I bought a Grundfos Alpha2L from Anchor Pumps and they was a big help on the phone, answering some questions I had about fitting.

Anchor Pumps is a pretty good company, but I gotta say, the products they sell don't really live up to their reputation, you know? I talked to their staff and they suggested I get a Grundfos Unilift AP 35.40.06.A1,240v Submersible pump for dirty water. It was a bit pricey, but they assured me it would do the job and that it had the best backup in case anything went wrong. Well, guess what? Just 4 months after I bought it, the darn thing stopped working. So, I asked for a warranty and they picked up the pump the very next day. But here's the kicker, I didn't hear a peep from them for a whole 7 days! And when the pump broke, my underground tank was already full, so you can imagine my frustration. I had to call Anchor Pumps a whopping 6 times before I finally got a response from Grundfos. I reckon all my pestering might've been the reason they refused to honor the warranty. And get this, they charge a whopping £120.00 just to return the pump! I reckon they know those parts ain't worth much and that's why they're charging so much. Honestly, I wouldn't even recommend a Grundfos pump to my worst enemy. I've been reading some reviews lately and it seems like a lot of folks are having similar issues. If Anchor Pumps wants to do right by their customers, they should stop selling these pumps and only recommend ones that actually work.
