coupons
I haven't came into the joplin, mo center in a few months. I received a coupon in my email stating I could get $50 a donation for the next 5 donations. I came in on december 29th and donated and showed the girl that stuck my finger the coupon. She said she would take care of it. Well when I went to schedule my next appointment it only showed $20 added to my account. I thought well I guess I better let somebody know when I go in to donate. I let them know when I went in on january 3rd and they checked into it and said the system wouldn't allow them to go back and add the coupon. The manager came over and talked to me about it and said she tried and the system wouldn't let her add it and there were no other specials she could give me. How is it that an employee messes up and the doner has to pay for it? I'll be contacting some other places about this as well. I've been a doner over two years and it's not ethical or right to do that to people!
biolife employee
I want to complain about a very rude employee of biolife richmond ave, houston. She is a thin asian girl, I am not sure about her name. I used to sit in the waiting area for 5-10 minutes after the donation to make sure that I am ok to drive or till my husband reach there to pick me up. I had a horrible shivering after 2 donations in the past. On the day of incident, during donation the machine stopped 3 times and it took extra 30 minutes to complete the cycles and I was having a hard time because the injected site was hurting a lot. Also some staff was learning how to fix this issue taking time. But I thought it's ok with that because we cannot predict machines and people has to learn how to fix things, so it will benefit others. After this experience I was sitting in the waiting area and there she comes. She questioned me with a very rude voice and attitude ‘why are you sitting here'. She kept asking me without a gap as if I am a criminal or I am sitting there to do a crime. She ordered me to leave. She said you have to leave the property immediately after the donation. Nobody has said that to me anytime before. The very first day we were told to sit there for 15 minutes after donations. I was ok if she has asked me in a nice manner. This same lady was babysitting my 2 year old daughter during another donation and when I went to pick her up she said your daughter was not obeying me with the same rude face. That day I said sorry to her because I thought she had a hard time because of my daughter. May be she wants to sit idle. She is expecting that a 2 year old child will do everything that she says and then she can relax. Because of her I don't want to go to that place anymore. Being said that there are many other friendly and very nice employees there.
I think they pick and choose who they want
I am writing you in behalf of my friend. Becky lepovich went to the bio life center in mentor, ohio a while ago and they told her her veins were too small. So I took her there not long ago and when she talked to them about donating they grabbed her file and never did look at her arms and said her veins were too small. The management there seems to pick and choose who they want there and who they don't, oh they will never admit it but I have seen them do so. Also I would like to know if u get terminated for failing to tell them about a metaphor medication if u are terminated for life?
time 11:35
Hello,
My name is kristy maples. I am becoming more adjatated every time I come for my appt. Today my appt was scheduled at 10:40 a.M. And I am just now being seated. It is 11:38 now. For months now it seems to take at least two hours to do this process. I used to be able to do it all within an hour of filling out my questions. I had a good experience on wednesday and was hoping things were finally better but apparently not. I suggest the higher ups come out of the office to help or quit scheduling what you can't handle.
I understand that sometimes there is a turn around on employees but this has been going on for months now. This is at your billings montana location. I hope this gives you some night to this location and things will get better.
Sincerely,
Kristy maples
P.S. It's 11:45 now i'm finally getting poked
needle
A week and a half ago I donated plasma and the lady that stuck the needle in my arm punctured my vein that she was working with. I told her that something was wrong and she said " you should be fine, you are just not bleeding out well today. Make sure to drink a ton of water before you get here. Next thing you know I get a hematoma. I rely on biolife to pay half my rent as i'm a full time student and also a college baseball player. I do not know the name of the lady that did this to me as I was furious because my arm was so fat. I understand that there are some consequences with donating but never should an individual suffer for another persons mistakes. You can track my records I have donated 6 or 7 times since I found out about biolife and I wasn't slowing down at all. I should be paid for the month of december and maybe more as I still have a bruise the size of a football on my arm. If you would like a picture I would be happy to send you one. This is outrageous that i'm not allowed to donate for one of your workers who messed me up.
lighting
This isn't a complaint so much as an observation and a possibility to save you money on your energy usage. I work for a company that is starting to switch ballast lighting to led lighting thus making the building(s) brighter and saving customers money on light bills. I currently donate at one of your two cedar rapids, ia locations. Please feel free to contact me if this interests your company at all.
[protected] is my phone number.
Cadensdad07. [protected]@gmail.com is my email. Thank you and I hope to hear from you.
incompetent staff
I had scheduled my physical and first donation for 12/2/17 in casper, wyoming. When I went in, the woman at the front asked if I had ever donated elsewhere and I replied yes. She told me that I was not able to donate that day because I was still active in laramie, wyoming's system. I had never been told that I needed to transfer records from a previous location. I had even called prior to my appt. With questions and I referenced my previous donation, so it was obvious I had donated before, but no one thought to ask if I had transferred records.
I immediately left and called laramie's location, when a female took my information and told me that she would have my records transferred to casper by tuesday 12/5/17.
I made my new appt. For 12/6/16 in casper. I called, just to make sure that my records had been transferred. Laramie had not transferred my records.
I am extremely frustrated and disappointed in the absolute unprofessionalism of both locations. It seems that these employees do not care to take in new business from potential donaters.
staff conduct
On 11/22/17 my girlfriend and I went to the biolife center in fond du lac, wi. We had been pretty regular to this center for awhile. I was sent to one section while my gf was sent to another section. Shortly after my line was hooked up and running the machine beeped and shut off. The staff memeber came over told me that is was due to too much fatty food. She tried it again and again it shut off. I was told I would only receive $20 ok no big deal. However my gf in a completely different section texts me telling me that 3-4 staff members are talking about me and laughing saying stuff like "oh well he's worthless" and "waste of needle on him". I actually looked over there to see them laughing and nodding my way. I went and spoke with what was supposed to be the manger. She said she would talk to them about it. Today 11/29/17 went back to the same center to donate. Everything went fine no problems at all. When we were done I checked my card. I was supposed to have $50. I only had $20. I asked the front desk worker by the name of stacy. She didnt know anything about it and all she could do was take my number and have someone call me. I received a call from kathy or cathy later that day. She did nothing to inform me about the money situation all she said was I was band from ever going to a biolife center again. When asked why she stated that the employees there said that I was very angry, I was even hostile, I was yelling, I even hit a desk? I asked her numerous times to review the cameras at the center she simply said no. I feel that as a manger in charge of people it should be her upmost duty to reveiw each of the cameras and instead of punish me a guy that had a simple question as to why all the said money wasnt on his card, instead she should fire the 3-4 employees that basically laughed in my face, along with kara the first person I spoke with that made all these false statements that I was hostile and yelling and hitting the desk etc.
biolife plasma
I came in to donate blood I was deined the chance to do so because "tattoos" but my tattoos are from years ago so called to make a complaint I later received a call back from a assist manager saying I should come back in so he could take a look but I already felt like I was being discriminated against first off i'm a homosexual and I brought my partner into ge clinic with. And I have never been treated so poorly in my life or so easily dismissed. I just called back to the corporate office and a lady named cheryl hung up on me I the middle of me explaining my situation I called back and was sent to voicemail not once but multiple times. I left a message. I'm not goin to take this injustice lying down i'm going to file a civil suit if no one can give me a straight answer as to why I was turned away. I fight everyday to have equal rights as everyone else I don't deserve to be deferred because of my orientation.
compensation
My name is annette whitaker, I just became a donor on 11/22/17 for the first time since 2011. I was told by the nurse i'd receive, $50, $60, $50, $60, $80 for my first 5 donations with the special you're currently having $300 for first 5 donations. Today staff missed the veins on both my arms and compensated me $57.75?! So they shorted me 13.25 with the special 10 dollars for my second donation, and then proceeded to tell me because they missed my veins. I spoke to management and he said the same thing, although the paperwork I received at my physical said i'd be compensated regardless if they stuck that needle in my arm. I'm very upset with how I was treated today.
The lady that stuck my right arm wouldn't allow me to take pictures for management either.
What did you want to take a picture of?
failure to pay
My wife came in and done a donation on 11/18/17 around 12:30 upon finishing her donation she never received a payment we kept calling and no one would answer the phone. So we went back up there and they told her it takes 1-4 hours for the payment to post. It's now 5pm and still haven't received a payment and i'm also used to donate at the same facility and my payment was always on my card the moment I completed my donation
ridiculously long wait times at the hayden, idaho biolife
It is a regular occurrence to have to wait 30-45 minutes just to get to have your vitals taken. If everyone here has an appointment, which they must, why are they so understaffed and inefficient?! 2 staff people taking vitals, 15 donors in line. Obviously better management and structure are desperately needed at the hayden, idaho biolife. Lots of good employees who are in need of qualified and competent management.
the management staff at the janesville wi location
Last friday 11/03/17 I called the center to get information "for myself" about something that deeply concerned me. Heather answered the phone and up front I asked her to keep our conversation confidential, I asked twice and I felt confident my wished would be granted, besides this was something medical. If my doctor ever broke the doctor patient confidence i'd bring them up on malpractice law suit. I got home that friday night and walked right into world war three. Three days of yelling and screaming and my landlord is still considering eviction. On top of that, I was told that the police showed up at the house so biolife must have called them. I showed up on monday 11/06/17 because I was told by heather (one of the nurses) the one who took the complaint that I could donate again today. I went there and was only allowed to give another "spee" sample. I went there today hoping to talk to the staff responsible and get some satisfaction, but nothing. I think something should be done. I get threatened by the manager because I was asking to say hi to one of the staff members and now this, i'm expecting satisfaction...
Nothing to update
check in service
I went to donate plasma for the first time on oct 31st. The woman who checked me in was great, however the woman who [censored]ed my finger was rude. She found out that I had donated blood, and said unless I could remember the date I couldn't donate plasma. She was not helpful, she was rude, and did nothing to help the issue. I figured out the timing and realized that I could donate plasma. I went up to the counter and told her that I was in the clear, her response "well that's good, but we are closed now." she was not helpful at all, and did nothing to improve the situation.
retaliation from biolife employee(s)
My girlfriend sharla nieto and I have been having problems with a biolife employee, her first name is anna and she works at biolife in austin tx (howard lane). Anna has acted very unprofessional ever since I told her that her comment wasnt warranted. She rudely told me that "sometimes you are gonna have to just wait." she said this after she heard me talking to a floor leader about the wait time. The floor leader fully explained why it was taking a long time (machine mess up). What she said doesnt matter much. Its the look on her face when she said it, the time of when she said it, also how she said it.
The manager told me not to respond to her and to take complaints to them. We did 2 more times. Once it was because I refused to interact with her after my donation was done. I was walking to put up the "bed card" up when she tried to stop me to take the card from me. I said "no thanks I got it." she then clapped her hands and said "thats a good boy." I took this to the manager. And nothing happened. Today 10/31/17 we go in and avoid her area. She as of lately been trying to provoke on of us to say something to her, example: uncomfortable stares. Everytime I look up from my phone she is giving me an uncomfortable mean stare. Today she mouthed some bad words to my girlfriend. My girlfriend tried to ignore her. After she was done she was waiting for me when andy the assistant manager calls her to the backroom behind close doors. While andy was being aggressive with sharla; yelled, threaten, and used aggressive body language, she was txting me everything he said. She asked him for his bosses phone number and he said "I am not giving it to you." threaten my girlfriend saying "this is her (sharla) last chance." we did/do not understand that statement. "last chance" what does that mean? Last chance to complain about an employee before they kick us out. We really do not like being retaliated against. We only made legit complaints. Retaliation is not necessary.
We get consequences if we disrespect one of biolife employees. What happens to biolife employees when the continue to provoke and disrespect their clients? I was very upset at andy and the way he chose to treat a woman. I video recorded our interaction with andy.
I am complaining about the manager at the location in janesville, wi
I went to have a seep sample taken on monday october 23. I was brought into an office by the manager bring attention my request for info on the staff and to say hi to one of the female staff members. I realize now it was wrong to ask for that info but what was wrong with asking for someone to tell a particular staff member I said hi. The manager brought me into the office, mentioned both events and was rather snotty about it say "if I do it again i'll drop you from the program". I've been donating for over 4 years and have made that request in the past and have never been pulled aside and threatened with being dropped out of the program. I was/am very offended by the way I was treated by the facility manager and I will feel uncomfortable when I go to donate from now on. I thought everyone (staff and diner's) were aloud to be friendly with each other, to make the time go by. Please do not use my name or any kind of description if you send her an email, she was very unprofessional.
I hope this can be resolved without further tension.
biolife employee of nampa, idaho facility
Hello, I recently went in to donate I believe on wednesday 11, or the 12 of last week.
The young lady didn't seem like she knew what she was doing at all, rolled her eyes at me several times, was vague, was snappy, and finally get into a seat she"prefers"
She proceeded to administer the first needle in my right arm... She missed.
Tries my left arm... She missed.
Sent me with two ice packs and mumbled some additional instructions. And didn't seem like she cared one bit about my health or well being, let alone my donation.
I have been bruised for two weeks since and not going away. That was a terrifying visit.
I don't even know who to talk to.
donation
I donate at the st. Peters, missouri location. I was supposed to receive $50 every time for 5 times to add up to $250. This past saturday after an already awful and long beginning, I only received $20 on my card. My wife also went to donate, and they did not inform her until being there for two hours she could not donate until they received a notice from her doctor regarding a medication she is on.
west des moines, iowa biolife plasma facility
I have tried and tried to get on line several times in the last month to schedule my donation. Upon calling I was told that, "for now on,"you people"need to schedule your appointments on line. When I explained the situation, I was told by zach that there is now a computer available on site in the"center"to schedule appointments. He continued,"we are too busy to take appointments by phone!" what most surprises me as a medical facility how loud each rep is about telling a person out loud why they are being denied, or deferred for a day, and the medical reason why.in addition to listening to the employees talk about donors as they walk around. Pay attention donors, these are federally governed rights and regulations that are monitored. Write what is being said, date, time and look at the badge of the employee and also write it down.,
not being able to donate after donating successfully
After doing two successful donations I have been denied my third donation. They are unable to get a reading of my bp and pulse on my arm so the nurse always did it on my forearm.in my attempt to do my third donation my pulse was a little high (I am assuming because I was rushing to get in there and get it done). So she asked me to wait a few moments so they could recheck it.in the process of rechecking she tells me that they are unable to do it on the forearm because of the policy. That's interesting because it wasn't an issue the last two times I donated. Samantha, the supervisor, then proceeds to tell me I can not donate. I asked for the manager to give me a call on monday which he has yet do. I had to call over there myself and he was still unavailable. Samantha also informed me they are unable to order a larger cuff. I just don't see how this is possible. Needless to say they won't let me donate and still now word from the manager. Not a very good way to run a business if you can't accommodate ones needs. My sister and my daughter have both been donating. And the second time the blew both of my sisters veins and got blood all over her and the technician. The third time she went back the blew another vein. I have put a review on facebook and have not got a response. I have also submitted a contact form on the website on tuesday, october 3 and still have not been contacted. What the heck is going on?
