RYAN MACLEOD is exceptionally good. Initial visit was for an estimate for replacing our furnace. He provided us with the estimated cost with 3 choices. He cooperated with our insurance claim, which just dragged forever. Since the temperature was dropping, we decided to go on with the job. The office personnel were nice and courteous when doing the scheduling. The schedule was set and the crew came on time and very respectful. The crew was great! They're professional and knowledgeable; and I'm impressed with the teamwork. Ryan exceeded my expectation. He came down to give the crew instructions regarding his recommended work to do. I say, I received a World Class Customer Service from these guys! I sure am going to recommend them...
April we had ASI install a new AC/Heater system which cost $16,000.September the AC stopped working on a Saturday evening .Unfortunately the weekend temps were a record breaking 115 degrees so the timing was bad for an AC problem.We called ASI Saturday and left all our information with their answering service.We called again 3 times on Sun and again on Mon.No one ever called us back.At one point we made phone contact with one of the ASI techs that was involved with the installation of our system and he said he would make some calls and get back to us.He never did.Our system is under a full parts and labor warranty and ASI advertises that they work weekends,holidays and evenings at no extra charge.I'm sure they were very busy with a county wide heat wave but there is absolutely no excuse for a ComplaintsBoard.com A+ rated business to just totally ignore our situation for 3 days.What good is a warranty if the business does not respond to honor it?

Please do not trust ASI. Their only mission is to find something to repair. If you call them for an A/C problem they will fix it and then tell you your water heater needs replacing, then your furnace and then your toilets. They come to your house to up-sell you, don't fall for it. I also hired them to find a slab leak - they charged me $385.00 then said 'no leaks' but after I hired a company to cut the concrete the leak was found by the back door. Then ASI lied and contradicted themselves and said they don't check for outside slab leaks. CANNOT TRUST!

We called an ASI plumber to have him install a new faucet on our kitchen sink. Upon arrival, he glanced at the faucet, then went outside to measure the water pressure on the pipe coming from the street to the house. Since we are located toward the bottom of a steep hill, of course the water pressure is very high but, unknown to him, we have a pressure reduction valve under the house. He then went to the water heater, noted that it was 11 years old, one year past its guarantee, opened an outlet, measured the pressure and did not completely close the outlet. We had not noticed this until after he had left; the enclosed area where the water heater was had flooded with about 2 inches of water. The next day, we received an estimate of $4366.91 to include installation of the valve, a new water heater and the installation of a new kitchen faucet supplied by us! The one star rating we are assigning him is really much too high.

Heat pump was shutting down intermittently after only heating the house a few degrees. I called another company that came out and said it was likely the computer board ($1200). This company said ASI White glove Guys had installed the unit six years ago, and that the board was covered by a ten year parts warranty. ASI came out and said it was a jumper wire. Tech pulled the wire out and placed it into different terminals. ASI charged me $350 for this. Days later same issue, heat pump fails after start up. Second ASI tech comes out, says I dont have heat strips to help start up on cold mornings. I asked why ASI would install the unit in a cold area without heat strips. He said he was going to go back to the shop to talk to his boss. Two hours later he returns and tells me I do actually have heat strips, and that the problem may be the filter being backed up. Tech changes the filter and the unit works. Next day same issue, no heat. Fourth ASI guy out to my house in three weeks (during Covid19) cant solve the problem, and will not consider the board as a problem. He returns to the shop to "do more research". Heat pump failed again this morning. One of the worst experiences I've had in thirty years living in San Diego. My wife thinks the guys in the commercial are creepy, I should have listened to her.

We just had a big plumbing problem with a leak in the slab in 2019. ASI did a great job fixing it! Our house was built in the 60's and has had multiple additions and remodels, so the plumbing circuitry is complicated to say the least. I have had good experiences with ASI in the past when we used them for our solar system and for new HVAC systems at both our own house and a rental house we own, so I called ASI for the slab leak. ASI sent their leak expert Tyler to our home to define the problem. He and the whole crew who then did the re-plumbing were excellent. They figured out our complicated water system and re-routed certain water lines to avoid tearing up any visible drywall. They explained everything and the bid was fair considering the time taken and the amount of work. We especially appreciated that they took their time to figure things out instead of tearing up our walls or floors to make it easier and faster for themselves. We really trust ASI and are glad we have a reliable, professional company that we can count on for Fair prices, honesty, and good work. They are my go to for HVAC and solar. Now also for plumbing! Thanks white glove guys (they wear shoe covers, and leave everything clean!) Update: in 12 we thought we might have a different leak, I called and Tyler returned (wearing a mask, and shoe covers) and in a few minutes checked things out with a special tool which proved there was no leak, and he said there was no charge for that. I have had the unit for 18 months and I've had multiple tenants rent my space and break their lease because it does not heat/cool the bedroom properly. I asked to utilize the customer satisfaction 3 year guarantee and schedule removal and I am being denied.

On 12/27, ASI replaced the condominium's HVAC Heat Pump that had a slow leak of refrigerant. Right away noticed the heating was insufficient and the technicians caused minor damages. Countless calls were placed and eventually countless service visits were made But the heating issue was never resolved. At the beginning of the warm weather season, the Air Conditioning was not draining correctly water soaked the ceiling above the bathroom multiple times. ASI has sent numerous technicians and plumbers. They all seem incapable resolving this issue too. The ceiling is soaked again. Their plumber was there just yesterday. Their emergency service has yet to show up again. There is mold growing in the ceiling and *** 's health it taxed even more by this whole ordeal.

my experience with the company has been a nightmare! i'd never recommend this company to anyone. i've had difficulty with the company getting back to me in a timely manner, in addition to not following up with calls or arriving within their given time slots (resulting in loss of income because i had to take time off to meet their service technician). ASI had installed the unit prior to my purchase of my home...the seller informed me, the unit was new and had a 3 year warranty. i've lived in my home for almost 3 years but the issues began shortly after moving in (approximately within 6 months). i've had issues with the air conditioning and heating. each time a tech came out, he would give me reasons and share they would try something (like restarting or flushing the system or checking for leaks or changing the filters, etc.) by going up on the roof or checking the unit within the closet in my home. after performing whatever they did, they would say it should work and if it persists, they might need to order an additional part to resolve the issue. on another visit, the tech replaced the filter because he said it might be causing the problem. the most recent occasion, the tech shared he could see from previous notes, they needed to bring another tech with him to perform a test and if it didn't work, they would look into ordering a new unit. i've repeatedly asked the owner to contact me but i've never received a call from him. i've also asked after all their visits, i wanted them to replace the unit but they just give me the runarounds and excuses. this last time, my heater wasn't putting out any heat so i called ASI and the answering service shared someone would be there between 3 and 6pm. i took time off work again but no one showed up or even bothered to contact me! i repeatedly called ASI only to have their service share someone tried to call or text me with no success. i told them i never received any contact from ASI...period!

ASI will give good service... if you can afford their prices. Had a water valve moved inside wall for a refrigerator installation. It took the serviceman approximately 2 hrs. The parts could not be more than $200.00. I was charged $1,820.00. I had been a good customer before this, they would check my heating and cooling system. But after this incident I will not be a customer any longer. There are plenty of heating/cooling/plumber companies in the San Diego area. Maybe one that doesn't spend as much on advertising, so to pass that cost onto its customers. So unless you don't care about how much a service like this will cost, and money is no object for you, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
