We joined Harvest Hosts this year and are so thankful we did!
We joined Harvest Hosts this year and are so thankful we did! Each host stay has been a unique, memorable, and quality experience. We really appreciate the online booking feature, and also appreciate HH's ongoing commitment to improvements. We feel like we are part of a community and appreciate the rules for members and hosts. This is also a wonderful membership to have in these changing times and helps to provide an opportunity to safely and considerately share life and support local communities. Thank you HH and keep up the great work!
We have been members of Harvest Host since 2018
We have been members of Harvest Host since 2018. Since then we have traveled thousand of miles across the United States. Our Harvest Host stops are an important part of our travel planning. Every Host we have been blessed to meet has been AMAZING! *** in Nebraska even offers a "Breakfast Basket" to his guest for a small fee. What a great idea for RVer's to have coffee and breakfast ready for them before they hit the road. Some places are so much fun that we have visited them numerous times. Thank you to Harvest Host for making on time on the road even more fun! Norm and Jodi
We have been Harvest Host members for several years. We have stayed at alpaca farms, wineries, breweries, distilleries, small stores and other places from coast to coast. We have always had a great experience with our hosts. We've learned a lot about different businesses and have always been treated very well. It is a great program for us as RVers and (from what I have heard when I spoken with them about it) the business owners.
We joined Harvest Host in March. Just stayed at our 5th Harvest Host. Each and everyone has been a different, but wonderful experience. The people have been so welcoming and the parking sites have been great. One of the best things for us about this program is that it forces us to stop earlier and enjoy the evening at our host site, instead of driving until dark and trying to find a truck stop or *** to stay at. Can't wait to do more traveling and continue to use this great program.
We are travelers more than campers, and we find Harvest Hosts a perfect fit for us in our self-contained, small Class B RV. Our experiences have all been very positive - wineries, breweries, farms, golf courses, etc.! Harvest Hosts works very hard to provide a vast number of choices to the RVers and to make reservations and communications as convenient as possible. From what we hear from the hosts, HH works just as hard for them.
I love this program! We used to think it would only be worth our while if we were planning a long distance/duration trip, where we could use HH for the occasional stop along the way. Then we got the idea that HH stays could be a destination in and of themselves! Even if they are only an hour away! That shift in thinking led us to join, and we've enjoyed quite a few stays this summer and fall. There were a couple of duds, but for the most part we've found some great places to visit, which we will recommend and to which we will return. I highly recommend this service! It's totally worth the annual fee! Happy stays!

Our experiences with harvest hosts have been wonderful. Its a great opportunity to see people and places you normally would not . We love visiting breweries, wineries and farms.
We've had all great experiences staying in Harvest Hosts locations and are very glad we joined a few years ago. Though we travel mainly for vacations and short getaways from home, we have always found welcoming and interesting HH overnight locations with wonderful hosts! We have a small dog and she has always been welcomed too. We highly recommend being HH members and getting to make new friends through this wonderful program!
We joined Harvest Hosts in July, didn't know how much we'd use it but it sounded like a good deal. I was wrong, it's a great deal, we've used Harvest Hosts only about ten times but so far we've enjoyed every one, haven't had a bad experience yet. I've told friends " Sounds like a good deal, pay your yearly dues and stay overnight for free, just stop in and check out there place, make a nominal purchase ( $20 suggested ) so far my average is about $100 a night, and we love it". If we stopped just passing through we would still be spending money, and still be looking for an rv park or campground for the night and in our current state of the pandemic it's not easy finding a last minute place to stay. Most of the hosts we've talked to have shared the feeling that Harvest Hosts is a win win for every one, RVers get a place to spend the night, and hosts make a sale that they may not have otherwise. Like I said, We Love it.
Harvest Host offers not only a free place to stay, but many different types of entertainment / activities. A great way to spend a night and meet some awesome business owners!
This is a Win-Win-Win for everyone
This is a Win-Win-Win for everyone. Member for over two years that has more than paid for itself. Stayed at farms, wineries, museum, amusement center and added the golf upgrade. I played multiple times on my last trip across the country. Always welcomed warmly by the small business owner. Some offer electric hookup. Most locations easy to find via GPS and feel very safe. Love to bring home the products of the business as gifts for my friends and family. More locations every month and a new reservation system to make it easy, although calling is more personal. HH customer service is very responsive via email when I had a question. I recommend it to all everyone who travels in an RV of any type.
A great resource for traveler's in transit! Some of our best photos and most memorable stays have been at Harvest Host locations.
Harvest Hosts is an amazing program that brings the RV community and small businesses together. We have experienced stays at several Harvest Hosts and had a wonderful time at each of them.
Small businesses makes up the back bone of America. In our several Harvest Host visits we have acquired a greater appreciation for the value and goodness of them. We are great fans of HH both because they provide a valuable service for us as RVers and raise the awareness and importance of small businesses.
We just purchased our first motorhome and we are loving the opportunities provided by the Harvest Host organizations. We love visiting the wineries and distilleries far from home knowing that we will have a safe place to stay after enjoying their products and services. We have found their model and the hosts involved to be very reliable and enjoyable.
This business model connects wineries, farms, breweries, museums, and golf clubs with self reliant campers looking for a safe overnight stay
This business model connects wineries, farms, breweries, museums, and golf clubs with self reliant campers looking for a safe overnight stay while enroute to a destination. It is a better alternative than a truck stop or retail parking lot. While the stay is free, the expectation is that the camper will spend an money on whatever the vendor is offering. It could be a wine tasting, some produce, or dinner in the clubhouse. This creates a new revenue stream for the vendor and an enjoyable experience for the camper. On a recent trip, we stayed at an outdoor metal sculpture museum, a rodeo venue, a historic fort, and a golf club. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed good conversation. Will always be working in these stays with our longer trips.
Harvest Hosts has added over 500 new locations since we signed up at the beginning of the year
Harvest Hosts has added over 500 new locations since we signed up at the beginning of the year. We have used them many times in our travels, and each time we were introduced to yet another wonderful small business willing to show us how they do their thing! We've stayed at several wineries & distilleries (all wonderful), but our favorite is *** in Canon City, CO! Harvest Host stays are easy to reserve and every host has always treated us as a welcome guest. In fact, I think they like to treat us a little more special! I highly recommend HH as the best way to find both a last minute overnight, and a great way to catapult a 2-day travel period with a short overnight stay (we like to travel on Sat and Sun with a Sat night HH stay). This is an easy 5-star recommendation!
Harvest Host has been the best part of my new travels since retiring
Harvest Host has been the best part of my new travels since retiring. I only wish there were more Hosts in less traveled areas. I often avoid the major highways and love to visit those farms, breweries, distilleries and vineyards. When planning my trips, I always look for options with Harvest Hosts first because I know it will be a unique and pleasurable experience along my route - some place that I would have never seen otherwise, and importantly that it's safe. I have actually changed some directions in my plans to stay with a Harvest Host. Being a Harvest Host member has made the journey just as much a part of the experience as the destination. I highly recommend HH to anyone interested in new experiences and creating a journey worth remembering. It's been that for me. I think you'll love it!
Since joining Harvest Hosts 5 months ago we have stayed several times at wineries and golf courses
Since joining Harvest Hosts 5 months ago we have stayed several times at wineries and golf courses. All of our experiences with the different hosts have been amazing. Fantastic views, quiet nights and proximity to other sights and activities have been the standard. Also all the hosts have been really nice and personable! Harvest Hosts works well for us especially when traveling to other areas of the country. Staying with a Harvest Hosts becomes part of the vacation instead of just a way point. We can usually get reservations just a few days if not the day before our arrival. We always make a purchase or play a round of golf. As long as you are self contained (most rv's can be self contained for at least one night) you can benefit from joining Harvest Hosts. Thank-you for raising the bar on an already great life style!
My husband and I recently took a road trip, in our campervan, from Colorado to South Carolina
My husband and I recently took a road trip, in our campervan, from Colorado to South Carolina. We decided to sign up with Harvest Host because we thought the concept was very unique and felt it would be nice to meet people along our journey. We stayed at a total of 5 host sights and must say each one was special in its own way. Meeting the owners and other campers was delightful. The business owners were exceptionally nice and many went the extra mile to make our stay more memorable. We stayed at all dog friendly places, because we were traveling with our dog Dalia. I can't say enough how welcoming all the hosts were of Dalia. Finally, having the flexibility of booking our overnight stay was especially nice, because there were some days we weren't sure how long we were going to drive. I highly recommend Harvest Hosts.
We have been members of Harvest Hosts for almost two years!
We have been members of Harvest Hosts for almost two years! Our experiences staying at many different types of Hosts has been wonderful. We have stocked our RV freezer with wonderful products from several farms. We have settled into an outdoor deck or patio after a long day on the road and enjoyed a great meal (prepared by others who also did the dishes) and relaxed while engaged in friendly conversations! Making an overnight stop, in a welcoming place along our route, makes the journey even sweeter. Thank-you to all the Hosts who have graciously shared their passion for the business they have nurtured. Seeing other travelers supporting small and sometimes out-of-the-way businesses restores our faith in humankind and the knowledge that small businesses are the backbone of our economy! Cheers to Harvest Hosts and may many more businesses join it's ranks! Connie F

My husband and I, along with our 2 dogs, are currently traveling full-time in our Mercedes Sprinter campervan and really love Harvest Host!
My husband and I, along with our 2 dogs, are currently traveling full-time in our Mercedes Sprinter campervan and really love Harvest Host! We've stayed with about 20 hosts over the last few months and have had many very positive experiences. We especially enjoy the farm-based hosts and love the opportunities to enjoy nature. We've had some incredible sunrise and sunset experiences, which is my very favorite thing to photograph. We've also had the opportunity to purchase some amazing farm-fresh items such as fresh eggs, high-quality meats/cheeses, produce, baked goods, etc. I like my membership even more now that they've rolled out the Request-a-Stay feature and you can make reservations online versus needing to call every host. I've never needed to contact Harvest Host for support, but I feel sure they would take care of any issues quickly. We definitely plan on renewing our membership next year and look forward to many more Harvest Host stays.
Harvest Host is one of the best things out there for folks who RV a lot
Harvest Host is one of the best things out there for folks who RV a lot. I am currently on a 5 month, 10,000 mile trip in my RV and I've stopped at several Hosts along the way. The majority of venues are great as far as parking a Big Rig and the venues quite often offer amenities such as food or interesting things to see or do. Many of the Hosts offer opportunities to experience something that the average RV traveler would otherwise overlook. The enhancements that Harvest Hosts has made to the website makes it very easy and convenient to request a stay. Many now have the Request a Stay option on the site that allows one to make the request on line and an answer is forthcoming quickly. With campgrounds becoming ever increasingly crowded and with people double booking sites (which ties up sites at both private and public campgrounds) having Harvest Host as an option for a short stay is great. Having the rules that the Administrators have in place also makes it more likely that abuse by people much less likely. It's a great concept and very affordable for most anyone.

Harvest Hosts has been the best investment we have made since going full time in our Motorcoach 2 years ago. It gives us the availability of a one night stop here and there, when needed and has proven to be extremely useful. The people we have met during our travels have been wonderful.

We love harvest Host. It's great when we have a long commute from 1 place to another. We use a host as our midpoint stop. We have discovered some amazing places, some of which we will definitely return.
