I always have a great experience with this company and this one was no different. *** came to get my boiler ready for the winter and was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he pointed out a few things that I might need to consider in the future which I appreciated. Very trustworthy and another great experience!

I had a spigot on the outside of house that would not run
I had a spigot on the outside of house that would not run. *** from Blue Sky came out and found the turn on valve hidden behind drywall and insulation in my garage ceiling. Outside spigot works perfect now and *** showed me how to turn the valve on and off for winter weather.Best investment was signing up for their Family plan and being able to use them for electrical work too!

My technician was fast and efficient in determining what was causing my furnace to run inadequately. He also gave me suggestions on how to make it run more efficiently once he finished his work. He was very pleasant and I would highly recommend him and the company Blue Sky.

Just want to say how much I appreciated working with *** at Blue Sky. He came out to look at our water heater a couple of weeks ago, since it was displaying an error message of concern. *** arrived promptly during the expected appointment window. He was friendly, professional and was able to diagnose and resolve our issue very quickly. Our problem did not require a repair or parts at the time so nothing was charged. What a relief. Really appreciate Martys expertise and that he was so easy to work with. Would gladly recommend his service to a friend. ?

I have an old house in Central City
I have an old house in Central City. I had several heating technicians come out and work on our Rinnai Combi Boiler. All failed to fix the problem and one said he would not come back because of the size of the boiler room. Then comes *** from Blu Sky Plumbing. He showed up early in the morning ready to work and fix things. He quickly identified the problem and replaced the fill valve that had just been replaced a month earlier. *** was confident in his diagnosis and after the part was installed the problem was corrected and I had water pressure in the boiler again. I then asked he replace a corroded manifold. Two other techs refused and said they could not do this. *** did not balk at all and performed the difficult task of cutting out the bad component and replacing it with the new part. *** was pleasant and was patient to answer the many questions about the boiler. *** gave me advice on how to keep the boiler healthy by getting service done as it is different than my old cast iron boiler. he made me feel relieved by stating he would be happy to return for future work and clean *** when needed. I would recommend *** to all with boiler systems up in the mountain area as they are hard to find with the experience and knowledge *** am glad he saved us from another night without heat!

Blue Sky came last spring on an after-hours, emergency basis to repair a busted pipe under the kitchen sink and offered to give a reduced rate if we paid extra for their subscription service, which we did. Therefore, on April 24, we used them to replace a hosebib for an outside faucet that was leaking inside the wall. On Wednesday, June 3, 6-1/2 weeks after this installation, we discovered that there was a major leak inside this same wall. By the time we noticed the issue, water had soaked the carpeted floor and traveled across the room. We assumed that this was a different break since the hosebib had just been replaced. We called Blue Sky but did not ask for their high priced emergency service call since we were able to shut off the water. Blue Sky said they could not come until the following Monday. Since we believed it was a different problem and not related to Blue Sky's work, we continued to search for a plumber with sooner availability We were lucky to have a master plumber friend, who normally does not do service work, look at the leak the day after we found the problem, on Thursday 6/4. He was immediately able to see that it was leaking from a ring that was part of the new hosebib and advised us that this should be covered under warranty. He didn't perform any work. Blue Sky refused to honor their work claiming that any Warranty was VOIDED by having another plumber look at the leak! We explained that he literally just LOOKED, but it made no difference. Blue Sky has NO interest in doing the right thing. We paid again and had a new hosebib installed by a different plumber. Observing the repair I noted how hard the plumber worked to do the soldering and not overheat the end of the part. The leak was in the ring which, in my opinion, was caused by Blue Sky in the install by overheating the end of the part causing the ring solder to melt. We will never use Blue Sky again will take every opportunity to warn others. "zero stars" rating would be more fitting.

We have been customers of Blue Sky for a while now, and they have always done a good job for us until last month. I had Blue Sky come and do a maintenance and cleaning of our heaters. A tech came on Dec 29. When he arrived, both heaters were working well. Two days later we noticed there was no heat in the basement, and the heater was not running-you could hear the fan but no heat coming out of vents. I called on January 2 that the heater was not working and Blue Sky sent a second tech to check out the problem. The first tech had turned off the heater and not turned it back on. The tech noticed it was pretty dirty so it had not been cleaned either. He also found a problem with the heater, and the reason it no longer worked. He did not know why it was working before the first tech came and why it did not work when the second tech was there. I asked him to give me an estimate for repairs and also for replacement in case the repair was costly. I still have not received an estimate. I called another company for a second opinion. They came to the same conclusion that the heater needed a part replaced. I paid $240 for this heater to be serviced and tried to reach a supervisor at Blue Sky for a reimbursement. I called Monday, Jan 3 and was told that I would get a call back *** hours from a supervisor. On Wednesday I still had not heard, so called again. Another "work order" for a call back was initiated, again for "*** hours" call back. By Friday I was getting frustrated. I called again and the representative said she would transfer the call ticket to someone else who she thought would for sure call me back. It is now Monday night, January 10. No call back. My issues? It appears the furnace was not properly serviced, nor was it cleaned by the first tech. When he left, the furnace stopped working and the basement was cold with no heat. If he had properly serviced it, wouldn't he have noticed it wasn't working? Why did he leave it turned off? The second tech did the best he could to redo the service and found a problem, but never provided an estimate. I am now wondering if Blue Sky just doesn't want to deal with me. It's unfortunate because we have had good success with them in the past. Unfortunately, they have lost a good customer who will let friends and others know of this unfortunate incident, and how customer service does not matter to Blue Sky. If you want to use Blue Sky, just know if something doesn't go as planned, you may never hear from them again.

Not sure if it is the latest generation of ownership, but our most recent experience with Blue Sky caused us to decide we will never do business with them again. Their "expert" technician came to look into an issue we were having with our heat and hot water. He determined we needed to do 3 things: replace a valve, replace a gauge, and relocate the intake and exhaust of our system because of a deck we recently built above the original intake/exhaust. He quoted all the work and I followed up to schedule the appointment to complete the 3 items. The day the technician came back, he informed me he could only complete 2 of the 3 items and would need to re-schedule for the 3rd. The first two items were completed without issue and we scheduled an additional visit for the intake/exhaust relocation. The fateful day finally came and the same technician showed up with an apprentice to help him drill the necessary holes and run the new pipe for the intake/exhaust. Shortly after their arrival, the apprentice was wandering around looking confused. He told me that he didn't know where the technician was or what the plan was. Eventually, they got to work drilling through the first of the two walls they would need to drill through for the new pipes. After about an hour, the technician came out and told me they would need to charge me an extra $200 for the job. While not happy about being asked to pay $200 more than the original $1400 quote, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. They then left to get a "bigger drill." They returned and spent the next 6 hours drilling 2 holes through a single 8-inch think concrete wall. At 5pm, the technician came out of the basement, and told me they had only managed to get through 1 of the 2 walls and would need to hire a core drilling company to complete the job. He said he would follow up with timing for that. So, postponed once again. The next day, the technician called and said the core drilling company could be at our house the next week and that the additional cost to complete the job would be $900. I told the technician that almost doubling the cost of a job whose scope had not changed was unacceptable. I followed up with a call to Blue Sky's office and asked for the Service Manager. The person who answered told me he was in a meeting with the other managers and that he would call me back when he was out of that meeting. Four hours passed with no call, so I called back. This time I was forwarded to the Service Manager's voicemail. I left a message describing the situation and my frustration and asking him to return my call. 24 hours later and still no call, so I called Blue Sky's office to let them know that I would be going with another company (one that quoted the same original $1400 for the job) and would no longer be doing business with Blue Sky. It's now been a week and I still have not heard from Blue Sky. I don't know if they have made a conscious decision to try to take advantage of their customers during the pandemic, but they clearly couldn't care less about retaining a long-term customer that was paying a premium for their annual service plan. Buyer beware - this company combines incompetence (I've spoken to multiple other companies that have all said it was obvious a core drill was needed for the job) with dishonest sales practices.

Blue Sky Plumbing & Heating, Inc. charged me, like, $860 for a heat relay thingy. I seen that it usually costs like $32-$120, so it seems kinda sketchy. They only worked on it for less than half an hour, so this whole thing shouldn't have cost more than $250 total. Other peeps have left mixed reviews on different sites like ***, ***, and ComplaintsBoard.com. I saw that on ***, there are mostly good reviews, but on *** and ComplaintsBoard.com, they're more like how I feel. It seems like this company likes to overcharge peeps. When I asked them about it, they were shady and wouldn't let me dispute the charge with my bank. I don't think they're being honest about how much they're charging.

blue sky plumbing & heating did me wrong. i was having some issues with moisture so i called them up. one of their guys came out to look at my unit, his name was ***. he didn't even really look at anything before he said my heat exchange was cracked. he didn't check for carbon monoxide or take a good look at the exchange. he just said it had to be replaced and gave me a quote of 15k! can you believe that? all for a little moisture. he didn't even bother to look for other options. it's a good thing i found out that it was just a $3 hose that was split when we changed the humidifier filter. and then this tech had the nerve to try and sell me a new unit! that's just shady. anyone who goes to these guys better watch out. they're not even trying to hide the fact that they want to rip you off.

Ultimately I sought resolution on my own, buying a new motor ($150) and learning how to install it myself. I have reached out to the company more than 5 times trying to get in touch with the service manager to discuss our situation, and I have not had my phone calls or messages returned. Im incredibly disappointed not only by the initial service, where we were charged a high price for something that broke again so quickly, plus the state of things that the repairman left (trash on the deck thrown off the roof). This is only made worse by the continued radio silence as I want to discuss with the company. I would not recommend this service provider to anyone, and I want a refund for the quality of service provided.
