Bankers Life Took my 5000.00 no service, no refund!!

I opened a CD early, i/4/2011 in order to buy an annuity, from Bankers Life and... for 5000.00 3 days later I was rejected, I have been fighting for my 5000.00 back for days after days. Always get the run around that I have to wait 20 days for my check to clear. They told me today that my check cleared their bank on the 5th and I still have to wait the full 20 days, even though I didn't get any kind of service from them. They entered my house on false pretenses by using a vague acquaintance call for an appointment. In my opinion, they are scamming the elderly by doing this. I know what the 20 days are for! That is so they can combine my 5000.00 with hundreds of thousands more and get Very good interest on our money. I am a 73 year old widow, with a small inheritance last month, I need this money desperately! Can't fine the CEO's number or I would be on the phone with him or her. BEWARE OF CALLS TO GET INTO YOUR HOME BY BANKERS LIFE AND CASUALTY, YOU MAY BE SORRY!

As I understand it, the only way to get rejected for an annuity is if Bankers does not, in fact, receive your money. This happens if the institution that held your money before (in the CD) does not send the money to Bankers despite being asked to do so by the customer. Or if the check you give Bankers bounces.

I'd sure like to know what happened here, because this complaint sounds bogus to me.

Bankers Life Ripped off seniors bank acct

Bankers life and casualty stopped paying on her health care nursing home in june of 2010, now here it is jan 18 2011, and they are still debiting her acct.they dont stop drawing money even when they know they are not entitled to it . and unfortunatly then they say send us a letter and we will stop it.well *** if i did that to someone i would go to jail !how does a nursing home patient, whom has dementia and legally can`t sign a thing supposed to do this ? they should be responsible to their clients especially seniors .they said until she goes without treatment for 6 months then they can reinstate her policy . that is and cannot happen so i contacted the bbb and will see what happens.

This same exact thing happened to my mother. They did pay off the claim but then kept the policy open even though my mother has alzheimers & will never have a different diagnosis. They took 3 months of payments automatically out of her account after the policy was already paid! I complained & they said I needed to put it in writing that I wanted the payments to quit coming out of her account & finally got a letter that they have stopped it but then I get a bill in the mail! I faxed them a letter listing me as her POA (they have that info already too) & that we want this policy cancelled. I called to make sure they got the letter & they did but unfortunately I needed to SIGN it. I signed it but was told it could take up to 27 days for the policy to be cancelled. Needless to say I made it very clear that they will not be getting any more money from her! This had my blood boiling!

Bankers Life Lack of response to Medicare

Medicare-noridian has asked me to ask Bankers Life & Casualty Company, to write to them, mentioning that they are my supplementary health insurers. This is needed so that Medicare can than issue MSN (Medicare Summary Notices). Without these Bankers Life will not pay my claims. But they are the ones who must write to Medicare confirming and updating that they(Bankers Life)are my supplementary insurers.
Due to lack of co-operation from Bankers Life, my providers are now threatening to hand over the amount owing to them to collection agency. This means a lot of trouble for me. But Bankers Life are not co-operating

You should be collecting this insurance not trying to get a reimbursement. That is what Life Insurance is for term or no term.

Bankers Life Misleads people

I worked for Bankers Life & Casualty (aka. Bankers, Bankers Life)in Austin, TX. The premise is to get as many people per week into a career briefing. Recruiters are paid (100% commission)for how many people they get into the group interviews. $10 - $15 per show to interview. There is no base pay, no health benefits, no PTO, no vacation, and no paid training.Recruiters list off management positions but even if you have supervisory skills, you will only be contracted for the insurance sales agent position. You will start from the bottom.Don't waste you time or money. There is a $100 administration fee (this helps get the recruiters paid), license fees $250 for a permanent, $150 for a temporary. At the end of 90 days, one still has to pay for the $250 permanent license. The test to get the license to solicit theirinsurance products is $70-each time you have to take it, and there is a $50 finger print fee.All takes place in three interviews and about $500 out of your pocket.

I may have opinions about the company, but I am thankful I worked there for almost 7 years. I left because I saw the writing on the wall. It is hard, but isn't every six figure income opportunity? 1st year=$49, 000/ 2nd year=$89, 000/ 3rd year=$125, 000 and so on. So it costs $500 to start seems worth it to me. Well maybe not today and with the state of Conseco and all the problems Bankers has had. I am glad I was there for awhile and it helped me in what I do now over $250K Work hard, play hard, enjoy it!

I do not wish to appear delinquent in my payment. Please correct this error and advise me that this situation is being taken care of properly now.

Bankers Life Dishonest

This company has very sleezy and dishonest practices. They are not at all honest two you during the interviews. Only after you have given them hundreds of dollars does the truth about their practices come out. And if you leave the company they will send a collection agency after you to pay back whatever you earned in commission. I speak from experience. I learned the hard way that Bankers Life and Casualty is a scam and a crook company. I don't even now how they are allowed to do business in the state of New Jersey. Stay away from these thieves, please.

Bankers Life Wrongful Termination

Wrongfully terminated in 2005 after 26 years of service!
Company officiers lied to me about their complaints committing fraud among other charges as they conspired with employees of the Maine Attorney Generla's office and the Maine Bureau of Insurance! They are the ultimate ###! It would be a mistake to work for them or certainly to consider buying their products. See my attched letter of May 31, 2010 if Complaints Board is able to post it.

Bankers Life Bankers Life an Casualty

This company got into the Michigan Works Talent Bank after they had been RED FLAGGED and DEACTIVATED by the State of Michigan Talent Bank due to numerous complaints about interviewing, hiring, illegal employment practices, and scams pulled on their senior citizens insurance policies. Bankers Life and Casualty is getting informati0n about job seekers getting into the Talent Bank somehow and are being investigated as I write this. BEWARE! I responded 2x by email, 1x by voicemail to cancel my interview and never contact me again. The Michigan Talent Bank told me DO NOT GO TO THAT INTERVIEW! This company still called me to remind me to come to interview and I again told them I was not coming and to never contact me again. The Talent Bank told me they WILL find out how Bankers Life and Casualty is getting confidential information on Michigan job seekers when they have been denied access to the site, calling on the Attorney General's Office to stop them if necessary. DO NOT accept interviews, HANG UP on them...Report them if you are on a Talent Bank sytem.

I was asked to come to an interview with Bankers. I have never done commission sales, and I'm sure it will be slow at first but is this company really fraudulent? I have a decent job with benefits just looking for a change, I need a career where I can get paid to do what I love which is helping people. /CONFUSED/

Spooky you don't get out much. Bankers has THEE worst commission rate in the industry and they have poor quality products. I'm glad you're making a good living, but you cannot be making a fantastic living be cause we all know what Bankers pays and how their products keep getting replaced with other companies that offer better coverage and much lower rates. It's a fact plain and simple. I've hired many Bankers agents who cannot believe how much better they are doing with other companies.

Bankers is a great company to work for. It has changed my life. The company offers products our seniors need. I believe in every product they offer wholeheartedly and have recommended them to my own parents. Those of you posting negative comments about working for this company are lazy and were unsuccessful because you did not put the work in that is required. Nothing is handed to you. Bankers offers a great career while helping the most vulnerable, our seniors! I was taught from the first day of trianing that the senior population is too be respected and that they are responsible for making our Nation as great as it. anyone who says differently is lying.

Bankers has the best., I will say it again, the best commission rate in the industry. That is how they attract quality individuals. The company wants winners. Winners expect to be paid more for their efforts. Obviously you have not been employed in the insurance industry before. What other company rewards effort, compliance, and personality more. What other career could you be in, where having a Master's degree or High School diploma matters little. All that matters is that you have a passion for helping seniors and doing the right thing!

Someone at work told me these comments were being posted about BANKERS. I read some of them and then went to bed; however, I could not sleep thinking about what was being said. These are LIES. I was also scared and had never even considered a career in commission sales never mind insurance. Let’s face it insurance salespeople have TERRIBLE REPUTATION. I can tell you this; I made it very clear I would never be a car salesman to my Manager. He assured me I would never be expected to act like a "sales person" and I never have, not one day. I have made A FANTASTIC LIVING WORKING FOR BANKERS and have never questioned my ethics which is more than I can say for another company I have worked for. And I can honestly swear that I have worked for a few companies in the past that have influence every one of your lives. I would say to him that if he has a passion to help seniors and he is dedicated to making himself a success he should go for it. It takes very hard work, self discipline and trust in one’s self. Yes it is slow to begin with which can make or break a new agent. I can't even tell you how scared I was or how little I knew of the Company, but I saw the passion in my Managers and co-workers eyes and I knew I had finally found my place. I go to bed every night feeling great knowing I helped a member of my community. I love the elderly and for me there is no greater reward; however, I have always been a single mom and now I can finally support my child by myself. It no longer matters whether my ex pays child support. Thanks to Bankers I can do it on my own. I have a Master’s degree and know what it is like to struggle and thanks to Bankers and my hard work and passion it has finally paid off. If he is passionate about what he is doing, works hard and does not give up he and his family will be rewarded. I make more money than I ever thought possible while doing a great service. What more could you want!

Bankers Life Lied to me tried to exhort money

In April 2010 Bankers Life Agent talked me into converting a long term policy into a home care/life policy. He had me make out a check for $221 and Bankers Life deducted from my checking account $219 the amount on the old policy I made these two payments in April, the Agent swore up and down I would not have to make a payment in May, they stole the May payment out of my account anyway I had to cancel my checking account to prevent any more theft. I never received the New Policy. They never returned my money.

If a policy has been approved money is never "returned" especially if you cancelled it when it was approved.
The only time it is returned is if you were declined for medical reasons or if you withdrew the policy (cancelled policy before the approval date, which is usually in the first 30-45 days)

I am sorry you had a rought time. Some agents can give a bad name to the entire insurance industry

**note'** I don't work for Bankers life or have any affiliation with them in an way shape or form. I do work for another insurance company though

Again, I apologize for your unsavory taste in your mouth, I wish that all agents were more ethical

Bankers Life Lies and more lies

For those who are thinking of joining Bankers Life and Casualty as either an agent or as a client I need to put you on RED ALERT.

This company is not what they say and is all talk and no action.

After 13 years of management I hit a crossroads in my life. BLC called on me for a "new and exciting career that would allow you live the lifestyle you always dreamed of." I was suckered in. I never wanted to make $100000 a year. I just wanted to make a decent living to maintain the lifestyle that I had. If I worked up to 100+K a year great!

After signing the paperwork to start was when it all started going downhill. As a new agent you have to give up 20% of your commission to the office to help pay for "leads". 20%! At first I didn't worry. We were all told that the average commission was $500 and that the "average" agent sold 8 policies a month. I'm thinking no problem. HA. The reality is that the "leads" we bought were recycled leads (people who responded to BLC mailers and either couldn't be reached, had already been seen, didn't qualify for anything and sometimes already purchased a policy). Sometimes the leads didn't even have a phone number, which meant having to drive to their house and door knock them or send them a letter. All of course out of our pocket financially. Sometimes we were just given a list of what was called Non-Responders. These were folks who didn't respond to the mailer and we were to call on them to set the appointment. The majority of these folks didn't respond due to being on Medicaid or they were to sick to get anything with BLC even if they wanted to.

If you were able to sell anything it usually was for much less than the $500 a policy that was "average". It was also very apparent that policies were canceled much more than expected. When this happened we were charged the full amount of commission that was given INCLUDING the 20% that was taken away to help pay for "leads". So, if I sold a policy and received $1000 for the policy I in reality on received $800. If it was canceled, I would have to pay BLC back $1000. This in turn caused me to then sell $1200 in commission just to break even again. More often than not we were working for free at BLC.

That is just the agent side of it. If you were a client it was even worse. I didn't file many claims but the ones that I did were a nightmare for me. The very first claim I filed on behalf of a client was for a Home Health Care plan. BLC will not even look at a claim for 30 days! On day 55 I got an ear full from both of the children as to why a decision was not made either way and I turned it over to the Branch Mgr. It took another 10 days before they finally decided to take care of the client. 65 days! How would it make you feel to see your parent/grandparent suffer for 65 days before the checks started to come in?

Another client filed a claim on her Home Health Care plan for installation of a ramp to her home. The claim was sent in on December 2nd. I called on January 2nd to see if there was an update. Nothing. I called again on February 2nd. Nothing. I called on February 16th. Nothing. I then turned it over to the Branch Mgr again for him to call. March 2nd. Nothing. She finally received word that BLC would pay the claim around April 2nd. 120 DAYS!

Everything takes 7-10 business days before they would even look at it. I, as an agent, would follow up on the 7th day and usually heard the following, "the person to look at this hasn't. I'll send this up to escalation. Please call back in (you guessed it) 7-10 business days." Again, I'd call on day 7 (some 3 weeks by the calender) only to hear that it needed to be sent to escalation AGAIN!

When the Branch Mgr was asked about this his response was simply that claims/resolutions take time and we have to be patient. Easy for the Branch Manager. He is/was not the one getting his head ripped off.

I have more stories and nightmares to share but these are more than enough to scare the Hell out of anyone.

With all that being said. Do not, under any circumstance let any Bankers Life and Casualty person tell you that they are a great company to work for or to entrust them with your well being. You will only regret it in the long run. If I can save just one person with this blog it was well worth the time.

When something sounds to good to be true is because it properly is. I'm a college student and when I heard about this job at first I was really excited, the only thing through my mind was 'omfg i could pay my college tuition' but when i researched this company and read so many complaints from both clients and former employees it changed my mind. I choose being job less than working in a company where i will only suffer instead of gaining

My wife moved from Assisted Living to a Nursing Home on July 16, 2010. When the check hadn't arrived, I called and emailed the Branch Manager. He said someone in their home office had called the nursing home and requested documents, but no answer had ever been received. The nursing home had no record of any such phone call, and of course would not send out such documents without a request by fax or mail. I finally got a list of the three documentations they needed, and had them faxed to Bankers Life on Sept 3, 2010. They have been telling me one lie after another ever since. Here it is the 22nd of October and they have not paid for the last half of July, all of August, and all of September. They have this cute way of back dating things to make it appear that they handle things efficiently. I recently received a letter from them dated 21 days earlier. Mail normally reaches me from Chicago in 4 days maximum. If you have a choice, avoid this bunch of cr0oks completely, please be forwarned.

Bankers Life Be careful

I have been trying to file a claim with Banker's Life Long Term care for my 91 YO mother for over 6 months. In that time I have received excuse after excuse for not receiving payment. Of course its always MY fault. Each time and each step requires 30 days and then another 30 days. Checks were sent (per their information) and yet I have not seen even one. It will now take an additional 30 days to reprocess the checks, and now they want an additional evaluation, another 30 days and she has to continue to pay the premium. It is very apparent that this company has devised a way of slowing the process down in order for the elderly to pass away. And then of course they will NOT have to pay a penny. This company looks more and more like they prey upon the elderly for gain and then when these old folks need the help it is simply not there. There is nothing I can or will say about this company that would convince me to use their services or to recommend them to anyone that is considering long term care insurance. Scam at best, and fraud as worst. Maybe the latter. A letter will be sent to the insurance fraud office of Colorado.

I have been working through claims to get my moms assisted living paid for. She was admitted June 4th. I was told she must complete a 90 day at home health assessment before entry into assisted living. She received care for 6 months. When I submitted the documentation and notes I was told it had to be 90 visits not 90 days in service. So my poor dad has paid 2 months out of pocket and about to be pay a 3rd month. They wont reimburse for June and half of July because she didn't meet the 90 day requirements. I have never been so upset to the point of an ulcer with any company in my life the way I am with bankers Life. If anyone you know bought a long term health care plan, please advise them to cancel it before they are too invested. it has turned out to be useless after 20 years of payments.

I was given the incorrect information about my policy #. Banker's Life could not find it and gave me the run around for 2 weeks. I also found out that BL will not release money to a family member that cared for her father. He died in 2011 and they have yet to release the funds to her as she is the beneficiary. I cancelled all of my policies today and asked that my account not be debited.

Bankers Life Checks in the mail

I was so delighted at first setting up my elderly mothers annuity plan and life insurance, then the mistakes started happening, the checks didnt come as planned it took 3 months for the payments to begin, and then I got 2 at a time, not knowing one was the real check and one had a different account on it. Thank God I didnt cash them. Once the mystery of the double checks were solved and the income annuity was coming in, I talked my brother into joining and setting up an income annuity for himself, he is in the enstages of COPD, his checks never did come in, he demanded his money back and got it, (lucky him). Now that mom is very ill and is not going to be with us much longer I need more money to pay for a facility. On the 6th of April, I signed papers to cash in one policy, and change my address, by the 20th of April the Annuity Dept got my paperwork, (yeah in this day and age of electronic transmissions you would think it would have gone faster than the ponyexpress) I was promised that I would get paid by the 17th of May. So I waited... On the 18th of May I started calling, it didnt help that my agent would not return my calls so I felt I was in it alone. Finally when my agent did answer his phone, he said he would call in the morning, the next day I found out that the check was issued to my old address, so the post office returned the check to the company, not sure why they didnt forward the check to my new address everything else was forwarded, the annuity dept had the correct address on the paperwork submitted yet they still sent the check in the amount of $25, 000 to the wrong address, such incompetence! Now after my 5th call to the annuity dept I was told it was still in process of being reissued and would not be sent out until Monday. When my mom passes I will pull whats left of her money out and reinvest it into savings bonds it my take longer to mature but by God I know where they are. I would not recommend Bankers to my enemies much less to anyone who is looking for a secure future.

Banker Life has to be the worst ever, when trying to file a claim for my 91 year old Mother who had been paying her Policy for 25 years, I was told they woulden't cover her assisted living cost because in 1989 when she took out the policy there was no such wording, Nursing home only. After fighting with them for over 6 months, we finally got them the start paying for her care. But they said her LONG TERM CARE POLICY would only be covered for 3 yrs total., and not one penny more. So had to fight with them every single month to get a check, they kept adding on, saying they needed more information, It was something different every single month. Soooo here it is the last month of her 3rd year, and they sent me a letter saying they once again needed more information once again. So I had the director from the assisted living call them (they were on speaker so I could hear) they said they tried making contac numerous times and were unsucessful, ( which was a lie) and they would process mothers check and it would be 8 - 10 working day before we would get it. The director asked if there was any thing futher they needed, and they said no they had everything they needed to process the claim. TODAY (10 days later) I get another letter saying they needed futher information in order to process the claim. They are terrible, trying to keep monies from a elderly person, that she is due. The worst service EVER, they have been a nightmare from day one. PLEASE NEVER TAKE OUT ANY KIND of service from them, you will be sorry!

Bankers Life Unethical treatment of agents

I was an agent with Bankers Life. My income was restricted by the new Branch manager through control of leads I paid for and assignment of agents to me.
I resigned.
This is an office of 7 to 15 agents. In the past year this office has gone through over 30 agents and three managers.
Bankers is aware of the financial situation they placed me in.
I live in Kentucky so they are filed a law suit against me in Chicago knowing I could not afford a lawyer or the constant trip to Chicago as a result of my association with them.
The suit is base on the fact that this same branch mangager is stating that a client said that an agent said that I told them to stop by.
I am an easy target.
Can anyone help?

I guess you are in Bowling Green and didn't they have to fire their managers for bad practice. I would not take this lying down. I will help if I can. I also am an ex agent from this company and they are trying to get money from all of us for policies that were cancelled after we quit (supposedly!)

I have witnessed clients being ignored and deceived with managers having full knowlege of it and them doing nothing to stop it or fix it. This is a low rate company!

Stay as far away from that company as possible. Inside Edition will air a report June 11, 2010 showing High Level managers training agents to deceive clients. This high levelguy is a Regional Vice President with the company. Nice leadership Bankers...

Let me guess... you reported to Scott Bogdon. Am I correct? Which KY office were you in? What percentage were you contributing toward to nonexistant leads?

Bankers Life Lies and Deceit

I worked for Bankers for a little over 6 months. During that time I was promised leads, training, and a mentor. What a bunch of crap. The training was on my time with my family (weekends). My mentor had only been an agent for 4 months. And the leads were given out in a favoritism type of manner. I had 20% of all my commissions taken for leads and when I wrote policies on people who I found on my own with no help from leads, 20% was still taken. The most horrible thing was that if the policy was canceled for any reason and the money was taken back from me, I did not get back the 20%. The only thing that ever mattered to management was that we make a sale and it didn't matter how we did it. Forceful selling tactics are nothing to this company, they are a way of life. I have numerous bankers policies and when the one year is up where I can not get charged back for the commissions, I will be canceling each of them. I have read some of the other complaints and have seen everything they mention from the hiring tactics to not paying on a claim because of some loop hole they come up with. Their products are not even competitive in the market, they are higher priced than most others out there. Do yourself a favor and find a reputable company to get your insurance needs satisfied through.

"During this time i was promised leads". Yes, leads that you paid for and never got. This is why the managers get to the office early in the morning. To take whatever good leads there are for themselves and give the agents that ones that are aged (30, 60, 90 days or how about the "high potential leads" that have been sitting around the office forever). These agencies that represent Bankers Life and Casualty under various names, and take addidtional money out of the agents pockets also need to be closely looked at. They use the money for office parties, money drawa at meetings, trip to the gambling joints, conventions for the greedy and more. If you're new to the business, you won't be able to detect what is really going on! Prospective Agents, Beward!

Bankers Life Can't get money back

We've been trying for 4 months to cash in an annuity. My father had to go into a nursing home about 5 months ago. He had nursing home insurance with Bankers Life, but found it would pay very little, wasn't as we were told. We haven't seen a penny from it, don't expect to. We had to apply for Medicaid to pay for his nursing home care. To do so all assets for that person have to be cashed in. We had little trouble with other companies, but Bankers has given us the run- a- round with the annuity. An agent visited the home, filled out forms, called the company to see if they had everything needed. He said the check would be sent in a couple of weeks. That was over 3 months ago. We've called & e-mailed the company over & over to no avail. They always have some excuse, or transfer us elsewhere. Some have been downright rude, others have just lied. We've had to pay out at least $18, 000 so far in nursing home costs we would not have had to pay if we hadn't had the annuity. The Medicaid social worker told us she sees this sort of situation with Bankers all the time. If this continues we could be bankrupted as a result of doing business with Bankers. Now they're telling us the check was mailed 8 or 9 days ago. It still hasn't arrived. Today a rep told us it'll come, often takes that long. That's strange as we're about 500 miles from the home office.

My resume got pulled from Careerbuilder and this recruiter called about a position that had nothing to do with the IT jobs I was looking for but being as I was out of work I thought why not see what they have to offer. I asked the recruiter if the job paid benefits and he said it did. He wanted to schedule an interview but said it had to be this one day only, which was a pain because I had an interview scheduled in another state the day before. But I decided to go, so I came back the night before.

When I arrived at the interview site they emailed me. It was an old building and an old bankers life sign was above the door. I walked up the stairs to the interview site and too my surprise the offices were completely empty. A woman and a man were sitting behind one of those rented tables that fold out and they had a paper table cloth that said Bankers Life it. The woman asked me for my hard copy resume and then gave me a piece of paper to fill out.
Just walking into this setting made me feel like this was not right. So I asked the woman isn't Bankers life a big company and she said it was but they were just moving into the area. (Now the sign outside the building door was old, so this was another disconnect). But I went in to fill out the paper work she gave me, and looked at her handouts. I asked is this where the interview was being held, and she said this was just a 1st round interview and it was a group session about the opportunities at the company.

There was another room set up with 20 or so chairs, and a video player. The woman came in and started to talk about the company. Several other people came in, and this one woman was like me a bit surprised at the room setting and the fact that she had been told like me it was an interview for a management position.

Then I looked at the handouts she gave us, and saw they were looking to hire sales agents. But the information appeared to say you would be a contractor for them, and you would have to sign a contract and pay them to work for them. (supposedly for license fees to be an insurance agent in the state of Maryland). At this point I came to the conclusion that this was a real scam. No legitimate business would be asking potential employees for money on the 1st interview.

I got up and asked for my resume back, the woman insisted I give her back the handouts that had her name and information on it and the company name. I guess so I wouldn't have any evidence to give the police. I left feeling violated, and also lied to by whoever it was that called me.

When I got home and searched the internet, and sure enough there were other similar instances reported, where people had gone to successive interviews and each one they were asked for more and more money. Some reported up to $600.00.

If you get a call like this, I suggest you do not go to the interviews no matter how desperate for work you are.

Bankers Life phone, email job interview scam

I have a resume posted on Career Builder and eceived an unsolicited call regarding a job "interview" from Bankers Life and Casualty Company (email below). When I inquired about the position descrption, I was told to go to www.bankers.com where I was immediately put through to Conseco Recruiting. This is a scam. They have no position. Please stop them!

I just got an e-mail from this company as well. They ..."read my resume on monster.com and decided I was an excellent cadidate for thier company" Mind you, I have spent twenty years as a contractor painter; and in between that I soent 5 years as a line supervisor at a wall board factory. How that equates into selling insurance is beyond me. If they are that hard up to get employees, something is definately wrong.

I just recevied a phone call from Alicia at Banker's life, phone number [protected]. She asked if I would be interested in a Career Briefing next Monday to get to know the company and find out if I was interested in a career with them. She said the times were at 10am and 2pm. Seemed fishy to me so I got her info and told her I'd call her back. You can't be too careful these days.

Hello all

I just received a call from this organization called Bankers.com and they told me about the company and then told me about a position they are offering based on my resume that they pulled from Yahoo Jobs . The representative told me they are looking for motivated individuals to fill these positions I did not ask what positions they were. I felt something was not right but let her tell me that I would have to go out to Middleburg Hts, Ohio for an interview for the positions that are open. I told her that I did not have transportation to get out there and she insisted that she will send a confirmation email for the interview that was scheduled for 3 pm the next day . So I agreed so I can get her off the line and checked them out online and the first search that showed up was Bankers.com scams. So be aware and read the other complaints -they will ask you for money to take the training courses for the sales positions when you go to the interview . I am sure I wont be going based on what I read.

The other comments listed here are B.S. re: "I work with Bankers life...I too posted a resume on career builder and rec'd a call from a solicitor...if you look them up further, you will see that they rec'd citations for calling people registered on "Do Not Call" lists...please note, they called my home phone number which was NOT listed on my resume...when I questioned the man further, stating that this was not a legitamate call re: no where in my resume do I have "banking" experience, why would your "supervisor" want you to call about my resume and why would you call my "home number NOT listed on my resume"? He was flustered and said " if you are not interested, it is OK" and hung up., ...it isn't his fault (I guess) but seriously, it is tough enough having lost a job and seeking a new one...why do people need to "prey" on others...if they call again...I will mention the "citations"...and I will pursue further action...thanks for posting your original and let's hope others learn from our experiences...
