screening employee
I went to Biolife to donate this morning. The intake screener, who didn't have a name tag on but I believe is a manager, is always in a hurry. I've seen her there most days I've donated for the last 6 months or so, barking orders and always doing things very quickly. Today, she had to stick me twice because she did not fill the vial to complete the blood screen. Then she hurried through entering my numbers and said "you cannot donate today because while you were in range, your numbers were not entered correctly." Not "I entered them incorrectly." Evidently, once the numbers are entered, they cannot be changed, so because an employee is in too big of a hurry, the screening was completed incorrectly which caused me to be deferred for the day (and for the week since I'm not able to come back until next week). Very unprofessional in my opinion.
protein test wait time and horrible customer service
Donated last/gave sample April 30th Tried to donate May 4th, but sample had returned with low protien so I was deferred Gave new sample May 7th (the soonest they said I could) Was told to allow 7-10 days Called today and my levels were normal but I couldnt donate until May 21st at the earliest because a doctor has to sign off on it 14 days after 2nd sample...

On more than one occasion I have witnessed an employee disrespect coworkers in front of many donors on multiple occasions. The employee is a blonde female name tag reads Carissa. A coworker came up to Carissa in front of me and calmly asked her if she had done something in a different section, she very rudely yelled at the coworker in front of a new trainee. I have witnessed this particular employee verbally disrespect her coworkers in front of numerous donors and new employees on multiple occasions. While I am typing this complaint she has begun to loudly argue with a different coworker trying to calmly and professionally rectify the situation. She largely contributes to a very unprofessional and immature representative of your company.
staff/supervisor
05/14/2019 Hi. My name is Michael and I've been donating at Biolife in Joplin for about 2 months now. Today I went in and did the questionnaire, finger stick, temp check, etc. I got back to where I donate and sat down. A younger woman came over, stuck my left arm, and had obvious troubles with it (Mind you, my last donation, when they tried the left arm...

I have been to the same biolife plasma center three times and each time couldn't complete the process to donate first time "I hadn't eaten 2/3 hrs before"... second time "1 hadn't eaten no more than an hour before"?! third time ( i really have no idea why I even went back) I did all the blood work to make sure I qualify PASSED! did medical questions! " they want to send papers to my dr to make sure all is good! (for mental health reasons, lol) we will call you they said After 2 weeks no one called me to tell me I was in the all clear which I was... I called! So they have to resubmit papers for my Dr again and they never called me back...that third and final time I went they wasted 2hrs of my time and I still was unable to donate. HOW ARE YOU(biolife plasma) "in the business of saving lives" when I person who is willing to donate keeps getting turned away? just need an answer
redraw debacle
I flunked a 4 month protein test. I submitted a redraw on 5/7/19. I go in today to see if it's been signed off only to discover that I have to submit a 2nd redraw just because of a "shipping error". Now I have to wait another week.
Why should I lose a week's pay because of someone else's "error". I think Biolife corporate can just send me a check for $75 for this lost week.
This was at Tyler, Tx Biolife, 332 West Heritage Dr. Tyler, tx

service/donation
I am Corey Noble and I was being screened by a donor screener and was deferred for the day because of the screener's mistakes. The screener had dropped the tube after collecting a sample of my blood and had to stick another of my fingers. After he stuck the second finger he got red blood cells inside of the sample being tested and the machine rejected the sample. Then he apologized to me and said that he can not stick me again as per rules. So I asked if someone could over ride it because it was his mistake so he asked a girl that was screening also if it could be over ridden. She responded "nope." I left immediately afterwards upset and very disappointed.
I have been donating for 7 years and this had never happened to me before. This was very inconvenient for me because I paid someone money that I do not have to keep my children because one of them have a cold and I did not want to bring a sick baby to the center's daycare. I was counting on my todays donation(5.11.19). I could go on and on about why this set me back for the day but I know that you only want to know what happened in the incident. I am considering another company to go to for my donations now. The center is in McDonough Georgia.

My name is William Peterson. My email address is [protected]@gmail.com. I attempted to donate plasma at the Muncie, IN location on 3/6/2019. The person that did my screening was very rude. After the finger stick I asked for a band aid. In a rude tone she would give me one when she was done. When I asked why she said "because that's how we do things. She went into the back and got another employee who came up to the front and said in a rude manner that she needed to speak with me. At this point I left the facility and will not be returning nor will I recommend anyone go there. I am asking that my name be removed from your mailing list as all correspondence will be thrown in the trash. Thanks.
one of your nurses at the warner robins location on watson
I see that your nurses carry their selves very unprofessional outside of work. I veteran was ill approached at a bar here locally and this nurse is talking crudely towards others in the post that was brought to Facebook. Really surprised me at the words used and her undertones. I will not be back to donate if this is the professionalisms of the nurses on how they talk about our war veterans.
service
Unfortunately I was/am too sick to donate and was understandably turned away. Receive this email~ of your 'oops we didn't mean to send out that great incentive, just look at it as 'we are thinking about you' Really?! wow~ probably shoulda just honored that! Looks bad on your business! Yes my opinion.
Pls proceed to read the rest of the insights.
Your young manager of the work up station at the location off ambassador~ needs a recheck. I stood in line for 6 minutes before someone else even said the words "hello" ~ and yes she was one of 3 that ignored the rest of us. (Blonde short hair) not appreciated, that right there made me want to leave..
And the fact, that location~ is such a scatter brained mess. Very unprofessional. And the staff/nurses, could get ya further with a smile . That's for sure. Stood there for 10 minutes waiting because they lost my file.
Yeah ~ wasn't impressed sadly and this is too big of a disappointment for such a great! Opportunity~ to be able to help many many others, as well as your kind compensation. Keep up the good work.
new donor 2 hour wait just to be told it's too late to donate to come back another time
5/1/2019
5:55pm appointment
5:45pm arrival
I went to the BioLife Plasma Casselberry donation with a buddy referral to become a new donor. I had an appointment for 5:55pm. I signed into the sign in sheet and sat patiently waiting. People flooded into the clinic and started waiting directly at the desk for immediate help. Initially it seemed to be just for general questions but then I noticed other new donors coming in were actually skipping me in line from, as they were not calling in order of the sign in sheet. I got someone's attention by 6:20pm that I am a new donor and have not been helped. They started by chart. By 7:05pm I had finished the finger [censored] and intake questions and then had to wait for the nurse for a physical. At this time, I heard multiple employees complaining that their shift should have ended by 7 but they are still here obligated to help as the line was just not diminishing. There were 4 empty exam rooms but only 1 nurse on staff. I was in line for a physical behind 5 others who started getting very frustrated and 2 people ended up leaving. I thought well... the more the leave the faster I get in. One lady who said she was just going to come back to tomorrow was told that she would have to redo everything she did today, so I thought I didn't want to go through this again, I will just continue to wait. By the time I got into the exam room it was 7:40, the nurse informed me, it will be too late to donate at this time, I can either come back another time and do the physical and donation or I can do the physical and a "sample" today and come back for donation. I already waited all this time, so I opted for the physical and sample. The nurse was very slow and typed with 2 fingers as he inputted information, that was the slowest part of the physical. I got out of the physical at 7:55pm. We went to the donation stations and he was begging anyone there to just do a sample. The employee with fully booked station responded that he can sit me there (in an empty station) but she will have to wait. I waited about 10 minutes and saw as she was still attending about 8 other people and decided I cannot wait here any longer. I was very scared with the attitudes of the over worked staff that I didn't want them to be rushed on my sample and end up with a blown vein. I got my stuff and left. I got home by 8:45pm exhausted by this bad experience with no compensation. I will not go back there.
nurse connie at biolife maple grove, minnesota
Yesterday I went to Biolife Plasama Center in Maple Grove, Minnesota as a 1st time donor. I went through the process up the physical part where I was introduced to the Nurse named Connie. She began her interview. I found the woman to extremely rude. As she was asking for my medications it was like she had no idea of what some where. I had to spell them for her. She had a little note she had to look at. I had to explain what each medication was. Then as we got to the part about what surgeries I had it was like I was wasting he time. At one point she stopped in the middle of the interview to help another donor. In the middle of the surgeries I mentioned one surgery I had and she abruptly stopped looked and said i wish you would lend with that surgery. This was extremly demeaning to me. She then went on explain because of other surgeries i had in not such polite manner that she was denying from donating. That was the end of the interview.
I have enough problem with the surgies I have had because they ended my 20 yr career as Correctional Officer for the state of Minnesota. I did not need to feel the way I did when I was done with this woman. She has the bed side manner of a badger. I asked what happens with the referral form that had to give them that had recieved from a friend. She very snottly said you didn't donate they get nothing keep the form. This ended our interview.
I will not refer anyone to Biolife ever.
caught them again
This place needs to fix there lying ways .Every few times I go give plasma they will say your pulse is to high your iron is to high all bs . I went to my doctor right after they said my iron was to high and he checked it guess what in 30 min. my iron was fine . Two weeks before they said my pulse was to high I drove a couple a miles to see my nurse sister...
Read full review of BioLife Plasma Services and 2 commentsbolingbrook il location treated me like I was in a police station.
A male manager at this location treated me like I was at a police station. All the employees lied about why they needed me to go talk to a manager. I am currently going through a hard time and simply trying to make some extra money for my family. I was told to sit down in an office with this employee while he closed the door. Then acted like he was a police officer interrogating me when he could have just gotten to the point that I could not donate. I would never recommend anyone donating here because of this treatment. I will be filing complaints at the BBB. No one should be made to feel bad about trying to save lives themselves and make some extra money. If someone cannot donate they should just be told why and simply leave. You should not have to sit there while they go around things like they are a detective.
not being able to donate
I regret not getting the woman's name, but one of the employees would not allow me to donate because I sneezed and said I had allergies... Even though she brought me back to another room so she could "talk to me" about it and I clarified the sun makes me sneeze and you could tell I was fine. No runny nose or any others, she still said that because I used the word "allergies" she was not going to let me donate. I told her I wasn't ok with this, that they wasted my time because I drive 15-20 minutes to get there and even though they say the playroom was open, I was not allowed to make an appointment so that I could bring my son. Now they turn me away for a runny nose after I came all the way here. Not pleased and i've been doing this for years and no one has turned me away for allergies.
management
The management at the Biolife in Kokomo is the worst I've ever seen. They have ran off good employees. I'm not one by the way. I do not work for the company! It's a joke! I've witnessed Matt yelling at employees who are doing their job while he is doing nothing and leaving early. Lines out the door. Horrible management. I feel sorry for the young girl that he belittled in front of everyone!! Real piece of crap.

Hey everyone just want to let you know to stay away biolife plasma center in Mount Juliet they just kicked me out because I called out a employee at The center named Alexis who is floor supervisor that keeps treating other employees like crap in front of patients so I called her out to the manger Mary that I already spoke to about Alexis before an she keeps doing it again the these 2 women need to be fired!' I just posted it on Facebook also will reporting to BBB
wait times
On a regular basis the wait times at the plasma center in hayden are completely unacceptable. Management, when they're even visible, seem like they could care less about us when we're waiting. I shouldn't have to spend 2 hours here when I can donate in 40 minutes. There are always several beds that aren't even being used. The center is capable, apparently the employees are not. Staff this place up and run a professional business! The money is there, you are apparently just not allotting it correctly. Step up your game and become a real business.
Matthew mackenzie (400 donations) — not like it's my first time here... Please stop running this place like a joke!
Still waiting in line.
customer service/management
I was trying to donate plasma on Friday March 22nd at 7:20pm. I was instructed to complete a physical upon arrival at the kiosk and answered all questions accordingly. Only 3 answers needed to be changed. I talked to a lady in the back and she said "it's too late to do a physical and that we needed to do it another day. But everything should be ok as far a...
