I had been evicted from Lamplighter Village in Melbourne, FL for having an unapproved dog living at my place. I explained to them that the dog was an Emotional Support Dog owned by someone else and not myself. I also explained to them that the dog had been removed from residence months before. The manager did not believe me and insisted at the hearing that people had reported to her that the dog was still on property. It was the neighbors dog! I was given until Jan 1, 2024 to vacate. I have bought another place since and have already moved in, but I am still trying to clear out my house and get it ready for sale. She is now threatening to take my place and states that I am not allowed to enter my home. I have been paying my rent all along. I tried to pay my rent for the month of January and she has refused to accept it. I need to finish cleaning the home and make repairs to be able to put it up for sale. But she continues to state that I am not allowed to do that-that I cannot enter the home. Am I not allowed to maintain my property and to make sure it is not vandalized? Afterall, I still have to pay the lot rent-although she is refusing to accept it for this month.
Desired outcome: I want to be able to continue paying my rent and enter my home to clean it and make repairs, so I can put it up for sale.
