This company startin chargin my account without onboarding me and without providin a service. They're a ripoff and Im reportin them to ComplaintsBoard.com!
I've called so many times to cancel my membership
I've called so many times to cancel my membership. They keep saying I never sent any cancellation emails. Their customer service rep straight up called me a liar.
If you read the other reviews, this company is just a scam
If you read the other reviews, this company is just a scam. When you try to cancel, they make it really difficult. I tried to cancel in Oct of 17' but I still have an account with them and they still take $10 every month. My bank told me that the only way to get rid of them is to make a completely new account so they won't have my account info anymore. I really suggest staying away from this company! I promise there are better companies out there.
The salesperson seemed like they knew what they were talking about, but in the end, they didn't listen to what I needed
The salesperson seemed like they knew what they were talking about, but in the end, they didn't listen to what I needed. When we talked about the map feature I wanted for my buyers, I got three different answers. It was really confusing and I didn't know what I was getting. Three days later, I had a meeting with the website team. I paid for a semi-custom site, but all they did was put the wrong address in a template and said they worked on it. Placester didn't do any custom work at all. Buyers can't use the map to choose their desired neighborhood like other companies allow. Placester expected me to draw 89 maps for potential buyers. We didn't talk about this in our meetings. When I asked to cancel, my salesperson said I had to do it online. I canceled the order, but then I found out they wanted to keep all of my money. After a tiring chat (they wouldn't answer the phone), they're still trying to keep my money. At the end of the week, they gave me $650 back because they couldn't develop the website. They still kept $150 for the subscription fee, even though they didn't finish the job or provide any hosting services.

I've been using Placester, Inc
I've been using Placester, Inc. for years, paying $5 a month. But recently, they changed their pricing without asking me and started charging me $74 and $69 per month. I tried to get in touch with them, but no one answers the phone or returns my calls.
On Dec 26th, 2021, I got charged $69 by Placester
On Dec 26th, 2021, I got charged $69 by Placester. I didn't give permission for this payment. I called Placester and talked to their representative. They mentioned that the price went up from $5 per month to $69 per month, and they considered me a long-standing customer receiving a special offer. I informed them that I didn't agree to the charge and requested a refund and account closure. The representative apologized but stated that they couldn't issue a refund, although they would close my account. This feels like fraud.

Placester started takin' $69 from me every month without me knowin' or sayin' it's okay
Placester started takin' $69 from me every month without me knowin' or sayin' it's okay. They never sent me no email 'bout changin' the prices. I been havin' my site for over 5 years and usually they charged me a yearly fee 'round $50. When I seen a charge this fall for $69, I just thought it was my yearly fee goin' up a bit. But then in December, I seen the charge again. I ain't an active agent, so I don't really check on my site. I went straight to my site's billin' info and found out they been takin' $69 from me since July. I tried callin' customer support, but ain't nobody answerin'.
I had an annual subscription with Placester from [protected] and paid about $54/year
I had an annual subscription with Placester from [protected] and paid about $54/year. In January 2022, Placester changed the price of my subscription to $69/month. I received no notification from them, and I did not authorize the new charge. They used a credit card that expired in 2020 to charge me $69/month for several months until I noticed it. When I disputed the charge with Placester, they said they had emailed me their refund policy (I never received any emails from them) and that the problem was really on my credit card company for allowing the charge. If this is the way the company needs to make money, they are in big trouble.
I was contacted to try a trial by this company, during the trial period they charged me for a subscription that they offered for free
I was contacted to try a trial by this company, during the trial period they charged me for a subscription that they offered for free. The ads they put up are also very confusing about annual subscription or signing up as if you are paying on a month-to-month basis when you are not. I don't want to use the services because customer service keeps trying to get you to spend more money and they only respond if you continuously bother them to remind them of your issue, so I can only imagine how actual customers feel. They charged my card $80 after I told them not to. I also received an invoice that amounted to 0, but they charged my account for an actual membership.
I bought Real Satisified from Placeseter about 30 days ago and I've had nothing but problems
I bought Real Satisified from Placeseter about 30 days ago and I've had nothing but problems. I want my money back because the service didn't work like they said it would. My assistant sent herself a survey to test it out, but it ended up getting published on all the sites without approval. I contacted customer service the first time, but they didn't reply and closed the ticket. The second time, they told me to send the same survey to my assistant again and it would replace the previous one. We did what they said, but now the survey is stuck in quarantine. I asked for a review, but no one responded. I asked for a refund and they basically said tough luck. I want a full refund.
l'm writing about Placester, the website platform
l'm writing about Placester, the website platform. I signed up a couple years ago for a very basic website at $5 per month, but now my credit card statement shows it's $69 per month without my permission. I tried to address this issue directly, and they told me my old plan is no longer available. They switched me to a $69 plan, which they claim is a discount from a $300 plan. However, my website and backend haven't changed at all, and now they want me to create a new website on their new platform. It feels like they're holding my website hostage, charging me 14 times more than my old plan, and it might increase to 60 times more in the future. Is there anything that can be done about this unethical business practice? Thank you, Jon.
In 2016, I started a website and Placester.com was chargin $6 a month for their services
In 2016, I started a website and Placester.com was chargin $6 a month for their services. I have paid this $6 a month since then and can show it coming out of my credit card each month automatically. In December, with NO NOTIIFICATION whatsoever, they charged me $69. I didn't not notice it until I got a second charge on January 25th, 2022 of $69. I called and asked if this was a mistake and they said they sent out notification to their customers that there would be an increase. I checked my deleted emails, junk folder and the folder I keep for them and no notification was sent. I just want proof that they sent something and they won't give me anything. Because there isn't anything. I think the company was probably short on cash and decided to charge the credit cards they had on file. What a scam. I also believe it is illegal.
It's been a real struggle trying to cancel my service with OPEN HOME PRO OPERATES by PLACESTER since the start of 2019
It's been a real struggle trying to cancel my service with OPEN HOME PRO OPERATES by PLACESTER since the start of 2019. PLACESTER keeps taking $25 from my credit card every month, even though they promised in an email back in September that they would cancel the service, never charge me again, remove my credit card details from their system, and refund the money they had already taken. But guess what? They haven't stopped charging my card or refunded any of the money. It's now July and I still see those charges on my bill. I reached out to PLACESTER again, but they're not giving me a clear answer. This is such a headache. I don't know what else to do to make them stop charging my card and give me my money back. PLACESTER needs to step up, take responsibility, and put an end to these charges. They should reimburse ALL THE MONEY THEY'VE TAKEN SINCE AUGUST .
I signed up for Placester in July
I signed up for Placester in July . I paid $773 for a one year plan. I also pay $5 a month for IDX integration. I told Placester on 12/28 that I will be canceling my service with them. I asked them to release my domain, cancel my account, and give me a refund for the prorated service. They told me that my account will be fully canceled in July 2022. I need my account fully canceled today so I can move forward with my business. It's not right to keep a customer hostage for 6 months. Other companies let you cancel, release your domain, and get a prorated refund. Placester is not customer friendly. They are not making this easy. They have no flexibility and are demanding that I keep my account for 6 more months. Time is important, and I need my account fully canceled today.
Placester is a real pain to deal with!
Placester is a real pain to deal with! They make it impossible to cancel their service and keep charging me $456 every year for website renewal, even though I never agreed to it and can't stop it. They have this automated 1-800 line, but all it does is tell you to submit an online form by logging into your Placester account. The problem is, I've been locked out of my Placester account for 3 years now.
When I first signed up with Placester, I had a different last name and was working for a different real estate firm. Now, my name has changed and I'm no longer with that firm. Because of this, I can't log in with my old username, retrieve my passwords, edit my account information, fill out forms, or ask for help. It's a never-ending cycle of being locked out and being charged.
I did manage to get one email from their "support" team after being on hold for hours on November 26th. But since I couldn't verify my old account information, they wouldn't let me cancel Placester. And because they only accept online forms for cancellations, I'm stuck with this useless account that I can't change.
It's absolutely ridiculous that I'm being charged $456 for a product that I can't even edit, can't use, and have no way of changing. It's a complete waste of money and a major headache.
Lack of support and ability to correct issues with my purchased website
Lack of support and ability to correct issues with my purchased website. I been trying to get help from Placester Support to assist with a Property Listing MLS data not showing up when I make a Property Landing Page, but no luck. I contacted Placester on 11/7/22 through chat for help with making a Property Landing Page. Placester *** (No last name) said she would escalate my problem. I sent multiple support tickets and all I get is a link to a *** video on how to make a property landing page, which doesn't help me with my problem, which is the *** from my MLS not loading when I search, like pictures, listing description, etc. I sent a support ticket late on 11/7/22 asking for my problem to be escalated to someone other than Placester *** and I got an email saying my problem has been escalated. I sent a support ticket on 11/8/22, got the same canned response that my problem is being escalated, but no solution to my problem as of now. Placester not responding or fixing this problem for me is affecting my ability to make a property landing page for my marketing campaign of my property listing. I sent a support ticket today 11/9/22, nothing but Crickets Sound, no response, no problem solved, JUST PLAIN INCOMPETENCE from PLACESTER AS A BUSINESS. The *** market is terrible right now and it's very annoying that I can't get help from Placester to fix my problem, putting me at a further disadvantage.
