Selling Campers that shouldn't be
I bought a brand new Keystone Cougar 30FT half ton camper from Camping World I had it in my driveway for a week and a half and decided to start putting my camping gear in camper. I lowered the table in the dinette area for travel which they did not do when I took camper off the lot, now I know why the table doesn't actually fit in the proper position and there is a hole in the underside of the dinette seating area in the wood, the stairs that fold up inside camper only one side latches, the straps that hold the doors from sliding while travel the screws came out of the door, the molding on the outside of front door was falling off when I got it home lucky I didn't lose it, Oh and the camper was not Detailed or any shape of being cleaned. Also the back window frame on the outside has a dent in it which they said they are not replacing! Now our camper has been at the dealer for a Month, it has been at the dealership longer than it has been in my driveway, I have made a payment on it and have not even went camping in it and coming up on second payment. Camping world service department sucks. the Quality of the product they are selling awful, but they will say they don't build them which is correct but Quality Assurance to make sure your customers don't have these issues would be great. Stop selling crap
they should buy back my camper so i can get one some place else!
Desired outcome: Buy back this camper it is new never slept in
Camping world sales department fayetteville nc
/I am an employee at another dealership. I was harassed by a sales employee from Camping World Fayetteville in Hope Mill NC. I was simply trying to download a passport brochure. I get a call from camping world yesterday 9/13, in regards to purchasing a passport rv. I was not interested in one at all, just trying to get the brochure. The lady called back multiple times trying to harass me and the receptionist. Then I go to check our company's review page and she puts my first and last name on their to make me look bad and harass me on my dealerships platform. Then this morning precedes to send me an email. This is harassment and unacceptable behavior, especially from someone in sales
Desired outcome: Fired
Selling Pre-Owned Trailer
Do not trust the Camping World Apollo, PA dealership if you selling a pre-owned trailer. They lowered the price offered by 25% after inspection while the required repairs / replacements should have resulted in only a 10% reduction (based on retail costs from Camping World website and reputable tire company). Did not offer itemized costs to justify reduction. Clearly bait and switch strategy. I have never been treated so unfairly - and they definitely did not care!
Details:
$9,900 offer based on NADA pricing and condition of my travel trailer (detailed description of trailer and pictures sent via email, multiple phone conversations).
I took a vacation day and drove 58 miles to their dealership. After inspection they lowered their offer by $2,500. This summary explains and confirms how unfair and ridiculous their counter offers were.
Source: Camping World Website
30lb propane tank - $89.99
LED Lighting, 10ft stripes - $23.98 (qty of 2) ... interesting that replacement required when only two (2) LED lights are not working in a 1.5 inch section out of 20 feet
Rubber roof sealer - range of $68.48 to $92.05
Total retail price of the above items = $206.02 (used higher sealer price)
Source: Pep Boys Salesperson
Carlisle 185/80D13 tires - $79.99 per tire
Install - $17 per tire
Balance - $12 per tire (which is not normally recommended for my size trailer - I included the balance since they said required).
Total retail price = $496
$9,900 less total retail price of $702.02 = $9,197.98.
Even with their insulting counter-offer of $8,000 they lowered the price for my trailer by $1,900. And of course, their costs are NOT retail prices. In my opinion their labor costs would have been no more than 3 to 4 hours (if not less).
Classic bait and switch strategy. They clearly tried to take advantage of me and probably did not think I would take my trailer back home.
Extremely disappointing experience. A waste of my time and money to travel to their location. I will never understand how they could think they were treating me fairly.
Camping World has lost a customer for life.
Desired outcome: Nothing they can do to resolve this now. I would never drive the 58 miles to their dealership again to experience their unfair treatment.
Rotten roof.
My wife and I bought our first camper in April of 2022 from the Camping World location in Greenville NC. The first problem we had was with our Financial paperwork, after closing on the sale and delivery of our 2016 Keystone Montana High Country we noticed that all of the paper work that was provided to us was not ours.
The paper work was for another couple that had just bought a camper at the same location, all of their banking info and contract for their newly purchased camper, their full Social Security Numbers, places of work and how long they have worked there, and their home address's and how long they have lived there. I contacted the dealership to notify them of the paperwork we had received and the information it contained, they tried to reassure me that it was impossible for them to have mishandled the paperwork and tried to play the whole situation off as if it was not a big deal. This information in the wrong hands could have been abused very easily and used for fraud. What if it was your paper work that was mishandled?
The second issue we had was quite recently, about a week ago my wife and I were sitting on our couch watching tv in the camper we live in full time when water started pouring inside. After placing a bucket down to catch the water I called a mobile tech to come inspected the camper and find where the water was leaking in. After his inspection he notified me that the roof of the camper that we have only owned for four months has significant rot damage and in order to fix it correctly the entire roof will have to be replaced. The customer service at this location is lacking to say the least, and the inability to realize a problem and take it seriously has taught us to never come back to this company again.
Service & Product
Quick History:
1. I had a knee replacement June 14th and with issues all year, this limited our family outings 10-fold. I healed enough in July so we started really looking at travel trailers. Finally making contact with a very nice sales person Terry Mattke.
2. On July 23rd my family and I made our way to Camping World in Sioux Falls, SD.
3. Met Terry, looked at several trailers and decided on the 2022 Heartland Mallard Tailwind, model #T180BH
4. Hitch and battery, we were told would be about $700.00 - $800.00
a. They knew year, make, model of my truck prior to purchase of travel trailer
b. Turned out actual cost was $1,228.27
i. They gave us a $300 gift card
5. We made our purchase $25,053.76
6. Arranged to pick up the trailer the following week on Thursday July 28th, 2022 so there team could go through all aspects before releasing trailer
Walk through before we left 7/23/2022
1. There was a piece of something that was hanging down in front like frayed netting
a. I mentioned it and was told it was cosmetic and no big deal it will be taken care of
2. Grease mark across the mattress in murphy bed
3. Grease marks across the cabinets
4. Fridge door wouldn’t open
Pickup Day:
1. July 28th, 2022 we picked up the trailer about 4pm
2. Terry met us, helped us hook up
3. Off we went
4. It towed great and we couldn’t wait to get home
a. We had made camping reservations for August 13th – 16th
Issues:
1. Got home and noticed the frayed netting was still hanging down
a. Got down there a bit and found it to be an actual HOLE (pictures attached)
2. Lowered the murphy bed to see the mattress was still streaked with grease
3. We opened the outside storage and the lock just spun scratching the outside of the door
4. Seal was not covering the trim in front on both sides
I immediately text Terry and said he would have someone from service reach out to us
I sent him a picture of the HOLE and he kindly proceeded to tell me that after we left with the trailer he quit the job
o He did not elaborate but was clear he no longer wanted to work there
We spoke with someone from service and had to take the trailer back to Sioux Falls the next day, 7/29/2022
o Told them we had reservations 8/13 and hope to have it back soon
Picked Up 8/11/2022:
1. Spoke to Kyle Schluttner – Service Advisor on several occasions while they had the trailer and day of pickup
2. Was told they would not cover the mattress under warranty – which I couldn’t understand
a. Found out an order was placed during the walk through and it was denied
b. I questioned that at pickup and Kyle got sales manager, Erin
3. I asked Erin if they would compensate us with a couple of camping chairs since it cost us almost $100.00 in gas to make that trip there and back
a. Erin said he could have just replaced the mattress cover but he didn’t and instead he replaced the entire mattress
b. Erin told me he got his hand smacked for replacing a $350.00 mattress but he’d be happy to swap it back out and just replace the cover
c. Erin said it was a “factory default” of that manufacturer of the mattress so that’s why they didn’t feel they should compensate us since they put in a $350.00 mattressn i
i. However, Kyle told us earlier whatever the stain was, it soaked through, guess Erin didn’t know Kyle told us about that
Instead of continuing the conversation with Erin, I left it that
Our First Camping Trip 8/13 – 8/16:
1. We were all set up and pulled the murphy bed down, found the molding around the corner of the little nightstand was all pulled off (picture attached)
2. Went to use the outside grill and found the additional gas line wouldn’t fit and looks like its been sawed off or something (picture attached)
3. The outside mini fridge was NOT secured with the strap – they never attached the inside hook to secure it to begin with
4. I called Camping World and left a message for the NEW sales rep that took over for Terry. His name is Rob.
a. Still haven’t heard from anyone and today is 8/17/2022
Mr. Lemonis, I work in for a very large organization and no matter the industry, customer service is key. Making it right is what it’s all about especially when issues are NOT the fault of the consumer. Customer retention and return customers are key in every industry. We truly LOVE the trailer and are so excited about our future outings, but we’re extremely dissatisfied with the service. I clearly told Erin I find it hard to believe that Camping World, as an organization, would be proud of having a unit go out the door in that condition, then to be told there was nothing else they could do was certainly not the right thing to say.
They knew we were NEW to this entire process and yes, we could have inspected the trailer further before taking possession. It feels like we were seen as “just another deal” to close out the month to make their numbers. Everyone was so nice, except when it came to asking for some compensation for our inconvenience. I thought Erin was arrogant and to say he got his hand smacked for making something right is beyond me.
So the trim on inside needs fixed and we need a new gas line for the outside grill but I do not feel comfortable taking the trailer back to that location. I’m not one to complain AT ALL but this is just too much. Being NEW to trailer shopping and then coming across all this mess did not start our new memories out the way they should have. We still had a great time on our first camping trip. We tent camped our whole life but now at 64 and 67 and a knee replacement on top of that, well the travel trailer sounded like a GREAT IDEA and still is.
I will call them again tomorrow and let them know about the molding and gas line but we feel they will say bring the trailer back because it’s warranty and we won’t have it for the next trip we’ve reserved already.
In the beginning we were just going to leave it as it was until we were out camping and had 2 more issues appear. Therefore at this time, yes we are looking for some compensation as this has gotten ridiculous and am sure you would agree. I’ll leave the compensation at your discretion and trust your organization will turn this around for us.
If you or one of your associates could reach out to us we would be most thankful.
Desired outcome: Replace gas line, compensatation for all the issues and time and money we had to spend due to the fact this trailer should NEVER have been able to be sold in that condition.
Financial department
My Husband an I went 3 weeks ago to look at new camper in Marion Ill. We were there at Camping World for over 4 hours, we left with purchase agreement on new camper with a trade in of 2021 Keystone used Twice. Our Agreement was on paper with new purchase and trade in Balance of $20,000.00, also paid $500.00 down that day. Was Happy with decision.
We were called the next week and told the refrigerator did not work were going to replace it would call when ready. They called and we went on 08/13/2022 to pick up new camper. We were there over 6 hours waiting on paper work to get ready and to walk through. The walk through had notice big dent in refrigerator and back Splash pulled away from wall and reported to contract writer. Nothing was done about that either. In the long hours we were there and then rushed through the contract convinced to sign paper to get clear coat protection on camper and interior also. We were not told How much this was and also wheel protection.
When we looked at camper to hook up to go said was taking so long had to wait on clear coat to dry. Only Tires looked like shined up not camper. The interior floor covered in sawdust and dirt, not cleaned up. the tires was sprayed looked to be armor all. We got home after 8Pm that night. The next day we was looking at camper and contract on camper and notice it had not had anything done to outside was lead to belief that we had paid to have it coated. We then set down to go through all the paper work on camper and notice that every paper has a different purchase price on it. was charged over $5000.00 for service contract. Original purchase price was camper was 45000.00 with trade in of 26000.00 and 500.00 down payment. My husband called first thing Monday to speak with them concerning this and told had been lie to and wanted refund on service contract. Your financial personal are very dishonest people
They have yet to call back on this matter. So we are seeking your advise in this matter. There was several people there that day most everyone was having to wait 5 to 6 hours to get anything done people are tired and hunger ready to get out of there. I do not know if this is how they rush you through signing paper work because you are so tired and ready to leave or so you make mistakes and not ready every little line of contract. This is the second camper we have purchased from Camping World. We would appreciate if someone form corporate to please look into this matter. We are only wanting money back on these falsely represented contracts or let is know they are being looked into. Our saleman was named Sidrick and had only been there couple months. Did all he could do very nice young man.
can anything be done in this matter. Thank you for any help you can give
Desired outcome: Would like a refund $5325.00 for service contract not worth paper written on
RV
Purchased a brand new 2022 forest river vibe, in March of 2022. Got it home and awning would not close properly. Reported it to Good Sam/ Camping World.
They said it would need to go back to the Dealership. In Eau Claire Wi.
Well could not drive it down the road, with Awning sticking ouf.
Called Good Sam Roadside Assistance. They sent somebody to house to get it worthy enough to go down road and to the dealership. Well it took a arm off and left it hanging on the ground! The awning got torn up and bent up. My husband zip tied and duck taped it enough to bring into dealership.
Well the dealership did not have appointment for a month.
Brought it to dealership. Was told it was gonna be warranty work.
They called us a week latter to come get camper. They would have to order parts and get approval for warranty work
Last week i was informed that the warranty was not going cover anything. Been trying to get a hold of somebody at man office for camping world. They will not call me back.
I have a brand new camper with no awning. A company that wont fix it. Or even acknowledge the problem
Desired outcome: Want a awning put on camper! Under warranty work
liers and camper repair
This is my third time putting in a complaint. You really dont care. My camper is new, I have not beenable to use it do to suspension problems. Did have a bad tire
company caused but got tired of waiting . Do have witnesses on that. Was sold something I did not no I had for 2,000.Was told I had to pay 2.000 for them to inspect and wash before we picked it up. Was told later from there service department that they inspect and does not cost anything. They did not inspect it or wash it when we got there. There was an issue before and they did not fix it.
No inspection was made. They got there money and that was it.They did have to fix it butdid not go through it. Besides the suspension I wonder what eles could be wrong. They have 2 stars and alot of complaints. no integrity at all. I want some action and my 2,000 back which was stolen.Should pay for loss of vacation time. Spent it trying to get the R.V fixed.
Desired outcome: Fixed and 2,00 plus loss vacation time.
Fraudulent use of credit card
We have no relationship with Good Sam. We have never had a membership, never made a purchase, and have NO relationship with Good Sam. Good Sam is owned by Camping World. We have made 2 purchases with Camping World in the last 3 years; the most recent was on 5/28/2022, when we used our Discover Card to purchase 2 camping chairs. We only purchased the 2 chairs. On 7/24/2022 a charge was debited against our Discover Card from Good Sam for a one year membership, via a manually keyed transaction in California. We were not in California; we did not purchase anything from ANYONE on 7/24/2022. We contacted Good Sam, who verified we have no membership and they had no information about this transaction. We immediately advised Discover of the fraudulent use of our account, and they closed our account and will be issuing new cards. As we are full-time and use this account for ALL financial transactions, we are now left with no credit card and little cash, as we are in the middle of nowhere, Pennsylvania.
Someone in the Swedesboro, New Jersey Camping World shop, or someone they are/were in contact with has our OLD Discover account number. Someone needs to be held responsible.
Desired outcome: We need an explanation on how this fraudulent use of our Discover Card by Camping World/Good Sam occurred.
2015 coachmen freedom express-cracked frame
We purchased this 3 years ago from Camping World Myrtle Beach. The frame has multiple cracks and everyone agrees it is a manufacturers defect because the way it is cracking, however no one will do anything. Camping World won't find someone who can cut out and repair the frame and they say it's too dangerous to move so what are we supposed to do? We owe $15K for a big paperweight! We asked to trade it in and the sales manager said it wasn't worth anything and "sorry about your luck". I complained to the "If You're Not Happy, I'm No Happy" site only to be told again, "sorry". How is this fair? You sold us a camper with a faulty frame and now you won't take it back, even in trade? We've had 3 people tell us, 2 from Camping World, that the frame was obviously damaged when we purchased it. In he 3 years we've owned it, it went on 2 weekend trips about an hour away and one 5 day stay in TN. The rest of the time it sat in storage. Now that we're finally ready to retire and hit the road, we have nothing. "Sorry about your luck" just isn't fair, or something a reputable company would even say.
Desired outcome: Trade it for $15 on new unit, swap even-up for another unit worth $15K, or have them get a certified welder to fix the frame at no charge to us since it was under full warranty when dropped off.
Failure to respond to faulty product (2022 salem villa forest river) camper
My husband (100% Disabled Veteran) and I (5 children) purchased a brand new 2022 Salem Villa Forest River camper from Camping World (CW) in West Boylston, MA. We put a down payment of $35,000 and, was told by Camping World we had to finance the rest of the amount. The camper was delivered to our campsite on Saturday, 5/28/22. Upon delivery, damages had already occurred to our camper. First one being the bathroom doorknob which sheared off due to CW's negligence. CW told to us it would be summited as a work to be replaced. To date, still has not been fixed or put on a work order. There were cosmetic damages in a few areas of the camper that were noted during the final walk through. The outside pantry door was not properly installed, and it does not seal closed correctly. This was noted during our walk through, again told it would be put on a work order. All TV access points do not work, except for the main cabin area. The ac unit is not working properly in the main cabin area. This has all been noticed by us at the walk through and during the first week of owning the camper. CW each time being put on notice and each time we were told a work order has been submitted. To date, none of these issues has been fixed or even put on a work order.
On June 5, 2022, a small drip was discovered in the kitchen faucet. Attempted to call CW on June 5, but their service department was already closed. We then called CW first thing Monday morning June 6, 2022, to let them know about the faucet. We were told by their service department that this would be once again put on a work order, and someone would be sent out to us since our camper is a park model and stays on our site. On Thursday, June 9, 2022, we received a text message and a phone call from our neighbors who was there to put something in our freezer. Upon arrival to the sliding door, the camper floor was flooded. It was the entire main floor area, under the sink, under the refrigerator, and even went as far as the rear bunkhouse rug and floor. We left the camper to go to our home residence to take care of a family matter and was not planning on being gone for more than a 24-hour period. We then called CW once again on Thursday, June 9 to let them know that there was now extensive water damage. Told by CW that damages were already done, and told by CW service department, water issue should never be put on a work order. It should have been dealt with on emergency basis. CW sent out their service technician on Saturday, June 11, 2022, now six days later. Even after our many attempts of calling and letting them know about these issues. Their service technician advised us that there was extensive damage to the floors estimating around $30,000 worth of damage. He did replace the faulty faucet. Forest River were the ones to inform us that CW filed paperwork to Forest River's warranty department on our behalf, of which we have no knowledge of what was filed. Neither party would give us a copy of this filed paperwork.
Camping World/Forest River refuses to take accountability for their own neglect in their defective equipment, not fixing it in a timely manner, nor coming out in a reasonable time after we reported all these defects within the camper. The campers repair value exceeds the total loss value. After multiple conversations with both companies, we are stuck with a brand-new camper that should be deemed unsafe and unhabitable due to the results of the negligence on their behalf. (Camping World/Forest River)
Desired outcome: To replace the camper due to it being considered a total loss and the water damage.
Lack of service
On 5/13/2022 we purchased a Thor Scope 18M class B motor home Vin # 3C6LRVBG1ME568742 Serial # BTL018M0006917 from Camping World in Kingston N.Y., picked it up on 5/17/2022.
Found on 5/20/2022 while trying to start the generator heard a hissing sound coming from underneath the unit. While investigating found bad electrical connection, L.P. And CO2 detector, TV amplifier not working.
We were given an appointment for 6/3/2022 W/O 41335 for repairs to be made.
The repairs should have been made before the unit was delivered to us. It's been 4 weeks and the camper has not been touched. Have now made 2 payments for something we don't have or are able to use.
Would you be happy if this was yours and you haven't used it yet?
The problems mentioned are a hazard and need to be fixed before it's safe to use.
As of today 7/1/2022 the unit has not been looked at, nor has anything been sent to Thor as it's under warranty.
This problem is likely not isolated to only our unit.
Unhappy campers Harry and Dorothy Boice
Desired outcome: Repaired or replaced motorhome.
Service
I would give less that one if I could. This place is unbelievable. Bought our camper last July and only used it like three times. The last time we took it their was a rain and all of a sudden the big slide out started leaking uncontrollably. It was ridiculous you could see the damage done to the ceiling and the water sitting in the light above the table. And the electrical stopped working. Took it back to camping world to get it fixed. I have the service tech admitting on recording that camping world didn't check the camper over properly and the slide out was never caulked! So obviously anyone who knows campers knows that when water gets into a camper it is not long that it starts to rot! So a brand new camper will be rotted in a few years. Decided to work with them and ask them either replacing the slide out so there is no future problems or letting us find something on their lot of equal or lesser value. Rob denied all of what the service tech said and their service manager Justin didn't even know that there was wood in the walls of the camper. ARE YOU SERIOUS? I even tried dealing with the number of the cooperate office and they all refused. So finally got a lawyer and we started out civil, we did a defamation instead of making a huge splash. But they still say no fault to them on the leak or electrical damage that still they have not found. WE are not done, we will be fighting further into it. Especially since I every phone call I make or take on my phone is recorded and all of it is documented very well. OOOOOOOHHHH and I tried picking up my camper this weekend because they all stated to give a days notice and I can pick it up whenever but now if I do there wont be a walk through like both legal parties stating that needed to be done at the time of pick up! This has gotten ridiculous and obviously they don't care about their customers or quality of what they selling.
2022 Thor Hurricane
We picked out a Thor Ace 29M and were very excited to see it. We went to Cedar Falls Camping World and did a walk through. We asked to have a second air conditioner installed in the back area bedroom. We were going to pay to have it done. They agreed to do this. A few days later they called my husband to tell them they were unable to install a second air on a 30 amp camper but they were going to upgrade us to a Thor Hurricane and we would only need to pay an additional $5000.00 dollars. We checked it out online and agreed to switch to the Hurricane. They were extremely nice to us while we were in the process of buying the unit. We picked it up on Saturday June 18th 2022. They gave us a walkthrough and told it was all gone through by master mechanics and all was good. We were on a timeline to get to an appointment. As my husband went to leave he carefully slid the driver curtain back and it completely fell apart and all hooks, screws and mounts fell to the floor in about 20 pieces. The propane tank that they told us was full was only at 29%. When we were driving it home we noticed that the temperature guage on the transmission was showing hot, so my husband slowed down and temp came down a little bit. When we called Camping World, they were not very helpful in finding a place to have it worked on. After a few days I was very stressed about this and asked about trading for something else and they could fix this one. The general manager told me that I would be looking at a used motorhome at this point. I was taken back by his comment and it felt like a slap in the face. I am dissappointed in how they bent over backwards while were in the process of purchasing the motorhome, but the minute we needed assistance on something that should have been caught by their mechanic they treated us very differently. We are still waiting to see if our local ford dealership is able to figure out what is going on with the transmission. We have had to put off our travel arrangements due to this.
I am very disheartened and saddened as we work extremely hard for our money and were looking forward to spending relaxing and quality time in our new motorhome. I hope this works out soon as I have shed enough tears over something that should be a joyful experience.
Desired outcome: I would like to get the additional $5000.00 we had to pay back for not realizing the camper could not take a second air conditioner and we had to be moved to the Hurricane.
Thor motor coach, Chateau 27R 2022 SCE027R0016958
Bought RV from Camping World Greenwood, In. 46143 on March 11 2022.My husband drove home and parked in garage at home. Due to climate we waited to work on RV preparing for camping Wed. March 16th, 2022. I noticed while mopping floor, that I could see outside at the beginning and end of the slide, seals not properly working. And when I entered had noted metal shavings on top of bed base. (folding bed) I informed my husband of what I had discovered while inside. Later when he put slide in, he noticed the slide was not flush with RV and lobsided. He called Camping world to have the RV looked at to service this problem plus others we had discovered that needed fixed. Weleft our RV at Camping World March 18th, 2022.Camping World worked on slide last week. 13-17 June 2022 and now say the problem with slide is worse than it was in beginning. We have never got to use it, paying on it monthly, paying insurance and 1st plates and need to purchase plates again in July for the 2022 yr.
Very unhappy with service and treatment.
Desired outcome: Refund of down payment and payments made plus money for trade-in on Loredo 2011 rear kitchen with 3 slidesNew RV with no problems

I am the dummy here. One would think that I would learn my lesson. Took my RV to this Camping World 3 years ago as the slide was leaking, they said they could not find a leak but charged me $500 to seal the slide. The first time it rained guess what the slide is still leaking, took it back, they still could not find the leak. I have finally settled for closing the slide whenever it rains. I took the RV to them last year for some repairs, they kept it for 5 months, I was on the road when they said they were finished. They had one of their drivers deliver the RV to my home. When I got home, not only were the repairs not done correctly, they took parts off my RV to repair other RVs. It was not until I said something did they order new parts to replace on my RV. When it was delivered to my home the delivery driver pulled the electrical connection completely out of the cone and instead of telling someone he stuck it in the 5th wheel receiver for me to find when I got home.
This year I took the RV back again to repair damage as an insurance claim. The insurance company and Camping World agreed on repairs, the insurance company paid the claim, I paid the deductible. Instead of making the repairs as agreed Camping World took the money and did patch work on my RV. As I guess is customary I took care of the bill in the service department and then they brought my RV around for me to pick up. When I saw the way the repair was done I advised this was not acceptable. The service manager Mike told me the parts were sent to him damaged and to make the repair properly he would have to reorder the part and he does not know how long that will take. I believe if I were to try to sell or trade the RV with the repair as is they would not buy it or penalize me for the repair. I have filed a complaint with the Florida Attorney General for consumer affairs, and am filing a complaint with the Florida Dept of Insurance for insurance fraud. As seen over the past 3 years this is not a mistake but the way they do business.
Desired outcome: Make the repairs you were paid to make.
Service warranty and staff conduct
I have been trying to get issues resolved since March 2022 when I bought my 2022 Forrest River 4007G2 toy hauler. First off I included in my purchase for a washer dryer and this model has a manufacturer defect of not having enough room to install one. So I settled for awning covers for my slides instead. My doors won't close right and latch correctly. They said it was a mistake from the factory puting in the wrong screws, what they did is make it worse. Now they are telling me they are going g to charge me $240. To come and fix an issue I have had since I bought it. I can not take it to them since I have put a permanent deck I front of my camper. Besides if you read the reviews, they take forever meaning months if you take it to them. This is my permanent home, I can not wait for months to have it fixed.
Desired outcome: Fix my camper and not charge me for something that is a factory error
2020 Forest River Sunseeker 2400B MBS
I received an email from a regional sales manager to sell my RV to Camping World. I WAS QUAOTE A RANGE OF $79K TO $86.1K.
When I went into the inspection, i was advised the RV was in excellent condition. The price quoted though was $79k maximum. The $86.1k was consignment and was the NADA book value.
Since I was advised the book value was only $86k, I decided to accept the $79.
Camping World is selling for $131k. Why did Camping World state NADA was only $86.1k? This process appears very misleading and quite frankly deceptive.
Desired outcome: Review real value of RV and come to fair sell value.
