I tried Pataday for the first time and was terribly disappointed
I tried Pataday for the first time and was terribly disappointed. It says it lasts for 24 hours but I was lucky it lasted 3.
Their rebate program is a scam
Their rebate program is a scam. Website is terrible. Verification code that I received from my eye exam is not valid. I am not buying any more Acuvue products or any run through Alcon.
This company false advertises. They always say they offer a rebate when you purchase their contacts but then they find a million minor reasons not to pay out the rebate. To boot, their contacts are very flimsy and get dirty and scuffed very easily. I HATE this company
I purchased more contacts than I wanted to because there was a rebate if I did. I submitted all of the requested documents only to have them deny my claim. The upload shows that they received the forms except the itemized receipt in which it said it was "torn" which is interesting since all of the documents were folded together and every other one looks perfectly intact. They indicated that they emailed me about the need for the itemized receipt, which is a lie. There are no emails from them in my inbox or spam folder. When I asked to see the email, they did not produce it. Because it doesn't exist. When I asked for them to reverify my claim as I have a copy of the itemized receipt they were unwilling because of some arbitrary timeline. I don't know if they forgot but we're in the middle of a pandemic and people don't have time to be jerked around over $100. This company made 6.8 BILLION dollars in profit in 2020 which is apparently down 8% from 2019, however, that seems phenomenal considering people couldn't even get regular eye care for nearly half the year. I've been wearing their contacts for at least 6 years but mark my words, I WILL GO BLIND before giving this company one more dollar from my wallet.
I have a credit card that expired called their customer service and stayed on the phone over 30 minutes so they can send me a new card. To get a new card it was 20% of the total balance on the card. This company should not be in business.

I recently purchased 8 boxes of lenses and submitted my rebate claim. I wasn't able to do it online because the code on the form wouldn't allow it. I ended up mailing it in and finally received confirmation that it has been received and under review. It took 3 weeks to receive and now it will be another 2 -6 weeks for them to determine if they will approve it. Potentially it will be almost 2 1/2 months to find out if it is approved. Doesn't this seem like a long time to wait. ?
Their Rebate Vendor is completely unwilling to work with people during COVID. I ordered my year's worth of contacts from my eye doctor over the phone and had them shipped directly to my house to avoid another unnecessary trip to their office. Because of this, I was never given a "sales receipt" and despite several emails back and forth explaining this and asking them to review the situation they flat out refuse to accept the "shipping receipt" that was included in the box of contacts. And despite me buying a yearly supply of contacts for each eye (total cost of $248), it would only be a measly $30 rebate now too. Last year's rebate was $70 and the year before was $100, so I will definitely be shopping for a new brand of contacts next year.

UNACCEPTABLE. Eye exam conducted July 31. Now it is September 7 and still no contacts. When my eye are provider called Alcon in mid August, they were told that the product would ship September 1 or 3. Clearly, Alvon doesn't have the product on hand, but they've had my money since July 31. Let's call them what they are: alCON. They are liars and scammers. DO NOT ORDER FRO THEM. Z
I have been a loyal Alcon customer for years, spending thousands of dollar on their contacts. I have not had an issue with their rebate program until recently. They issue their rebates through a third party company, which has terrible reviews, complaints, ratings, etc. I was having issues using my virtual visa card of $200 and could not get a hold of anyone. Alcon's website takes you back to the third party company, which doesn't do me any good because I can't reach anyone. Now my virtual visa card has expired and you can imagine the disappointment I am feeling right now. Why Alcon are you using such a TERRIBLE third party company to issue your rebates?
Terrible company!
Terrible company! Doesnt want to give you the rebate, either its incomplete or cant read the bar code. This time said needed clear bar code. Sent it and now cant find the account with all the other things they require. This is not the only time its happen to me. Good contacts but dont expect the rebate any time soon

I have ordered contacts from Alcon for many years
I have ordered contacts from Alcon for many years. Last year I ordered a year supply through my eye doctor and received a $150 rebate card. I did not realize the card would expire so quickly. 6 months is such a short period of time to use a large amount of money like that, especially in a pandemic. I wish I had known the rebate would be this difficult to use or I would have ordered my contacts from a cheaper company.

I purchased a year's worth of Alcon contacts for my son from our eye *** in order to participate and receive a $100 rebate
I purchased a year's worth of Alcon contacts for my son from our eye *** in order to participate and receive a $100 rebate. I received an email from Alcon to redeem my rebate, which was surprising since usually rebates come in the mail. Unfortunately there was an expiration date just to REDEEM the rebate. I used the chat feature for customer service where I was told the expiration date to redeem my rebate had passed. I then called to speak to someone in customer service where I was again told the expiration date had passed and there was no way for them to reissue the rebate. If I never redeemed my rebate and they could see that, why aren't they able to reissue the rebate? This is insane. I spent a lot of money at once on a year's worth of contacts to save money in the long run to be told the redeeming part of my rebate expired! Not even the actual rebate "card", but just redeeming a rebate I am owed. I want everyone out there to know how much of a scam this is. There should NEVER be an expiration date on redeeming something you are owed. There is absolutely no reason why they can't reissue an email so that I'm able to claim my $100 rebate! I would leave zero stars, but am prompted to provide a star-rating.

Fraudulent rebate offer (electronic card)
I purchased a years' worth of contact lenses and was promised a $100.00 rebate. I completed all necessary steps and chose an electronic card. I attempted to use the card many times at Amazon/Target online shopping ect. It was always declined. I contacted Alcon many times with no response. I was told the card expired and that it was no longer valid.
Claimed loss: $100.00 Rebate Card
Desired outcome: I would like my rebate card to be reissued in a physical format.

I been purchasing fresh look handling tint only contacts for over 20 yrs in bulk like 25 bxs for each eye
I been purchasing fresh look handling tint only contacts for over 20 yrs in bulk like 25 bxs for each eye. I had called alcon because about 9 bxs (6 lens a per container ) were just coming apart real easily when just opening the container and lightly handling them to insert them. There wasn't an issue with the initial rep agreeing to replace them if i provided the prescription and for which eye. I am a retired dessert storm vet and suffer with PTSD and OCD but have a masters in phycology so were far from ignorant to the subject matter and needs. When i called there I got this one lady name Megan she was very nice but somewhere in the content of conversation I became uncomfortable not her fault intentionally its my condition so I could not finish the agreement to replace the lens so i was referred to another person spent countless of times on hold, or being disconnected. I finally found this lade named *** which i was comfortable with to get this issue completed. .

I FEEL LIKE I WAS RIPPED OFF & I WANT MY REBATE. I PAID $700 FOR THE CONTACTS AND MOST OF THEM DRIED OUT & WERE LOW *** SO THIS IS EXTRA DISAPPOINTING. I was given a rebate offer from my eye doctor's office for a $50 Rebate card based on a one-year purchase of contacts
I was given a rebate offer from my eye doctor's office for a $50 Rebate card based on a one-year purchase of contacts. I filed the claim on Monday April the 19th and received a rebate reference number which I wrote down carefully. Website stated rebates are processed within 3 to 4 weeks, so 4 weeks from day I filed would have been May 17th. I still have not received a rebate card and today is June 8th. I've called the rebate card phone number three times and each time I've been redirected to the menu to select whether to speak to an agent or enter my reference number which they're saying they cannot find. I'm getting nowhere with this rebate company- it's now been over 7 weeks since I filed this claim and I need to know if they never received the claim or if I need to refile the claim. they seem to have some of my information because they have quoted it to me so I'm wondering how they have that information if they haven't received the claim. Please help-I am in need of this money.
I believe Alcon is committing fraud in the way they advertise mail in rebates. They offered a $30 rebate which I submitted electronically. They responded several months via email with a link to "choose" how I wanted to receive the rebate. The link is only valid for a short time and the email went to my spam folder. As a result I missed my "window" to get the rebate even though I met the submission deadlines. I believe this tactic is intentional so try and invalidate claims. They never specify on the form that this is their policy. The claim was processed within the rebate period, but Alcon defrauded me because I was too late to specify how I wanted to receive the reimbursement.

I ordered a year supply of Alcon contact lenses through my eye doctor and applied for the $100 rebate
I ordered a year supply of Alcon contact lenses through my eye doctor and applied for the $100 rebate. Ref #UQDJZP2KK in June . On June 10, I received an email that the rebate was on hold because the documentation was not clear. I resubmitted and didn't hear from them. My request was always to have a physical card. Things got busy at work, with COVID, and I forgot about it. I wrote tp them again in January and they keep telling me that it's *** paid on 6/21, and I keep telling them I didn't receive a card. I have no problem with the lenses, I have received my rebate credit card in the past and this is the first time I'm having problems. Also when I log in to check my claim history, the claim I'm referring to is not even listed there and I have to enter the ref number to find my request. This could be resolved by: Alcon mail me a physical card for $100 for 2021. I'm also going to be purchasing lenses again in April and want to make sure they will still honor my new request since they never paid me in 2021.

On 11/07 I went in to see my eye Dr for an eye exam
On 11/07 I went in to see my eye Dr for an eye exam. I was given some new contacts lenses to try and there was a $75 rebate that I was supposed to have received if I contacted the company and filed out the information to receive the rebate the next day 11/08 I filled out the paperwork, so December went by January through May and I still hadn't received my rebate. On June 9th I called the company at *** and spoke with a young lady and she informed me that she would send me an email that would show me how to get my rebate. I checked the email and the email stated that the payment expires on February 29-2020. The young lady had to know that this was June and the rebate had already expired. I really don't think this company had any intentions of giving me my $75 rebate I should had received my rebate within 60 days of filling out the paperwork. The young lady told me she saw that I had filled out the paperwork she was sorry for the delay, there was no excuse for me getting my rebate.
Alcon promoted through a vendor a $150 rebate on a year supply of contacts. I purchased, applied, and received a $150 virtual *** card. Claim number U9QTXR4H9D. Due to the way this card is configured, the card has not been able to be used on any transactions: I tried transferring funds via Venmo, making a gift card purchase at BestBuy, and making a partial Merchandise Purchase at BestBuy.At minimum, I want to be able to use my $150, or otherwise receive $150 via cash or check. Given the inconvenience, I do feel additional compensation is also appropriate.
When purchasing rather expensive Alcon contacts, I was provided with a rebate form that would provided $225 for the contact lenses purchased. The link provided does not work. I've tried for several days and feel this is not only misleading but fraud. I tried emailing them using the link on your site. I was never able to move past the "are you a robot" question as it just continued to stall.
I filed an online rebate form with this company twice in the last 2 years for contacts my daughter had purchased. Last year they told me i couldn't get the rebate because i did not respond in time to their e-mail they supposedly sent me asking how i would like to get my rebate. Either it went to junk mail or i never got it. This year when i filed for the rebate, they denied me because i had gone several days over the 60 days from purchase ***. This rebate thing is a scam. They put very short windows on the requirements so they can deny the rebate.
On June 15, 2022, I purchased Alcon contact lenses from my optometrist, with the offer of a $100 manafacturer's rebate
On June 15, 2022, I purchased Alcon contact lenses from my optometrist, with the offer of a $100 manafacturer's rebate. I went to Alcon's website and filled out he forms and uploaded required documentation. After doing all this, I came to a screen that said I was eligible for the rebate, pending verification. I saw no other prompt for action, so I assumed that I would be notified once verification was complete. The application says to wait 6 to 8 weeks for payment. That time has expired, so I searched my email for messages, of which there are none. I called Alcon, and was informed that I had not completed the application, that there were additional screens that needed to be completed. I did not see these screens, and received no notice that my application was incomplete. Because of the narrow window for submitting the rebate request, it is now too late to re-submit.It is my belief that their application process is deliberately deceptive, and that their narrow windows of application and long windows of payment leave no margin to correct errors caused by this deception.

In 2021 I purchased a years worth of Alcon contact lenses
In 2021 I purchased a years worth of Alcon contact lenses. I only purchased a year's worth due to the rebate offer of $100 because I would normally never spend that much money on contacts. I did receive my gift card but it was near impossible to use. And by near impossible, I was literally never able to use it. I tried transferring funds to my Amazon account, tried making a purchase at Best Buy (physically and online) and several other businesses. Sometimes I was asked for a PIN (which I had never set up and had never been provided). Finally, knowing that the "expiration" date on the front was approaching I even tried transferring the funds to my PayPal and Venmo account and it got declined both times.Once the card DID expire I logged onto my account to ask them to reissue it only to find out there is no way to do it. Once the card expires the money is gone and can't be replaced. This is a violation of gift card laws but they get around this by expressly stating it's not a "gift card" it is a "reward." Some reward. Limited window of use and technical problems when you try.I would like an actual $100 rebate that I can use.

Transaction Date: ORDER#w241661539, Paid Amount: COLORED CONTACT LENSES (HONEY) - Unwearable due to irritation
I purchased colored contact lenses (honey) but could not wear them due to a burning sensation, redness, and pain in both eyes. I've contacted the seller multiple times requesting a refund. The initial refund request was made some time ago, and I was informed that the refund process had begun and to allow a certain number of days for completion. However, I have yet to receive the refund. Representatives have repeatedly stated it would be sent via email on an electronic Mastercard from Akimbo. After contacting Alcon again today, I was told the refund was issued but they were unsure why it hasn't been sent and promised to contact Akimbo. The representative mentioned I might receive the refund by Monday or Tuesday but did not confirm, as I've been given similar assurances before. He stated he would inquire with Akimbo about the delay, but I feel I've been given the runaround since the promised time frame has passed. My complaint number with Alcon is PR2032410. Please assist me with this matter. Apologies for the capital letters.

I purchased a year's supply of contacts and submitted info for the rebate
I purchased a year's supply of contacts and submitted info for the rebate. I received an email that the rebate was approved. This is the second year in a row that I've received the rebate. The first year I had no issues. This year I tried to use it and it did not work. I contacted customer service and requested a physical card instead and was told I could not change from digital to physical card. I went to try to use the rebate and the email said access to the card was expired. That is ridiculous because the email doesn't say that the rebate gift card had an expiration date, just access to the payment via the email would expire with no option for re-issue or a different form (which is in violation of gift card laws). This is totally unfair I tried to discuss this with customer service and the rep was completely rude about it she kept insisting I used the rebate in 2021 and it was expired and I explained to her that was the rebate from 2020 and I received a new rebate in Jan 2022. This makes me not want to purchase contacts that have anything to do with a "gift card/rebate" from this company. I would like my $100 rebate! Claim number UVHZFWNSWZ.

Issue with Alcon Rebate Process via Clarkson Eyecare
My daughter purchased Alcon products through Clarkson Eyecare. We were informed of a $300 rebate offer. After filing for it, she received an email with a non-functional link. Repeated attempts to resolve this with Clarkson Eyecare were fruitless. I reached out to Alcon directly and spoke with a representative who informed me the offer had expired, offering no further assistance. This is frustrating because: 1) The rebate should be the customer's right; 2) The email link was consistently invalid; 3) No expiration date was ever disclosed. Clarkson Eyecare's sales representative claimed the rebate was already redeemed, which is untrue. We expect Alcon to honor their promise and issue the rebate as well as an apology for the inconvenience.

Alcon Choice Rebate
Alcon Choice Rebate. I sent in my rebate forms back in October '20 and received noticed via email that my rebate claim had been received and was being processed. They have a link so you can check on the status of the rebate claim, but when I inputted the claim number provided by Alcon *** along with my email address, it stated it was not valid. I emailed Alcon Choice asking for an update and they stated it was approved for payment on 11/11 and that I should have received an email with a link showing how I can claim my rebate. I told them I had not received any email other than the one showing my rebate claim had been received. They asked for my email, but told me that my email was incorrect! I have used Alcon for the past three years and always use my same email so not sure why they would have a different email for me. I have followed up numerous times since then, but to no avail. I am beginning to suspect they are trying to purposely not issue me the rebate. Unfortunately, I am left not knowing what I need to do from here. At this point, I am thinking seriously about ending my eye doctor relationship and finding another contact lens provided to avoid this nonsense in the future.

Customer service rudely provided misleading information, claiming that the card has an expiration date printed on it and they would not re-issue the card. Nowhere on the card does it state that the rebate itself has a specific expiration date. As anyone who has ever had a credit card or debit card knows, when your card expires, it doesn't mean that your balance also disappears. If the rebate money was going to be taken back by ALCON, the card should clearly state that. Limited window of use and technical problems when you try to use it- it's a ripoff. I would like my $200 rebate. Claim #

On 04/29/2022, I did my eye exam and ordered "Alcon" branded contact lenses for 800$ that was covered by my insurance from my provider "Precision Vision Optometry, ***". The provider promoted a coupon from "Alcon Rebates Program" that promised 100$ rebate if I ordered 8-boxes (one year supply) that costed me 1120$. I followed all the rules of the rebate and submitted the necessary documents on time. The rebate reference # is USQ9ZSHLWC. Alcon rejected the rebate as follows:CLAIM NUMBER: USQ9ZSHLWC PRODUCT: DAILIES TOTAL1 MULTIFOCAL / 90-PACK REASON: MAXIMUM ONE REBATE CLAIM PER PATIENT PER YEAR For the 12 months period of my insurance claim (01/01/2022 - 12/31/2022), this is the only rebate I have submitted. The only other claim I have submitted was for the year 2021, which was for the claim year 2021 (01/01 - 12/31). My insurance clearly approved this for 2022 and did not confuse it with my 2021 claim. My provider clearly documented these 2 as separate years (2021 and 2022). I'm suspecting that Alcon rebate *** is possibly confusing the claim from 2021 as a duplicate of that for year 2022.Please review the above details for the claim of 2022 in its merit and that I was marketed the additional contacts over 800$ purely based on this rebate alone, I request Alcon to honor their rebate and to avail or refund me the 100$ rebate amount.Attachment: Rebate submission confirmation for the year 2022.

On January 7th, 2022 I purchased $568 worth of contact lens for my son
On January 7th, 2022 I purchased $568 worth of contact lens for my son. I was given a rebate form from my eye doctor to submit a claim for $100 which I was eligable with my purchase since I purchased a annual supply, which was the only reason I purchased an annual supply. I submitted an online rebate request on January 27, 2022. I checked my online claim and it said the claim was denied. There was no way to access my claim any longer online and it said to look to my email for why it was denied. I never received an email so I checked my spam folder. There was an email that was sent on January 28th that stated there WE REQUIRE THE CUSTOMER NAME TO CLEARLY BE IDENTIFIED ON THE INVOICE. I submitted 2 copies of the invoice with the initial form and you can clearly read my son's name on both copies. I called customer service and they said since my son's last name is different they declined the rebate. I was told when submitting a rebate you are given instructions to allow 6-8 weeks for processing. Which I did and why I was now following up. They said since it is outside of the 8 week window there is nothing they can do. So they want you to wait up to 8 weeks for processing but if you wait 8 weeks and 4 days to contact them they will decline your rebate. This company is a scam. Every time I try to submit rebates they make up a fake reason to reject it. This is completely unethical. I want my $100 rebate. claim number #UVCQNRPF4N

As a long term customer of Alcon's - purchasing a years worth (720) of contacts from them since 2001 - I am extremely disappointed in the way the rebate program has operated. The past few years the company has really been making an effort to make getting the rebate they promise extremely difficult. In 2018 the card they sent me was faulty and after a few delayed attempts with promises from their customer service that it was error not on their side, I found myself past their window of time to use the card. When I spoke with customer service explaining the situation they said they would replace the card but at a fraction of the value. Fast forward to this year, my claim was submitted the day of purchase. After some time, I received notification that the images were not clear that I took with my iPhone XS (I checked after and they were definitely legible) but when I accessed the site to re-upload I was not able to make changes. They only give a 30-day window of time for corrections which passed by the time I called customer service to correct. The customer service rep just kept saying it was my fault for missing the 30 day window, and was in no way open to working with the unique challenges I faced. This used to be a company I promoted to friends and family and even got others to start using their products, but after this I really feel like they are advertising a rebate that they have no intention for people to actually receive. I have lost around $500 at this point. I liked their products but unfortunately will have to go elsewhere because I don't feel like they have their customers' best interest in mind, or that they follow ethical business practices.
Complaint about Air Optix HydraGlyde BC 8.6 Dia Prescription - Alcon's unique product
My complaint is about the Air Optix plus HydraGlyde BC 8.6 Dia Prescription by Alcon, the sole manufacturer of this lens type, forcing me to purchase from them. I've been using this lens in my left eye for some time and have encountered numerous defective lenses. Just today, I received a faulty box from a trusted online retailer. I plan to contact the seller tomorrow but also wish to report this recurring issue to Complaintsboard.com. The packaging indicates the correct prescription, but the lenses impair my vision upon insertion. They have codes, presumably for prescription identification; 'Ciba 672' works for me, but today's 'Ciba 671' does not. I suspect these are incorrect, as 'Ciba 673' was used during my prescription adjustment and did not suit me. Now, I have six unusable lenses. The retailer's policy only allows returns for unopened packages, yet I must open them to verify the code. I've attached an image of today's box with the Lot #, hoping it aids in addressing what seems to be a significant quality control problem impacting vision. I can also provide an image of a correct lens box later.

Hi,My doctor performed a cataract surgery on me and installed PanOptix lens TFAT00. This lens is a multifocal and do not provide shar vision at my age 45years where i play sports.Earlier complain filed PR # *** no action taken. 1. This product is misleading for 45 years age group.2. Older adults may be happy because cataract comes late in their life. Not sure how did not they test on my age adults and selling this product. Today I wear glasses *** on top of his lens.3. Also I spent extract $ , despite having a top insurance."PanOptix lens TFAT00" is totally not upto the quality for younger age group.Shekhar
Terrible company! Doesnt want to give you the rebate, either its incomplete or cant read the bar code. This time said needed clear bar code. Sent it and now cant find the account with all the other things they require. This is not the only time its happen to me. Good contacts but dont expect the rebate any time soon
