BUYER BEWARE!! Stay Away from Traveluro
BUYER BEWARE! STAY AWAY from TRAVELURO! I learned the hard way when I booked a hotel with them. The hotel misinformed us about the room we booked, so we needed to cancel once we were at the hotel. I called Traveluro and spoke to a representative about the hotel not having any rooms that we booked, and that the hotel had no issue giving us a refund. Traveluro just needed to speak with them, which they did as I was there for the conversation with the hotel staff. Traveluro said they would issue me a refund for my #300 room reservation. One month later, I still have not received it and when I called them to discuss this, no one would speak to me. Obviously they are a scam outfit and they should be shut down. They literally steal people's money. One star is too generous for these criminals.RO
Gave 2 star because that’s the lowest I could do
Booked a hotel with them. Got to the hotel, it smelled like pet urine, strong chemical cleaners and cigarettes, floors were dirty and the sheets and pillows had hair all over it.
Called Traveluro and they said they were going to contact the hotel to get a refund to me if the hotel agreed to do so.
I talked to the person at the hotel that said she would authorize the refund as she understood my concern.
It has been a week and Traveluro WILL NOT respond! No contact what do ever! So so disappointed.
I meant 1 star, not 2
Mixed Experience with Traveluro: Great Room, Frustrating Payment Issues
My experience with Traveluro was a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, the room they booked for us was absolutely fantastic! It was spacious and comfortable, and we definitely got our money's worth. However, there were some major issues with their service that left us feeling frustrated and disappointed.
First of all, we were not informed that the room we booked was a joint room. This was a bit of a surprise when we arrived, and it would have been nice to know ahead of time. But that was a minor issue compared to what came next.
When we arrived at the Hilton Garden Inn, we were told that Traveluro had not paid for our room. We had already paid Traveluro when we booked the room, so we were confused and frustrated. We tried calling Traveluro, but no one answered the phone. The hotel also tried calling them, but they couldn't get through either. We spent almost an hour trying to sort out the payment issue, but we couldn't get any answers.
Finally, we had to authorize the hotel to charge our credit card so we could check in. This was a major inconvenience, and it left us feeling very uneasy about the whole situation. We were promised that the hotel would keep trying to contact Traveluro, but we didn't hear anything back until the next day.
When we finally did get in touch with someone at Traveluro, they were able to resolve the payment issue. But by that point, we were already feeling frustrated and disappointed with their service. We decided not to use Traveluro again, and we would caution others to be wary of their payment practices.
Overall, our experience with Traveluro was a bit of a rollercoaster ride. While we appreciated the great room they booked for us, the payment issues left a bad taste in our mouths. We hope that they can improve their service in the future so that other travelers don't have to go through the same frustration and inconvenience that we did.
Traveluro Review: Positive Experience with Affordable Local Bookings, but Proceed with Caution
I recently used Traveluro to book a hotel for a local staycation just 5 days in advance. The price was unbeatable, but it was non-refundable. At first, I didn't think much of it, but then I started to worry after reading some negative reviews about the site. My anxiety got the best of me, and I decided to email them for further confirmation and any type of guarantee that my booking went through.
To my surprise, they responded within a few hours, confirming with the hotel and sending me the hotel's confirmation number. They even provided me with a special "VIP" phone number to call if there were any issues during my stay. When I arrived at the hotel, check-in was a breeze, and I couldn't believe that I had managed to get a room in a 4-star hotel at such a steep discount, especially from a site that so many people were calling a scam.
However, I'm still a bit wary of using Traveluro to book anything outside of my state or even outside of the country, given the negative reviews I've read. Despite this, I'm giving them 4 stars for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I received 3 separate confirmation numbers from them, and only one of them matched the hotel's confirmation number format. Secondly, while they responded to my emails quickly, their responses were riddled with grammatical errors and were rather vague, which didn't do much to soothe my worries.
Overall, I had a positive experience with Traveluro, and I would consider using them again for local bookings. However, I would advise others to do their research and proceed with caution when booking through this site.
Traveluro Review: Misleading Reservation Process for The Ranch at Death Valley
So, I was looking for a place to stay in Death Valley in March and I stumbled upon Traveluro. They had only one room left at The Inn at Death Valley, so I quickly made a reservation. However, when I received my confirmation paperwork, I noticed that it mentioned The Ranch at Death Valley instead. I was a bit disappointed, but I decided to give it a try.
I had to call Traveluro a few times to clarify some things about my reservation. The first representative I spoke to was in the Philippines and it was very noisy in the background. The other two sounded like they were working from home and one of them had a rooster crowing in the background. It was a bit strange, but I guess that's how things work these days.
When I arrived at The Ranch at Death Valley, I was pleasantly surprised. The property was very nice and well-maintained. However, I still felt a bit misled by Traveluro. I later found out that they had booked my reservation through Expedia, which made things a bit confusing. The Inn (& Ranch) at Death Valley had a hard time finding my reservation because none of my Traveluro Booking or Confirmation Numbers were visible to them.
Overall, I had a good experience at The Ranch at Death Valley, but I wish Traveluro had been more transparent about the reservation process. It would have saved me some confusion and frustration.
Bad Company!
Pre-paid weeks in advance (**67332) got confirmation: paid extra for Times Square close to Broadway. Then NO notice hotel switched: I arrived to CLOSED HOTEL. Thought I got SCAMMED as took nearly 1-hr to speak to representative: was moved to hotel 12 blocks further from the tourist section. I called Traveluro again (M*****) that location is UN-acceptable and hotel was $50/night cheaper on hotel's website. Traveluro opened claim for difference as I was staying 8-nights: told 2-3 mos for reply...
I ended walking 15-blocks back to hotel past 11-pm many nights as I was reluctant to use subway that hour. After nearly 6-mos again NO reply so I called Traveluro back: supervisor (G****) asked ME to call that hotel for this $400 difference then provide Traveluro with the confirmation! I informed this "supervisor" my business is with Traveluro, NOT with the hotel! Traveluro should've called 6-mos ago! Why should I be tasked with this? My patience was unrewarded and my reasonable request DENIED
Recommendation: DO NOT USE TRAVELURO (!) BEWARE
Do NOT use Traveluro! Beware!
Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Traveluro
I had the pleasure of booking a trip to Pismo Beach, located in beautiful Central California, through Traveluro about a month ago. Like any diligent traveler, I purchased a non-refundable room in advance, fully anticipating a mild winter season in California. However, the month of January brought an unexpected wave of extreme weather conditions, including high winds and flooding, that raised safety concerns for both myself and my mother.
Out of an abundance of caution, I reached out to Traveluro's customer service team to request a cancellation due to the severe weather conditions. Unfortunately, I was met with an unsympathetic response. The customer service representative indicated that my cancellation request had not been made in a timely manner, as it was less than two weeks prior to my scheduled arrival. This seemed unreasonable given that the state of California had just declared a State of Emergency. Moreover, it appeared that the representative didn't even bother to read my email carefully, as they noted the wrong hotel name in their response.
It was disappointing to see that Traveluro didn't seem to prioritize the safety and well-being of their customers, particularly during unpredictable weather events. As a last resort, I even attached a copy of Traveluro's cancellation policy related to unsafe weather conditions, only to find that it was not being adhered to.
In summarizing my experience, I have to say that I was left feeling quite frustrated and disappointed in Traveluro's handling of my cancellation request. What should have been a straightforward and empathetic response turned into a customer service failure that left me feeling like I would not consider booking through this platform again.
Traveluro Review: A Stressful Experience When Booking Through the Website
When I decided to book a holiday through Traveluro (traveluro.com) for our trip to Miami in March 2022, I was excited for the adventure that awaited us. However, a few days after booking, I reached out to the Holiday Inn to confirm our reservation - just to be safe. I was happy to hear that they had our booking and felt like we were all set.
Fast forward to two weeks before our trip, and I had a feeling that I should double-check the reservation with the hotel again, since this was my first time booking through this website. I was shocked to find out that the Holiday Inn had cancelled our reservation. Suddenly, I felt a wave of panic wash over me - I didn't want to arrive in Miami with nowhere to stay, especially since many hotels in the area were already sold out. So, I scrambled and booked a backup hotel with free cancellation, just in case.
At the same time, I contacted my credit card company to try to pursue legal action and dispute the fact that Traveluro didn't fulfill their agreement. My credit card company informed me that I had until the day after our scheduled flight to receive a response from Traveluro. However, two days before our departure, I received a text message with a new confirmation booking number from Traveluro. I was cautiously optimistic and called the Holiday Inn yet again to confirm that the new booking had been made under my name and was paid in full.
At this point, I made a decision to take a chance and cancelled my backup hotel. Thankfully, we did end up making it to Miami and our hotel room was ready for us. While everything ended up working out in the end, I can't say that the journey there was without stress and headaches. It was certainly not the way I wanted to start our vacation.
I have all the documentation to prove the two different booking numbers from Traveluro, the cancellation, and the rebooking again. I spoke with the hotel supervisor and can say that it was not a smooth process. While ultimately, we did get our room and had a good trip, it wasn't worth the hassle and worries that came with trying to save a few dollars. For this reason, I don't think I would book through Traveluro again or recommend it to others.
Disappointing Experience with Traveluro: Overbooking and Canceled Reservations
My recent experience with Traveluro was rather frustrating, to say the least. My friend and I were excited to book the Royal York in Toronto for a weekend getaway. We found a good deal on Trivago and booked through Traveluro, a third party supplier. They provided us with a voucher with a confirmation number. However, on the day of our flight from Halifax, NS to Toronto, we received some unsettling news. We were informed that our booking at the Royal York had been canceled due to overbooking.
Naturally, we were perplexed and unhappy with this news. We immediately called the Royal York, hoping for some clarity, and were advised that they were not overbooked and had many rooms available. To our dismay, the hotel did not recognize our confirmation number. This led us to contact Traveluro, seeking a resolution to this problem.
Unfortunately, they also confirmed that there were no available rooms at the Royal York. However, they did offer us a room at a three-star hotel called The Beverley. Although we accepted this reservation reluctantly, we felt we had no other choice given the situation. Unfortunately, our troubles did not end there. Shortly after checking into The Beverley, we discovered our booking there was also canceled due to overbooking. This time, Traveluro offered us a reservation at the Double Tree, which was undergoing renovation works at the time.
We ended up staying at the Double Tree for three nights, but it was not an enjoyable experience. The renovation work made it difficult to access the main entrance, and it felt like we were staying in a construction zone. Ultimately, we learned a valuable lesson: when booking through a third-party supplier, a confirmation number is not a guarantee. As we learned from the Royal York, it's merely a temporary confirmation, and if demand is high, the third-party reservations are likely to be canceled.
In conclusion, I was left disappointed by my experience with Traveluro. I hope that they will take steps to ensure that their customers have a stress-free booking experience in the future.
Unprofessional and Frustrating: My Experience with Traveluro
I had a really unpleasant experience while booking with Traveluro, and I would like to share my thoughts and experiences with others who are considering using this website. I want to start by saying that my experience with Traveluro has been nothing short of frustrating and unprofessional. In fact, I would give them negative stars if I could.
I had booked my stay at the Madinah Movenpick Hotel through Traveluro on 8th February 2022, and soon after making the booking, I realized that the hotel was further away from the Mosque than I had anticipated. I called their customer service center immediately to request a cancellation and refund. However, I was informed that this was not possible, and that my request had been declined. I then asked the customer service representative to send me a confirmation email to that effect.
Despite my initial request being declined, I decided to follow up on my request for confirmation through Traveluro's website as well. To my surprise, I received a confirmation from Traveluro guaranteeing that my stay at the Madinah Movenpick Hotel was confirmed.
On 19th March, I called Traveluro's customer service center again to confirm my booking, and I was once again reassured that my booking was confirmed and guaranteed. However, on 21st March, just a day before my travel date, Traveluro canceled my booking, citing my earlier cancellation request which they had already declined a month earlier!
I am extremely disappointed with the lack of accountability and credibility that Traveluro has demonstrated. I feel that I was given false assurances, and they failed to deliver on their promises to me, which led to an unfortunate situation just before my trip. I would not recommend booking with this website, as I believe that there are other more professional, trustworthy and reliable travel booking websites available.
Unhelpful and Indifferent Attitude: My Experience with Traveluro.com
Recently, I had a travel experience with Traveluro.com that was quite unpleasant. I had made my hotel reservation weeks ahead of my stay, and I received a message on the day of arrival, stating that my room was ready for check-in, with an assurance to contact them in case of any issue. However, arriving at the hotel past midnight, we realized that my reservation was nowhere to be found. I immediately contacted the travel company, but I was told to wait for an HOUR before receiving a return call. Feeling exhausted after a long day of traveling, I was shocked and frustrated with their inability to provide immediate assistance.
Luckily, the hotel was kind enough to let us take a room until the issue was resolved. After reaching out to traveluro numerous times, my reservation issue was finally resolved. I expected some form of compensation for the inconvenience, but instead, the travel company blamed me for spelling my name wrong, despite my documented confirmation emails detailing the correct name. When I requested that they review the phone call recordings with their employee to verify my claim, it was ignored.
I followed up with two more emails regarding compensation, but received no response. This experience left me highly disappointed with Traveluro.com's unhelpful and indifferent attitude towards their customer's predicament. Hence, I highly recommend against using their services due to their inability to tackle issues when they arise, and their guarantee of getting the room you paid for is not assured.
Although Traveluro.com was affordable, my travel experience was ruined by the issues I encountered with them. I strongly advise other travelers not to use Traveluro.com if you prefer hassle-free accommodation booking experiences that value customer satisfaction.
It was indeed fortunate that the front desk staff at the hotel where we stayed were incredibly accommodating in resolving my issue; otherwise, my trip could have been severely impacted.
Traveluro Review: Disappointing Experience with Uncaring Customer Service
I recently had a very disappointing experience with Traveluro, a travel booking website that I wouldn't recommend to anyone. I had booked a trip to the Big Island, Hawaii for December 2021, and I had chosen the Hilton Waikoloa as my hotel due to its amazing amenities. I booked the trip well in advance, but just a week prior, I tried to call the Hilton to request a rollaway for our room, and that's when I found out we weren't actually booked at the hotel we had chosen. Instead, we were mistakenly booked at a Hilton in Oklahoma, which is a completely different state altogether.
Needless to say, I was shocked and upset. I immediately contacted Traveluro to try to resolve the situation, but unfortunately, it took them until the day before our scheduled check-in to get back to me. By that point, the only way to get the same hotel we had originally chosen was to use all 40,000 of our Hilton points and shell out an additional $500 more than what Traveluro had originally charged us.
To add insult to injury, Traveluro only promised to refund me on the day of our departure, but the refund didn't actually process until our trip was over. I had to use a credit card with a higher interest rate just to cover the extra costs. When I returned, I requested that Traveluro only cover the difference that I had to pay out of pocket, but they refused.
Throughout this whole process, I was extremely disappointed by the lack of customer service I received from Traveluro. As a seasoned travel agent with 32 years of experience, I would never treat my clients in the manner that Traveluro treated me. Even when I reached out to United Airlines with a separate issue, their customer service was so much better - I was quickly credited without any hassle.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend Traveluro to anyone who is looking to book a trip. Their customer service leaves much to be desired, and their mistakes resulted in a frustrating and costly experience for me.
Traveluro.com Review: My Experience Booking an All-Inclusive Resort in Jamaica
I wanted to share this review as another real person who has used traveluro.com. As someone who booked an expensive reservation and then panicked after reading reviews, I understand the fear that can come with booking through an unfamiliar website. However, I can attest that Traveluro is a legitimate booking service and my experience with them was seamless.
A few months ago, I was planning a trip to Jamaica and was ecstatic when I found a deal on traveluro.com that was $500 cheaper than other options I had seen. I initially found the deal through Trivago and, despite not having heard of Traveluro before, I felt confident booking through them because it was a recommended option through Trivago. I spent $5,000 on an all-inclusive resort and didn't give it a second thought until two days before my trip when I tried to log into Traveluro to access my reservation information. To my horror, the website listed that I had no reservations! I then received a vague text message confirming my hotel, but the confirmation number was suspiciously listed as 0. With growing doubt and concern, I decided to Google the company to see if I could find any more information. It was then that I stumbled upon a number of disheartening reviews, indicating that Traveluro was unreliable, or even potentially fraudulent.
I began to panic about my upcoming trip, worrying that I had been scammed and that I would arrive in Jamaica to no hotel, and no explanation from Traveluro. I was filled with worry and confusion; it seemed as though I had no other option but to brace myself for the possibility of disaster.
However, despite my fears, I decided to take action and called the resort directly to confirm my reservation. To my relief, they had my details and were able to confirm my booking. It turns out that Traveluro was entirely legitimate and my booking was fully honored upon my arrival in Jamaica.
I wanted to share my experience with Traveluro so that others who find themselves in similar circumstances may feel at ease. I should note that I did not experience any issues with Traveluro customer service and that my communications with them were professional and courteous. While I cannot speak to the negative experiences others may have had with Traveluro, I can happily confirm that I had no problems with this booking service and would use them again in the future.
Terrible Customer Service from Traveluro: A Warning to Others About Booking With Them
Traveluro, unfortunately, left a very bitter taste in my mouth after a recent experience I had with them. I had booked a non-refundable reservation in NYC for the upcoming weekend, but unfortunately, our visit had to be postponed due to some personal reasons. We wanted to modify our reservation to a later date, which the hotel was understanding of. However, Traveluro's customer service was completely unhelpful and uncooperative.
I spent five phone calls and was put on hold for a total of 3 1/2 hours over the course of those calls, just to be told in an email that they could only help me if the hotel authorized it, and that they could not help me because it was a non-refundable, non-amendable policy. The contradictory statement left me confused and frustrated. To add insult to injury, in the same email, they requested written confirmation from the hotel's manager, despite the fact that I had already sent them the authorization.
Despite all of my efforts, Traveluro still denied my request to modify my reservation, and worse, they lied to me about speaking to the hotel's reservation person. It was an extremely stressful and time-consuming experience that left me feeling wronged and disappointed.
I understand that policies are in place for a reason, but Traveluro's lack of customer service and unwillingness to help me, especially during these uncertain times, have left me with a very poor impression of their service. I cannot recommend them and urge others to be wary when booking with them.
Terrible customer service and canceled reservation by travel booking company – A cautionary tale
When it comes to booking travel accommodations, one wants to feel secure that they have a reservation that won't get canceled last minute. However, when I booked a one-night stay at the Aloft in Downtown Philadelphia through traveluro.com, that was not the case. I paid $209 in advance, but when I arrived at the hotel, I was shocked to find out that my reservation had been canceled. I had received no communication about this from Traveluro. After waiting on hold for an hour, Traveluro said that I had canceled the reservation. Obviously, I had not.
With no help from Traveluro, I walked in the cold with my bag to the downtown Marriott hotel to pay out of pocket for another room at $342.12 – something I hadn't budgeted for. I tried to get compensation from Traveluro, but they were unresponsive for almost two months before finally telling me that they wouldn't provide any.
This experience was not only stressful, but it was a terrible customer service experience. It's disappointing that a travel booking company that operates in such a high-risk industry couldn't handle my booking with more care. I would not recommend using this company if you want to ensure that your hotel booking is guaranteed.
Beware of Traveluro and Splittytravel.com: My Nightmare Experience
After hearing about Traveluro from a few friends, I decided to book a hotel room through their website for an upcoming vacation. I was hesitant at first as they were a third-party booking site, but I went ahead anyway. My decision turned out to be a big mistake, as I ended up running into all sorts of issues with Traveluro.
I paid in advance for my room reservation and received follow-up emails from Traveluro, even receiving a receipt for my payment. However, when I arrived at the hotel, I was informed that Traveluro had not paid the hotel for my reservation. As a result, I was unable to check in and had to deal with the manager behind the desk who could offer no help as it was not their problem.
I attempted to call Traveluro's customer service number, but all I received was a recording with background music and fictitious updates, informing me of my placement in line and the estimated waiting time. I wasted a ridiculous amount of time on hold, with no one ever picking up the phone. After an hour and twenty minutes of being on hold, I finally got to speak with a customer service representative, who told me my issue had to go through the "escalation team."
Even after waiting patiently for over two hours while on vacation, I ended up not being able to get a resolution. Tired, frustrated and sweltering in 100-degree heat, I finally caved and used my credit card to pay for an entirely new room. I demanded a refund from Traveluro for the original reservation as they never paid the hotel like they were supposed to, but the representative refused to grant me one.
My experience with Traveluro was maddening, and I felt like I had been scammed and robbed. I decided to warn other people about their customer service and their fraud.
After the debacle, I discovered splittytravel.com and called their customer service number, but that too turned out to be an exercise in futility. The automated message informed me that my call could not be completed at that time, instructing me to hang up and call later. It was another frustrating experience that only validated my opinion that Traveluro and other similar travel reservation sites may not be the safest choices.
In conclusion, please beware of Traveluro and splittytravel.com. My experience with these websites was a nightmare, and I don't want others to suffer the same fate.

Traveluro charged my credit card but didn't pay the hotel, so I paid double for the room.
Reserved a room for HotelSuites by Hilton through Traveluro.com and was charged over $1200 on my VISA card. When I checked out, the hotel said I didn't owe anything, but they later charged my VISA card for the full amount of my stay.
It's been several months and I still haven't received a refund. The hotel now says that the Traveluro credit card was declined (after I checked out), so they charged my credit card instead.
Now it's too late to dispute the charge on my credit card, and all attempts to reach out to Traveluro have had no response.

I booked a hotel a month before Family Weekend in our daughter’s college town. I never got a confirmation email, only an email saying the room purchase was successful and the money had been taken out of my account. Hotel did not meet accomodation promises
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the recent stay I had at your esteemed hotel, Coda Williamsburg, and to formally request a refund for the unsatisfactory experience I encountered during my visit.
I had eagerly looked forward to my stay at your hotel, having read positive reviews about the service and high standards you provide. However, upon arrival, I quickly realized that my expectations were not met. The purpose of this letter is to bring to your attention the specific areas where the hotel failed to deliver on its promised standards.
Firstly, upon checking in, I had contacted both the front desk at the hotel along with Traveluro to let them know that my guest, Amanda Baker, would be arriving before me and need to check-in. The hotel stated they could not add her and that I would need to contact Traveluro. I contacted Traveluro and they told me I needed to contact the hotel because my reservation was not amenable. I called the hotel once more and they said they couldn’t do anything and to “call expedia.” Traveluro was then contacted by me once more and provided me a written receipt that they had contacted the hotel to add Amanda’s name to the check-in. I called to confirm with Traveluro again the day I was in flight to NY. When Amanda arrived, the front desk told her that she couldn’t check in and that I needed to call the hotel to add her name. For several hours she could not enter the room until I was off of my plane and sent her the written note from Traveluro.
When I arrived, the AC was out. Our room on the 7th floor was absolutely untenable so we left until 10 pm to find AC elsewhere. When I inquired what the contingency plan was with the front desk upon departing, they said “this” and showed me a free drink voucher and replied that this was not their fault. This was not a promising or helpful reply. When we returned at night, the AC was apparently fixed but our room was still very warm and would not go below 79 degrees. I asked for a fan to be sent up. The fan was broken and quite literally skipped across the floor when I turned it on so could now be used. The following day, we requested a new room when the AC still wasn’t working again in our room. They told us to wait in our room and they would call us to get the new room number. A half an hour went by and we did not hear anything so I rang. They said they would have the room number in 5 minutes. Someone else called back about 20 minutes later and said it would be about 30 minutes to 45 minutes to get us the same type of room we paid for. We told them it was 82 degrees in our room so we would go wait by the pool. There were no seats available at the pool so we stood on the side for almost an hour and then went back to the front desk to retrieve our new room keys. They said the room was still not ready. This was beyond disappointing and broke confidence as they had told us various times at this point, apart from the fact we needed to get ready for a wedding dress rehearsal! My friend attempted to shower, which was difficult amidst the heat. After another 45 minutes and no word, I went down to the front desk and our new keys were at the front desk. A call would have been nice. At this time, they decided to alert us that it was actually a smaller room but since we were staying two more nights (we were actually staying four more nights) we could have pool chairs reserved those days since the room was smaller than what we paid for. A price difference refund nor larger room were offered.
When I called back to book the pool chairs, the offer was then reduced to “we could have one time slot of reservation.” I was beginning to feel scammed at this point, and the communication was so horrendous, I didn’t bother asking for the original offer. I told him we would take the Sunday slot. On Saturday, my friend (not me, who made the reservation) received an email saying our reservation was ready. We had already made Saturday plans and I had told the front desk we wanted a Sunday reservation! I called the front desk to remedy the situation but they said we had to call the pool. We called the pool and they said we had to go through the website. This was so frustrating! After multiple emails and phone calls, the reservation was later reconciled.
Furthermore, I encountered several issues that significantly impacted my overall satisfaction. The buttons on the toilet to flush in both rooms did not function properly, and became stuck which caused the toilet to continue flushing on repeat. This made us have to lift up the lid each time the toilet wouldn’t stop flushing. The rinsing head in the shower did not function. I had a package delivered and when the front desk called to ask if I would like it sent up right away, I said yes. I waited in the room 45 minutes and no one delivered it so I went down. There was also no wifi in the room as was advertised. To get wifi signal, I had to sit in the front lobby chairs (which ended up being drenched in water from pool users and ruining two important documents I had placed on them). When I alerted the front desk that there was no wifi signal in my room, and only in the lobby, they said that if I connected in the lobby it should just follow me up to the room.
Considering the numerous inconveniences and the failure to meet the expected standards of service, I kindly request a full refund for the cost of my stay at your hotel. I believe it is only fair to receive compensation for the subpar experience I endured during my visit.
I would like to emphasize that my intention in writing this letter is not to disparage the establishment but rather to bring these issues to your attention so that improvements can be made to ensure a more pleasant experience for future guests and so that Traveluro can remain a reputable place to find worthy hotels.
I have copies of my booking confirmation and photos for your reference should. You need. I kindly request that you address this matter promptly and respond to my request within 14 days. Please refund the amount to the original payment method used during the booking process.
I sincerely hope that you will take my concerns seriously and make the necessary improvements to prevent similar situations in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to receiving a prompt response and a satisfactory resolution to my request.
Desired outcome: Refund
Disappointing Experience with Traveluro: Poor Communication and Customer Service
I recently had a less than satisfactory experience with Traveluro (traveluro.com). I had prepaid for a stay in Times Square for Broadway, and received an email confirmation. However, when I arrived at the hotel, it was closed! I was worried that I had been scammed, and it took me a whole hour to get through to Traveluro on the phone. Eventually, I was relocated to another hotel 12 blocks away.
I called Traveluro back to express my dissatisfaction with the new location, as it was now 11pm and I was concerned about walking 15 blocks at that time of night. Additionally, the hotel's own posted nightly price was $50 cheaper than what I had paid for my 8-night stay. I was told to wait 2-3 months for a response.
Unfortunately, communication from Traveluro was poor once again. After nearly 6 months, I called them back to inquire about a $400 credit that I was owed. The supervisor I spoke to (G***) told me to call the hotel myself and provide Traveluro with confirmation of the credit. I reminded them that my business was with Traveluro directly, and that they should have taken care of this 6 months ago. Despite my reasonable request, it was denied.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with Traveluro. The lack of communication and poor customer service left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. I hope that they can improve their processes in the future to avoid similar situations for other customers.
Disappointing Experience with Traveluro: Lack of Customer Service and Charged for Unused Reservation
I recently had an experience with Traveluro that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I was on vacation in Hawaii for 10 days and decided to extend my stay for an extra night. I needed to find a hotel for that one night and decided to book through Traveluro's website. I made the reservation three days in advance and received a confirmation email shortly after.
The next day, my plans changed and I no longer needed the hotel room. I tried calling Traveluro's customer service line multiple times, but was unable to reach a live person. I even tried contacting the hotel directly, but they informed me that since the reservation was made through Traveluro, I needed to contact them for any changes or cancellations.
Despite my efforts, I was unable to get in touch with anyone from Traveluro and ended up not staying in the room. However, when I returned home, I discovered that my credit card had been charged for the reservation. I tried contacting Traveluro again, but was met with the same automated system and lack of response.
Feeling frustrated and taken advantage of, I decided to report Traveluro to the Better Business Bureau and leave a review to warn others about my experience. It's important to note that my original 10-day stay was not booked through Traveluro and I have never spoken to anyone from the company to this day.
Overall, I would caution others against using Traveluro for their travel needs. While their website may seem convenient, their lack of customer service and failure to respond to complaints is concerning. I hope that by sharing my experience, others can avoid similar issues and find a more reliable travel booking service.
Disappointing Experience with Traveluro: Overbooked and Underpaid
I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with Traveluro. I booked three different rooms with them, and while the first one was alright, things went downhill pretty quickly after that. I was supposed to have a private room in a hostel, but instead they booked me into an 8-person shared dorm. I spent hours on the phone with their support team and sent a ton of emails, but they never really fixed the problem. To make matters worse, the room they gave me was listed on their website for a fraction of what I paid. I was pretty upset about it, but they wouldn't give me a refund or anything. I mean, who wants to pay hundreds of dollars to stay in a crowded dorm room, right?
Anyway, I ended up having to book another hotel through a different provider, which was a bit of a hassle but at least it worked out in the end. But then, when I got to my final hotel, I found out that Traveluro hadn't even paid for my room! I had to spend over an hour on the phone with their support team, trying to get them to pay up so I could finally check in and get some rest. It was a pretty frustrating experience overall, and I don't think I'll be using Traveluro again anytime soon.
Terrible Customer Service: My Experience with Traveluro
Traveluro is a travel booking website that I would not recommend to anyone. Their customer service is absolutely terrible. I would give them a negative million rating if I could. They are nothing but quack jobs who are only interested in taking your money and providing no service in return.
I made the mistake of booking the wrong date and had to go through another company to book the correct date. It cost me an extra $50, but it was worth it to avoid dealing with Traveluro. However, Traveluro still needed my confirmation receipt from the hotel that I booked through a different company on the date I actually needed the reservation. This was none of their business, and they had no right to ask for it. They wanted proof that I stayed there on a different date, which made me feel like a liar.
I have tried to contact Traveluro multiple times, but I have not gotten anywhere. Their phone lines are always busy, and when I do get through, I am placed on hold for more than 20 minutes. They have my money, but they do not care about providing any service. The only way they will answer the phone is if you want to book a hotel. If you want a refund or need to cancel, forget it.
I was told that Lea could not get to the phone because their "lines are so jacked up right now." I was told that she would converse with me through email, but that never happened. I am still on hold indefinitely, and I will screenshot a photo of the length of time I had to wait on hold because their lines are "jacked up."
Overall, Traveluro is unprofessional and not worth your time or money. I would recommend using a different travel booking website that actually cares about their customers and provides good customer service.
Hotel reservation website
I was scheduled to have surgery in another city and my sister-in-law (my traveling medical attendant for the procedure) and I booked hotel reservations through the Traveluro website. Two days before departure, the hospital cancelled the surgery due to a staffing issue, so we asked Traveluro to refund given the circumstances. First, they asked that we contact the hotel directly to cancel, which we did. Then they asked for a letter from the hospital verifying the cancellation, which we provided. Then they asked for an email from the hotel manager verifying cancellation on their end, which we facilitated and they received... twice. Then they asked to speak to the hotel manager via phone. When I tried to coordinate a 3-way call, Traveluro refused to participate. They told me they tried calling the hotel themselves, but the hotel was being uncooperative. I don't believe this as the hotel manager has been more than cooperative. Ultimately, we found out from the hotel manager that the hotel had already refunded Traveluro for both reservations. So Traveluro got a refund from the hotel and has avoided refunding us. This issue has been going on for our weeks. I imagine we're not the only clients they've done this to.
Desired outcome: Full refund for my sister-in-law and me.
Unreliable Booking Experience with Traveluro.com: A Cautionary Tale
As someone who recently booked a hotel room through Traveluro.com, I had a less than stellar experience. I had made my reservation just four hours before my scheduled check-in time, but upon my arrival at the hotel, I was informed that they had no record of my booking. Naturally, this was a frustrating situation to be in, but I made a call to Traveluro's customer service line in hopes that they could quickly resolve the issue.
Initially, the representative I spoke with over the phone assured me that my confirmation number would be sent to me via email within 15 minutes. However, half an hour passed and I still had not received any communication from them. I called back, hoping for an update, but was told to be patient and to wait another 15 minutes. This cycle continued for some time, with me continuously being told to remain patient and wait for my confirmation number to arrive.
After more than five and a half hours of waiting and a total of four phone calls, I finally received an email from Traveluro. Sadly, it was not the confirmation number I had been desperately hoping for, but rather a notification that my reservation could not be made. I was informed that I would be refunded the amount I paid, but due to the inconvenience caused, I would also be offered a $25 discount on my next booking through them.
Unfortunately, the delay had caused me to miss out on the opportunity to stay at the original hotel I had planned on staying at, and I had to drive an hour away to find lodging for the night. I was greatly upset that I had to go through all of that because Traveluro had failed to fulfill their end of the bargain.
For a $25 discount, it did little to soothe the frustration and disappointment I had experienced with such an important reservation. I would strongly caution anyone considering booking with Traveluro.com to seek out alternative options before taking the risk of such a disorganized service.
Traveluro Review: Low Prices, High Headaches - A Cautionary Tale
I recently booked a hotel room through Traveluro and, unfortunately, the experience was less than satisfactory. Initially, I was excited about the low price for the location I needed, but quickly faced various issues.
When I arrived at the hotel, I was told that Traveluro had actually failed to make the reservation. I was told that this is a common problem with Traveluro and that they have a reputation for not delivering as promised. As a result, I had to pay $75 for a hotel room through the hotel instead. The hotel staff were sympathetic to my situation and offered me a discount to ease the blow, which I appreciated.
Seeking a remedy, I contacted Traveluro to discuss what had happened and request a refund. They told me that they would investigate the situation and issue the refund once they had thoroughly confirmed the situation with the hotel. Unfortunately, they did not hold up their end of the bargain, and despite several follow-up calls, I still have not received my money back over a month and a half later.
This entire ordeal has been incredibly frustrating and I have wasted a significant amount of time trying to get my refund. My experience with Traveluro feels like a scam, and I am now considering taking it up with my bank to get my money back.
Overall, I would caution anyone against using Traveluro for their travel bookings, given my terrible experience.
Review: A frustrating experience with Traveluro - poor customer service and lack of transparency. Think twice before booking
Traveluro is an online platform that offers hotel bookings with a slightly different payment method. Instead of paying the hotel directly, Traveluro charges your credit card and then puts the payment on their own Mastercard to pay the hotel. They then provide you with a voucher to present at the hotel upon check-in. However, the experience with Traveluro has not been pleasant for some travelers.
Many travelers have faced issues when they arrive at their hotel and find out that their room is not available, or if they have canceled their reservation in time. The hotel, in these instances, refunds the payment to the credit card on record - which is Traveluro's Mastercard. This is where problems arise.
When contacted, Traveluro's customer service representatives are not very helpful. Customers are left on hold for hours, and when they finally get through, they are told that they need to call the hotel to verify the refund. Even when the customers ask to escalate the issue, it is met with the same response from the representatives.
It is clear that Traveluro's customer service is not up to the mark, as they do not follow up with their customers as promised. Instead, they rely on the fact that customers will go away. However, some customers have taken things into their own hands and disputed the charges with their bank.
Moreover, Traveluro fails to inform their customers of the deposit required for late arrivals to guarantee a room. This is a critical piece of information that should be communicated when the booking is made.
In conclusion, it is clear that the experience with Traveluro has been a frustrating one for many travelers. We strongly advise anyone considering booking with Traveluro to think twice before using their services.
Mixed Bag Experience with Traveluro - Not a Scam, But Not Ideal Either
When I booked my stay through Traveluro (traveluro.com), I had high hopes of a seamless, stress-free vacation. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't quite as smooth as I anticipated. While I wouldn't necessarily label the company a scam, I did experience some significant hiccups that made for a less than ideal trip.
My dissatisfaction began when I received my initial booking confirmation email. Unfortunately, this was the last communication I received from Traveluro regarding my reservation until I showed up at the hotel. Upon arrival, I was surprised to learn that my reservation had been canceled due to a lack of availability. Naturally, I was confused and frustrated, since my credit card had already been charged and I hadn't received any notification of cancellation.
Left with no other options, I had to scramble to make alternate arrangements on the spot - a situation that was anything but relaxing. However, I will say that Traveluro's customer service team was extremely helpful and professional in the aftermath of this mishap, and they quickly processed a full refund once I brought the issue to their attention.
Overall, while my experience with Traveluro wasn't the smoothest, I do appreciate the fact that their customer service team was able to resolve my issues in a timely and efficient manner. While I may be more cautious in booking through them in the future, I wouldn't necessarily discourage others from doing so.
Beware of Traveluro: Misleading Deals and False Promises for Travel Bookings
Traveluro is a travel booking site that claims to offer the best deals for accommodations, flights, and rentals. While their homepage displays attractive prices and tempting discounts, some customers have found that the actual booking process is not as smooth as it seems.
One common issue is that Traveluro displays rates that are not available when the customer attempts to book. The website appears to be using these false numbers as a marketing strategy to attract more customers. When the bookings are made, Traveluro then contacts the hotel or provider and attempts to negotiate the rate they promised to the client. This can create frustration for customers who believe they are getting a great deal only to find out it was not real.
Adding insult to injury, when the customer contacts Traveluro about the issue, they are given a generic response via email that states the hotel had already booked the room at the reduced rate. The reply also includes a small incentive in the form of a discount code for the customer’s next travel booking. However, it appears that even when using these discounts, the same scenario keeps happening.
This issue is particularly frustrating for travelers who have already planned their itinerary and have set their minds on a particular location. When they find out that the accommodation they thought they had secured is no longer available, it can ruin their travel plans and cause unnecessary stress, especially if there is a need to look for alternative options at the last minute.
Despite the claims of Traveluro providing the best deals, customers are finding that it is better to book through more reliable platforms or directly with the hotel itself. The inconvenience and disappointment of being misinformed about rates and availability are not worth the potential savings that Traveluro advertises. It is recommended to exercise caution when using this site and to double-check rates and availability with the hotel before confirming the booking.
