I recently made a purchase from caratlane.com and I must say, I was not impressed with their customer service. I ordered two sets of ear rings on Sept 20th and was supposed to receive them on Oct 20th, but due to the pandemic, I received them a bit late. However, that's not the main issue here.
I tried contacting their customer service for updates on my order, but they were extremely unhelpful. They had no information on my order and kept promising to get back to me via email, but I never received any updates. As I ordered from the US, I had to stay up late to contact their customer service and still received no help.

I've even sent emails to the company, but no response. Today, I went back to the shop and talked to a salesperson named Ashutosh. He gave me the same old line about them getting back to me. When I asked to speak to someone higher up, the manager, Hitesh, was a real piece of work. He was too busy to talk to me and basically told me to buzz off.
Honestly, I'm pretty disgusted with the whole experience. The service was terrible, the staff was rude, and I feel like I was sold a bill of goods with those false promises. I wouldn't recommend CaratLane to anyone.

I placed an order for a beautiful pair of Glistening Wavy Stud Earrings on April 24, 2021, and was supposed to receive the delivery by May 3, 2021. However, when the courier guy arrived, I was shocked to find that I had only received the invoice copy and not my jewellery. When I asked him about it, he said that he had only delivered the packet that he had received from the company.
I immediately contacted CaratLane and shared all the details with them over the phone and email. However, I was disappointed to receive no satisfactory response from their end. Evil eye necklace from caratlane
I have ordered a Evil eye necklace from Caratlane with Order no. U71EBCF9. I have received the product but I see there is difference in weight in certificate provided by Caratlane and Invoice. The product I got is of 1.981gm as mentioned in Certificate but in Invoice they charged me for 2.326gm. They have not refunded the difference of weight and charging me 2-3k Rupees extra.I tried to reach their customers care service 4-5 times and provided them proof as well but no response was received from their side. It may be small amount but it is about breaking customer trust especially in case of jewellery or gold purchase online. Please look into it and let me know how this can be brought to consumer courts attention.

I bought an 8 hoop from Carat Lane online in October 2018. The product was delivered on time, but unfortunately, the hoops were not opening and I couldn't wear them. I asked for an online refund, but Mr. Furqan convinced me to buy another product and promised that it would be picked up from my home. However, the refund process turned out to be a headache for me.
When the person came to pick up the product, I was at work and asked him to come at 10.30 AM the next day. Unfair Pricing and Sneaky Business Practices at Caratlane: A Review
I wanted to buy some diamonds and I thought Caratlane would be a good place to do it. The prices looked pretty good and they said the diamonds were GIA certified, which is supposed to be a good thing. I picked out some diamonds that were supposed to be "hearts and arrows", which is supposed to be even better than regular diamonds. But then I found out that GIA doesn't actually certify "hearts and arrows" diamonds. That seemed kind of weird to me, but they told me that the GIA certificate would still say "excellent", so I figured it was okay.
The diamonds I wanted to buy cost about AUD 3650, which is a lot of money. But I asked for a discount and they gave me 5% off, which was nice. When I tried to check out and buy the diamonds, though, I got a big surprise. They added almost AUD 1600 for tax and AUD 148 for shipping. That seemed really unfair to me, because they didn't tell me about the tax or shipping when I was picking out the diamonds. I don't think the Indian government would charge that much tax for an export, so I decided not to buy the diamonds after all.
I didn't like the way Caratlane did business. They seemed kind of sneaky and I didn't trust them anymore. Even if they had waived the tax, I still wouldn't have bought the diamonds from them. It was just too slippery for me.

I remember the day I ordered a pendant from CaratLane on the 4th of July 2017. I was so excited to gift it to my friend in Gurgaon on the 7th, as the website stated. I decided to follow up and got 3 different dates on 3 different follow-up calls from their customer care- 11th, 13th, and 14th, post delay on each of these dates. Today is the 14th of July and my gift has not been delivered yet. It is so embarrassing and disappointing to see such a terrible customer service.
I am never going to recommend or shop or gift from here again and neither should you. They have not had the courtesy to respond to Facebook messages, emails, and ensure call backs when they promised that they would do so. Terrible customer service, no respect for the time and money of the customer. It is sad to see such a popular name in online jewelry headed downhill.
I mean, seriously, what kind of service is this? I was promised a delivery date and it got delayed multiple times without any proper communication. The product page stated that there was a 15-day money-back guarantee, with no mention of any restrictions. I received the bracelet on May 31 and immediately requested a return. I have not received any updates on the status of my return request.
I contacted customer service today to inquire about the status of my return. I was informed that I would only be eligible for a refund for the cost of the gold in the bracelet, as it is a personalized product. I am disappointed that this information was not made clear to me when I placed my order. I would not have ordered the bracelet if I had known that I would not be able to return it for a full refund.

I paid Rs18132/ on 07/12/2022 for a Heart Blue Topaz Gemstone Ring from CaratLane. They are providing bill of 15195/ The difference amount of Rs 2937/ is still not refunded to my account. I have contacted many times through their help line. But the are telling refund has been completed from their end. But money is not reflecting in my bank statement. I had sent them my bank statement also.

I bought a bracelet one week ago, they said they would ship it within 2 days. But along with that, they provide no tracking information, nothing at all. I contacted them and was on hold for over 50 minutes. Not sure why they were soooooo busy.
Now I am exchanging emails with one of them and it is a very useless thing. Oh well, as far as I understand there will be no gift for my sister this Christmas.

Why do I think they are scammers? Well, because their products have nothing to do with what's presented on the site. Probably, they steal pictures.
I ordered two rings and got absolutely different ones. No, it was what I ordered, but it looked nothing like the photo on the website. It hardly can be called an expensive jewelry. I can buy the same at the nearest store for 5 dollars. It looks very cheap, I will never wear it. Money spent for nothing.

customs duty
Hi iam currently living in the United Kingdom. This year in the month of January I ordered a small gem product via Caratlane website. Before ordering I spoke to their agent via chat and got a confirmation of the final price given to me. The final price is inclusive of product cost + customs duty + shipping charges. After receiving the confirmation I ordered the product and received the same in good shape. It was delivered by FedEx. FedEx also handed me customs duty invoice that has not been paid by shipper. I was confused so I called FedEx, they confirmed that the shipment has been sent to UK without customs duty and I need to pay. I requested FedEx to send this confirmation via email. I then forwarded the email with Invoice attachments to Caratlane representative who gave me written confirmation. He responded via email apologising for the inconvenience and this will be handled by their team. I believed and continued with my life. But since then this issue has been going on, FedEx have handed the case to a Debt collection agency in the UK. The debt collection agency are doing their duty of calling me and asking for the payment of customs duty. It has been 06 months and the issue has not been resolved. Caratlane representative every time via email gives me a confirmation saying this would be resolved, but in no time I get a call or email from debt agency. I am tired of writing email last and answering Caratlane calls and hearing broken assurances. I can provide the order details and email communications between me and Caratlane for authenticity. Definitely it is not a pleasant experience for me and I am doubting the genuinity of the product.
Bad site!!
I bought a pendant from www.caratlane.com online store and they promised I'll get it before Valentines day but it didn't arrived! When I contacted them they said that they need more time to deliver my order and when I ask about the exact delivery date they said they have no idea. What is going on? I think this company is trying to scam me or something. They don't want to cancel my order because it's against their rules. At least that was what heir rep told me. I told him that I want to see where it said that they can't cancel order and what a surprise - he didn't reply!
What a scam! Please avoid buying from this fraudulent seller!

I got the ring and earrings with defects
I bought ring and earrings from the company www.caratlane.com. This company offered discounts for their productions, so the ring had 20% discount and the earrings was with 30% discount. The sum was rather large, but I thought that it was worth it to spend money for the jewellery. Both items arrived in nice boxes, but both of them were defective and small stones felt out and were lost. The company refused to comment on this problem.
They sold me fake earnings
I found so beautiful earnings on the website www.caratlane.com. The emerald earnings looked so cool that I bought them. But when they delivered the order, I opened the box and found out that earnings looked terrible and nothing alike as on the website. As well as it wasn’t emerald stones, it was glass. I was so disappointed that I wouldn’t advise this company to other people.
