My husband and i just bought from this place. I think a lot of people go there because they want free and cheap stuff in branson. We went because we were looking for a place down there, and their places fit our lifestyle more then any other. I can see how people that aren't looking to buy, or people that have their minds made up before they even see it may find them rude. I would bet that they've never been to one of those presentations anywhere before.

We go to branson every year, so it makes a lot of sense for us. We own two other timeshares, and we use them all because we retired several years ago. I'd say if you know you don't want a timeshare, don't go to the presentation. If you can't afford your vacation without going to a timeshare sales thing then you shouldn't be going on vacation.

I AGREE with the original complaint but DISAGREE with the people that say they "own" with them - there is no way that these "owners" have used their timeshare there because there is NOTHING finished for owners to stay in. I do NOT recommend buying something that can not be seen except for a drawing

I have Major issues with Nantucket. No, they were not rude to us at the time we bought our timeshare but they LIED to us. Total and complete deceit. We have other time shares as well. We go to branson ever year it is a Great place for family. But Nantucket while a nice place the people just are NOT honest.

anyone promised a full refund if they hadnt built a certain number of their properties within a certain time frame? We were told full refund if 26 units (not sure of number, but more than a dozen) were built within 18 months. Can't find anywhere in our paperwork, but definitely remember it. Never received an actual contract and have been making payments for 2 years. Even went their 1 year ago and visited their office and they couldn't produce a contract. Said they'd mail it to us. Anyone have anything in writing like this promise of complete refund if a certain # not built?

We went there on 10/14/2011 to sign in. They promised show tickets to Noah the Musical a month ago but when we got there it was sold out so we got other tickets. On 10/15 we went for our tour and I told the sales lady we would not buy no matter what, but she still took up about 2 hrs. of our time. Several times I told her we had enough and was ready to go. A floor manager came over and told me he didn`t like my attitude, threw some paper work at me and for me to get my "fat ### out of there", never come back here again etc. I told him he did not need to talk to me like that I had told them up front I was not interested. Again he cussed me and then said he was calling to police to remove me. He got real close to me trying to intimidate me and when that didn`t work he turned to another salesman and ordered him to throw me out. That man was smart and did not touch me. I asked for the manager and after explaining it he apologized and went to talk to Mark Starnes [ the man who threatened me] but never got an apology from him.

My husband and I went to one of their "presentations" and were not impressed with this place at ALL! The homes and people were all living on top of each other and the grounds were not even completed!?!?! That is not my idea of a vacation home! I would rather stay home on my beautiful 8 acres of wooded land with privacy and no people around! in Oklahoma than stay there! Most rude people I have ever met! When we said no we were not interested and we were meeting friends for dinner they would not let us go! We spent another 45 minutes trying to explain to them why we were not interested! If this is the way they run their business then they will be out of business soon! Branson is nothing but a tourist town! The country is beautiful but I would NOT want to buy a vacation home there! Give me Taos New Mexico anyday! Will never go through this again!

I have worked for Branson's Nantucket since Aug of 2012 (after the change in previous management) and have never been a party to and or witness any guest on a presentation being so disrespectfully spoken to or treated. I know our developer absolutely does not condone such conduct from his representatives. As far as the duration of the presentation, as any other vacation ownership presentation that comes on the heels of a subsidized vacation package offered by outside marketing sources they are ALWAYS a minimum of 90-120 minutes based on the guests level of interest. That being said, just because a guest comes in and shares with their sales rep that they have NO interest in purchasing (which by the way is EVERY guest initially), does not mean that the sales rep can or will cut the presentation short. Doing so jeopardizes their job, but more importantly cheats the guest out of a fair opportunity to get all the information they need to make a true, educated choice on whether our product is right for their family or not. In response to the owner that felt they were misrepresented to begin with or did not get contracts with their purchase...I'm not sure what transpired prior to my working here, but I do know that not one single owner EVER leaves our doors without full copies of all their ownership documents they sign under a recorded closing with their verification officer and included in those documents is an acknowledgement statement that asks the new owner if there were any other verbal or written representations made to them that are not specifically stated in the documents they have signed. The purpose of which, of course, is to protect the consumer against any potential misrepresentation. Bottom line...not all situations or circumstances are equal and certainly not all are negative and it does not at all surprise me that there are far more negative comments than positive (and thank you by the way to our wonderful owner who sang our praises and we look forward to seeing you and your family back in awesome Branson soon!). When was the last time those who take the time to post negative comments about a business relationship subsequently go online or send in a letter to a business to say, " Thanks, our experience was GREAT! Keep up the good word!" or "We absolutely had a great experience with xxx company and strongly recommend them to others!" There is good and bad in everything, and people will typically find exactly what they are looking for. Look for the good and you just might be surprised. :)

They treat you real nice until you say no. They also lie to you right off the bat by telling you that at the end of the presentation all they ask is a simple yes or no answer. If the answer is no, they treat you like dirt. The guy even called me pal. I am certainly not his pal.

Funny that you state you get a copy of ever thing. What about all the pages you write on to show how much you save? Verbal remarks about were pet friendly here. The one thing that seems when you call to talk to that sales person that have just gotten out of hospital. Had to have a couple feet of lower stomach removed.

I personally witnessed a salesman say very loudly and very rudely " your gonna sit there and tell me your wife has cancer and you dont care about her enough to buy her a great vacation ". That was Saturday May 4th 2019...and the clubhouse is still not done in over 10 years.

Any I noticed you post this anonymously. You are not a “VERIFIED OWNER.” Do you own a timeshare with Nantucket? As you state, you are an employee of theirs and are being paid by them so you will say what they want. And you seem to be in the higher ups with the company and know exactly what is said in each sales pitch. Yet two of your sales staff members, Shane and Josh have stated that they offer the points conversion during the used car sales pitch only to find out later that that danged Advantage group changed it up again, without them knowing. But talking to Advantage, they state they have never done this “cash conversion” and one even stated she has been hearing this conversion deal for years. Sounds like it’s time for a class action lawsuit.

Yes we should all send positive kuddos to those who do a great job. With that said, Thank you to Trey with BLUEGREEN vacation club. The best presentation and correct information we have ever experienced with a timeshare presentation. Everything was presented honestly and clear as to what you were buying. No high pressure, no confusing points exchange and they set free informational meeting just to sit down individually to go thru their website and show you how to work their system and book your vacations. At signing of paperwork, lady recorded the whole closing as she read every single line of their contract and we initialed each one. Now that’s what you should get if you are willing to pay them thousands to purchase their product…Nantucket doesn’t even have a website to see the inventory or to book your stays…you have to call for reservations and can not see what you are booking. Also.. you are incorrect about getting copy of what you were promised and purchased. The most important copy should be the salesman’s sheet that he scribbled all the great things he has promised you. Why is that not included with your Nantucket purchase? It sure is with BLUEGREEN. With them, you get what you purchased. Nantucket salesman directly lied and con us into purchasing a package that we thought was going to fit our vacation needs…getting Nantucket plus access to all the RCI properties ….when in reality RCI dropped Nantucket ( probably for their business practices) just a few months after our purchase so now we’ve paid $26,000 to get maybe one weekend stay per year at Nantucket only. What a BAIT AND SWITCH! You say the salesmen are honest? Well who in their right mind would trade in their 123,000/yr RCI points and pay $26,000 to get 24,000 points to use at only Nantucket resort? Nantucket was NOT honest with the presentation they gave us and scammed us on the points and now can not offer us RCI resorts as our contract implies. This is a blatant breach of our contract and should require a full refund. I’m sure we are not the only ones who got took on the RCI switch….. at the very least this requires a CLASS ACTION lawsuit for Nantucket’s misrepresentation.

My husband and I just went to Branson's Nantucket. We knew we had to go through the 90minute 'meeting' to receive our 2 night stay, free$30 meal voucher & 2 different show tickets each. We were also supposed to receive another 2 night stay somewhere else without the sales pitch. We planned to say no. That was all we planned. We didn't talk about it or think about it. We didn't research it over the internet. Nothing. The only plan we had was to say no. We had even been to one of these deals approx. 20yrs before. So we get there unprepared and around 3 hours later, after high pressure sales tactics, we signed our names to there contracts. Again, we didn't even study the contracts, we just signed. We are a successful 'middle class' family. We really aren't that dumb, but that day we were very dumb! We wanted to make our kids happy, my husband wanted to make me happy and all our business sence just flew out the door! Fortunately, after returning home, i found out that Missourians have 5 days to cancel their contract with a letter of cancellation sent by certified mail. I'm sure most people don't think about timeshares until they are involved in one, as we did. We received a call telling us about the free nights stay etc all for $99. And i took it. But people should stay away from all the deals that "give away" free nights, etc. Go to Dave Ramsey.com or Clark Howard.com and find out what they say about timeshares. Do research, be prepared so you can stay away from the "free" deals and any timeshares. In my opinion they are all scams. You will be MUCH BETTER off just booking your vacations on your own and you will have more money in your pockets for doing so. STAY AWAY FROM BRANSON'S NANTUCKET AND ANY TIMESHARE DEAL OR TRAVEL CLUB, IT WILL NOT SAVE YOU ANY MONEY! There are hidden fees galore, including maintenance fees that you will be bound to by contract for life. Then the hassle of going through 'points' to get your vacation booked. Over the years almost 100% of owner's are unhappy with their timeshare purchase. (from Dave Ramsey.com).

I wanted to personally thank you for your post.
We are much like you and made a huge mistake in signing a contract. But after leaving and then starting to put it all together the showmanship, the lies, the difference in the promises and what was in the contract, I got a bad bad feeling, and started fact checking and reading reviews. I knew I had to get out of that contract, I did not know about the 5 day cancellation UNTIL I found your post, and thank God we were able to get our cancellation letter in within 5 days. Thank you so much, you literally saved us thousands of dollars and a world of heartache. I will add for anyone else reading this, the law is 5 calendar days NOT 5 business days...

I am sorry you had a bad experience, but, my husband and I just back from there this morning and were treated excellent. The tower is finished and the rooms are spectacular. The pool was being filled while we were there. Staff was great and helpful. New management team has really stepped up. Nice bar and grill on the 10th floor. View was wonderful. No pressure was applied at all. This is our 5th time to go there and it gets better each time we visit. We have stayed in different sized units and they are all great. They also accommodate you if you have disabilities whether temporary or permanent, all you have to do is ask for one of those units that are on ground level in the cottage units.

We recently went through the tour at Branson's Nantucket. I do not recommend it. The agent talked excessively about herself and how great she is. She has been everywhere and done everything. When our tour was over she rudely commented to me that "I needed to take a real estate class because I obviously knew nothing about real estate." When I responded with "do not tell me I need to take a class of any kind" we were quickly escorted out the door without even an apology. It was no way for a sales agent to act. I cannot believe how terribly we were treated. When I checked with BBB their rating is F.

We had a similar experience ... Rude staff... High pressure to buy/ upgrade . All they want is your money ! Not happy with my experience with them so far. My parents own a time share with them . Well they call it property ownership ... The sales lady lied to my parents when she sold it to them . She told them just call 2 hours before you decide to come and we will have it all ready for you . If fact when you do try to book it they are either booked up or give you the run around . I agree... Bad business !

My wife and I visited Branson Nantucket in June, 2014. When Branson Travel initially called and offered an entertainment package to us, I told the rep that we own a home on Table Rock Lake and that there was zero chance that we would buy a time share. He said no problem, Branson Nantucket just wants the opportunity to show case their development. When I made the appointment to visit, I was told by Branson Travel that we were required to spend the night in the area. I told the rep that I have a home in the area and that I would stay there. I was still told that I needed to check in to a hotel in Branson. I agreed to do that and simply went to the hotel, checked in, then immediatly gave the key back and checked out. Quite comical. The next day's visit at Nantucket was a pleasant surprise for my wife and I. After informing our salesman that we already own a home in the area, he was very laid back and told about the great fishing locations and restaurants he goes to. Later, he brought the sales manager over to talk with us, we were again surprised. We told him about our strange interaction with Branson Travel and he readily acknowledged how hard it is for him to get the right candidates in for a presentation. Both men were exceptionally nice and well mannered. We didn't buy, but we knew that up front. It may just be a great opportunity for folks looking for a time share with a great lake view.

My husband and I recently visited the Branson area & were talked into going to a presentation in exchange for a few free tickets, of course. We had no intention on buying but do love the area & the property thus far, also the views are impressive. It was a high pressure saleperson but he was very nice and down to earth. I had a uneasy feeling all along and felt unsure about investing in a timeshare. In the end my Husband wanted to "Pop the cork" and did so, I signed reluctantly. It seemed like a fair deal and there is so much family fun in the area. As soon as we walked out the door it really sank in & I felt even worse about it. At this point I had read many complaints towards them online and just wanted out. My husband felt committed already but I kept at him and found the 5 day clause, thankfully...It took me 4 days but finally he came around and agreed this is not a good time for this investment, that as flexible as it seems we would not be able to make use of it. Once home, I sent in cancellation letter. They were very understanding and quick to issue a refund. They were very professional and did not deduct for any show tickets either. It seems like they have made some changes in how they do business, for the BETTER.

My wife and I are looking to buy a time share so when a guy offered us some money to tour at Nantucket we said sure. I told the salesman that we did not have a credit card but did have a debt card. He called a manager and they said it was fine so. We get up early the next morning and the lady at the front desk said we cant go on the tour with out a credit card or a checkbook. I told her we dont carry checks but can show her we have a checking account with over 16000 dollars in it. She was very rude. I told her they had called a manager and they had ok it. She said no and I asked her for my deposit back she told me I would have to go to another location to get it. I asked if I could speak to her supervisor and she said ok have a seat. A few minutes latter 2 men walk out and one says he is the police and asked me to get up and he would show me where the money is 1st lie then he said they found something when they did a check on me and I dont qualify to do the program 2nd Lie. Then he said that the staff said I was threatening them 3rd lie. I asked where do I get my money back he said I dont know but they dont have it here 4th lie. Now this guy was not in uniform so I dont know for sure if he was a policeman but he had a badge. I told him he was lying and as I was leaving he called me an ahole. I pulled up to the door and rolled down my window and asked him which police department does he work for and he messed around and acted like he didnt know so my wife said Holister she said she saw that on his badge and he said ya ya thats it Holister. Total lyres here stay away. They lie so much they dont know they do it. I went to wyndham and just asked for some info but didnt have time for a tour and they told me some things and we may buy there. But I was curious how much the Nantucket timeshare was so I called them and asked how much there units are just to compare with wyndham. They said I will have to come in for a tour I told them I cant tour their property because I dont have a credit card. She said well you cant buy one then and put me on the phone with another man and he asked how can he help me with a smug tone. I said my wife and I want to buy a timeshare. He said where are you from I said Texas he asked if we could come to Branson I said no. He said then you cant buy from us. This company is rude and stupid. We will probably be going with wyndham. If Nantucket treats someone interested in buying from them like this I cant imagine how they treat you once they have your money

I live near Branson, and in 2014, was invited to attend a time share demonstration by a friend from Arkansas--she didn't want to go alone, and said she had paid $99.00 for some show tickets & places to eat out. I went with my friend STRICTLY as a by stander. They tried to sell my friend a time share (of course). She said no. The salesman asked if either of us would be interested in a cruise. I asked, "How Much?" He said $1, 295.00 which would include a few days stay at one of their Time Shares. I agreed. We paid Nantucket $200.00 cash down and I signed a contract for them to take out $100.00 a month for 12 months to pay for the CRUISE. When the 12 months was almost up, I phoned Nantucket--hadn't heard boo from them in almost a year--and asked them if the $1, 295..00 was paid in full and that I wanted them to send me recelpts for the payments they had been directly withdrawing from my personal checking account VIA credit card, for the duration of about a year, I asked them when my friend and I could book the CRUISE--they said she would have to visit Nantucket again, and they would sit down with us and book the cruise! BALONEY! Meanwhile, They finally sent me the receipts after several requests, and I discovered that they had overcharged my checking account $116.00. I informed them of this error and it was like pulling teeth to finally get back that over amount they took from me. In fact, I threatened to take it to an Attorney--which I spoke to a law firm shortly thereafter about other issues such as: When my friend came back to Branson to visit Nantucket hoping that we could get our tickets for the Cruise since it was now paid in full, SURPRISE! I once again went through a time share demo with her and then when we got back to Nantucket, she bought a time share because they told her it was a $45, 000.00 or more Time Share, for only $8, 998.00 and she could resell and make a HUGE PROFIT! So, she signed the papers to buy the LOUSY BARGAIN, and guess what? They said to us that "We took the $1, 295.00 and put it on the time share! WHAT? I NEVER signed to buy a time share, just my friend, and became angry and the salesman said, "We owe you two a FREE cruise! CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS? Well, to make a long story short, my friend cancelled out on the time share (thank goodness) and I demanded my $1, 295.00 returned and am still fighting this day for the money! They lied and said it was placed in Nantulcket, then they said it was put into my friend's RCI account, then they said it was put in the Cruise, then they said it was placed in my friend's check account, then they said, "I guess you lost it." Ok, the legal advice I received was that since I personally never signed for any time share whatsoever, only a CRUISE, then Nantucket should return the $1, 295.00. Are these people thieves? They certainly change their stories faster than a woman is accused of changing her mine. You folks haven't heard the last of this!

They don't reply to concerns. I emailed twice and left a message twice. Caveat emptor...if you go to one of their presentations, you need to ask how many points you need to book your usual size unit for 1 week more than 45 days out; and it's accompanying maintenance fees. Verify (there or book something immediately). If you like what you hear, you shouldn't have a problem. You'll need about 50000 points to book in advance and to have the most choices. 14000 points has huge limitations with when, where, size, etc.

We went to our first presentation and my husband was using a cane and has mobility issues. We were shown a beautiful unit that had elevators and ground level entrance. We were told that all the units were the same and the unit we were purchasing was the same. We were very impressed and purchased at that presentation. We returned later to find that what we actually purchased was down a flight of exterior stairs in the "basement" of the unit we were shown. (A unit that is inaccessible for my husband due to his mobility issues). They were very willing to correct the error, if we agreed to pay an additional $10, 000. Meanwhile, we will never again stay in the "beautiful" unit we were shown because that is not the unit we purchased and we cannot access the unit we actually purchased. Branson Nantucket, buyer beware!

Get ready, that $475 is going up and if you don’t pay the $18,000 to get in Lifetime Destinations, you will pay the assessment fee every year AND you don’t get Interval International.

We are members of Branson Nantucket we have stayed here four times. We've had enjoyed her students over can't believe how they lie and deceive people in order to sell these units they need to just be honest with their program. The employees need to be Frank honest I'm completely forthwith how are they going to get to heaven again if they are not honest are completely honest with all of the complaints I have spent 3 hours reading all of these complaints I spent two hours last year we are very fortunate that we don't experience what everybody else is experiencing and I do believe that's because it was the Blessed lady weather that has helped us through this. We do know they make money on upgrading people into other programs and we're going to at Christmas. I would suggest everybody on this post in the Better Business Bureau close to NE to reading into Josh Hawley about this and getting some laws changed with timeshares

We too were lied to and mislead in our sales meeting . We are trying to get out. But no such luck.
We do not recommend this vacation timeshare company at all .
We were told there were no booking fees for RCI if domestic- not true. We were told owners have 90% vote for potential maintenance fee increase - not true. We were not shown the proper chart for the actual value of our points re how many days it would get us in a 3 bedroom home . We were not told that we were buying Yellow season and what that meant. We paid the 3 years of maintenance fees and then were billed again a month later for the same 3 years, this time with a 10% increase.
TERRRIBLE company to work with.

I purchased a timeshare from Branson Nantucket Late in 2019, with promises of an Advantage member ship, and RCI membership & enough bonus points to get a free cruise. Well, Advantage had no benefits I useful to me, RCI could never provide reservations I wanted, and Covid prevented the cruise. Early in 2021 found that health & age problems prevented me from traveling in the future, so I called to try to explore the possibilities of divesting myself from my membership. The Person I spoke to asked if she could return my call as she was "simply swamped". I agreed and left my number. the call was never returned. A month or two later I called again, was told that the original person was out of the office, and she would be given a message. Again, the call was not returned. Today I called the Owner Services number and received a recorded message asking me to leave a message or to contact them at a website address which I missed part of. There was no way to ask to have the message repeated, so I re-dialed several times and the call would never go through. I think at this point it will be cheaper in the long run to hire an attorney.

I fell this place is a rip off. We bought 2018 and have never used it for over $ 21, 000 and they just told my wife our points had expired and we have to wait
Till next year to try to get in. April is already booked. It is a rip off. I could take really nice vacations over the last 3 years with that $21000.00

We also just purchased from Branson Nantucket because we love staying there and they sold us on the fact that they were associated with RCI and we could trade our long time owned RCI timeshare to them and purchase their package and still be able to use RCI.

This was in Sept 2021 and as soon as our RCI deed was signed over to them, we get notification that RCI, a VERY reputable company, has dropped Nantucket like a hot potato. Now we have paid thousands and no RCI. We now only have Nantucket and they refuse to tell us what will replace RCI. We scheduled what they said was an owners information meeting to learn of the new company they are partening with but the meeting was only to try and notice us to pay money to buy our old RCI property back.. for $15,000😳. Are they crazy? I threw out some legal questions as to what date the knee RCI was going to bail on them and the guy immediately shut down and told us he could no longer speak with us… he got their supposed lawyer to come in and he would not answer any of our questions. He promised us that they had a new company would be taking RCI place and we would know all the details by mid March. It is now the 28th and no word from Nantucket. These people are liars and scammers. Also found out during this meeting that when we bought in Sept that they only showed us points chart for last minute bookings only…. Not the real points amt to actually book a weeks vacation. When I questioned them I was told that I must have misunderstood. Nope.. no misunderstanding. They flat out lied to us.

Now with the 24,000 pts we paid $26,000 for… we can’t even get a weekend stay in a 2 br for our 24,000. They told us we would be able to get 3 weeks with our points. This company puts all their paperwork on flash drive instead of paper copies when you buy so that you can’t see that they never include all the paperwork that shows what they wrote down to sell you. I asked about that paper and they told me it would be on the flash drive but of course it was not. This company is the worst. If there is any kind of class action lawsuit against Nantucket… I would love to join. I’m still having my lawyer try to get dates Nantucket knew they were in trouble with RCI. I’m sure there had to be many warnings before RCI finally dropped them. If we get that information we will definitely sue for a FULL refund from this very dishonest company.

They did the same to us with that flash drive trick. They never mentioned what we actually bought was a 1 week every 3 years to their crappy Nantucket resort and that's it! Now they don't have RCI they are completely useless. There is a class action lawsuit in the works but it's only for people that got sold a deed that was already sold. Yes, they are reselling other people's deeds! This company needs to be shutdown pronto! I suggest reporting them to the attorney general in MO and your local one. The more reports to places like BBB and FTC will help too.

Did you ever get out of your timeshare? I bought a points package that turned into a timeshare! I want out.

Nope, still paying them $400 per month for nothing. It sucks because if it's not paid they attack your credit score otherwise I'd have stopped months ago. I did try to reach out to the actual owners who live in a nice big mansion and are constantly donating to politicians (I did a fair bit of research on them) but they just hung up my phone calls and ignored me. I also contacted lawyers in MO who work on timeshare exits but it's even hard to trust them. It's all about money for them all!
