Beauti Control Charging me and my customers tax on shipping

Beauticontrol has charged my in these steps purchase total, then shipping and handling, and then taxing this total which is illegal in Iowa. I found out they cannot tax on shipping and it is illegal. Then a Director Saralynn Ostwinkle charged my customer unreasonalbe shipping charges then taxed my customer after total of shipping and my customers and I want this money refunded to us.

Sincerely,

Mary Hanson

eamil: [protected]@aol.com or phone: Tim [protected]

Grateful for your assistance with this unfair, business practice. It is illegal in Iowa. Other direct sales companies are aware of this. Beauticontrol has been made aware and refuses to refund our money.

Beauti Control Bonnie Corbeil, unhygienic representative

This representative was very unhygienic with attempts to sell this company's product, going from door to door around our quiet and peaceful neighborhood. She was aggressively manic, and I had to slam my door right away and call the cops. She luckily left before they got here, but I wanted to let anyone know that from this company, she is not the representative to purchase from.

Beauti Control Bonnie Corbeil, lies regarding product

This purchaser of some of BeautiControl products, name Bonnie Corbeil, tried very aggressively to sell her old and used skin care from what looked like door-to-door sales. Although well aware of this company and their entire market based around a pyramid scheme structure, she still tried to convince me that her entire basket of opened facial products were somehow legitimate. She had a gritty, rude undertone immediately after her poorly trained introduction speech when I refused to believe her lies. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear this girl was bi-polar, with an artificially done speech in the beginning, to an almost yelling, attacking voice at the end that I ended up having to slam my door on her face with. Very annoying, best to not even question or inquire about her story, you'll end up regretting it.
All of her products were being sold on Amazon and Ebay for nearly half the price, but these are at least unopened and unused.

This just simply never happened. Beauticontrol consultants do not go door to door and no one would be stupid enough to try and sell opened products. This person was just being a troll

I signed up to be a Beauticontrol consultant after a friend/consultants spa party given at her house by her. I purchased make-up before I recieved my kit. After using the eye-shadow my eyes became red, swollen, irritated, peeled and swollen. I could not wear "any" make-up for a month. I am sensitive to other make-up lines, but still let her know "because" I...

Beauti Control scam

We were invited to one spa evening to experience relaxation and relieve stress. Never, never did the consultant mention it was to sign up people to sell Beauti Control Products. We ordered
what she told us was the best deal. Now we are receiving continuous e-mails from other directors
about selling.

They told us to attend a meeting to receive the rest of our order of $125. Then they state that we
will not receive our order until after our attendence at these sales meetings. This is a SCAM.
We feel we have really been taken advantage of and scammmed.

I agree...complete deception about the kit. I'm a consultant for another non-skin care company and I'm no dummy. My friends and I had no idea we were signing up to be a consultant. The e-mails and phone calls were out of control until I finally got them stopped. I won't even use their products due to the deception and yes this person is stil a consultant and advertises her trips and new car.

I went to a Beauticontrol party for the first time. LOVED the products, understood the facial kit and how the BONUS GIFT worked if I purchased the membership kit. Just had to go to the two hour class and get the $125 gift free! Did it- been using the products and my skin looks amazing! No scams to me. Just ask questions and listen to what the membership kit means. It is worth it!

Some consultants are blood thirsty for personal gain. I like some of the products, however they are greatly over priced. I joined Beauticontrol to be a Consultant, and was nagged to death to go to the big bash in Texas. This was a week before 911. Anyway, the trip to Texas was a total turn off to me, and I decided that I didn't want to be the kind of person that nags people to death to join and sell. They had Dr. Phil there as an inspirational speaker to be a good salesman. This was stupid. He told us about a buddy of his that had nothing to do with being a motivation to me. Women who were up the scale in salesmen turned me off on their advice on how to sell. The trip to Texas changed my mind about being a consultant. Then, one year I was at a meeting and our director told us that after Christmas was a great time to sell because people usually received money as gifts at Christmastime. She said, "You have as much right to that money as anyone else!' They lady that signed me up kept sending me a prayer called Jabez and told me to always pray the Jabez prayer as it would help me. This woman was constantly after me to lose weight and she would roll her little beady eyes up and down my body as though I couldn't see her through her sun glasses. Beauticontro is not a scam, but many of the saleswoman are greedy people. I basically got tired of having the hell nagged out of me! Now, after five years I have managed to pay my credit card off, and I pay cash for AVON and it's swell stuff. I still buy Beauticontrol mascara and a few odds and ends. I spend very little for Beauticontrol. I have found some swell deals at garage sales. Try Avon and good name brands in the stores. It all comes from the same vat...

beauticontrol is not a scam
it is a company with awesome products that really work
the instant facelift kit is amazing, really does work, and right away- not after many weeks but right away!
like any business where people work in sales, some are good and some not so much... the consultant is what she is, either a good person who is honest and straight forward or a dishonest person who tries to further herself by taking advantage of others

you can't judge them all by the actions of one

I disagree with the complaint as well as greg14228. I'm a Beauticontrol consultant and I KNOW we all have a fair chance of earning free trips, a car and significant income. I'M LIVING IT! You should check out my jewelry box and closet for all the stuff I've received from Beauticontrol. It's an amazing company!

I've used BeautiControl for two years now. I've had two consultants and they're both honest and know the product really well. I love BeautiControl products and I will continue to use them. I've seen really good results. It depends on who your consultant is. You should get to know them before you trust them.

maybe your consultant didn't explain that like anything you have to work toward those rewards. you do have a fari chance of earning free trips but it all depends on how you work it. now, she propbably didn't explain that well. However you need to be careful how you throw the word scam around. And did you read things before you decided to just join something? Sorry to be frank but maybe reading before you sign would be a good idea instead of blaming a company for dishonesty.

Whether or not Beauticontrol is a scam depends on the angle from which you view it. If you become a Beauticontrol consultant under the idea that you have a fair chance of earning free trips, a Mustang, and significant income, then YES, its a scam.
If you join Beauticontrol in the hopes of starting a new hobby and maybe making a little extra cash on the side, then you may enjoy it.

It all depends on what you are looking for, and what you are told.

BeautiControl is not a Scam. The remainder of the products that you receive IF you go to BeautiU is a BONUS! This is BeautiControls way of THANKING YOU for attending the ONE day class. 90% of the class is only there because they too wanted to get the BEST deal and continue getting discounts on the products.

As for getting e-mails. When you sign up.. you are "considered" a consultant. There are three types of people that do sign up to become one.

First being the SMART SHOPPER= loves the best deals and wants to continue to get products for a discounted price

Secondly is the person who joins to get there products for discounted prices as well as sell to just family and friends. This person gets her/his products paid by selling to her F&F's.

The Third person is a person whom signs up to make a living out of it. They do on average 2 Spa's a week. They make AWESOME money and can earn free trips, jewelry as well as a FREE MUSTANG! (title and all)

With those three people you ARE in a Unit. So yes, the e-mails that the director sends out to ALL her/his team is sent to EVERY ONE of them in bulk. So when he/she is sending these e-mails out it is to all the team and she/he is giving them challenges and what not. This is not to push anyone whom is in it for just the products. It is for the Consultants WORKING THE BUSINESS.

I just wanted to let any one and every one that reads these mislead letters that NOT all BeautiControl or any other salesman are crooked, but yes some are unfortunately. But please do not make a assumption about a company or product by one consultant.

Thanks and God Bless!

Beauti Control Total scam

I hosted a 'spa party' at my house. Hayley Skladanek was the BeautiControl consultant there. Party was great. However, I started getting complaints from the people at my party about their orders. Apparently, Hayley had signed two of the girls up to be consultants without their knowledge. The two girls were bombarded with phone calls and emails on how to be a BeautiControl Consultants for weeks. It took them 4 weeks to get their refund.

Hayley cashed all of our checks before submitting the orders and she would give us our refunds. I ordered a MicroDerm Abrasion skin set that came with a brush for your face. When I received my order, the brush was used!

I confronted her and she called me a drunk. She has yet to give all the refunds and orders to several other girls. I called BeautiControl and they have not done anything to reprimand her. In fact they claim that they are merely a supplier to the consultants and furthermore, these consultants do not have follow their return policy. I have filed a complaint against them for misrepresentation. These independent consultants come into our homes and give us their sale's pitch on what Beauticontrol is and how they honor the 30 days money back guarantee. Yet, they are enforced to do so.

I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commision for redistributing use personal hygiene products which could potential spread diseases. Do not order any from Hayley or BeautiControl.

There are good and bad consultants...and each company has products that may work for some...better than for others...I find it awful that some have way TOO much time on their hands to keep sending around the same complaint...doesn't matter if it's about a consultant OR a product.
Deal with it and get on with your life...life is too short to spend it just complaining!

You must be an awfully miserable person, or a scam... 610 pages of negative reviews? How is that even possible? Who would take the time to complain that much?

I was searching reviews because I ordered a bunch of BeautiControl product that the consultant didn't have on hand for me to sample so I wanted to see what people were saying. In my experience, there was no hard sales tactics or pressure to my guests to host a party. She just joked around with us, we played games, she gave a few treatments to guests. It was a great time and the product that I tried, I really liked. She briefly mentioned that if guests are interested in becoming a consultant, you can enjoy the benefit of the discount with no pressure to sell in high volume. Overall, I was pleased and so were my guests. Some people just can never be pleased though.

I am a consultant and I have been for years. And whoever paid 650 dollars to sign up got scammed by the person that signed you up. As far as this issue with the consultant cashing the checks before you got your order she had to get her product. I tell my customers half up front that way I have their trust since they aren't getting the product plus they usually purchase more. You obvious didn't do your homework on the consultant and that's not the company's fault. They have a 30 day return policy you should of returned it. Yes that comes out of our own pocket. BeautiControl is an excellent company and you should give them another chance I would be more than happy to take anyone on as my client. My mom has been using their stuff for over 30 years she even sold it. I used it for 15 years and finally decided to and love it. I use to have horrible skin now I have great skin!

I am a new BC spa consultant. I can tell you that either you're a scam artist who wants free stuff or you all were drunk DURING the spa. BeautiControl is a legitimate company with legitimate spa girls. From other comments, I see you've been posting this for 7 years. It's about time you stop crying wolf and save the margaritas for AFTER the spa.

Im a beauticontrol consultant. For one she shoud have told you about it before having you sign aggreement on becoming one. She might have forgot to do so.When you sign up as a consultant you have 2 options 1 you can sell our products and have the oppertunity to make money..OR you can join just to get the discounted products for yourself instead of dealing with regular prices. Along u have to go to beautiYou training...you dont have to really pay attention if your not interested but the class is alot of fun along with putting on make-up and knowing more about the products and winning prizes! also u get the free MicroDerm Abrasion skin set for FREE so of course ur saving money on that so why wouldnt you go? plus when u host ur first spa party and get 250 dollars in sales you get 250 dollars worth the FREE products in the book. So those 2 right there are u earning free products plus getting discounts on anything you want. You will get emails from beauticontrol because beauticontrol is thinking that you are selling when you are not..so just ignore and delete if you dont plan on sellng these products. Simple as that. Plus if u want to stay in the consultant program you pay 100 dollars every 4 months. But you could sell a few products and there you go!...does this work for you now?. Another thing is if you ordered the MicroDerm Abrasion skin set ..did she give it to you out of "her" inventory or did she order it online? IF YOU WERE NOT HAPPY SHE SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT YOU A NEW ONE. Do NOT diss our company just because a consultant wasnt good at what she was doing and how she handled the situation. www.beautipage.com/rosebrejcha

I am totally floored at some of these comments regarding BeautiControl. 1st I want to say that BeautiControl does guarantee their products and if you are not satisfied they will either replace the product or refund your money. 2nd they do have a list of every single ingredient that are in their products, you can even type in whatever it is that you're allergic to or don't want in your product and it will bring up everything that has that particular ingredient in it. Then to the women that mentioned she bought the overnight cream and it was the one actually used at the party, why would you buy something that you knew had been used? As far as training and help, I also just joined BeautiControl and I also sell Scentsy but the training and guidance that I've received through BC has been wonderful and as someone else stated, you have to be motivated and sign up for the meetings and classes you can not expect someone to do it for you!
As for the original complaint I'm guessing that she did not sign these girls up without their knowledge because you have to have a social security # and signature of the person signing up and the forms are sent into BC's home office, she probably offered the startup kit that was either $125 or $99 depending if it was on sale and these girls wanted their products for cheaper. Just because you bought the startup kit and it classifies you as a consultant does not mean you have to sell the products, you can just purchase at a discount. That's what's great about BC is that they don't make you sell or do parties you can just sign up to get the discount that is offered to consultants! And I'm confused about the brush being used, my brush has been being used for 2-3 months and you can not tell at all and when she delivered your product why didn't you check it out right then and there? Also she HAS to cash the checks before ordering product duh! What was she supposed to pay outta her own pocket then take the chance of someone's check bouncing? No that would be absurd!
As far as any other complaints about the products, everyone has their opinion on how and what works best for them but it doesn't mean because you didn't like it or it didn't work for you that it won't do something different for someone else!

I bought the Regeneration overnight for almost $53 - $58 and I used it twice and it was empty. It was the same bottle the Rep used for the party. I love the product but I paid her and have sent her several emails with no response. Attaching someone that was ripped off like me doesn't promote the company it damages it even more. Word of mouth is a million words! I don't expect a company could be perfect but it would be nice to have the product I paid for.

I too tired to find a product list on the website as i was invited to a party this week and I am very careful about what i use on my skin. I do not believe in using toxins on my body. I found one person who is a consultant that said there products "are less toxic then some"...not very comforting... I think it is odd though that people bash each other on here.. it is about the company and the customer service.. it should not be about personal attacks.. just because you are a consultant does not mean the company can dono wrong... im sure some of these companies have good products and im sure some people may evenmake a few dollars... none of them are going to provide a true residual income or enough to support your self ... that is how mlm's work... first one in wins and everyone else loses... that does not mean they are illegal or have bad products ... just means they are not a great way to support onesself...also.. i suggest checking the cosmetic safety data base before buying form companies like avon and arbonne... they often make safety claims about their products that just arent true... and they are not always safe to use on your self or your children. We all need to be concerned consumers. And all companies should have a 100% satisfaction guarentee or there is a problem. If they dont stand behind their product ...obviously something is wrong...
