Cair Heating & Cooling, LLC is not very reliable when it comes to paying their subcontractors. They also struggle to have the necessary materials ready for the job. Dealing with them involves a lot of back and forth regarding payments, and they pay an extremely low amount for jobs that are actually worth much more. Additionally, they frequently move us from one project to another, causing inconvenience.
Ken was awesome!
Ken was awesome! He was super professional, really informative, knew his stuff, and was easy to chat with. We just built a new place and he took the time to teach us about our brand-new HVAC system without any hesitation! If Ken is a typical example of Cair Heating and Air, I'm confident their service is top-notch. Thanks a bunch, Ken!

We called Cair Heating & Cooling on Sunday, May 23 'cause our old a/c wasn't working after 19 years. Kevin came by the next day, Monday, 5/24, and told us all about our options. We agreed on a price that was lower than other guys, and his crew showed up the next morning, Tues, 5/25. They installed the new unit in about 6 hours. Anthony and J.B. were awesome. The unit is working great and we're super happy. 5 Stars all the way. Ski and Sue, Pewee Valley, Ky.

On August 21, our church got two new AC units, a new furnace, and 2 coils. The installers, Hunter, Richie, Chris, and Seth came on time with a crane operator. They worked well together, answered our questions, cleaned up, and took away the old units. I really suggest this HVAC company. The office staff is great and ready to answer any questions. We also want to buy a maintenance agreement with them. They also gave us helpful info to maintain the new equipment. Pat ***, Head Trustee.
They totally lied about their pricing
They totally lied about their pricing. I talked to Wendy on the phone and she told me over and over again that the service call and first hour of work would be $156, and then $75 for each hour after that. But guess what? CAIR said the repair only took 32 minutes, yet they sent me a bill for $260 for labor. The only reason I didn't have to pay for the part is because it's still under warranty. When I called to question the ridiculously high charges, Maureen, the office manager, just said the person who gave me the price was new and didn't understand how they charge. She even admitted that she heard my conversation with Wendy the day before when I called. These people are shady, so stay away from them. Maureen couldn't even explain their labor rates properly. All I want is a straight answer. Oh, and by the way, the technician replaced a capacitor. Thankfully, the unit is working now.

We called CAIR on June 8 for an AC tuneup cuz the ac has been havin' some issues and we thought it might help. We were originally told that they would come that Friday the 10th. They never showed up. My fiancée called CAIR on Monday the 13th to see what had happened and apparently they couldn't get ahold of him so we rescheduled for today June 15th. He was told they could arrive anytime between 12-4. At 330pm I called to make sure they were still comin' and I was told that they would be, but that it would now be at 530pm. We called again around 5:15pm and I believe Nancy told us that yes we were still on the service list for today and that the tech was wrappin' up at the house prior to us. It is now close to 7pm and we have yet to receive a call from such technician and the call center is now closed. I am really upset and highly disappointed in your company and will not be recommendin' you all to any friends or family.
Unpleasent Experience
Unpleasent Experience. When they installed the complete High Efficiency unit the breaker blew and the installer had to call for help. They did make it passed that point. The heat worked and two weeks later we tried the AC side and got 95 degree air. Called for service and a day or two later a service text needed 41/2 hour to rewire the system and add a overlooked “P trap to the drain. All of the ductwork they did was with silver duck tape. No tinsmith need for that lol. Also when the installation was first completed there was no filter installed. Watch the salesman Jeremy too. I paid for the extended warranty and told the first years cleaning and service was included and thereafter I’d pay a discount rate for the remainder. WRONG I have to pay for all services other than substantial warranty claims. I was told all the paperwork agreed to would be neatly printed out and brought with the installer. With all that transpired that day I fail to carefully read the contents of the package. When I called to schedule the first service I was told that the complimentary service didn’t exist. I will be finding another authorized Amana dealer for all my future cleanings and checkups. I hope this information helps you make a better decision than I did. Disapointed customer Wayne

We contact Cair after getting a couple quotes from other local businesses. Cair was definitely the cheapest we found, but that obviously lowers the quality all around as well so be prepared for it to cost you a headache too. We didn't get a great system, we needed something that worked and was affordable as we had just paid for an unexpected funeral the week before and wiped out our savings. They absolutely made an effort to make sure that we could have our system replaced before summer hit. They do third party financing and seem to have a good relationship with the company so they can work with people with credit issues and little or no down payment. It took about 6 hours to have the system installed on a Monday. They did arrive a half hour earlier than expected, but I was up. Their manager also randomly stopped in while they were installing for seemingly no reason other than wandering around and talking really loud about how we're going to looove this (I should've known then). AC worked fine after installation on Monday. On Tuesday we noticed that the thermostat wouldn't read below 75 all day although it was set to 68 so we agreed to watch it. Wednesday I came home from work and it was 78 inside the house with the thermostat now set to 64 and the temp outside only 70, so hotter in the house with ac on then it was outside with a two day old system! I called, but it was raining so they couldn't get anyone out to look at it. I scheduled for Saturday between 10-2 so I didn't have to miss any more work for this, and on Friday afternoon at 3pm I get a call telling me that I am still on the schedule but they're running late. So my appointment was put in for the wrong day and I have to leave to make it home for the tech to not show up for a few hours causing me to cancel that nights plans. When he does come he looks and immediately tells me there is nothing he can do because it is frozen so it needs to thaw, but that the next day doesn't work for him so he'd be back on Sunday. (Next day was derby but he tried to explain it as it would take at leeaast 24 hours for it thaw... it was 78 outside and all the ice was off that night) Sunday comes and he has no idea why or what was wrong with it but it was low on charge, so he recharged, and "if we need any more hep just give us a call"... What am I supposed to interpret from this? Thanks for the 1year labor warranty since it seems like I'm definitely going to need it? He didn't "see any leaks or anything" but "sometimes these new ones come in damaged, forklifts ya know". I'm aware of what a leak detector sounds and looks like and didn't see one used to check my system. If there isn't a leak, and I do imagine if there was and it dumped everything within one day on a brand new system it would be hard to miss, then what made it fail and freeze in 24 hours? Do the installers just barely fill these when put in hoping they'll last long enough that we then have to pay to have them recharged shortly after? Do they not inspect the systems they are charging thousands to install? And if it was damaged before installation, why do I now have to have a faulty system repaired instead of receiving the brand new working system I paid for? So yeah, I saved a couple thousand dollars and *currentlyhave working AC, but it's been in for a week and already needed repair so if you can afford to have less patience and more options I'd go somewhere else. If you can't, hey, at least most of the people are nice.
