My daughter works at Fairfax Hospital and was legally parked in deck. A gentleman with Allstate Ins had a diabetic seizure, hit and totaled her car. Allstate has denied the claim for her car stating it was a medical emergency which he had no control over.

I fell 10' from my ladder onto a steel fan sitting on a tile floor. Comp fracture to l-1 tore l-3,4&5 of my spine. This happen while I was working on my landlord's property. I told her; she offered no assistance until a year later, when she gave me the insurance co name, Allstate. My first taped interview set me up as the fall guy and I was the problem. I fell on Allstate client's property. Am I not entitled to some assistance with my medical bills, loss wages and education funds? I have suffered greatly and am awaiting surgery. My landlord is harassing me attempting to evict me and I have my rent paid thru Jan 1st 2007. Please help me fight the good fight. Sincerely, James French.

To J French...I've been in the ins biz for 25 yrs. Your case may or may not have validity. No body will question your injury or your med bills. The question is what did your landlord do to cause that injury. You say you were working...for who? What about workers comp, assuming you were employed? And don't you have med insurance too? Simply falling on someone's property does not legally obligate them to pay you. If they did something to CAUSE the accident, well, then you have a case. Please be specific...

Our house was flooded by Katrina. We also are in the oil spill area from Murphy Oil . We were told that because of the oil pollution we could not move back into our home. The insurance payment was due, so I called and cancelled since we would have to demolish the house. As soon as we found out that the area could be repopulated, we called Allstate and asked to be reinstated and they refused our request. No other insurance will write a new policy. We cannot get the money approved by the SBA because the house is not insured! I also had issues with them over the replacement of a privacy fence. One section was blown down by wind, and other sections were knocked down by the flooding. Allstate would only cover one small section. We finally just gave up. When you have been through so much trauma and so much heartache, you just do not have the stamina to continuously have to fight insurance agencies. We have found out just how much we were in good hands.

I have been a home owner for a number of years. I have always had Allstate for my insurance. In the past I've had problems.. for instance.. my mortgage company telling me that I have no fire insurance for my home. I had to call my Allstate agent several times to have him fix this...It took months. My mortgage payment went up because they added the insurance for me... My insurance agent assured me that I indeed had coverage, but there was a mistake. A couple years later, I received a letter from Allstate telling me that I had a little bit of moss on one side of my roof and I had to get it off or my insurance will be cancelled. I looked around, I think everyone has a little bit in my neighbor hood of large trees, but okay, I fixed it. That wasn't so bad, but they hardly gave me the time to do it before they were going to pull the plug on my coverage... Okay but this broke the camels back...I bought a home with a hot tub area that is in need of repair. There is a wood deck around it that is in need of being replaced. Allstate gives me a letter telling me that my coverage will be canceled in a month if this is not addressed. Well, okay.. since I can't afford to totally re build my decd in the next couple of weeks, I had my husband buy several sheets of plywood and cover it all up so that if someone was to walk on it, it would be okay. Took photos and sent it in to the company. Today I get a letter and a refund for my insurance. They said sorry, the only way we can cover you is if you totally build a new patio... Are they going to pay for me to do this? I mean get real, I can't just go to home depot and buy all the material, decking etc.. tear it all down, dispose of all the old material, and old hot tub... possibly pay someone to do some of the work.. and all within a few weeks. I'd have to get a loan to do this. I am currently shopping for new insurance... Beware, if you have Allstate and you have something that needs attention, you better have deep pockets and time to set aside because they will expect it done on the spot. Good bye Allstate

"Accident Forgiveness". What a bunch of CRAP! They cancelled my homeowners insurance just for filing more than 1 legitimate claim (2) over a 10 year period.

We went with Allstate because their quoted price for both car and home was reasonable. To our shock 2 months after getting our policies, we received a letter stating that our home owner's policy was cancelled. Due to one roof shingle missing from our garage (unattached from house) and our front porch and garage paint is peeling. We haven't had a chance to repaint, we are in process of various home remodeling projects. They CANCELLED our Insurance because of peeling paint! No claims were filed ever on this property for any insurance company.

I had someone run into my SUV with me setting in traffic. There insurance was allstate. I called my insurance coming right away. I waited 2 days called allstate they claimed the man who hit me never notified them so they took all the information off me. They would not send anyone out to look at my vehicle. My company State Farm got my vehicle fixed and is now trying to get allstate to pay back ,they won't even talk to my company, so they are taking allstate to intercompany arbitration , This is October my accident happen the 1st of March. How can allstate stay in business treating people this way and putting out false advertisements the way they do? This is just wrong, and I will try to tell everyone I know how Allstate really is!

This morning 10-14-06 8am my PARKED car was hit from behind by a man that lives on my street. He bent over to pick something up while driving and smashed into the back of my car. A large chunk of the back side of my car is missing. It is undrivable. The man was very nice and apologetic. I am less angry at him than his insurance company, Allstate Here's what happened when we called them- We told them what happened. There was a police report. The man was clearly at fault. Here's what they said. Allstate would not pay for a rental car until they could assess the damage and determine who was at fault (although obviously my car was parked and it was 100% not my fault). They also said they wouldn't be able to examine the car until Thursday. Thursday? This happened on Saturday morning at 8am and they are open until 2pm. Why does it take that long?!?!?!?! I'm also sure they're going to try and lie about being at fault when they do come to see it. This is not the only time Allstate has done something like this. A few years ago my mom was driving around a car that stopped in the middle of the road. The passenger suddenly opened their door and my mom hit it. They didn't pull over or anything. Allstate was the other driver's insurance company. Allstate called my mother pretending to be our insurance company to get information out of her. This is blatantly against the law. And Allstate found her to be at fault and she had to pay all of the damages.

October 16, 2006 After paying premiums to Allstate these past 20 years and having never made a claim we were advised last week that our homeowners policy would not be renewed and that we have two months to find another company willing to write a policy. Speaking with my next-door neighbor I discovered he too had Allstate. Upon hearing my news he immediately contacted his agent and was told you have nothing to worry about because you also have your cars and life insurance policy with Allstate and as such Allstate would not cancel your homeowners policy for fear of losing your other business. I contacted my agent David who advised me that New York State has approved Allstate's request to cut 4% of their policies here on Long Island. He further confirmed that Allstate is concentrating on single policy customers and in fact singling them out for nonrenewal due to the fact that there premiums are less than the customers who also insure their cars with Allstate as well. I reminded my agent that in the event of a hurricane their cars could be destroyed as well. How in good faith can New York State allow this practice to continue? J. Jones Northport, NY 11768

I was driving in a parking lot at work and an Allstate insured person backed out of a parking space and their bumper hit the side of my car as I was going straight. I reported the claim to my and her insurance that day. Her insurance was Allstate and they took over as it was clearly her fault. They promptly took my report and set up an appt to look at the damage. I received an estimate and one week later chose a repair shop. Just to ensure Allstate was going to foot the bill I called them prior to my taking the car in and their agent Robert Duran said he could not reach his client to get her side. I work with his client and she has been at work so there is no reason for him not being able to get a hold of her. I believe strongly that Allstate is just trying to get out of the claim. I will be forced to go through my insurance company and sue them afterward. They will not get away with this.

On Nov 2 2005 my house was hit by a car Taking my agents advise I let Allstate handle my claim The driver of the vehicle that struck my house had peerless insurance Peerless paid me for my vehicles rented me a car all within 2 weeks It is 10 30 06 and Allstate still has not paid me I have been a customer with Allstate for 20 years I gave them 2 estimates one for 26000 and one for 22500 They offered me 5000 dollars I called peerless to see if I could go through them to get my house fixed only to find that the idiot adjuster from Allstate had already closed the claim without my knowledge Now I have to get a lawyer pay money out of my pocket just to get my house fixed. Please don't make the same mistake I made STAY AWAY FROM ALLSTATE THEY SUCK

My payments were supposed to be 120.00 Instead they double billed me so that they could get there money faster and get the policy done faster. I did not agree to this and in fact asked that it be fixed. I kept paying the 120 that I owed and not the wrong amount 240.00 because my Allstate agent Jasan Wortham said he'd fix it. He lied my policy was cancelled, I offered to pay it in full the next month, anyways even though I was not behind in reality. he refused to reinstate my policy and did not want my business at all, in the mean time I gave him half of what was left and told him that I needed to purchase an new policy with another company and would pay it in a couple of weeks, not even 30 days has gone by and I have been turned over to a collection agency. They refused my business even though they messed up my bill. They are a wealthy enough company to refuse good customers who never have ever made a claim gotten any tickets or accidents, yet Allstate does not want me well, you know what ### you Allstate!

we were making a right turn onto the road to our home when an Allstate insured driver hit us in the rear spun us and hit into our passenger side door and knocking us into the guardrail. driver of the the car that hit us said that our signal light or brake lights were not working. investigating officer checked our light and all were in perfect working order in fact our signal light was still on. after reporting the accident to her insurance ALLSTATE. they gave us the run around for a little more than a week. and now are saying that they are only responsible for 75% of the damage and us the other 25%. we are now getting in touch with our attorney and maybe turning it into our insurance until we get it settled.

I am a body shop owner in Southern Utah. We have been in business for thirty years. There are seven legal body shops in the area two of which are Dealerships five are independently owned. A few years ago Allstate came in to our shop and asked us if we would be interested in becoming a DRP or Preferred shop for them. Some of the requirements were we would give them a discount on labor and parts in return they would instruct their agents to direct insured and claimants to our shop. We our currently a Preferred shop for several other insurance companies None of which require us to give them discounts. When a Allstate customer comes to our shop we have to wait for Allstates adjuster to come out to make a repair estimate for them before the repairs and be started, This sometimes takes 3 to five days What kind service is this. If the customer takes their vehicle to the Allstate preferred shop they can write an estimate and begin the repairs immediately With this in mind who wouldn't take the vehicle to their preferred shops. Its just Allstates way of delaying vehicle repairs to get the vehicle owner to take their car to one of Allstates preferred shops. This way the vehicle repairs can started quicker and Allstate gets their discount. As a body shop owner I can tell you that most auto body techs are paid on commission the labor discount that Allstate requires their shops to give them is passed on to the tech performing the repairs. Now when a tech is given an Allstate job to do that's labor prices are less than other jobs he is working on Which job would you think would get the a higher quality of repair Because of this We have made the logical discussion not to be one of their preferred shops. In other words You get what you pay for. Currently Allstate has two preferred shops here Both of which are Dealerships who have other means of income such car sales towing services and mechanical service depts. to make up for the losses that are being acquired by their body shops Independently owned shops only sale auto body repairs and don't have luxury of other sources of income to make up for our losses. Maybe this is why the two dealerships here are the only Allstate preferred shops. Allstates agents are telling their customers that they have the right to take their vehicle any where they like But if you do not have one of their preferred shops do the repair they Allstate will not guarantee the repairs Now you tell me Who guarantees the repairs. When you have you vehicle repaired and you have to take it back in for something Do you take it back to insurance company or do you take it back to the place that did the repairs This is legal way of telling their customers that Allstate would rather you take your car to their preferred shops Not for your benefit But for theirs. Remember it is Allstate that will benefit by having their preferred shop to the repairs. because of the discounts given to them by their preferred shops. Ok I know what your thinking I should take my car to the preferred shop because they don't have to wait 3 to 5 days for Allstate to send out an adjuster to ok the shop to start the repairs. OK But remember the tech in the Allstate preferred shop doing your repairs is doing it for less pay and may or may not do a quality repair. Say you get a bad repair and you have to take it back and the shop has your vehicle an additional 2 to 3 days to correct the bad repairs what did you gain. I guess the point of my venting is that Allstate is a self serving company that only cares about themselves not their customers.

My daughter was traveling at approx. 25mph down a city street when a vehicle insured by Allstate pulled out in front of her causing approx. 1,500 in damage. My daughter is a college student an needs her vehicle to travel back and forth to school. The driver of the Allstate vehicle called her agent that day and told them about the accident and that she was at fault, she call the Allstate Co. the next day an gave a taped statemnnt that she was at fault. I faxed a copy of the Police Report with a witness which also stated she was at fault. Now for over a week I have been in touch with the Allstate adjuster that refuses to rent us a vehicle or to have our vehicle repaired until she speaks with her insured. The adjuster has not tried to call, and when a call was set up at 2 pm on Wednesday the adjuster was not available to take calls. We are being jerked around by Allstate and our State Insurance Comm. said there is nothing he can do about the situation. I have contacted an attorney and looks like I will have to proceed through court to get our vehicle fixed. It is ashame that you have to go to court to get an insurance company to do what they are responsible for. The funny thing about it is a few months ago I was thinking of changing all my insurance over to Allstate and went as far as getting quotes. It will never happen now.

Allstate insurance co. is the worst of the worst in the usa...Look what they did to katrina victims...this company was sued by hundreds of homeowners because they refused to pay. If you have Allstate, get out...NOW. I was rear ended by an Allstate insured driver...I ahd to pay for my own medical bills, then Allstate offered me a low ball estimate ...most people would have accepted as they had already paid for all the repairs and medical bills...I DID NOT...I SUED THESE ### IN SMALL CLAIMS AND WON. Their agents get bonuses, trips, vacations, cash if they deny claims or low ball claims successfully. Dont be bullied by them, sue the bums.

I'm getting the same run around with ALLSTATE. In a parking lot on AUG 1st, 2008, an ALLSTATE insured driver backed into my car, hooked my car by the rear wheel well and dragged the car out of its spot before realizing what they had done. Then, my Progressive companycontacted the driver, and recorded her admitting to operating the vehicle. My company then put the claim fully to ALLSTATE where they have been giving me a full run around for four months of them stating that they cannot contact the owner of the vehicle. I have pictures of the entire incident, the driver took pictures too, and there are witnesses from here to the moon who saw the act; all evidence was provided to ALLSTATE. Everything is very cut and dry yet ALLSTATE repeatedly delays the processing of this accident. We are seriously considering legal action over something that should have been settled quickly. This company is repulsive with the way they do business; I am disgusted by their ethics!

My wife hit the garage door at our house with our insured vehicle. The accident caused damage to the garage door and subsequently to the rear end of the vehicle parked inside. Now Allstate will not pay for the garage door or the vehicle inside. They claim that since I own the vehicle inside, they cannot pay for the damage of this vehicle. They will only pay for the damage to the vehicle that hit the garage door. When I contacted my other insurance company(for the vehicle inside the garage) they refuse to pay because I was hit by another vehicle with another insurance. Allstate says too bad! F*&% Them. I will never use AllF&*uck again!

Don't get ripped off! Leave Allstate insurance.

It's possible that Allstate won't pay for your daughter's parked car because the man who had the diabetic seizure wasn't supposed to be driving because of the diabetic seizures so they're refusing to cover him. That doesn't mean her car won't get fixed, just that she needs to sue the gentleman that probably shouldn't've been driving the car in the first place.
