Awful stay away!!
On August 2, 2024 we bought a car from America's Car-Mart in Paducah.
On August 7, I took the car back to them because it was smoking. I was told they had switched out the engine before selling it to me, and that it was just leftover oil and was fine.
On August 10, I broke down going down the highway.
It is October 5 and I still do not have my car back. We’ve been told excuse after excuse including they’ve apparently put in a new transmission 3 different times now. We’ve been told on multiple occasions that the manager is “too busy” to talk to us. They’ve promised to call us back and have not. Even corporate emails have gone unanswered. We’ve still been expected to make payments or it’ll be reflected on our credit report that it is late. 1st payment was $600 the next two were $505. $1,610 for a car we do not even have, and to a company who is too busy to call us back. We’ve specifically been dealing with the manager Eddie Bahic, who does not return phone calls to us when we leave him messages.
Please please share and keep anyone else from using this horrible company. Keep your money! It might seem like an easy way to get financed, but because it comes at a cost! I’m done playing nice. I had to cancel my daughter’s birthday party because I did not have a reliable car, and now I’ve missed the chance to say my final goodbyes to my grandmother. And yes I told them this, I begged them for a solution. The only help they offered was we could “come in and apply for a 14 day extension if we were having trouble making the payment.”

I paid my 17000.00 vehicle down to 4000.00. I became unemployed and begged for help. On the day I was 2 payments behind, they tracked my car through G.P.S. to St. Vincent Hospital, where I was visiting my elderly father and repossessed it there on the spot.
Buyer Beware, CarMart Evansville, Indiana.
I had made a payment November 3, and they repossessed my car on November 11.
Their policy states you are late a day after your payment due. They will send a letter to you asking for arrangement. Then they will pay an in personal visit to your home to arrange payment, and that you have 40 days from late date before your vehicle is repossessed.
I received no letter.
I received no vit to my home.
They repossessed my vehicle 8 days after my November 3 payment. Well before the promised 40 days to make it right.
Claimed loss: My vehicle.

I bought a 2012 Lincoln mkz.
Water pump went out. no big deal, I thought.
Technician called and informed me that the cars front end suspension was out, ALL four motor mounts are broken, main seal is leaking, oil pan leaking, water pump is out and is internally ran by the timing chain which needs replacing as well.
Total cost $8,000.00

SUV purchased 5/23/2023
I went to get a car and was offered a 2011 Ford Edge the sales rep told me the car had just gotten out the shop and it was good to go! Get home check engine light comes on I called them immediately they told me to take it to a particular shop took it there and they said it had a evap leak and they was waiting on Carmart to give them the okay to fix the car that never happened, it sat there for two days! I was told to come get the car because the repair shop couldn’t get ahold of them to approve the repairs, so I go get it! Two days later light still on, by this time I go to get into it the door handle breaks and the brake pedal goes all the way to the floor called Carmart again was told to take it back to the mechanic it would be fixed that never happened! Then I get a phone call from the account rep about a payment and I told them I wasn’t making no payment until my truck was fixed properly! They said they was coming to get it to have it fixed, well the GM and account rep came and got the car to take it to the shop so they claim they had my truck a week in a half and I ended up losing my job and still didn’t have a car! When I did get it back it was still having the same problems that they claim they fixed! I called every day and the GM played like she didn’t know anything about it blamed the other GM! And today still without a car and it’s still not fixed……

I purchased this vehicle in April of 2029. I'm July of 2020 my family was in Corpus Christi for a vacation when my car broke down. They had it towed and "fixed" at a dealership there. When we left and headed home the vehicle broke down in San Antonio for the same exact reason. I was supposed to start a new job and ended up not being able to start until 3 days after my original start date. Since then I have the same recurring issue with this vehicle. It has stranded me and my children on a major highway, it has left us stranded during some of the hottest hours of the days. Every time it breaks down it throws my check engine light on and says something new is wrong. We pay to get that issue fixed for it to only continue breaking down over and over for the same reason. I have missed days of work, my children have missed school, they have also missed practices and such due to them not fixing the actual problem and just sending me on my way.

2014 chevrolet cruze
I bought this car in January 2023 and it's been in the shop more than it been on the road. I can't get any help from carmart but they start these annoying phone calls the day payment is due. I am on disability and I have spent so much money in repairs, my payment is going to be late. I have replaced 2 surpetine belt, $277 each time, a belt pulley, radiator was busted, rplaced all spark plugs, coil pack, brakes and it is still barely pulling. They sold me a lemon and do not care. I have only had this car for 6 months. So frustrating.

First like to say, I thank carmart for giving me the to be able to get a car from, but at the same time, for a 2009 hyundai azera limited, with 127,000 miles, total payoff is 23,000 dollars for a 2009 hyundai azera limited, on top of that, they wanted my first payment to be 695, then going down to 600, I try to get them to lower the payments, I'm on disability I only get but 907 dollars a month, Carmart, don't you think I have others bills

My 2015 chevy cruze
I purchased this vehicle a year ago from car mart and I have had about 10 repairs done to the vehicle. Several of them major repairs. My car seems to be In the shop e every month sometimes preventing me from making it to work. My warranty has about 6,000 miles left. Recently, I had a heater hose put on my car when I repeatedly told them the hose that busted open and needed to be replaced was my upper radiator hose. So I paid for a hose that didn't need replacing. When I bought the car the salesman told me that the car had just pulled in the lot. The car was not detailed before sold to me nor was it mechanically Inspected. I know this because the engine light came on the first day of purchase about 15 minutes after pulling it off the lot. I am having a plethora of issues with this vehicle and I feel that I was sold a bad car. I would like this issue resolved in one way or another as this whole situation is unfair to me and is costing me and car mart thousands of dollars. Not to mention this car blue books for 7,000 and they charged me 20,000 with interest. This whole situation is morally wrong and nobody should have to deal with this kind of financial stress. Mainly due to the fact that it is a bad vehicle in need of constant repairs.
Desired outcome: Extension on my warranty. Taking legal action is my last option.

I really do need some one to give me a call are and email it's very important that you do cause everyone work at the Valdosta dealership is very unprofessional I call today speaking with young man name Percy he told me that he was going to talk with his manager try to get me in a car that I like to give him 30 min so it's been and hour now so I call him again the customer service lady said that he is in his office helping others customer which I do understand that then she he said he would call me back so he never did I want want and want for his call so I call again then I spoken with aliyah she was pretty helpful but not so helpful so I ask her can I speak with the manager then she said that the manger can't change anything corporate make the price then I said I wasn't not talking about for him to change any price for me so she hung up so here it is 5:51 give are take I ask the young lady may I please speak with the manager she put me on hold for 4 minutes then the manager pick up the phone and said hey we're about to close now we all working out the door can you call back tomorrow about 9 o'clock Percy are aliyah will be here my thing is that how he just pick up the phone just started to telling me they're all just about to walk out the door instead of inducing his self to me and ask me what can I help you with sir that how he should have handled my call I am very very big on customer service I am in customer service so when he said that to me I was like WOW did he just handle me like that that and he's the manager smh this was my 1srvtime calling this place remind you that I don't live in Valdosta I am like hour and half from there it's ok I wouldn't want to do business there anymore I'll take my business elsewhere they really do need to get trained a Lil more butter especially that manager he were the worst of the worst trust me on that my email is [edited] please get intouch with me ASAP

Sexual harassment of carmart employee
I went with a friend to purchase a vehicle they needed me to use as a co signer .after test driving and deciding to purchase the sales man begin getting required information not knowing he would later use my info for his on personal use to harrass and stalk me I have complained to managers he off work a week while investigating the issue then back at work I have complained to managers and have talked with district managers complained twice this happened in 2019 and nothing has been done my privacy was breeched the safety of my family I was harassed and emotionally damaged by his actions I'm not going to leave this matter alone and u will hear from my attorney at hand.

I paid a mechanic and paid for a part that was covered in the service contract 5 days after I put a down payment on a car. Was told my monthly payment was 500 250 every 2 weeks. I have bought and paid off 2 vehicles from Carmart. The last vehicle was paid off over a year early. The last car that I purchased I paid $1300 for the tags. So before I purchased this car, I went to the store requesting my note to be monthly, no tax lump sum payment and my tags to be included. Well, the new manager agreed to pay for my tags when the time came, and i did not have a lumpsum payment. The only thing I had to deal with was the high monthly note every 2 weeks. Well, as soon as it was time to get the tags, I called and reminded him of what he said, and he advised me that he could possibly only pay half, which is not at all what he told me.
Desired outcome: I would like the manager to do what he said he was going to do. Its not fair to me that I have to drive around on expired tags, or pay 1489.50 for tags. That is not fair lending.

I bought a car from the Richmond Ky car mart and I am on SSI I plainly told them I do not file taxes! But they put 2 tax payments of almost 2000.00 one in April and another next year how can they get by with doing this. They said they would take it off when the payment was due but have since changed DM's. now they say they can but my payment will go up! I am going to call an Attorney.

The car broke
I'm currently buying a 2001 ford Taurus from cart-mart. I have only had the car 7 months. Well on day one the air didn't work. Then when it got cold my heater didn't work. So i called car-mart and told them that the heat didn't work, and they told me it was covered in my warranty. I said OK and to it to my mechanic to fix. They flushed it many times and replace many parts to it and still now heat. Well i called car-mart and told them what had went on and told them that i need heat cause i was having a baby and they finally fix it. Well not even a week after they fix the heat the car got really hot. So i end up adding antifreeze to the car. Not two days later it happened again and again i add antifreeze to the car. So i decided to take it to my mechanic again to find out that it had water and antifreeze in the oil. I have been told that i might have to replace the hole motor, i have no clue what to do cause I'm still not back to work due to having a baby and cart-mart told me its not their problem.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
If you can't afford to buy a decent car, why in the world are you having a kid? How are you going to afford it? Or, are you depending on us stupid taxpayers to fund your poor life choices?

I BOUGHT A CAR FROM CARMART OF PADUCAH 7 MONTHS AGO ! WHEN I TURN OFF THE TURN SINGLE, IT KEEP'S ON CLICKING ! THE DASH IS COMMING UP, AND THERE ARE JUST TOO MANY THINGS TO LIST ! BOTTOM LINE IS THEY WILL GET YOU IN THERE AND TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HERE, AND THEN YOU WILL NEVER HERE FROM THEM AGAIN ! BUT IF YOU ARE ONE DAY LATE ON YOUR PAYMENT THEY KNOW YOU BY NAME ! I TELL EVEYONE I SEEN ABOUT THEM AND TO BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE !
Oh that's nothing; Carmart in general is pretty terrible. We bought from the Clarksville TN location. Our driver side controls never worked right and the shop they sent us to kept our truck for three days, gave it back greasy and it still wasn't fixed. Six months after buying the car we had to completely replace the brake system. The exhaust pipe cracked in the middle underneath the truck. We were only $400 behind due to unemployment (yes we called them and they never put any notes into the computer so we'd get five more calls a day after talking to them. This went on for weeks) and they told us to come in and pay $200 and they'd "work something out" with us. What that meant was take the $200, take the truck after they got their money, make us find a ride 30 miles home, then call a few days later and say they want to "work with us" to get us back in our vehicle. They wanted us to pay $375 per week for two weeks, then another $200 after that, for a car that was sale price of $9999, we paid $1900 down to get, and have made a year of payments on (at $400 per month), and our pay off right now is well over $5000. We told them no thanks, keep the truck, we'll eat the money, but we'll let everyone know not to do business with them. Just so irritated that they left us high and dry THEN days later wanted to act like they were doing us a favor.

They sale bad cars
I bought a 2004 PT Cruiser a year and half ago from Carmart and I have had nothing but problems with it! I did purchase the limited warranty on the car and the first thing that went out on the car was not covered by the warranty. Soon after the car was no longer on warranty I started having issues with it over and over again. I would fix something on it that went out and not but a week or two later Something else would go out and it was usually something more major than previous problem. I had to change wheel bearings on both sides in front THREE TIMES! I had to change the Tie rods on both sides TWICE. The transmission started messing up and sensors started going out and it started over heating. We did the regular maintance on the car and kept the car up with what we needed to do and NEVER MISSED a payment or was EVER late the whole year and half that I had it... They refused to help me fix it... or do anything that would help out in anyway shape or form. My last straw with it was the other day driving to work the cv axle broke... its still sitting on the side of the road because Im done putting money into it. I went to a different place and got a new car today and will be telling them they can come and pick up their piece of crap tommorow! I will NEVER purchase a car from them again and I will NEVER refer anyone to them again!

a shop inspect the vehicle before you
sign anything.If they balk at that idea,
just walk away.If they agree, get the
inspection done and have the shop
write up all the defects.Get a written
estimate for the needed repairs.Now
you're able to make a wiser decision.
Car Mart won't agree to fix anything
unless you sign a contract to buy.Their
warranty is stingy, and they rarely respond
quickly to repair issues.Your vehicle may
sit on the lot for days and days awaiting
repairs.In the meantime you're required to
keep payments current for a vehicle you
can't drive.That's how they role.
Some people have good experiences with
CarMart, but the majority don't.
