We had Shade Solutions come to our home to give us a suggestion and quote to protect 2 windows on our home for the coming storm season. The salesman came and suggested accordion shutters as it is the only type they can get to work with a bay window like ours.
We were told they would build something out the depth of the bay window so the shutter could be mounted to pass in front of the window to properly protect it.
After waiting months for the shutters to be fabricated they came out to install. The one flat window went up easily but the crew did not know the other window was a bay window and had no knowledge of the method we were told would need to be installed to allow the new shutter to work.
After the installers told us they were unable to install the shutter at the bay window, the company tried to tell us that there was no bay window when they came to look which we proved incorrect by the communication records we have.
They next told us that we need to have someone else build what is needed to make the shutter installation work. We have no idea what that would be and neither does Shade Solutions since the could neither describe what is needed or build it themselves.
By hiring this company we would have had storm protection three weeks ago. Now we are stuck with no protection during the height of hurricane season.
I assume that Angie stands behind the firms they approve for the site. What can be done to make us whole?
Desired outcome: Storm protection be completed. The form should install what is necessary to install the shutter that has already been fabricated.
