Angies List review: Unsafe work for handicap person

I contacted Angie’s list about getting some stairs in about three places that they needed to be fixed because they are starting to show signs they needed to be fixed. A gentleman from a step above handyman services contacted me. He came out to the house and quoted me a price now I have no experience in woodworking. My husband was at work and he could not be here to make sure they did everything right. They done some work the first day and it looked horrible on my house that appraise is at $450,000. So my husband said absolutely not when I paid him. He told me not to tell his business partner what I paid them for their services the same day I gave him $2800 I cashed app half and wrote a check for the other it was taken to the bank and cash the same day. My husband has made multiple attempts to get him to come and fix this awful work he’s the manager or contractor. Why did he not come out and inspect his people‘s work? I had to call the. Home inspectors and get a report and he agreed that most of the work was terrible and some of it was unsafe we have reached out to him. I don’t know how many times and he keeps responding with the same messages and we’ve given him opportunity after opportunity to come and fix this. I want my money back and he can come and get his wood and I will find someone to do it safe safely. I had a stroke and this is the main reason this has to be fixed because it can cause me to get hurt. I have had to miss several days of work just to sit and wait to see if he comes.
