Bookonline is a scam
$80 room cost $140, plus a bonus $11 charge for insurance from some other company. Beware. How are they getting good (fake?) reviews? How do you tell if it's a real person? Tell a joke? Write a math equation? 80+60=140, that's a $60 rip off.
Trustpilot/Google, please stop showing bookonline.com as an option!
When I wrote a one star review on Trustpilot, they said my Trustpilot account was locked. That might explain how only 5 star reviews appear for some terrible places :-(
Beware of this company
I thought I was booking directly with the hotel when I called. Book online did not identify themselves and booked the wrong room. When I arrived at the hotel I learned that my reservation was not made with the hotel and the wrong room was booked. The hotel forced everything and I called book online to cancel the reservation. They have refused to give me a full refund for their error. This company is deceptive and refuses to take accountability for their mistake stakes.
Recommendation: Do not recommend
Beware of this company
BookOnline Review: Frustrating Experience with Exorbitant Fees and No Refund Policy
My experience with BookOnline (bookonline.com) left me highly dissatisfied. Despite the convenience of making a reservation online, the exorbitant service fees were quite off-putting. Within an hour of making my booking, I decided to cancel my reservation via their online portal. However, when I called a few days later to follow up on my refund, I was told that there was nothing that they could do to help me.
From what I gathered, had I called before cancelling my reservation, I would have received a refund. Similarly, if I had cancelled within the 24-48 hour window before my check-in date, I would have been eligible for a refund as well. Unfortunately, because I had already cancelled my reservation, I was told that I could not receive a refund at all. In fact, the representative I spoke with suggested that I contact my bank to dispute the charge, which did not sit well with me.
To say that my experience with BookOnline was frustrating would be an understatement. The fact that they made it so difficult for me to receive a refund after I had made multiple attempts to do so is highly disappointing. It is not customer service that I would expect from any reputable company, let alone an online booking service. Sadly, my experience with BookOnline leads me to believe that they are not to be trusted and I would not recommend anyone to use their services.
Overpaid and Underwhelmed: My Experience with BookOnline.com
I recently used the website bookonline.com to book a two-night stay at the Days Inn for $280. While I was initially excited about my trip, upon arriving at the hotel, I noticed several issues with my room. For starters, the front door was cracked, and the water in the shower was only lukewarm.
Disappointed with my accommodations, I went to the front desk to ask about checking out early. Much to my surprise, the hotel employee informed me that the actual cost for a two-night stay at the Days Inn without any reservation would only be $180. I couldn't believe that bookonline.com charged me $100 more for the exact same reservation.
It's a frustrating experience when you realize you've overpaid for something. If you decide to use bookonline.com, I recommend calling the hotel first to see how much their rates are before committing to anything. This way, you can ensure you're getting the best deal possible and avoid any unwelcome surprises at check-in. Honestly, it's a lesson learned for me, and I won't be using bookonline.com again.
BookOnline failed to honor cancellation policy - No refund received for an emergency cancellation over the holiday season
My experience with BookOnline (bookonline.com) was unfortunately not a positive one. I had made reservations for a visit with my son over the Christmas holiday season, but he had been in an accident that resulted in a serious injury and he had no choice but to go to the Emergency Room. Knowing that I needed to cancel our plans, I immediately called the number that had been given to me for BookOnline and was advised to send in necessary documents, which I did on December 23, 2021.
However, despite my attempts to communicate with them, I never received any response from BookOnline. Frustrated, I eventually disputed the charges with my credit card company and they made a chargeback. It was then that BookOnline sent my credit card company 20 pages of terms and conditions in an attempt to reverse the chargeback.
Unfortunately, even after several attempts to speak with their agents, BookOnline has yet to honor the terms of their agreement with me. According to their terms and conditions, I should be charged fees and taxes totaling one night's stay if I cancel after a certain time period. However, my reservation was for a 3-night stay, meaning that I should be due a refund for the remaining two nights.
Despite these circumstances, I have not been able to get any help from BookOnline. I have had to speak to at least 6 different agents without any resolution of my issue. It is concerning that they have been unable to honor their own terms and conditions, and I find myself frustrated and wondering how I can resolve this problem with them.
Unsympathetic and Unfair: My Experience with BookOnline
I recently had a terrible experience with BookOnline (bookonline.com). I had made a reservation and within minutes had to cancel due to a family emergency. Despite my situation, I was left extremely disappointed to find that they refused to refund my payment of over $600 for my two-night stay. As a single mother who needs every penny, this was not only disappointing but incredibly frustrating.
I spoke with multiple representatives who just told me the same thing - that there were no refunds available. I even explained that I have serious health issues and the stress of this situation was causing me to have a panic attack, but they didn't show any empathy or understanding.
What's even more disheartening is that they didn't seem to care about the negative review I planned to leave or even escalating it to the Better Business Bureau. It seemed like they were simply unconcerned with the impact this had on my life.
To the owner of BookOnline, I am pleading with you to please show some compassion and mercy in this situation. This is simply not fair, as I literally cancelled within minutes of making the reservation. I really need that money back and it hurts me to be in this situation.
In summary, I strongly caution anyone against using BookOnline for their bookings. I would not wish this horrible experience on anyone else.
Beware: BookOnline is a Scam Preying on Travelers - A Review
I recently had a terrible experience with BookOnline (bookonline.com) that I feel compelled to share. From my perspective, the company appears to be a scam that preys on unsuspecting travelers looking to book accommodations. Initially, I thought I was booking through the hotel's website but soon realized that I was actually using BookOnline's platform, which had created a website to look identical to that of the hotel.
When I arrived at the hotel, I was shocked to learn that BookOnline had double-booked me for the same exact nights using my credit card and a different name. I was charged over $1100, including $300+ in fees that they charged twice. Naturally, I contested the charges with my credit card company, but BookOnline refused to take responsibility for their actions. Even when I tried to dispute the charges directly with BookOnline, I was met with resistance, as the company claimed they were no longer handling customer disputes and had been terminated by the company that used to handle them due to their unscrupulous practices.
To make matters worse, I had to deal with a customer service representative who barely spoke English and had dogs barking and children crying in the background during our phone calls. This only added to my frustration and anger towards BookOnline.
In conclusion, I strongly urge anyone looking to book accommodations to steer clear of BookOnline. From my experience, they are a scam and will cause you nothing but headaches and financial losses. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere for your travel needs.
Deceptive Link and Poor Customer Service: My Frustrating Experience with BookOnline
I recently had a frustrating experience with BookOnline (bookonline.com) that I wanted to share. I initially didn't intend to use a third-party website to book a hotel, but unfortunately, I was misled by a deceptive link that took me to BookOnline instead of the actual hotel website. Despite this, I decided to proceed with booking a hotel for an upcoming funeral service. However, when I received my confirmation email, I noticed that my reservation had been made for that same night, just 12 hours in the future. I was understandably upset, since I was located in a different part of the country and had no intention of staying there that night.
Immediately upon receiving the email, I contacted BookOnline customer service to request a change in the booking date. However, I was met with a complete refusal to help me. Despite the fact that I had only just received the confirmation and had not intended to book for that night, they told me that I was calling outside of the 24-hour cancellation window and therefore could not make any changes. I was incredibly frustrated by this reaction and felt like BookOnline was not interested in being a reputable business.
In response to this experience, I have taken steps to refuse payment through my credit card company and report BookOnline to multiple sources to share my negative experience with other potential customers. I would advise others to be careful when using BookOnline and make sure to double-check any links before proceeding with a booking. Overall, my experience with BookOnline was disappointing and I hope that they will take steps to improve their customer service in the future.
Beware of BookOnline.com: A Fraudulent Booking Website
I recently came across BookOnline (bookonline.com) while searching for a website to make a booking. Unfortunately, my experience with this website was far from satisfactory. I found out the hard way that the service provided by BookOnline was fraudulent. What followed was a difficult journey trying to contact a representative of the company to air my complaints and request a refund. In a bid to get to a human, I had to pretend I was a potential customer before getting through to a foreign answering service, who then transferred me to their "customer service."
While on the phone, I requested for a direct number to customer support. However, the agent I spoke to couldn't provide one, which was disconcerting. I explained my situation to the customer service agent and provided evidence that I was entitled to a refund. She then put me on hold to speak to her manager, who shockingly refused to take my call or provide their name.
After this experience, I have reported BookOnline.com to several authorities, including the FTC, Google, and the BBB. The fact that Google promoted ads for a company engaged in fraudulent activities is disheartening.
In conclusion, I would like to caution anyone reading this review to be wary of BookOnline.com if you don't want to be scammed. It is an experience I wouldn't want anyone else to go through.
Dissatisfied and Frustrated: My Experience with BookOnline and the Comfort Inn
Personally, my experience with BookOnline was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. Despite their website indicating that the Comfort Inn was pet-friendly, upon arrival, I discovered that this was not the case. After contacting customer service in an attempt to rectify the situation, I was met with unhelpful and unaccommodating representatives. Despite having verbal confirmation from the Comfort Inn manager that they would transfer my reservation to the nearby Quality Inn, which is owned by the same company, BookOnline insisted on written confirmation before proceeding. When I explained that this was not necessary, I was met with a runaround and no resolution. Even when requesting to speak to a manager, I was left on hold for an unacceptable amount of time and eventually disconnected.
Overall, I strongly advise against using BookOnline for any reservations. The lack of responsiveness and concern for customer satisfaction is incredibly disappointing and not worth the hassle.
Disappointing experience with BookOnline - Poor Customer Service and Inflexible Policies
I recently had an experience with BookOnline (bookonline.com) that left me quite frustrated. I had booked a room for March 17th on March 8th around 5:00 pm. However, when I received the confirmation email, I noticed that the date was for the 8th instead. Realizing my mistake, I contacted the company within 20 minutes to change the date.
Unfortunately, the first customer service representative I spoke to informed me that they couldn't change the date as it had already been prepaid. I was advised to seek authorization from the property manager instead. I then contacted the property and was informed that BookOnline had been known to make such mistakes quite frequently. Despite their attempts to help, they were unable to make the date change. However, they did give me the name of the property manager and suggested that I seek his help.
After speaking to a different representative at BookOnline, I was left feeling extremely disappointed. I was informed that they could not change the date due to their cancellation policy. I requested to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold for over 25 minutes. When they finally came back, they stated that they would relay the message to the supervisor. Despite exchanging several emails, I was always given the same response - that they could not refund my money or change the date.
One of the three responses I received from different customer service representatives was particularly frustrating. It was as if they didn't care about the inconvenience they had caused me as a customer.
In the end, I decided to book through Hotel.com, who offered free cancellation. It was a relief to be able to book with a company that took customer satisfaction seriously. I hope that BookOnline can improve their customer service so that others do not have to go through the same negative experience that I did.
Terrible Experience with BookOnline: Non-Refundable Policy Not Clearly Stated
As someone who frequently stays in hotels, I know how tough it can be keeping track of reservations. Unfortunately, my experience with BookOnline did not make it any easier. I mistakenly booked a room twice, not realizing that I had already booked through the hotel's website six months prior. Today, I went online to book again, thinking I was on the hotel's website, but it turns out that I was on BookOnline.com. Despite not intending to prepay, my card was charged immediately for the whopping $1,100 reservation. It wasn't until later that I realized my error: A) I did not use the hotel website and B) I already had a reservation saved which was $500 cheaper because I booked months ago.
I contacted customer service immediately after making the reservation and explained my mistake. While they did allow me to cancel my reservation, they informed me that it was non-refundable, and that it was ultimately my fault for not reading the fine print. I was frustrated, to say the least, especially given that the cancel policy for the hotel was only one day prior to my travel dates, well within the timeframe in which I was trying to cancel. Upon further review, I noticed that they slyly slipped a non-refundable policy further down in the fine print and it left a bad taste in my mouth.
This is a classic "mistakes happen" scenario, and although I reached out to customer service as soon as I realized my error, they were not willing to make any exceptions for me. In fact, the customer service agent's English was difficult to understand, and despite my request to speak to a manager, they would not allow me to do so. At the end of the day, I'm left feeling like their business practices are sneaky and unreasonable. I'm currently in the process of disputing the charge with my credit card company, but one thing is for sure: I will never be using BookOnline again.
BookOnline Complaints 11
Hotel reservations not being able to cancel.
On 11/8/2023 I made hotel reservations using Book Online. I needed to add another night and there where no rooms available. I since canceled the reservations on the same day. Support contacted me via e-mail wanting to know why I canceled. I e-mail them back and stated what I noted above. Support contacted me again that this is non-refundable. The hotel states I had until 11/21/23 to cancel. Support says it's still not refundable. This business should be shut down as I've done research and I'm not the only one to be scammed by this company.
Thanks for your help.

Review: BookOnline Hotel Booking Website - Beware of Sneaky Fees and Anti-Cancellation Policy
Have you ever been caught in the trap of a sneaky hotel booking website? Unfortunately, BookOnline (bookonline.com) falls into that category. While appearing like a legitimate hotel website with logos and branding in all the right places, they cunningly impose a sneaky $250 "processing" fee on top of your regular room charges. The catch? They charge your credit card upfront, leaving you feeling like you've been duped.
But that's not all. BookOnline also has a twisted cancellation policy, which is more like an anti-cancellation policy. If you attempt to cancel your reservation, they will cancel it - but refuse to credit your money. That's right; the "no cancellation" policy applies to the fee they charged you, even though it was not disclosed upfront.
It's no secret that customers feel cheated when they experience a scam like this, especially when they relied on the promises of the website. And when you're planning a getaway, the last thing you need is an unnecessary financial burden. We'll tell it to you straight - BookOnline is not the way to go. It's advisable to stick to the more reputable hotel booking websites to avoid dealing with any surprise fees or shady policies.
BookOnline: A Disappointing Experience - Cautionary Review
My recent experience with BookOnline (bookonline.com) left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I had made a reservation for a hotel through their platform and was excited to spend a relaxing weekend away. However, my excitement quickly turned to dismay when I arrived at the hotel and was informed that there were no rooms available for me.
Apparently, the hotel had received a call from BookOnline about my reservation, and had informed them that they had no availability. Despite this, BookOnline still went ahead and charged me for the reservation and sent me a confirmation email.
To make matters worse, I ended up wasting cab fare traveling to the hotel and then had to go through the hassle of finding another hotel at the last minute. It was not the relaxing weekend I had envisioned!
To add to my frustration, I have yet to receive a refund from BookOnline for the reservation they sold me for a hotel that had no rooms available. It's incredibly disappointing to be left high and dry like that, and I feel like I have wasted not just my money, but also my time and energy.
Given my negative experience, I would definitely caution others against using BookOnline. I don't want anyone else to have to go through what I did!

Booking.com versus BookOnline.com: Beware of Potentially Misleading Prices and Fees
It is important to note that there is an unfortunate discrepancy between Booking.com and BookOnline.com. While searching for the price for the former, the latter may appear as the booking page, leading to confusion and potentially added fees. In my personal experience, I was met with unexpected "tax recovery charges and service fees" that amounted to a total of $41.39, an unwelcome surprise that I had little to no recourse to correct.
Regrettably, this misleading practice can have serious consequences, as the hotel in question was unaware of these added fees and I was charged more than I anticipated. As such, it is advisable to exercise caution and diligence when navigating these websites to ensure that you are not met with unexpected charges or fees. In this case, I would recommend avoiding BookOnline altogether to avoid any confusion and ensure that you are receiving the most accurate and transparent pricing for your desired booking.
Unfair Fees and Poor Service: My Negative Experience with BookOnline Booking Site
As a human being who recently used BookOnline (bookonline.com) to book a hotel room in my hometown, I unfortunately had a negative experience that I think others should be aware of. I was referred to BookOnline by the Fairfield site and thought they looked like a legitimate website. However, much to my dismay, I was charged an additional fee of over $200 that they would not cancel, leaving me feeling cheated and frustrated with the service.
In an effort to try and rectify the situation, I decided to dispute the charge through my credit card company as I felt that it was an unfair and unjust fee. I was in a rush at the time of booking as our water pump had broken, and I needed to stay in my hometown to sort it out, so I didn't have much time to research alternatives or scrutinize the booking process more closely. However, upon further reflection, I feel that I was misled by the site, and I want to ensure others don't fall victim to the same tactic.
To add further insult to injury, when I called back to complain about the additional charge, they offered me a small 15 per cent discount, which, while appreciated, did not make up for the significant amount they had already overcharged me. Despite the partial refund, I am still pursuing the dispute as I think it is the right thing to do and may help prevent others from being similarly victimized.
Overall, I want people to know that while BookOnline may look and feel like a legitimate booking site, in my experience, they are not to be trusted. I hope that my negative experience will serve as a warning to others and encourage them to carefully evaluate any website they use to book their travel accommodations. These types of scams need to be exposed and stopped, so that consumers can have confidence and trust when using these online services in the future.
Unfair pricing and lack of transparency: My disappointing experience with BookOnline
As a customer who recently used BookOnline to book a hotel stay, I must say I was highly disappointed with the experience. Not only did your booking platform overcharge us, but the fees and taxes added on were exorbitant and far from transparent. We were shocked to see an additional $50 added to our bill for these mysterious "taxes and fees," as well as charges for your services.
What's even more frustrating is that we learned that we could have booked directly with the hotel for a significantly lower rate of $71, rather than the $136 we ended up paying through your platform. Given how questionable the additional fees seemed, we reached out to your representative to inquire about them, and were met with vague and unhelpful responses.
When we asked about how much the fees and taxes would amount to in total, your representative shockingly admitted that he couldn't give us an accurate figure until he had entered our account details, which seemed pretty shady. Given the lack of transparency and the unfair pricing model, we will definitely think twice about using your services again in the future.
Overall, I must say I was quite disappointed in the lack of honesty and straightforwardness from BookOnline. We will certainly be circulating our negative experience with your platform to our friends and acquaintances in the hopes that they won't fall victim to similar unfair pricing practices.
Beware of Hidden Fees when Booking with BookOnline: My Experience at Comfort Inn Kanab
I recently had a less than satisfactory experience booking a hotel room at the Comfort Inn in Kanab, UT. When I called to make my reservation, I was disappointed to learn that they were sold out of rooms. The front desk agent suggested that I try booking online through BookOnline.com, a website I was not familiar with. I went ahead and tried it, as I was desperate for a place to stay.
I was quoted a room rate of $119, which was in line with what I had paid in the past while staying at this hotel. However, when I received my credit card statement, I was shocked to see that I had been charged $167.92. I immediately assumed there had been an error, as this charge exceeded what I had agreed to pay. I called the hotel to inquire about the discrepancy.
To my dismay, I was greeted by an automated voice that first asked if I needed a receipt. When I did request one, it was promptly emailed to me. Upon reviewing the receipt, I was horrified to discover that the difference in price was attributed to an assortment of additional fees. These included a "resort fee," a "cleaning fee," and even a fee charged by the website itself. I felt completely ripped off!
As a frequent guest of the Comfort Inn, I believe that this experience was not representative of their typical customer service. The lack of transparency surrounding these hidden fees was disappointing, and I would advise others to exercise caution when booking through BookOnline.com or any similar websites. While the added fees may have been legal, they certainly left me feeling deceived and with a bitter taste in my mouth.
Scammed by BookOnline: My Personal Experience with the Site
My experience with BookOnline (bookonline.com) was extremely disappointing and I felt scammed by the company. Despite not completing the transaction after entering my card details, they managed to charge me $493.10 without my consent. It was only thanks to my personal web browser history that I noticed the unauthorized charge. I was forced to cancel my card and go through the hassle of transferring my other bills to a new account. Furthermore, I can't help but question the validity of any positive reviews they receive, since in my own case, I never even received an itinerary. I strongly advise against trusting this company with any of your personal information, as my experience leaves me giving them 0 stars.
Bookonline.com: Unreliable and Untrustworthy - My Horrific Experience Trying to Book a Hotel
My experience with bookonline.com was absolutely horrific. I booked a hotel in Roswell, Georgia and specifically asked the representative if it was located near the I75, to which he confidently responded with a resounding "yes". To my absolute dismay, when I arrived at my destination, I found myself in Roswell, New Mexico - where behind my shock and the incredible inconvenience I was confronted with, I discovered that there is no I75 in New Mexico.
When I immediately contacted bookonline.com, they refused to take responsibility for their mistake and denied my request to rebook or even refund me. In fact, they demanded that I write a letter explaining the situation and promised to consider reviewing my case. This seemed absurd considering that they had a recorded conversation where their representative had lied to me about the hotel being located off I75. The entire ordeal was incredibly frustrating and time-consuming; it took the company over a week to finally get back to me - only to declare that they were not at fault and would not refund me.
I was fortunate enough to get my hard-earned money back through stopping the payment with my Visa. I wholeheartedly agree that bookonline.com is a racket and would not recommend anyone to waste their precious time, money, and energy with such an unreliable and untrustworthy company. The entire episode has left a bad taste in my mouth and frankly turned me off from ever considering using their services again in the future.
Fraudulent BookOnline.com left me overcharged and out of luck, steer clear
My experience with BookOnline was an utter disappointment. I was in a rush to book a room in Chandler, Arizona, and decided to go with BookOnline.com as it came up in my search. Despite my lack of prior knowledge about the site, I thought I'd give it a try. I booked a room for 157.00 dollars, and everything seemed fine until I checked my account and realized that I was overcharged by a hundred bucks!
When I tried to reach out to the company, I found myself in a hopeless situation with no one to talk to. The automated voice on the 800 number kept directing me to speak with the hotel directly, leaving me clueless and frustrated. I tried contacting the website for close to 20 minutes with absolutely no luck. Finally, I had to call my bank to rectify the situation and get my money back.
My experience with BookOnline was nothing short of a nightmare, and I strongly advise against using their services. They seem to be a fraudulent website that lacks essential customer support. I regret trying bookonline.com and would advise you to check elsewhere. Verify that your booking websites can offer reliable assistance in case of any unexpected incidents. There are better options like Priceline, which could give you a smooth booking experience without any troubles. Please steer clear of bookonline.com, and save yourself a huge headache. I wouldn't recommend this site to anyone, and if I could give them negative stars, I would.
Avoid BookOnline (bookonline.com) at all costs - my experience was a frustrating and disappointing scam
My experience with BookOnline (bookonline.com) was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I had made a reservation at a hotel through their website, but upon arrival, the hotel informed me that they did not have the room available. To my surprise, when I contacted the hotel, their service desk person confirmed that others had experienced the same problem. This immediately raised red flags and I suspected a scam.
I wasted no time in canceling my reservation, contacting BookOnline to do so. However, they refused to cancel without charging me a non-refundable fee, which I found outrageous considering that they were charging me for a room that they did not even have. It was incredibly frustrating to argue with them over such a blatant issue.
What seemed even more suspicious was that the charge on my credit card appeared under the name "getaroom.com," which was not the website I had made my reservation through. I reached out to them but was met with an unprofessional response - they simply hung up on me before I could even explain my situation. Even though their website says that there is free cancellation, my reservation was dated as non-refundable two days before my arrival.
Frustrated and angry at this point, I had to take it up with my credit card company to dispute the charge and block any further transactions from BookOnline. As a traveler, it is incredibly disheartening to encounter such unprofessional and scam-like behavior from an online booking website. I highly recommend avoiding BookOnline (bookonline.com) at all costs.
Booked a room for a nightly rate of $167. Was charged $276. $109 was listed on the receipt as "Tax and Recovery Fee". The taxes on the room were around $20, so they basically charged me $90 to use their website. The hotel rate they got me was no better than as if I walked in off the street, as I asked when I checked in.
