All Temp Chicagoland Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc
All Temp Chicagoland Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. was awesome! They did a great job and it didn't cost an arm and a leg! *** was super professional and got a team to come out and switch out our old furnace and humidifier real quick. ***, the technician, has helped us before fixing our old furnace and he always explained everything so my family could understand. He showed off his skills again when he put in the new furnace. They did it all in a jiffy and even cleaned up after themselves. We had a really great experience with All Temp from start to finish and we totally recommend them to everyone!
This company ain't reliable at all!
This company ain't reliable at all! I called 'em on Memorial Day, 2020, and someone did show up. I was happy with the service they did. The next time I called 'em was on 5/22, and they said they couldn't squeeze me in. (Saturday) I told 'em it was an emergency with water drippin' from my ceiling and near a light. I had to call another guy to fix it. Today, June 4, I called at 4:15 AM and talked to the answering service. They were supposed to pass on the message, but I didn't hear back by 8:00 AM. I called at 8:15 AM and they said the earliest appointment I could get was from 12-5. It's almost 5:30 PM now and still no technician. I've been sweatin' in this hot house all day. If I knew, I would've called someone else. I'm so mad at how they treat customers. I won't be callin' this business again. My plumber recommended someone else, so I'll be callin' them from now on.
Here's my problem, and the folks in the office knew our furnace had a warranty
Here's my problem, and the folks in the office knew our furnace had a warranty. They knew they weren't authorized for repairs. Instead of telling me to go to an authorized service, they tried to get me to use their services, which wasn't in my best interest. The bigger issue is: I DIDN'T NEED THOSE PARTS AT ALL, IT WAS A BIG LIE. Another company came and it was a simple fix. The part I needed was about the size of a quarter and NOT THE PARTS THEY SHOWED ME. PARTS COST $20.00. The authorized service provider cleaned the furnace without being asked and replaced the part. I wouldn't trust any quote from this company. Even though it'll cost more, get a second quote, it's worth it because they're not honest. Let me explain. We ended up paying $165.00 when All Temp wanted almost $1000.00. All Temp sent a technician named to our home because the furnace was blowing cold air. After checking the furnace, the technician said it needed parts: 2 gas valves and a manual reset limit switch. He showed me the two parts on the furnace. He wasn't sure of the exact price because the office had to check, but said it'd be about $1000.00. With the senior discount, it'd be $942.00. I thought it was a lot, but with no heat and colder weather coming, I felt I had no choice. The technician didn't have the parts and said he'd get them and come back the next day. We ended up paying $165.00 when All Temp wanted almost $1000.00. The next morning, I asked the technician if we should replace the furnace instead of paying for repairs. He said it depends on what we can afford or something like that. (You want me to buy a new furnace so you can get a commission?) Meanwhile, I remembered the furnace was only a few years old and still under warranty. The company that installed it originally went out of business. So, I called All Temp to give them the warranty info. When I read the model and serial number, the receptionist already had it on her computer. Now I'm wondering, if you knew it was under warranty, why didn't you consider that when giving me the quote? She said she doesn't handle pricing and someone else would call me back. She did say if they did the repair, it'd be $35.00 for each part plus labor, and the person who does pricing would call me. Later that day, someone higher up called and said they'd do the whole job for about $583.00. Because it's a Rheem furnace, they had to charge for the parts. What? We ended up paying $165.00 when All Temp wanted almost $1000.00. I want a full refund of $80.10 for the service call.

Work was completed for new HVAC system in June
Work was completed for new HVAC system in June . Three things still not fixed. 1. Alltemp gonna replace the messed up cover of the outside unit. 2. Alltemp gonna fix the stuff mentioned in the Bolingbrook inspection report. 3. Alltemp gonna give me $100 back on my card 'cause the rebate was less. Nobody calls or takes charge of this. I gotta keep reminding them over and over. It's been almost 2 years and still no solution!
All Temp Chicagoland Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc
All Temp Chicagoland Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. recently put in a fresh HVAC system in the condo above mine. Unfortunately, they didn't do the installation right, causing a leak in the ceiling between my unit and my upstairs neighbor's. The water leaked for who knows how long, but eventually, it started dripping from my ceiling. It took All Temp three visits to finally fix the issue upstairs, and they've been hesitant to cover the cost of repairing the damage to my unit. The repairs amount to around $2000 and include getting rid of mold.
In April , they came to clean the furnace and A/C unit
In April , they came to clean the furnace and A/C unit. They said the A/C compressor and furnace were broken and gave me a quote to replace both. Since I rent a space for my business, my landlord sent his repair people to give me another quote. They mentioned that someone had removed the cap from the compressor, causing all the Freon to leak out. It wasn't actually broken, and it seemed like the All Temp guys might have been the ones who removed the cap. I wrote them a check for the furnace cleaning, but later realized they never cleaned it because they thought they were going to replace it. I watched them closely, and they definitely didn't clean it. I spoke to *** about this, and he promised to remove the charge. However, I received a collection notice last week, and despite making 5 unanswered phone calls, he informed me today that he won't cancel the collection notice.

On October 18th, I had All Temp come over to clean my heating and air conditioning vents
On October 18th, I had All Temp come over to clean my heating and air conditioning vents. They were supposed to clean a total of 14 vents, but they only cleaned 12 of them. I was a bit confused because the guy who called me to let me know they were on their way said they cleaned those vents from the basement. But all the other vents were cleaned upstairs, so I didn't get why they did it differently for those ones. And another thing, why didn't they clean the vent covers? I decided to do some investigating around the house and discovered that the heat vent on the back porch was dirty. I reached my arm in as far as I could and found hair, dust, and crumbs. That's not how it should be, in my opinion.
I tried calling the office multiple times on Wednesday the 19th and twice on Thursday the 20th, but no one bothered to call me back. It's really frustrating. So today, I finally had enough and called my credit card company to file a dispute. It's a shame because the two previous times we used this company to install our furnace and air conditioning, we didn't have any issues.
In early May, I got my furnace/air conditioning checked by All Temp Chicagoland Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc
In early May, I got my furnace/air conditioning checked by All Temp Chicagoland Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. I've been using them since 2008 and even got a new furnace from them before. This time, I needed a new air conditioner too. A salesperson named *** came to my house to give me prices and options. They gave me two choices with different prices. The first option was $4200 with a SEER rating of 13, and the second option was a SEER rating of 15 for $5104. I decided to go with the higher SEER rating, even though it cost more. The installation took place on May 11.
Later, when I checked my paperwork, I noticed that my invoice stated a lower SEER rating with a higher price. I immediately sent *** an email asking about the discrepancy. He replied and said that my SEER rating is actually 14 or maybe 15, and it works well with my furnace. I told him that's not what my invoice says and requested a corrected invoice. Unfortunately, I didn't receive one. So, I called the company and spoke to ***. He promised to look into the issue and last spoke to me on July 5th, saying he was still waiting to review the invoices. However, I haven't received any further updates since then.
I bought an HVAC unit from All Temp Heating and Cooling in December
I bought an HVAC unit from All Temp Heating and Cooling in December . They gave me a quote for a 3 ton unit, which they said they would match the price for. However, when they installed it, they put in a 2 ton unit instead. It seems like they did a bait and switch to make up for the lower cost of the units. I only found out about the issue when they came to do the summer start-up and my unit kept running without cooling the house. Even after five technicians came to fix the problem, it wasn't resolved. The last technician finally mentioned that I had a 2 ton unit, despite the fact that I showed him the quote for a 3 ton unit that was supposed to be installed in my house. My house is almost *** square feet, and a 3 ton unit is what is needed for its size. A 2 ton unit would only cool a house between 900 and *** square feet, which means it was too small for my house. I would expect any technician spending a few hours in my home to realize that the unit was too small and fix the issue. I have tried reaching out to them multiple times about this problem. I have called to speak to a manager or owner, and they said someone would get back to me within an hour. However, it has been two weeks and every time I call, I get the same answer. This whole process started on 5/11/2022.
We hired All Temp to install a new heater for our rental property in December
We hired All Temp to install a new heater for our rental property in December . During the installation, All Temp damaged our existing AC unit. They told our tenants about the damage, but not us as owners and contractors for the work. In May, All Temp came to the property for a regular maintenance call for the AC units. We pay a yearly rate to have all our units serviced. When I told my tenants about the appointment, they reported the damage to me. Then, when the technician was there, he confirmed the damage. All Temp then came to fix the damaged AC unit. Their representative, John, called and told us he had done the repair (at no charge to us), but the unit still wasn't working. The unit was under warranty, so we had the original installer, Del Jo, take a look. They told us that All Temp had done a bad repair and further damaged the unit. We called John and told him what they found. We said we would have DelJo do the repair, and he said that was good because he was concerned about the complexity and was relieved we were going with Del Jo. We called All Temp and asked them to reimburse us for the cost of the repair due to their faulty work. The co-owner of All Temp refuses to take responsibility, has lied about the chain of events, and now refuses to pay us back for the full cost of the repair.
On January 1, an All Temp rep came out to clean the furnace
On January 1, an All Temp rep came out to clean the furnace. My wife and I bought the house in December , so we wanted to make sure everything was up to date. It was tough to get an appointment due to the ***19 pandemic, so it took almost a year. Finally, my wife was home for the appointment while I was back at work. The rep claimed to have cleaned the furnace, but I think they didn't do anything. In May , the *** line started freezing, so I called All Temp. On May 23, the rep said there was nothing they could do and didn't even check the issue. The furnace completely stopped working around July 30, 2022. I had another company come on August 8, 2022. The rep found that the blower motor caused the furnace to stop working. When they opened it up, they discovered shipping peanuts, dirt, and an air filter inside the furnace. It was a brand we never bought (see attached images). We rarely received packages, and when we did, they didn't have packing peanuts. This proves that the furnace was never cleaned after we moved in. I've spent about $300 trying to fix this issue with All Temp, but they haven't resolved it yet. When I tried to contact management, they completely ignored me and gave me the runaround. No one from All Temp has reached out to apologize or fix the problem. If they had shown compassion and done their job, the furnace issue could have been easily resolved. Thank goodness it happened in the summer and not during winter with two young children in the house. This is unacceptable behavior for a professional business. All I want is for All Temp to acknowledge their mistakes and refund the money they owe me.
