Here is a very good example of learning a lesson. I was in need of moving my truck and went online to find out what to do. I was slammed with several companies and prices all over the place. Money is a concern and also time is money. Here is the game that most brokers will play. 10 companies responded to my request and the prices went from 825 to 1105 Now you would think that 'what the difference?' They all say they are going to move my car with out a problem. So you go with one of the lower ones. WRONG MOVE!

This girl Amy tells me all these options and say it wont be a problem at this rate. I asked her why are the other companies so much? Should I be worried? No we can get it done. days go by and I had to leave my truck with a gas station that I really did not know. I paid him $100 to give it to the driver when they come to get it. I called and emailed once a day for 3 days and no response. So I went back to the beginning and looked at the companies in the middle range. It started to make sense. The driver has a ton of moves to chooses from, why take mine for 140 less. So I narrowed down to 3 companies and looked to see what the broker had to offer. I went with the one that put it in writing and did not charge me upfront.

It was night and day they worked to find me a carrier and then charge me and any time I had a question I called and they answered the phone. I have my truck now! Funny thing is that Amy emailed me and says's have a truck that can pick it up today and deliver it in a week' Amy if you ever read this, you are nuts! I looked up your 'company' and it must be nice to go outside and take a dip in your pool at lunch and not perform your service. Hint Google Earth you idiot. How can you be a leader and say that you have 6 employee's? Are you talking about your mom dad baby sitter and the f-cking ups guy? Leaders perform idiots just take a little bit longer to get caught! Oh yeah Marius Lehmann have a nice day and find another job. Try and use your number for a 3rd business that will fail.

Please go to a website that will offer you an honest reflection on how much our customers appreciate our services. We can err sometimes, but we have an excellent reputation on customer services. Go to www.carmoversdirectory.com. This individual has not even had the courage to identify him or herself for us to be able to follow up.

This person does not have the courage to post his/her name so we can follow up. For a fair evaluation on what customers say about our services go to http://transportreviews.com/company/AmeriFreight.asp

We do sometimes make mistakes, and we regret when this happens. But we do everything possible to help as best we can.

I also had a negative experience, and didn't
continue with this company after their quote to me. Amerifreight touts all its' positive
reviews on certain review sites (see CEO's response above), but doesn't
mention the way they get so many reviews: they essentially pay people $50 to
leave a review, and make their prices look lower by already reflecting that $50 incentive in advance in your
quote.

However, there was nothing mentioned about this on my quote, just near the top "be sure to claim
your discount", then below the quoted price "(This rate includes a $50 discount)". OK so I’ve claimed it, right? WRONG!

When I questioned the rep closely, it turns out that you will actually be charged $50 MORE (ie.
NOT get the discounted price you've already been quoted) UNLESS afterwards you go
onto the specific ratings sites they designate and review them.
The company rep responding above to prior complaint claims the reviews are all
"honest". They may be honest, but one needs to realize that this
method of marketing heavily skews the review sites toward only people who had a
positive experience, ie the people for whom Amerifreight's
DID successfully get a driver contracted (and largely reflects customers experience
with that other company, the contracted trucker).

Since only the successful customers are directed to the review site, those reviews will rarely reflect the
people like me who didn’t use Amerifreight because their quote seemed deceptive (and rep refused to give even a general estimate of how often a quote like mine would be picked up at the price quoted). In particular, it wouldn’t reflect aborted customers like the guy above who gave up and used another company, unless they happened to stumble on the review site on their own, like
the guy above who gave up and used another company when Amerifreight failed to deliver on the most important part of its job--- lining up a trucker at the price they quoted.

Amerifreight may be right in line with competitors when they actually deliver service, I have no way of knowing. But I do know that the customer reviews on those specific sites are not an accurate reflection of customers who used (or attempted to use) their services, and that in my opinion their price quotes are misleading and dishonest by not indicating what has to be done to "claim" that
discount that appears to have already been received.
