Plumbline Services came to replace all of my smoke detectors
Plumbline Services came to replace all of my smoke detectors. Alex was my technician and did a superb job, from the moment he entered my home. Greeted my dogs (very important) and was able to give me a quote within 10 minutes. He installed the new detectors in record time, and answered my many questions, easily and courteously. Very pleasant and charming. This is not the first time I have used Plumbline. They replaced my furnace and air conditioner, with a great team I pinned as "The Three Musketeers". I have become a VIP with this company and the trust them completely. Have never been disappointed. Thanks, Alex, for providing me with excellent customer service.
I have used Plumbline for over 18 years
I have used Plumbline for over 18 years. They have replaced my furnace, air conditioner, hot water heater and expansion tank (twice) and replaced the breakers in my electrical panel. Their work is always good and their service technicians very knowledgeable. The technician who just replaced my water heater and expansion tank is ***. *** was courteous, professional and did a good job as well as answering questions about the condition of the existing equipment as well as proper maintenance of the new HW heater to ensure maximum efficiency and life. I feel that Plumbline is pricy but they provide service that is both quality and dependable. ***star overall *** 5 star
I called Monday morning for a clogged drain and they were there just a few hours later. Very professional and just as advertised
Very professional and fast service! I called them and they came out on the same day!
It is so hard to get good service lately. It is nice to be able to call a company and know that they will show up. The tech was courteous and professional. Would highly recommend this company.

We were having issues with our integrated smoke detectors- Plumbline sent *** to troubleshoot and resolve. Thats exactly what happened. *** sat down and logically and professionally worked through troubleshooting the situation to come up with his recommendation. Although he had the skill and confidence to solve our issues on his own, he recognized the importance of this solution and reached out to Different experts at Plumbline to collaborate and align on the best way to move forward. The end results were: Our issue was solved! The interaction was easy! Plumbline gained credibility in our eyes! We recognized that *** had our best interest in mind - the entire time. Thank you ***, thank you Plumbline!

was awesome! He got to my house first thing in the morning, and was able to get the job done way faster than I had expected. Thanks again *** and Plumbline!
fixed my AC for minimal trip charge when others wanted up to $8000. Puumbline is very lucky to have such an honest young man as an employee. He told me he liked sleeping at night. I highly recommend *** for your AC needs. His integrity and work ethic is outstanding. Thank you
provided outstanding service today! We have used Plumbline Services for several years and have always found their technicians to be prompt, courteous and respectful. *** was no exception and we are pleased that he was able to take care of our needs.
from Plumbline was amazing! I needed a new sump pump and had 4 plumbers from other companies come out to inspect the issue and give me a quote. Plumbline was by far the *** and price. They did a great job of confirming the appointment beforehand, and *** showed up right on time. He quoted me a very fair price and was able to replace my sump pump AND give my tankless water heater its yearly clean out in the same day. He was efficient, thorough, and very clean. I couldnt even tell he was in my house doing work. I even signed up for their VIP membership, I was so pleased with the service. Couldnt recommend Plumbline enough!
*** was outstanding!
was outstanding! So polite, so kind, so understanding of our home situation and treated us as if it was his home. If I could give 10 stars to him I would. After 5 years of calling Plumbline for help to figure out what was wrong with our furnace, not one technician has ever been able to fix it and always left saying it was fine. (Even with the *** service and the bi-annual maintenance.) But, *** was able to not only diagnose the problem in less that 5 minutes, he rushed to grab the part before they closed and returned to complete fix the problem. *** IS YOUR BEST TECHNICIAN! He is literally our hero as well. 48 hours without heat and *** was a rockstar! I cannot say enough nice things about him! If it was not for ***, I would give plumbline a 3/5.

Professional and friendly. Got the job done and was thorough in work. Left the work space *** using Plumbline but would use them again after my experience.
Great job. A home inspector advised that I had issues that needed to be addressed. The plumbline tech came to my house and looked over the recommendation and explained why nothing needed to be repaired. The tech wrote a summary of everything including building codes and reasons why everything was fine. Nice to have a company that doesn't just do things that aren't an issue.
I love working with plumbline! *** helped replace a fan and a fixture. He was able to fix the long standing errors in the prior installation. He is very friendly and very professional and I would absolutely recommend him as a tech and the company as a whole. Thanks for the great work today it means the world especially as we dive into winter!
Service was prompt and courteous. Too soon to know if it is a long term solution, but so far, so good!

The technician that came out spent more time and effort to test, diagnose and give us a honest assessment of what he felt was the problem with our A.C. system. We had another company install a new ac unit. (Within the last year). We have had them out repeatedly to fix problems to no avail. Tim came out did a complete evaluation of our system, and told us the ac unit was not necessarily the problem, so much as the furnace itself. The fan, motor and squirrel cage in our 18 year old furnace was the most likley cause for our system freezing over every other day. The other company never mentioned anything about replacing the furnace when the ac was i stalled. I Would recommend Plumbline to everyone. And hat's off to tim for being the professional that everone looks for.
Plumbline let me and my client down
Plumbline let me and my client down. As a RE/MAX realtor I will not recommend Plumbline again. A technician came out Tuesday afternoon and did a good job, but was unable to finish up. He was going to go get a new pressure gauge and come back Wednesday morning to see if the problem was his gauge or another gas leak. Repeated calls to Plumbline on Wednesday and Thursday finally resulted in an appointment between 8-1:00 Friday. No one showed up or called. After finally reaching a supervisor, she apologized and said the first available tech would come out. In the meantime my client is sitting in a cold empty home (this is an estate situation) for hours upon hours upon hours. Don't know how this will end up but this is very poor service for my client and makes me look very bad also.
Our basement floor drain was backing up on Wed
Our basement floor drain was backing up on Wed. We called Plumbline Services that afternoon and they sent someone to check things out same day! Turned out our main sewer line was the issue. Once we told them we wanted it replaced, they had it done by Friday afternoon! Now that's service! Everyone we spoke with was professional and friendly. (One guy even went out of his way to make friends with our fiesty pup to make things a bit easier.) They did a great job keeping the disturbances to a minimum and cleaned up well after. It was a pricey project (no getting around that), but we got a good payment plan at zero interest, which very few offer these days! Even though our situation was a real bummer, Plumbline made it as easy as possible. We are very happy with their service and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a trustworthy plumber that delivers high quality service!

While the actual plumbing work was done properly (clogged drains resulting in new pipes being installed from home to the street), the yard was left with a large mound of dirt from home to the sidewalk. We were told this would settle in a few months. It is now over six month and the mound appears not to have settled at all...despite watering and the winter rains and snows. We have had neighbors comment on this and one who retired from another company that does this work, said that company never left a property in this condition. Other passers-by said they were going to call Plumbline to comment or complain. It appears no attempt was made to restore the property to near what it had been before the work. While we had left the Plumbline sign in the yard after completion of the work, after we complained (and perhaps because other people had called), Plumbline removed the sign.We would not hire or recommend them.

Totally unacceptable, I made an appointment with Plumbline 3 days ago for them to come out and diagnose an open low pressure switch, my appointment window was 1-5pm today (Wed). At 4:45 pm I still had not received the promised call from a technician *** min before their arrival so I call them. The first person who answered the phone had no idea what was going on "I have no information for you", and when I received a call back I was told that their technicians are busy, can't come, and the next available appointment is Saturday! My AC hasn't worked in a week and the temperature will be in the 90's for the next 3 days!I received no apologies, and they were unwilling to adjust anything on their end to get me in sooner. Apparently it's my problem that they just can't cover all of the appointments that they make and they can't be bothered to proactively reach out to the customers when they can't honor an appointment.BEWARE: There is no such thing as a confirmed appointment from Plumbline.
I was so impressed today
I was so impressed today. I'm not one to leave much feedback. It has to be outstanding or suck before I tell others in a broad forum such as the ComplaintsBoard.com. Today was, awesome. Tim was my service person. The company said when I set the appointment they would confirm 24hours before. They did. I was also told the driver would contact me prior to arrival. He did. When Tim arrived, he took a look at my system. He provided a candid upfront estimate. Unlike other companies that have come out in the past, there was no crap sales push. (Previously I had a company come out and tell me the furnace was so bad it needed to be replaced) Tim quickly identified the issue. He put his heart into the work he did. He fixed the unit and it cost much less than a previous estimate. He even saw an opportunity to enhance the air flow of the unit and made a minor correction and it surprised me when he showed me. He simply said, I saw there this could be improved and I did it. Well done Tim, I hope you are the person they assign next time, cause you were really that good.
I scheduled plumbline to come out and check my humidifier which they had serviced less than a year ago
I scheduled plumbline to come out and check my humidifier which they had serviced less than a year ago. They had replaced a part at that time. When the technician came out he said the part Plumbline had replaced wasn't working but was under warranty so would be replaced free of charge. He then told me I should replace the piercing valve to prevent it from leaking. I did have him replace that valve which cost $389 Then he told me they were not going to replace the solenoid valve that was under warranty. He said it failed because of my water hardness. I would need to puchase a halo H in-line water filter for $434 or a halo guardian whole home water filtration system for $1107 for them to replace the solenoid valve. I told him I was not purchasing any filtration system and would agree to void any warranty on the new part they were installing. At that point he refused to replace the solenoid that was under warranty so he put the old one back in. I did pay $389 for the piercing valve he installed. He replaced that valve before he told me he had no intention of replacing the solenoid valve that was under warranty. The $389 was a waste! I didn't need that replaced if he wasn't going to fix the humidifier. All of this is documented. Plumbline was so busy upselling they didn't solve the problem. In fact, they refused to honor a warranty. *** R
A technician came to do a general checkup on the furnace and A/C at my house in Parker
A technician came to do a general checkup on the furnace and A/C at my house in Parker. He arrived at about 9 am. While inspecting the furnace, he broke the main control board. He also said the evaporator unit needed to be cleaned using a special solvent and estimated $640! I said no to that and I used a small vacuum to remove built up dust and debris. Then, he had to drive to downtown Denver and get a replacement control board. He also removed the electronic air filter located in the outside intake duct - nothing to do with the furnace. In total, he did not finish until late afternoon. The problem is that we had plans for the afternoon and had to cancel. Furthermore, he explained that the condensor coil on the A/C unit was so clogged that the compressor was overheating. He said he would have to remove access panels, use a brush and cleaning solution and water hose. He cleaned it just fine. BUT, I monitored him and it took about 30 minutes and I was charged nearly $500. This works out to a labor rate of about $1,000/hour. The next morning, we awoke to a very cold house and no working furnace. I called Plumbline and they sent out a different technician. He discovered that when the previous technician re-installed the electronic air filter, he failed to plug in the power line, which was just hanging in the duct. When the power line made contact with the metal duct, it caused a short and blew a fuse. My wife has a compromised immune system. So, I called customer service before the service call and was told that all their technicians wear a mask and gloves. This was the case with the first technician, but not the second one. I can only hope that she was not exposed. While the cost of the inspection was very low as a $79 special, I feel that it is just a license to charge consumers huge amounts of money for things that are easy to do and take little time. I will not call this company back.

I was shown estimated price for repair
I was shown estimated price for repair. Invoice was almost twice what he showed me on estimate of repair. I needed another repair done. His response was to get back with me. He was not too enthusiastic about this work I needed done. The work that he performed factoring time and materials used do not meet logical prices charged to me. He spliced in a section of copper tubing 3/4 dia. with 4 soldering welds for $572.11; he also spliced approximentally six inches of 1/2 inch dia copper line with two solders for $454.99. He also placed on my invoice a charge for $99 without my permission.

On July 1 one of your technicians hooked up our new gas grill. Since we already had a gas line, we assumed the service would be rather simple and quick. The technician quoted us $397.00 for the service. We believed that was high for the service but assumed that meant he would need to be at our home for quite some time because the service would be more complicated than we anticipated. When he completed the hookup in less than 30 minutes using few if any parts that did not come with the grill, we were quite surprised. We have to think there was some kind of mistake in charging us $397.00 for the service. On Wednesday, July 8, I called Plumbline about the issue and was told I needed to talk with someone ***. I was told he was not available but would call me back. When I did not hear from him, I called again on Thursday the 9th and again was told he was not available and an email would be sent to him requesting a call back as soon as possible. Again I did not hear from him. Since we did not hear from anyone at Plumbline, I sent ***, president of Plumbline, a letter dated July 12. I waited for a response. When I did not hear from Mr., I called Plumbline on July 26 requesting to speak with Mr.. My call went to voicemail where I left a message requesting a return phone call. I have never heard from either someone in customer service nor from the office of Mr.. Again, we have to imagine that a grill hook up could not legitimately generate a $397.00 charge. We were told at the time of the service that a receipt would be mailed to us since the technician was not able to give us a receipt as a result of some technical issue. That receipt has never been received. With all of this said, we feel it fair to ask for some (substantial) refund of the fee charged and a receipt for what we hope is a more reasonable charge.
On October 24, Plumbline came to my home to look into a back up in my basement. They said it was my main sewer line. They told me the cost for a particular blockage would cost me $5000.00, but if I replaced the whole line from the house to the blockage it would be only an additional $1800.00. When I asked how much it would cost to replace the pipe all the way to the city sewer in the middle of the street I was told an additional $8000.00. When I contemplated their pricing I was told that hey could fix it quickly and could match a competitor's price. I went ahead and had them replace the pipe for the $6800.00 being told that the rest of the line may not need anything. After the new line was in they now determined another blockage in the street and now told me it would be $8000.00 to fix that issue, however now to replace the entire pipe to the city sewer it would now be $14,400.00. I hired them believing that the most I would be charged would be $6800 for the house to sidewalk and believing the rest would be $8000 which would have been 14,800 total. They were now telling me the total would be $21,200.00. I had issues with them in getting the permit and the scope of the line as well as any negotiation or resolution. I still could not fully use my water as it could again back up into my home. They offered me a compromise of $12,000 to finish the job, however after looking into other contractors, I noted others would charge me between 7200 and 7550. They would not match that nor bring the price down at all. As a cancer patient, during a pandemic and being with out full use of my water, they were ignoring my pleas and after communication with the president he still insisted that it would hurt their profit if they were to do what they originally said they would do. I finally again requested the documents pertaining to the work that was done and any scope videos available as I had decided to have another contractor finish the job at a reasonable price. Many exchanges and letters and emails and phone calls later, I tend to believe that this was very much a bait and switch operation and I believe that they may have overcharged me for the 1/2 of the job that was done. I had two witnesses who heard what I was told and they simply refused to finish the job for anything less than $12,000. I am still in treatment for cancer and only hired them because it seemed reasonable to do the whole line for the $6800+8000. I have stressed so much over this and have not had water usage and will not have until the new contractor will come this week. I feel taken advantage of and treated wrongly as I was persuaded to get the first part done, egging me on to find that they significantly hiked their price for the 2nd half of the job. When I did not become docile and just get it done, they ignored me and simply did not respond to me. Horrible customer service and no excuses for treating a cancer patient during a pandemic with such disdain!
Plumbline was scheduled for a drain cleaning on 10/26
Plumbline was scheduled for a drain cleaning on 10/26. They had to remove my toilet to get to the main line. When they brought in their cleaning machine, it cracked the flooring transition strip between the hallway and bathroom. After cleaning the drain, the technician replaced the toilet but did not caulk the toilet as it was when he arrived. When I called to inquire, it was told to me that caulking is not in their process. The supervisor I spoke to said he would reimburse me the cost of the cleaning for the cost of repairing the floor. It is now 11/6 and I still have not seen the reimbursement. A sewer scope was preformed on 10/27 and that technician saw lots of roots still and recommended another cleaning. I called Plumbline and scheduled a 2nd cleaning on 10/30. During that cleaning, a 3-foot section of the drain cleaning tool broke off into my pipe underneath the house. They said I was responsible for the cost of retrieving the tool by cutting and replacing the section of pipe where the tool was. I argued my case with the supervisor and Plumbline still billed me $600 for the work to retrieve the broken tool on 11/2. A second sewer scope was completed on 11/3 and roots were still present but the main line was usable.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I believe that Plumbine did not apply best practices when diagnosing my sewer issue. When I finally received responses it was frustrating to not have a give and take conversation about each issue. I was talked down to and talked over and the decision was a foregone conclusion on their part. I believe I was not given the best advice by them in the beginning and being a senior made me feel like I'd been "had".
I hired Plumbline to come out to our house to clear our main sewer line because we were experiencing some slowing in the pipe. We were advised when we purchased the house we would likely have to have the main line cleared once a year in the spring due to root growth and other factors. Over the 8 years we have lived here we have had a variety of different companies come out to clear the line and have never had a problem despite several companies commenting that our main line was slightly outdated, had some minor offsets, and would eventually (within the next 10 years) have to be replaced. The technician from Plumbline came out to clear the line and in the process managed to get his auger line bound up in the pipe and was unable to pull it out. A Plumbline supervisor came out to assess the situation and look at it with a video scope. Upon looking at the problem the Supervisor was able to identify that the auger line was in fact balled up or flipped back on itself and that loop in the line was stuck on one of the minor offsets in the pipe. The technician and the supervisor then made the decision to cut the line with a pair of bolt cutters to release the tension on the line and then attempt to pull it out again. They were unsuccessful. I was then advised that the only solution would be for Plumbline to excavate the front yard at the location where the auger line was stuck and complete a spot repair of the sewer line. I was then quoted a cost to me of $5,200. When asked why I was responsible for the repair when they were the ones that had gotten their auger line stuck the Supervisor and then later a manager told me that it was the condition of the pipe that caused the auger line to ball up or flip on itself. I fundamentally disagree with this assessment and don't know how the Supervisor or Manager could make that assessment since neither of them were even at the location when the incident occurred. After much negotiation with the manager he offered to complete the repair at a discounted rate of approximately $2,900. At that point I still did not feel as though I should be responsible for the cost of any of the repairs. Especially since there aren't actually any repairs that need to be made it is simply the work that needs to be done for them to remove the auger line that they have gotten stuck. Plumbline then packed up their stuff (minus the 35' of auger line they got stuck in my sewer line), left the location, and advised me to call them if I wanted to pay them to come fix it. At that point I began calling other companies to find comparable quotes and get an idea of the best way to proceed with repairs. The first company that I spoke with quoted me a price for the repair and was appalled at how Plumbline had handled the situation. The second company I called was comparable in price but was also completely shocked at how Plumbline had handled the situation. Both of the other companies that I spoke with were extremely surprised that Plumbline was trying to charge me for the repair and both plumbers I spoke with advised that it was extremely unlikely that the offsets "caused" the problem but that it was instead likely that the technician over torqued the line and then once it was flipped on itself was unable to get the line back out. I then spent the next week trying to remove the auger line myself by grabbing it with a pair of vice grips rotating the line and pulling. I was able to remove about 30' of the line but it is still stuck. I called and asked Plumbline to come back out with a video scope to look at where it was stuck now and they agreed. The same supervisor came out and upon running his scope down the line advised that the head of the auger line was flipped back facing the wrong way and now it was lodged in the pipe under the house. He advised they could fix it but would have to pull up the floor, jackhammer the concrete slab and remove the line at a cost of $2,885 to me. I still do not feel as though I should be responsible for the cost of this repair as none of this is my fault. Throughout this whole exchange I do not feel as though I have been unreasonable. I believe that I have accommodated everything that Plumbline has asked of me. My sewer line is in fine working condition with the exception of the auger line which Plumbline has gotten stuck. There are no repairs needed except for the work necessary for them to get their auger line out of my sewer. If my sewer line were broken, not functioning, or otherwise impaired it would be a different story but it is not. It is unfair of Plumbline to ask me to pay when the only work that needs to be done is for them to retrieve the auger line that they have gotten stuck in my sewer.
