I can't stress enough how terrible my experience was with Cabinet Door World. The people on the phone and chat were so rude and unhelpful, it was unbelievable. I couldn't believe how many lies they told me. They promised me a refund several times, but then changed their mind. They lied about lead times, shipping dates, and the refund. It took three months for my items to be delivered, and even then, some of them were wrong.
I lost so much money and time dealing with this company. It was a nightmare. But I don't want anyone else to have to go through what I did. That's why I'm posting reviews everywhere I can, warning people to stay away from Cabinet Door World. And if you don't believe me, just check their BBB and Yelp ratings. They speak for themselves.

Poor Customer Service and Wrong Product Sent by Cabinet Door World
Took like 40 days to get my Maple Shaker drawer fronts from Cabinet Door World. But when they finally arrived, they sent me the wrong thing - maple shaker door fronts instead. I was pretty bummed out, but when I contacted them about it, they told me that the wood shaker style is the same on both sides. I mean, I get that, but their website specifically says door vs drawer, so I thought there would be a difference. You know what I mean?
Anyway, now I gotta figure out how to mount a drawer to a non-flat door front, which is a real pain in the butt. When I asked CDW about it, they told me that they only have flat backs on MDF products. Like, what does that even mean? Every cabinet drawer in my house has a flat back, and I got 'em all from builder supply houses. I think they just messed up my order and didn't want to fix it.
Honestly, their customer service was pretty bad. I wouldn't recommend them for wood drawer fronts. If you're looking for a supplier, I'd go somewhere else. The only way I can fix this is by gluing a 1/4' filler and hoping it holds up. Not exactly what I was hoping for.

This business, Cabinet Door World, is a complete disaster. We had the worst experience dealing with them. It's hard to believe that they are even a real business. Their work is unprofessional and it's hard to imagine that they are capable of making cabinets. The product they sent us was so poorly constructed that even a toddler could have done a better job. Nothing lined up, the wood was warped, and it was too flimsy to support an exhaust fan. The cabinet was held together in some places by pin nails and some areas barely held together by a glue that was everywhere except where it should have been. It was just awful!
We have been trying to contact them for months to get a refund, but it seems like they are avoiding us. We spoke to a couple of people who said they would get back to us, but they never did. When we finally sent them a detailed email, it took them 10 minutes to get back to us and tell us that we weren't getting our money back. It's just unbelievable! We are so disappointed and frustrated with this business. We will definitely be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

I gotta say, I wish I had checked out the reviews on Yelp before I went ahead and ordered from bestcabinetdoors vendor in NC. It would have saved me a whole lot of trouble and a nearly year-long project on my cabinet doors.
Let me tell you, my experience with them was just plain awful. It took them a whopping 14 weeks to make my cabinet doors, and when they finally arrived, they didn't even match the stain I had requested. And to make matters worse, they refused to fix it! Can you believe that? Their website is bestcabinetdoors.com and they're located in Hickory, NC.
Sure, they may have the lowest fees around, but their quality and response time are just the worst. I'm currently trying to sue them in court, but it's not easy since I live all the way in California. They told me it would take another 15 days, at which point I tried to cancel the order. But they told me that there were no refunds or cancellations.
So, I spent my weekend building the doors myself to try and keep my customer happy. And maybe someday in the next month or so, I'll finally receive the product that is absolutely useless to me now. So I had no choice but to dispute the charge with my bank. And wouldn't ya know it, as soon as they found out about the chargeback, they called me up and said they'd issue a refund if I sent the doors back.
So I did what they asked and sent the doors back via UPS. And let me tell ya, that cost me a pretty penny - $150 to be exact. But I figured it was worth it to get my money back. But now they're tellin' me that they "carried out a service" for me and my dispute has been closed. What kind of service did they provide me? They didn't give me the right product in a timely manner. I'm out almost $2,000 and I have nothin' to show for it.
I feel like I've been completely violated and robbed. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I wouldn't recommend Cabinet Door World to anyone.
Review of Custom Cabinet Company: Slow Delivery, Great Quality, Paint Issues
They are really slow, like turtle slow. But that didn't bother me too much since I was doing a "do it yourself" project and had plenty of time. I called them a couple of times and they gave me some excuses, but I finally got my order. They said they left a message for me, but I didn't get it. Why didn't they call again? I don't know. Maybe they were too busy. I live far away from their plant, so I decided to pick up my order myself to avoid any shipping damage. There was no shipping charge, which was great.
I went to their plant and picked up my door, drawer front, and drawer box. They were packed really well, so I didn't open them until I got home. Everything was perfect. The construction and materials were excellent. The paint job was perfect too. There was no damage at all. I was worried that the large door might be warped, but it wasn't. The hinges were easy to adjust for a good fit. It's been over a year now and the door and drawer are still working great. I'm really happy with my purchase.
The only problem I had was with the paint. I paid them to paint the door and drawer front to match my existing cabinets and trims, which are a standard Sherwin Williams color. The paint job was well done, but the colors didn't match. They were close, but not the same. I called them and sent them photos as evidence, but they didn't help me. They just made excuses and said it was the SW color I ordered. That's not true. I've used SW paint many times before and it always matches perfectly. They finally said I could return the doors and they would repaint them, but that wasn't practical for me. I didn't want to make the drive to their plant again and risk another long wait and a wrong color again.
So I had to redo the painting myself, which was a pain. I paid for a professional paint job and didn't get what I paid for. I think they used paint on hand or painted along with another order that was a similar color to my SW color. They probably thought it was close enough, but it wasn't. I don't know for sure, but that's my guess. The guy who helped me on pick up was great though. They have a decent size facility, but I couldn't tell if they manufacture there. I saw several designers at their desks, one of whom was working on a large full kitchen design.
I think they have issues with non-timely delivery because they prioritize large orders and batch smaller similar orders for efficiency. If your order is "small," they'll get to it when they can batch it with another order(s). If you have a timeline to meet, they're not a good choice. In my case, I'd give them a 5 for overall quality and would use them again if timing isn't an issue (but I wouldn't have them paint). But their failure to meet their order timing commitments, poor communication, and getting my color wrong with no realistic offer to make it right causes me to downgrade my overall rating significantly. You'll get a great, well-built product, but you need to be aware of these other risks if you use them.
