost is the service itself is the worst in india..voice clarity and coverage is poor compared with other players.. i was offered unlimited gprs at rs 199/-.bt when i get the bill i was surprised to see that it was chargable after 200MB..i loadged so many complaints against this and my mob is full of service req no: s from airtel..Interestingly the mail communication is clear that i wl get unlimited gprs meanwhile the customer care executive is saying there is no such gprs plan available...
next thing is changing mob acc no: and bcoz of this i didnt get one month bill. so i cudnt pay the bill for that month and they r now charging late payment charge for that..the bill i got is very interesting as the same line item is repeated quite a few times with the charges...
I m fed up of calling customer care as if most of the cre names are familiar to me...
hats of to airtel to treat such a customer in this manner

I Purchased a SIM Card on 02.12.2006 (AIRTEL - Prepaid) and I lost the same in the month of July, 2008 (approximately). Now recently I purchased a Sony Ericson mobile and Inserted the same SIM, but the SIM is not working properly even though I confirmed with the showroom which the mobile I have purchased from. Some time in the mobile displays the 'Searching' instead of "AIRTEL and Emergency calls only" instead of AIRTEL. I tried from my land line, when I called to my mobile there is a message listerning 'the mobile is switched off'. Please check it out the error occurring and rectify it as early as possible.

I have a prepaid connection of airtel (+[protected]) taken few months back in April.
I always prefer to make a full talktime recharge.
Last month on 21-10-2008 I called to Airtel customer support and asked for full talktime recharge.Guy who attended my call, told that if I do a recharge of 499 rs. I will get full talktime. I confirmed thrice the same information with that guy because as per shopkeeper there was no such scheme available.
Guy assured me that definitely i will get 499 as talk time.
I immediately did a rcg of 499 and I just got 350 as talktime and 150 as local A2A talk minutes which I didnt want at all.
I called to Airtel customer support again and guy sais that this is a scheme in which u will get rest of the taltime in next 48 hrs.
I was not satisfied with that at all.I called next again and spoke to a supervisor.He filed a complaint and gave me a ref. no. [protected] and asked to me wait for 48 hrs for callback.I waited for 2 days but i didntget any call back. Then i called again on 23-10-2008 and guy told me that issue still has not been resolved and will take some time.
ThenI got busy in some personal issues and could call again for few days. I called on 30-10-2008 again and guy told me that I will get a call back on that day which never came.
Then I called at least 10 times but nobody tried to get to my issue or treied to listen at all.Sometimes they disconnected my call and sometime they put me on hold for 10 mins and then disc ed the call.I was very much fed by calling again and again then thsey simply barred my 121 and 198 so that io could call them back.
After few days I again called back for the smae issue and Guy put me on hold and didt come back.I got a CSAT for call which I filled as NO as i was not satisfied at all.Then after 3 days I got a call back from an outbound agent from the No. +[protected]. He asked me why I have said no for the CSAT . I briefed him abt the issue.He assured me that he will investigate the matter nad will get me back.
Its more then thre weeks but I didnt see any call back.I called couple of times again but same results.
I am a very very frustrated customer and just will not rechrge the airtel a.c as soon as validity expires.
For u 150 rs is a small amt but for me its a huge amt. and just want my money back.
Its not my fault as i had consulted u guys before doing rcvg.
If u cannot give 150 rs as talktime to somebpdy as free of costthen u dont have the right to waste cm's money as well.

Respected Sir, i wnna complain about Airtel for deduction of money from my prepaid num [protected] account.When i called to customer complaint department they tld me that the amount deducted from ur acc is because of ur calling .When i asked them about the time of call, i am surprised to hear because on that time my cell phone was switched off ie from 4:20 pm to 8:00pm

I have taken a cug connection from aitel and i have given all the documents related to it twice .
now after 2 weeks they have barred my services and i am continously trying to approach airtel and i am not getting any response from customer care. i reached airtel outlet D.S.Enterprises in mayur vihar phase-1 delhi and i have submitted my bill there on 17th jan 09 and today on 23 jan 09 i called up airtel customer care they are not opening my barred services, though i have given him my bill no. but the customer care person named raghav somani he is such a wierd staff member of airtel he is telling me so adamantly that i wont raise your request. moreover when i told him that pls transfer this call to your manager he straight away said "No i wont", i asked him to transfer the call to department who can give the closing request no., i want to close this connection now. he said no i will not transfer mam.
Such a bunch of idiots they have hired.
they are not responsible that someone is facing problem, i have been travelling in noida late night in a cab for the last 5 days and without outgoing service in my mobile.
service is not at all good. i am very disappoint with the service and member of staff.

I 'd never seen this earlier that company like airtel earns money like this!. I activated scheme for local call rate discounting, now whenever i make call, it not happened that i get connection in first try, my call get connected to whom i dial but voice not reaching on opposite side. then i need to disconnect the call & when i try to reconnect 2nd or 3 rd time, it goes proper.
So, to make a single call i pay 1.80 instead of .60 paise,
great cheating of Big companies !

Dear sir,
I am Bibhuti Bhusan Dash, Address-At:Jayamangalpur, Po:Biribadi, Dist:Khurda from ORISSA working as a Team Leader in call centre of Reliance communication(Smart GSM Service). My prepaid airtel number is "[protected]". I have taken the connection on 16th March 2007. After that I have recharged Rs 999@/- Life Time Validity voucher on 10th April 2007.
But the processing fee Rs2@/- is always deducting on recharge of Top Ups bellow Rs200.00 from 4th january 2009 which is beyond the company's rule. Only for this inconvenience i have called to customer care mor than Twenty times. All the CSRs and TL's have informed me it will be resolved soon but they are not giving any commettment date or Time and not refunding the money. Except that, Some of the CSRs have wrongly passed me "You are a Rs 495@/- Lifetime customer by which I am completely irritated and finally decided to take the help of Consumer Forum.
Finally, I request you update my priceplan of Rs 999@/- LTV and refund all the deducted processing fees within 48 working hours.
I too facing same problem. for all of them who view this dont use airtel any more

I am Balaji .My Mobile number is [protected].I am not able to connect to the airtel messenger for the past one month .Every time I call up the customer care they keep on raising complaints but I dont get any solution for the complaints registered.They deduct 50Rs for the service which is not connecting at all .
gprs is still not activated to my cell.my cell no. [protected]. i have tried for more customer executives
suggestion.but still it is not enabled..
I am with airtel from about 5 years and changed my plan from postpaid to prepaid card and then my bad days started as a customer airtel launched MCHEK ON MOBILE... for customers i downloaded the software and then used it once made recharge of 220 rs as there was a offer for full talktime means i will get 220 rs credited in my prepaid account but in a minute money was debited from icici bank acc which was good but the money credited to my prepaid acc was rs 50... i called cust services in a healthy manner on 22 august but i was provided a date that will recieve a call back on 4 days after means 25 aug ... no calls recvd From Airtel... i called in again then was transfered to cust care executive who was really rude instead of helping me was tryin to just finish the call... i hung up the called in again there were several of cust care executives whom i have word with and they provided with different resolutions and then finally i asked for a manager there instead i was transferred to a different person and then the same result... he advised to go to the nearest airtel outlet... i mean what kind of sense it makes if everybody goes on there outlet it was really disgusting to call in cust services jaipur and simply a waste of time...
COMPLETELY AGREE! I've been getting full network converage on my cell phone, in spite of that I've not been able to send messages. The message gets sent after 5 6 tries. A message longer than 160 characters is sent half resulting in the depletion of balance and in the end, the message is not conveyed.
Even with the calls, when I call, the call is connected, the other person recieves, but nobody is able to hear anything. This happens at leat once everytime.
The only thing that is making stay with Airtel is the NOP service, which thankfully is working fine.
Rest, Airtel's the worst network ever.

This is regarding compalin with my Airtel cordless phone .In which i am facing issue since from beginging at the time of buying it from Airtel . Although complain had been frward to AIrtel People, but as usual no response from airtel . Request you to please accepts this gadget as gift from my side to airtel as their isno use for me after paying Rs 2500/- to airtel .
Kindly send some to accept it from my side as i had already bought new codeless having lesser price & more relaiable than airtel phone .

I have requested for Prepaid to post Paid, mine is a 6 years old pre paid connection with airtel and I decided to get it post paid, but it was a very bad experience, I was asked to submit the documents and after submitting my documents there was a verification after which my number was to be activated, they activated my number and when i was away from city, my number was blocked when I contacted customer care they told there was some verification issue and contact the gallery from where I had made the request, I was away from city hence was not able to reach them, it was the worst period in a new city my mobile connection is stopped and I have no way to contact people, or there was no way people could contact me. When I reached the city after 1 week I asked them what was the issue and they said the copy of the document was not clear, I told they should have checked it before activating my number, the person was not ready to hear anything, and told the number would be re activated after submitting the documents, as if I was in need of the connection and it was my mistake that the documents where not checked, I remember I asked them to check the documents when I gave them and they said they were fine.
Airtel has worst network in Pune and also now I feel the customer service is also worst.

Airtel is not taking care of mobile prepaid users? Why they only providing customer care to postpaid/broadband users? It's really very bad and stupid. I am/was a prepaid customer, I called from US to Airtel customer care; i tried many times to talk with customer representative, they are not allowing to give a chance to talk with customer care. Is that means prepaid users are not Airtel customers?
I realized that and understood that i am not customer to Airtel, and decided to cancel my prepaid account with Airtel.

My cell phone has lost recently and I asked customer care to block my number. This is very much frustrating that instead of continuously following up and making at least 10 calls per day to customer care, they haven't blocked it since last 4 days. I am very much worried about any misuse of this but the airtel guys are really irresponsible, very time they asked that server is down. I don't know if continuously till 3-5 days server is down than what service is Airtel is providing to its customer. This time I am really done a mistake to choose airtel.

You would think that you could get your money back if you were overcharged. No you can't, there is no way. They made an error on their side that charged me $200.00 more that I should have. Then they say their is no way to get it back. They said they put in the correct information. That it was my banks fault. And they confirm they received the overcharge. My neighbor, York Galland, also from Austin, TX said never use them. I should have listened.

Airtel is one of the worst telecom company i have ever seen..i m one of the corporate customers of airtel paying a few thousands evy month...
First and formost is the service itself is the worst in india..voice clarity and coverage is poor compared with other players.. i was offered unlimited gprs at rs 199/-.bt when i get the bill i was surprised to see that it was chargable after 200MB..i loadged so many complaints against this and my mob is full of service req no: s from airtel..Interestingly the mail communication is clear that i wl get unlimited gprs meanwhile the customer care executive is saying there is no such gprs plan available...
next thing is changing mob acc no: and bcoz of this i didnt get one month bill. so i cudnt pay the bill for that month and they r now charging late payment charge for that..the bill i got is very interesting as the same line item is repeated quite a few times with the charges...
I m fed up of calling customer care as if most of the cre names are familiar to me...

I Purchased a SIM Card on 02.12.2006 (AIRTEL - Prepaid) and I lost the same in the month of July, 2008 (approximately). Now recently I purchased a Sony Ericson mobile and Inserted the same SIM, but the SIM is not working properly even though I confirmed with the showroom which the mobile I have purchased from. Some time in the mobile displays the 'Searching' instead of "AIRTEL and Emergency calls only" instead of AIRTEL. I tried from my land line, when I called to my mobile there is a message listerning 'the mobile is switched off'. Please check it out the error occurring and rectify it as early as possible.
No way to give it back, even when it is there fault? They are the ones that set up their system. They could chose to make it that way. And they could change it if they wanted. It is just a good excuse to do what ever they want.

I have a prepaid connection of airtel (+[protected]) taken few months back in April.
I always prefer to make a full talktime recharge.
Last month on 21-10-2008 I called to Airtel customer support and asked for full talktime recharge.Guy who attended my call, told that if I do a recharge of 499 rs. I will get full talktime. I confirmed thrice the same information with that guy because as per shopkeeper there was no such scheme available.
Guy assured me that definitely i will get 499 as talk time.
I immediately did a rcg of 499 and I just got 350 as talktime and 150 as local A2A talk minutes which I didnt want at all.
I called to Airtel customer support again and guy sais that this is a scheme in which u will get rest of the taltime in next 48 hrs.
I was not satisfied with that at all.I called next again and spoke to a supervisor.He filed a complaint and gave me a ref. no. [protected] and asked to me wait for 48 hrs for callback.I waited for 2 days but i didntget any call back. Then i called again on 23-10-2008 and guy told me that issue still has not been resolved and will take some time.
ThenI got busy in some personal issues and could call again for few days. I called on 30-10-2008 again and guy told me that I will get a call back on that day which never came.
Then I called at least 10 times but nobody tried to get to my issue or treied to listen at all.Sometimes they disconnected my call and sometime they put me on hold for 10 mins and then disc ed the call.I was very much fed by calling again and again then thsey simply barred my 121 and 198 so that io could call them back.
After few days I again called back for the smae issue and Guy put me on hold and didt come back.I got a CSAT for call which I filled as NO as i was not satisfied at all.Then after 3 days I got a call back from an outbound agent from the No. +[protected]. He asked me why I have said no for the CSAT . I briefed him abt the issue.He assured me that he will investigate the matter nad will get me back.
Its more then thre weeks but I didnt see any call back.I called couple of times again but same results.
I am a very very frustrated customer and just will not rechrge the airtel a.c as soon as validity expires.
For u 150 rs is a small amt but for me its a huge amt. and just want my money back.
Its not my fault as i had consulted u guys before doing rcvg.
If u cannot give 150 rs as talktime to somebpdy as free of costthen u dont have the right to waste cm's money as well.

now after 2 weeks they have barred my services and i am continously trying to approach airtel and i am not getting any response from customer care. i reached airtel outlet D.S.Enterprises in mayur vihar phase-1 delhi and i have submitted my bill there on 17th jan 09 and today on 23 jan 09 i called up airtel customer care they are not opening my barred services, though i have given him my bill no. but the customer care person named raghav somani he is such a wierd staff member of airtel he is telling me so adamantly that i wont raise your request. moreover when i told him that pls transfer this call to your manager he straight away said "No i wont", i asked him to transfer the call to department who can give the closing request no., i want to close this connection now. he said no i will not transfer mam.
Such a bunch of idiots they have hired.
they are not responsible that someone is facing problem, i have been travelling in noida late night in a cab for the last 5 days and without outgoing service in my mobile.
service is not at all good. i am very disappoint with the service and member of staff.

I activated scheme for local call rate discounting, now whenever i make call, it not happened that i get connection in first try, my call get connected to whom i dial but voice not reaching on opposite side. then i need to disconnect the call & when i try to reconnect 2nd or 3 rd time, it goes proper.
So, to make a single call i pay 1.80 instead of .60 paise,

I am Bibhuti Bhusan Dash, Address-At:Jayamangalpur, Po:Biribadi, Dist:Khurda from ORISSA working as a Team Leader in call centre of Reliance communication(Smart GSM Service). My prepaid airtel number is "[protected]". I have taken the connection on 16th March 2007. After that I have recharged Rs 999@/- Life Time Validity voucher on 10th April 2007.
But the processing fee Rs2@/- is always deducting on recharge of Top Ups bellow Rs200.00 from 4th january 2009 which is beyond the company's rule. Only for this inconvenience i have called to customer care mor than Twenty times. All the CSRs and TL's have informed me it will be resolved soon but they are not giving any commettment date or Time and not refunding the money. Except that, Some of the CSRs have wrongly passed me "You are a Rs 495@/- Lifetime customer by which I am completely irritated and finally decided to take the help of Consumer Forum.
Finally, I request you update my priceplan of Rs 999@/- LTV and refund all the deducted processing fees within 48 working hours.
