Black & Decker Toaster oven/Air fryer bought at Walmart Supercenter. Model #TO3217SS

The door fell off & the oven is just about a year & 1/2 years old. It was purchased at Walmart Supercenter 3625 S. Federal Hwy., Boynton Beach, FL I just bought one as a shower gift & then read the reviews. Had I done that originally I NEVER would have bought one for a gift. The majority of complaints is that the door fell off. I just took out my Cuisinart toaster oven that I thankfully had not thrown away. Your toaster oven/air fryer definitely has a defective flaw. Which is sad because I really LOVED this oven

Black & Decker CHV1410L Cordless Hand Vac

I own several B & D products: Cordless drills, Battery chainsaw, corded lawn trimmer and an older hand vacuum cleaner which wife says is not good.

I researched Hand vacuum cleaners in the 2021 Consumers Report, found a B & D CHV1410L rated very well so I ordered it through Amazon.

It arrived today and we find there is no wall hanger although the tool has a receptacle to mount it. A computer search shows it is available from a third party on Amazon for $16,99!

So the unit is to just sit loosely on the charger with no support to keep it in place or from getting bumped and falling over?

The wall mount is just a piece of plastic.

I am disappointed in this decision to not include it with the unit!

Black & Decker Repair not followed through

Their customer service team is completely useless. I sent in my portable air conditioner for a warranty failure on June 29th. It is August 3rd and I have not received any communication regarding the replacement. It is now past the original window of expectation to have this resolved. I have spoken to multiple agents over the phone and over chat who have all not had any information for me, and simply told me they would escalate the issue and contact me when they hear something.

Why is this taking so long? Why can't a different unit just be shipped to me? Why has this issue gone from being handled by warranty repair to customer care and still has no change in results? I have not been given answers at all. Every time I try to get answers each agent simply thanks me for calling and hangs up. At this point, I don't believe the products are worth purchasing ever again given how HORRIBLE this whole process has been, which is impressive because I used to work for Apple in their warranty repair department.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology. I would like an answer to my questions. I would like my portable a/c unit REPLACED like it was supposed to be, over a month ago.

Black & Decker power hedge trimmer

2nd time I used it and an 1/8 branch stopped it. Now makes sound, but trimming bar is now stationary.Very disappointed, this is the only black and decker tool that has ever failed me. I that involves going all the way back to my childhood. This wasn't the most expensive trimmer out there, but I'd rather pay a little more for one that doesn't break so easy.

Black & Decker Warranty claim

The air conditioner was great until it stopped working after 2 months. The blower motor stop working. Getting the warranty claim going was difficult for the begining. It has been with Black + Decker for over 4 months with no resolution in sight. The customer service is the worst I have ever encountered. Every week they tell me to call next week. They offer no help and have no answers. I am at a loss. In speaking with one of their representatives it was apparent that this is an issues for many many people. They just don't care about their customers. I feel that just want drag this out till people give up.

Black & Decker Strimmer

I had a Black and Decker strummer which broke under fair wear and tear. I was pleased when it was replaced free of charge; I had only had it and used it for a few months. I am however today less pleased; the replacement strimmer broke just a few days outside the warranty period of the original strimmer, but still within the two years of the replacement one.

Customer service are not prepared to allow any latitude or tolerance to their guarantee policy to allow for this situation.

I feel that they could and should honour my complaint.

Desired outcome: A replacement strimmer would be nice.

Black & Decker 16" TB 25CC CS TRIMMER

I purchased this trimmer on 08/08/22. Since I was in the process of moving I only used it twice. Both times I had trouble starting it once it got hot. Meanwhile I moved. This spring I got it out and same thing. It would start when it was cool but if you had to string it or gas it up, you could forget about it starting back. I returned it to Menards who refused it because it had gas put in it. It was sent to Kenny Queen's Hardware where the warranty work is done. After 2 weeks we go pick it up and they say it was the ignition module. We get it home and I used it until it ran out of gas. Went to start it back up and it would not start. Procedures for starting was followed to the tee!

Desired outcome: Either fix this one or get me a replacement as it is desperately needed.

Black & Decker Electric Frying pan

I needed a new frying pan after the old one died. So I bought another Frying pan.

The plug does not seem to be making proper contact and when you do get it in tight . I am very disappointed since I had one for years,As a elderly person I should not have to put money for a product that does not work.

The element once you manage to make contact takes a long time to heat up.

Desired outcome: replacement of the product or a coupon for another one.

Black & Decker Vacuum cleaner

I purchased a vacuum cleaner on Amazon and the motor started overheating and clicking off after just a few months of use. I was referred to ctnovatechsupport the “3rd party” for replacement in October. In December after several follow ups they offered a refund. I did not get replacement or refund. Black and Decker continues to pass off to Novatech.

Black & Decker Dewalt battery operated pruner

Product is unsafe and use could result in loss of fingers, thumb. On July 7, 2022, during use of pruner after 20 minutes I cut my thumb almost completely off (through the bone). Helicopter transfer to hospital and 4 days stay. Thumb was reattached and I am continuing rehabilitation' Safety features of device are unsatisfactory as you may pull trigger as much as you want without reset of grip first safety feature.

Desired outcome: Redesign safety feature as to prevent multiple trigger action to prevent further occurrences. Payment for hospital bills and for pain and suffering.

Black & Decker Black+Decker Hand Mixer

Purchased a Black+Decker Hand Mixer used it for the first time and it shorted out all my kitchen outlets. Phoned Black+Decker and they indicated to ship it to them and they will test it. I told them all of my kitchen outlets were no longer working. I tried to reset all outlets but to no avail. I phoned an electrician and booked an appointment for them to come out. After working on my outlets, they indicated that the appliance shorted out all my kitchen outlets. They repaired my outlets and I sent the invoice to Black+Decker and they indicated there was nothing wrong with my mixer however, they sent me a new mixer.

Desired outcome: Want to be reimbursed $350.00 for the cost of my electrician.

Black & Decker BCBL700 cordless leaf blower

This is my second one as I returned the first one to the store I bought it at because it would shut on after running on hi for less than a minute. The second one work for the first 5 times but now shuts off after running on high for less than 30 seconds.

I used a fully charged battery and no difference. I have to turn it off then back on to restart it. It is frustrating.

Black & Decker Warranty Replacement on Portable AC

-Returned Portable AC in June of 2022 to Black and Decker, after receiving a shipping label from Black and Decker.

-AC delivered on July 6. 2022 verify by Black and Decker

-Now October 18, still no replacements

-I've spent many hours trying to get this issue resolve via emails, phone calls, and chat. No results

-No one can provide any ETA as to when the replacement will be shipped

-I provided Ticket #4153

-I've been assigned a different request number each time I request an update

-I've even escalated to the Board of Directors at Black and Decker - no reply or comment. I have a ton of documentation supporting my claim. As of today, Oct 18, I still do not have a replace or a person to talk to in an effort to resolve this problem I'm asking for your help and support to resolve this issue.

-Attach are only a few of the emails of non-support this is a daily effort with no results. I have many more emails if needed

Same here with my portable AC unit, been trying to get repair for 8 months, 4 tickets, with 4 promises to send me a return shipping label, then NOTHING.. absolutely ridiculous...

Hi, i’m experiencing the exact same problem. I sent back my A/C unit on June 3, 2022 and have been calling and emailing waiting on a replacement that is “ready to be shipped”.

Experiencing the same thing. I sent my unit in to be replaced, it broke less than 1 month after I got it. I've yet to receive my replacement and I've called once a month since June.

Black & Decker B&D BPP10WTB Portable AC- WARRANTY CLAIM ticket #8587

I purchased a B&D AC in July of 2021 (pic 1). This unit worked for 2 months before failing to blow cold air. I submitted a warranty claim that was accepted. I boxed up defective unit and returned it with B&D shipping label they provided. A replacement was eventually sent. No paper work was sent but this pic of shipping label gives mod #, date and replacement designation (pic 2). This unit also failed to blow cold after several months. I again filed a warranty claim that was accepted (pic3). I've returned defective unit number two with prepaid label also (pic 4). I have been told this unit was not reparable. Since then I've had no communication from B&D, emails go UN-answered and phone calls only tell me that no tracking # had been issued for replacement and that's all they can\will provide. I would like to get this part of my B&D experience behind me. Would you please send me unit number 3? Please...B&D BPP10WTB Portable AC- WARRANTY CLAIM ticket #8587.

Black & Decker Black & decker sanding mouse bew 230 type 2

I bought this product from B & Q in Rhyl North Wales about 2 / 3 months ago now it doesn't work. I have used it probably 5 times. I tried a different fuse, but it still doesn't work. I took the unit back to B & Q, but they informed me that without a receipt they could not exchange it & advised me to contact you directly. I am assuming that there is a 12 month warranty on this piece of equipment. I know it only cost me about £20, but I am a pensioner and £20 is a lot of money to me. As you can see from the two photos the unit looks almost brand new. yours sincerely V Waggett.

Black & Decker BDH2000PL Pivot vacuum

Not a bad unit, when it runs. The lithium batteries die over time, as is the case with any batteries. B&D has chosen to not allow any replacement batteries to be sold, even though they designed it to be an easily replaceable component. Contacting their support results in a, "Sorry those aren't replaceable." as they think removing 2 Philips-head screws and unplugging a 3-pin Molex is way too complicated for their average user (I guess they don't think much of their customers).

Avoid any B&D products as they all contain some flavor of this planned obsolescence. I had one other super-cheap drill whose battery was irreplaceable, securely locked-away behind more Philips-head screws :-|

Desired outcome: If they would just allow the battery/BMS unit to be resold, I wouldn't have had to throw a large plastic body in the garbage.

Black & Decker 1400 btu portable air conditioner with heat and remote

I purchased the air conditioner in May and was unable to set up till June due to physical disability and lack of help. The unit blew cold for a few minutes and then hot for several. I reached out to Black and Decker warranty and was told it was a faulty unit and they would exchange it. I was happy with that decision. I waited and waited for the shipping label for over a week then I called and refused to get off the phone and the shipping label was suddenly emailed to me. UPS picked up the air conditioner the next day. Warranty people received the air conditioner a week later. I call every couple of days and the people make up excuses why they haven't replaced the air conditioner and some lie just to get off the phone. Today they said they were upgrading my air conditioner, gave me the model number and it was cheaper and smaller than the one I purchased so I refused and they made it like they were doing me a favor by giving me the item I ordered instead of downgrading. I still don't have an air conditioner. Anyone interested in a class action lawsuit. This is theft.

Desired outcome: Full refund, compensation for stress and time dealing with company, W Appliance Co. LLC close shop as it's an illegal place of business. Black and Decker recall all faulty products and go away.

Black & Decker Portable air conditioning units

I purchased two portable air conditioning units from Amazon back in February/March to try to prepare for summer ahead of time. Units did not get used until June. Already both have units malfunctioned. Granite it was 90 degrees outside but I’ve had window units until now and never had a problem using the same outlets. The first one kept blowing my breaker unit and then fried out and now the second has a fan issue and will randomly stop blowing hot air out and overheat…which tripped my breaker. Coincidence? I had my maintenance man come and check the outlets and breaker for me and he didn’t see an issue so I went and purchased a new unit, different brand, at Menards last night and it had been working perfectly in the same outlets. Very disappointed and broke now!

Desired outcome: Purchase back your piece of crap equipment or replace at least one…

Black & Decker Black and Decker Coffee Maker Replacement Part Carafe Lid

I want to order a replacement lid for a B&D coffee carafe for model BCM1410B. I was told on the phone today, 2/14/22, that I must order a glass carafe to get a replacement lid. I don't need a carafe, just a lid. When I told the representative that my lid broke - a small piece of plastic snapped off - she asked me if I removed the lid from the carafe. I said yes and she told me that I wasn't supposed to remove the lid. I told her that I've always removed coffee carafe lids to clean them. She told me that the Black & Decker instruction leaflet tells customers not to remove the lid in the printed instructions. It does NOT say that. The printed instructions say, "Keep lid on the carafe when in use." To me, that means keep it on when making coffee or pouring coffee. The representative implied that it's my fault that the lid broke. I would agree if the instructions said, "Never remove the lid, even for cleaning." I mentioned my issue to a friend who said that she has always taken coffee carafe lids off to clean over the years.

Desired outcome: Send me a replacement lid or credit for the coffee maker. Correct the wording in your instructions, so no one else makes the mistake of removing the lid for cleaning purposes.
