Theater opening
2/13/2022
We arrived at theater to see a movie which starts at 2 pm. The doors are locked and folks who are here for a 1:50 movie.
Is it policy to keep doors locked until just before movie time? Rush in to purchase goodies and tickets with minimal time to rush to find our seats!
This is the second time this has happened and in winter, it’s quite cool to stand outside and wait for the doors to open.
When we got in, we were told “the popcorn wasn’t ready”. Really? The popcorn? You couldn’t have us wait in the lobby until ready? We’re ready to spend money and after a year of closures I would think AMC would be anxious for customers to return and with open arms?
This is at the AMC theater at the Wharf in Orange Beach AL.
Thank you,
Dick Spinosi

Desired outcome: Please request management to open early …this would encourage folks to eat and drink! Spend more money???
Poor movie presentation
I just walked out of a 3 pm showing of "Death on the Nile" at the AMC 16 in Towne Square, Las Vegas. The showing was in the IMAX theater. While the previews were on I went out to the lobby and asked (politely) the young man at the door to please have them check the framing of what was on the screen, this was 15 minutes before the feature started. He did tell me he would let the manager know, and I assume he did, but about 10 minutes into the feature the issue was not resolved. I went out again, the same young man told me he would check it. Now 20 minutes into the feature, the issue was not fixed, so I went out and told him that it was not acceptable. He then tried to tell me that the projectionist or manager told him that the ratio of the movie was not made to fit the screen. Now, I am talking about a top to the bottom frame, where a part of the movie was not being shown, because it was into the top masking (probably not even masking, but I will use that term).
Being from old school movie management in Los Angeles, I explained to him that was not a legitimate excuse, and I would never, ever run a feature if I hadn't checked out the film the night before, and if a film is not made to be shown in IMAX then don't put it on an IMAX screen, however, not even the IMAX trailer was in frame, so the issue is with whoever is responsible for running the film. Again, I know that's not an appropriate term, because no film is involved, so how simple is it to put a digital movie and adjust the calibration, I must assume the digital copy arrives for an IMAX showing.
That being said, to me, this is completely unacceptable, unfortunately not the first time it has happened at this theater. I suppose that becomes a problem when you have 12-year-olds running a theater, who have no respect for the audience, only the paycheck.
As an A-List member, I do go to the movies a lot, and it is my hope that I have to stop going because of a lack of care and in some sense thinking that the audience is stupid and lines like the ratio was not made for the screen.
I am going to admit the young man at the door, I believe did his best to get the issue resolved, it is with the manager that the issue needed to be resolved, and he/she chose not to do anything about it.
Thank you,
Michael Shaw
Desired outcome: I would like a telephone response from either the corporate office or the district manager. [protected]
Why waste your money in a theater, watch the movies at home, at least you know its gonna start on time.
And whatever snacks you make will be ready when you prepare them vs cold, old, stale or delays making you late for your movie which you paid for .

Myself and my husband have been to AMC theaters in several states and never had a problem showing our mask exemption cards due to myself having a heart condition and my husband having asthma which if we put anything over our mouth and nose it will cause harm to ourselves. We were asked at the Owings Mills, Maryland theater if we had masks and showed our mask exemption cards from our doctors and the employee said we were able to purchase our tickets. We purchased our tickets only to be told by same employee that the manager would not let us in because we didn't have masks on. We then had to go get back in line to and deal with the frustration of getting refunded which doesn't show back on our card for several days. Why is it that this particular theater is pushing this ludicrous crap when people have natural immunity, or some were fooled into getting these vaccines that do not work regardless? We have been to restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, department stores etc... down here in the Balitmore, Maryland area and have never been asked to put a mask on. This tyranny needs to stop!
We are from Pennsylvania and have been to North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, New York, Mississippi, Minnesota, Texas and Louisianna and also Towson, Maryland within the past 6 months for my husband's job and have never been refused entry or service. We were at the Towson Cinemark in Towson, Maryland just a month ago and we were never asked to put on a useless mask.
After the way we were treated on 01/22/22 at approximately 6;15 PM at the AMC theater in Owings Mills, Maryland, we will never be spending another dime at your establishments nationwide. And just to let you know, our favorite pastime is going to see movies 1-3 times a week and dropping easily $160-$240 during these visits. You have lost very valuable customers! We will be spending our money where we are welcomed without the woke propaganda that your establishment is pushing.
Thank you,

Customer service and cleanliness
I took my children January 17 at 12:45 to see the movie sing … I had a complementary Check out along with three other tickets that I purchased from Costco. Due to the pandemic we have not been able to get to the movies sooner especially since when we contracted Covid my husband was on breathing machines for a bit of time and then recovering. So one of the...

I do not understand in this day and age why a company so large feels that it is ok to be so racist! Why in the world are you having the 30 days of "ALLBLK". This is only perpetuating the racial issues this country has. Are you planning on having an all White or all yellow month also. I am betting not! so why an all black month of movies. This is so absurd. Unfortunately for me if I want to see a movie in my town this is the best option for me. Maybe this will be the spark it takes to stop some of this nonsense!
Desired outcome: Stop the racism across this company!
AMC-Stubs Premier
Prior to the COVID-19 lockdown, I joined this 'service'. It was new and there was not a lot of info available, but I setup a membership for my wife. We were to receive discount tickets - several each month for an on-going fee. We. attempted to use the service at our local theater. They had no knowledge of plan - but sold us tickets at the regular price. Then I received a bill, charged to my credit card for $21.74 - rather expensive.
Following this was a bad year for us - both my wife and I had COVID - multiple hospital stays, doctor visit, etc. My bad that I did not notice the monthly billing of $21.74 every month.
Last April, I did notice the bill and contested it with the credit card company.
The bills continued through November of 2021. Via my protests, the bill stopped in December. However, AMC now thinks I should pay the 27 months of $21.74!
I have NEVER RECEIVED ANY INFORMATION from AMC - hence, I do not have any contact information for them. I found a phone number, but 'this number is not receiving phone calls. It was suggested that I send them a request on Facebook. I don't have Facebook.
Desired outcome: Dismiss the questioned charges

AMC Quarry won't honor coupons
I went to the AMC Quarry in Hodgkins, Il. on 12/23/21 and 12/27/21. On 12/23 I tried to get two tickets with a coupon from My Coke Rewards. It clearly stated 2 black tickets. The employee said it would only credit one ticket and called someone on his headset. He would not do anything about it so I had to pay for one ticket. At the concession I had a coupon for a free large popcorn. The young employee there said they don't have large popcorn, but he could give me a regular size. That was fine with me. On 12/27, I again paid for 2 tickets and went to the concession. I had another coupon for a large popcorn.
This time the employee said we don't have a large popcorn, but the regular size is free. I bought a large drink and was not given a popcorn. The employee now said a regular would cost 9.45. I reminded her she said it was free and she denied it. Other people in my party heard her also. I then paid 9.45 for a regular size popcorn. Inside the theater, I saw my adult son. He went to a different employee who honored his coupon and gave him a free regular popcorn. I can't understand what the inconsistency is between employees and why these coupons are given and then not honored.
I feel AMC owes me for the ticket they refused to honor (6.99) and the regular popcorn I had to pay for (9.45) when they refused that coupon.
Desired outcome: I feel this theater owes me for the one ticket they refused to honor (6.99) and for the regular popcorn (9.45) I had to pay for.
The theater was filthy
I went to the AMC Classic West End Pointe theater on Thursday December 23, 2021 for an afternoon showing. The lobby was filthy. The floor was dirty as was the concession counter where food is served. I bought a soft drink but on both machines half the drink selections were empty, even classic Coke. The counter space where the lids are was sticky and gross from the Icee machine and the floor mats had popcorn all over them. Afterwards, I went to the ladies room and both paper towel dispensers were empty so I thought I could dry my hands with a napkin but the only napkin dispenser was empty. I just gave up after that. The employees seemed indifferent to the impression they were giving. They just stood around in a huddle or wandered back and forth. The only positive thing I have to say is that the theater where I saw the movie was clean. I have worked food service in the past and this is unacceptable and disappointing. This place would never pass a health department inspection. If they say they're observing COVID protocols, they're lying. I live close to this theater so it's convenient to go there, but I won't be back.
AMC Westgate management complaint, Glendale. AZ
Hi,
I attended a movie on 12-26-2021 at AMC Westgate in Glendale, AZ
I reported to management that there was a movie goer that was hacking with a bitter cough constantly all through the movie. The individual was not covering their mouth, let alone wearing a mask. The management at the Westgate theater did not follow the policy below:
"AMC has implemented the following changes to protect moviegoers: Mask Requirements: In accordance with CDC guidelines, masks are not required for guests who are fully vaccinated. If you are not fully vaccinated, we ask that you continue to wear a mask throughout the theatre unless actively enjoying food or drinks. If needed, masks are available to purchase for $1. AMC continues to follow state and local mandates."
Mask were not offered on site for purchase and management refused to address this issue. The manager, Andrew, was rude and belittle me when a brought the issue to his staff's attention. His behavior was unprofessional. He was more concerned about not refunding the cost of my ticket as discussed then ensuring that movie goers have a healthy and safe environment to watch a movie. This theater does not have their CDC Covid 19 policies publicly posted on site.
I do not recommend this theater for individuals who are concerned for their health and safety.
Desired outcome: The manager Andrew and his assistant was rude and need training on how to address health and safety issues without belittling and patronizing their guest.
Horrible Customer Service Received
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to inform you of the horrible customer service I received at AMC Orchard 12 on 12/26/21 at 10:30pm. I am a AMC Stub and A List member who goes to this theatre all the time with no issues until tonight when I was denied entry with my ADA certified SERVICE DOG who is suppose to be protected under FEDERAL law! I am appalled and livid, this is unacceptable discrimination.

Gift Cards never used with $0 balance
I purchased the following gift cards on 12/9/21 and we did not use any of them. All show $0 when attempting to add them to my stubs account. Where did the money go?
One gift card for $25.00
One gift card for $25.00
One gift card for $5.00 as a bonus card
One gift card for $5.00 as a bonus card
I contacted AMC gift card support and they confirmed all have no money on them, plus the dates they were used. Location was "AMC Internet".
Right after purchasing them, I received four emails from AMC, immediately accessed the cards, and added them to my Stubs account. Nothing else.
So I can only assume AMC is compromised.
Desired outcome: Refund of the $50 spent on gift cards that were stolen.

Our grandchildren were visiting us from out of town. My husband & I took our 2 grand-children & our 2 adult children to see Sing 2 at the 7:15 show in Tifton, GA. Our 4 year old grandson had not been to a movie theater before. We paid $69.44 for tickets! Got up to register & asked for popcorn. There was NO popcorn available. The guy said they were our of popcorn seeds!?!? By the way it's popcorn kerns. The slushy machine was out. He said they were out of syrup. We paid over $21 for 4 bottle waters & 1 apple juice! One of our daughters did not get a drink. During the movie our grandson asked if he can get some popcorn. We had to explain to him the movie theater was out of pop corn. How sad is that! So our daughter went to Publix & bought some popcorn. After spending all that money at the AMC theater, we were not happy with our movie theater experience! The seats were soooo uncomfortable. They are old & hard. AMC in Tifton, GA needs an upgrade!
Unethical behavior: disrespectful manager latonya ricks at (amc worldgate 9 in herndon, va)
My family and I went to go watch encanto (a disney film), and at 5:15pm (which is when our movie was supposed to start), there was cleaning still occurring at the theater. So far that is okay, we understand that there are inconveniences. At around 5:25pm, we are able to enter the movie theater and find out seats. We wait 30 minutes and there are no ad...

Numerous issues being an A-List member for me and my wife Cynthia.
First for Cybthia's A-List payment of cash for tickets I paid $40 for the tickets
Then of Dec 14 as you can see I am an A-List member with tickets that were rejected by the manager since I lost my
wallet with my license at Thanksgiving. The manager refused to honor my tickets although she accepted my wife's tickets sitting next to me.
So another $20 cash was spent as an A-List member for two movies.
I demand that the money I paid unnecessarily be sent to me as a $60 concession stand gift card to get my money returned to me.
The $40 AMC tickets have not been mailed to me so provide a gift card.

12/19/2021 My husband and I pulled up to this AMC (Magic Johnson in MD) expecting to watch a movie in a clean environment, however when we walked inside, the outside front of the theater is absolutely disgusting. There was trash all over the ground and trash bins overflowing. We then went to our theater and seats and the floors looked like they haven't...

I enjoyed the original West Side Story so I wanted to see the new version.
Not being informed before seeing new version that it was not in English, I did not enjoy it at all. I came out of movie and thought what a waste of time and money for me. Such a disappointment.
