I called Carefree Air & Water Management Inc. for a service that cost $250. The technician lied to me about the AC readings and didn't properly test for a leak. The owner of the business also lied to me, claiming that the manufacturer, Mitshtisbi, no longer supported the 2012 product, and that I needed to replace the entire system for several thousand dollars. I asked for a refund of my $250 from the owner, but they refused. None of what they said was true, and they know it. The manufacturer confirmed that it was a lie, and another certified contractor verified that all the gas readings were normal and there was no leak. To make matters worse, the unit is working perfectly fine now without any repairs. I demanded a full refund, but they still haven't given it to me.

I found this company called Carefree Air & Water Management Inc. They had a special offer for $129 to bring my system up to code. When I spoke to a lady at Carefree Air, she told me it would actually cost $325 because they would service three blowers inside my house and the unit outside. She mentioned that they often find mold in the units, which made me worried about the air quality in my room. She confirmed that the mold could indeed get into the air. So, I decided to cover my furniture and stuff just to be safe.

The technician came and took pictures of the inside units. Then, he said he would check the outside unit. But here's the thing, he didn't have a ladder! The unit is mounted on the side of my house, about 10-12 feet high. How was he supposed to check it without a ladder? Anyway, he then suggested that I should buy a contract to save money. According to him, without a contract, it would cost around $600 to service the units. I was pretty upset because he was only here for about 20 minutes and I had to pay $325 for just an estimate.

I called the office to complain, but the lady on the phone just kept repeating that my best option now would be to buy a contract. This all happened on 3//21.

I called Carefree Air conditioning to fix my central air system at my home. A guy came and said the problem was a bad condenser fan and capacitor, so he changed them. I paid $720.00 for the repair, $240.00 for labor, and $480.00 for the fan and capacitor. The unit worked for about an hour after Raymound M, the owner, told me on the phone to cool down the condenser with a hose because it was a hot day. That night, my bedroom was 92 degrees and I couldn't sleep, so I had to leave. The next day, July ,, I called again and another Carefree guy came. He said the problem was a bad condenser, not the fan or capacitor. I decided not to replace it and asked for a refund of the cost of the fan and capacitor because of the wrong diagnosis by Carefree's guy. I said I was okay with the $240.00 service fee, but the $420.00 for the parts was not acceptable. I wanted a refund and would return the parts that I couldn't use. Mr. M not only refused, but he hung up on me without any settlement or indication of what Carefree would do next. This way of doing business is totally unacceptable, and I want my $480.00 back for the parts. The misdiagnosis by Carefree's guy caused this situation, and now they want me to pay for unnecessary and unusable parts. I used to be a contractor for 50 years, and I've had disputes before, but this is completely outrageous and unacceptable. I looked into it and found other complaints about this company on ComplaintsBoard.com. It seems that Mr. M is known for being rude and behaving badly.
