Courteous, informative, and reliable
Courteous, informative, and reliable. I was real impressed with their knowledge 'bout the system. I highly recommend 'em.
Ruind my drain field!
Ruind my drain field! I had to get a whole new tank put in on another side of my property! $5000 in repairs! He done so many people wrong in *** County, *** that the health department supervisor put in a complaint on his contractors license!
This business is a complete joke!
This business is a complete joke! They messed up my lawn real bad. I called the sheriff and they came over to take some pictures. They're sending an investigator tomorrow 'cause the owner was threatening me, saying he's gonna kick my butt. I told him to bring it on! They even called my house and my wife's phone, pretending to be the ***, and threatened to arrest her for canceling a check. Someone's definitely going to jail, and it ain't gonna be me!
I would not recommend Carolina Septic Pro
I would not recommend Carolina Septic Pro. They sent some guys to drain our septic tank, but they were clueless. They said our tank was under our pool, which made no sense. They were only there for a short time and charged us 150 bucks for nothing. We paid up because of the pool situation. We decided to get a second opinion from another company, and guess what? The septic tank was nowhere near the pool. It was in a completely different part of the yard. The other company pumped it without any issues. So, I called Carolina Septic to ask for a refund since their guys were totally incompetent. The lady I spoke to was so rude. She said she'd call me back in 5 minutes, but she never did. When I called again later, she said they wouldn't give us our money back. Now, we have to put our pool back up and fill it for no reason. This is really bad customer service. Their workers can't even tell rocks from a septic tank. We're going to take further action against them.

I was quoted around $4000 to fix my septic issues
I was quoted around $4000 to fix my septic issues. The guy said replacing the pump would cost a fortune. I was told the pump alone would be worth thousands. They ended up swapping it with a weaker one compared to the original. I searched for the pump they installed and found it online for $160.50 (and they could've gotten it even cheaper). They wouldn't break down the bill for me. I reckon they overcharged me by more than $4000 just for a sump pump replacement. I want a decent refund. These guys are crooks.
On 12/26 we had a septic tank issue, we gave this company 2,250 dollars and they didn't install the septic tank
On 12/26 we had a septic tank issue, we gave this company 2,250 dollars and they didn't install the septic tank. They told us many lies and didn't do any work. The installation wasn't done and we gave this company 2,250 dollars. We requested a refund and the receptionist said the check is in the mail, which was several weeks ago and we haven't received anything yet. The check was written on 12/26. We called another company and the septic tank was installed by the other company last week. We were tired of calling Carolina Septic Pro and kept getting the runaround and lies.
The price went up from 300.00 to 500.00 without any notice
The price went up from 300.00 to 500.00 without any notice. On April 20th, they came to my house and sucked the septic tank. They told me it would cost 300.00, and I agreed. They said they would call me for my debit card number after they finished, and I would pay the 300.00. But then I got a phone call saying it was done, and now my bill was 500.00. I don't think it's right to tell someone it's 300.00 and then suddenly charge them an extra 200.00 without any notice or concern for their financial situation or permission. The tank is 1100 gallons, and I should have been informed about this beforehand.

Poor customer service and service practices
Poor customer service and service practices. False repair information was given. We called Carolina Septic Pro because our tank seemed full. Their ad stated that they would empty the tank for $200. I called and made an appointment, and the lady on the phone said they would come to inspect and check all pipes and the pump, as well as empty the tank. The supervisor arrived, opened my pump cover, looked down, and said my pump was bad. They said it would cost $1,800 to fix. They pumped my pump tank and charged me $400. The supervisor then said my pump tank would stay empty for about 3 weeks. I called one of the owners back, and she told me that they never empty the main tank on septic tanks because it's hazardous material. She said they can't do it. So, I opened my pump tank cover, plugged my pump into an extension cord, and the pump worked. The worker had told me it was bad just by looking at it without even testing it. It seems like they are trying to extort money from customers and causing unnecessary grief for those who pay their bills. Additionally, they never sent me a receipt for my payment.
I got this new septic pump and control box from Carolina Septic Pro on Nov 27, 2019
I got this new septic pump and control box from Carolina Septic Pro on Nov 27, 2019. But let me tell you, it ain't been working since they installed it. So, on November 25, these Carolina Septic Pro folks came over to pump out my septic tank. They started talking about how my old system was all metal and how lightning could strike it and burn my house down through the fuse box. They suggested I get a new system with an alarm for a whopping $4200. I thought, "Alright, let's do it," and they installed the new pump, risers, and control box just two days later.
Now, when they hooked up the electricity, the pump would turn on, but it wouldn't pump a darn thing. Fast forward to January 17, and they found out that the pump was just sitting in mud, unable to create any suction. They pumped out the mud, and lo and behold, the pump started working like it should. But guess what? A week later, the overflow alarm went off, and I had to go out there, open up the control box, and manually turn on the pump. It's never worked on automatic like it's supposed to. And let me tell you, every week or so, that darn overflow alarm goes off, and I have to go out there, open up the control box, and switch the pump to manual mode.
I've been asking them over and over again to fix or replace this float/control box, but they just haven't done anything about it. It's been a real hassle, and I'm getting fed up with it.
They didn't do the work even though I paid
They didn't do the work even though I paid. They said they'd pump the septic on Wednesday 2/26 between 9-11 am. They didn't tell me anything, so we had to call and ask why they didn't show up. They said they'd come after lunch. Finally, they arrived at 2:30 pm and didn't pump the tank. Instead, they listed off problems that needed fixing. They also broke the pump and damaged the lids. One of the workers said they'd come first thing on Friday 2/28 between 9-10 to fix everything. But once again, no one came and we had to call multiple times. They just gave us excuses and led us on. Then they said the risers weren't there and blamed a third party. I told them I didn't need the risers, but they insisted it was necessary. I said it was an extra part, but they didn't listen and kept arguing. They promised to come today, first thing on 3/2 between 7-8 am to finish the job. But surprise, surprise, no one showed up and no one called. Now they're using the same excuse about the risers. I paid $900 upfront and they still won't do the work. I asked for a refund, but they're refusing. We can't shower or do laundry, and we have a newborn baby at home. We're stuck with full tanks and they won't come to finish the job.
I think I got ripped off by Carolina Septic Pro when they pumped my septic system
I think I got ripped off by Carolina Septic Pro when they pumped my septic system. I talked to two other companies and they confirmed it. On May 28, my septic system got backed up because of the rain and because it hadn't been pumped before. I had already scheduled a good company to pump it the next week, but because of the rain, I needed help right away. I called the company I had scheduled with and they said they couldn't come because they were busy and the county facility wouldn't let them dump their trucks. Carolina Septic Pro was the fourth company I called and they were the only ones available for emergency pumping. They said it would cost $250-$300 to pump the tank and maybe an extra $300 if there was a lot of waste. They said they would come between 12-4 P.M. and I made sure to be home when they arrived. But they surprised me by showing up early and telling my wife that there were more problems. By the time I got home, they had convinced us that the drain field was "clogged" and needed pumping for an extra $1900. When I asked why it was so expensive, they said it was because it put strain on the pump and they had to charge that much in case it got damaged. They even used a trash bag to seal the end of the hose at the cleanout. They stood there for 30 minutes "vacuuming the lines" and then poured some chemical in that made it foam up like Hydrogen Peroxide. In the end, it cost me $2400, which is exactly what they must have thought I got from the COVID-19 stimulus. The invoice said I was charged $1900 for "System Treatment as a Package, Rejuvenate Drain-Field Treatment includes Hydraulically pumping out Drain-Field from outlet line, D-Box if necessary, treat with chemicals after to breakdown any leftover waste, Lastly install rear-baffle with filter outlet line for preventive maintenance." After getting the service, I felt like I had been ripped off. I don't mind paying for what I get, but I hate being taken advantage of. I called two other reputable septic services in my area and they confirmed my suspicion. Both companies said the solution to my problem would have been to pump the tank and let the lines drain back into the tank for 24 hours, and then pump it again. They said it shouldn't have cost me more than $1000 to fix the problem unless I had to replace the lines. When I told them how Carolina Septic Pro "pumped the lines," they said that wasn't even a real service and that I had been taken advantage of. I know I was in a tough spot and they were the only ones who could help, but if I can prevent someone else from being taken advantage of, I'll feel a little better.
