CarId I cannot even get an exchange

I ordered chrome pillars for my audi a6 and they were too small, length and width wise, I cannot even get an exchange and now I am stuck with these and nowhere to put them :- (

CarId this company is untrustworthy

Don't believe google reviews on this site. As a company, you can apparently pay india/indonesa 50 cents per positive review. That is the only reason I can think of why this company has a 4/5 rating.

They are basically corrupt. I tried to return a shipped item. Before they processed my rma, they demanded they had to have the tracking number... Even though I included the proper paperwork on the outside and inside of package.

Then they denied my $350 return because of missing parts. I unpacked and packed all the items (3 total... Box of nuts bolts, 2 running boards).

This company is untrustworthy.

Scammers - worst company to deal with. Have a dispute against them with my credit card company. For incorrect wheels costing $ 1, 124. 00! Next is the bbb if not resolved soon.
I am posting on all complaint websites and hopefully customers will stay clear of them.

CarId charged my credit card and I never received my goods

I made an order using my credit card, and I was absolutely shocked when I received an email from you requesting to submit a number of verification papers (my passport, credit card copies, etc). This defeats the purpose of online order, and this is the first time I experienced such a thing, even though I regularly order from us. I have to say this was the worst online shopping experience and it is an embarrassment for your company.

And the most shocking thing is that you charged my credit card and I never received my goods. Now I have to go through claims with my bank in order to get my money back! My bank is processing a dispute form and I will take it up really high!

CarId don't ever use this rip off company

Placed order on 1/30. Rec'd prompt email note that order to ship no later than 2/7. Began to call and email soon thereafter to determine status. No return calls or emails. When tried to use their provided order status link it kept saying "no such order existed". They sure charged the ccard quickly enough. Unfortunately I then read the hundreds of documented complaints about this crappy company. I had my ccard company begin the refund and recover process on my behalf.

Do not ever use this rip-off company.

CarId I wish I had come here before making my purchase

Like a lot of other victims on this site, I ordered some plastic wheel covers for my car. They arrived from "onyx enterprises," and at the time I was like wtf, but whatever. I had to return them because they were the wrong size, so I followed the instructions on the rma explictly (had to pay for postage and tracking to boot) and used the box and packing materials the covers came in.

Lo and behold, I get an e-mail from carid saying they can't refund my purchase because the covers did not arrive in "resellable condition." the reason? There was a "scratch" on one of the wheel covers. The picture they supplied as "evidence" was absolutely laughable - I wish I could upload it. People who would complain about that "scratch" are the same kind of people who would complain about getting a brand new flatscreen tv for free, but are mad that it's last year's model.

Anyway, carid said there was "nothing they could do". I guaran-goddamn-tee you that those wheel covers were immediately sold to someone else, and i'll bet you they don't even notice the "scratch" and are happy with them.

Stay away at all costs! I wish I had come here before making my purchase. No other reputable seller would treat a customer this way over these particular facts.

CarId failure to ship product as promised

Carid accepted my order for replacement headlamps, charged my credit card, sent me confirmation emails on order acceptance and shipment, then one week later sent me an email saying, "sorry, not in stock, we will deliver in 4-6 weeks". I expected, based on their shipment email, to be installing these headlamps now, and not waiting until mid-february!

CarId go somewhere else to buy your car accessories

Carid is the worst. To say the least dealing with carid has not been a pleasant experience and customer service is non existent. The entire order has been wrong with damaged items, rma's sent for the wrong manufacturer, parts not fitting as they are for the wrong vehicle, their mistake, not mine.

1- the grille I ordered was damaged, parts were also missing.

2- lights come with no instruction, I had to modify them to fit my truck 4 hours spent on a simple 30 minute project.

3- now the weather tech window covers do not fit as they are for a wrong vehicle not my 2017 f-150 super-crew. Not weather tech fault as carid ordered the wrong parts

I have not been able to speak to any supervisor, many hours of my time wasted, 8 phone calls and counting trying to get these problems addressed with 10 plus e-mails, still no resolution as to the issues at hand. A measily $30 discount that does not come close to my time wasted with calls e-mails and installation of all items being frustrating and with no accomplishment in sight.

Do not buy anything from this organization as they are clueless and just a bunch of order takers. No knowledge of what they sell or anything about cars. What a concept.

I finally went to my credit card company and disputed the entire sales purchase of $800.00 plus dollars. I need to get a refund for the grille, I also need a refund for the weather tech products and an rma. This should not be hard to do, nor should it take days to accomplish.

This company really sucks! Do yourself a big favor... Go somewhere else to buy your car accessories!

Absolutely the worst product and service of any company I have ever dealt with. I sure hope no one else gets sucked into their lies and worthless products. the employees should be embarrassed to work for this company. the seat covers didn't fit, they refused to return the product. they refused to return my calls, they were extremely rude in their phone calls and emails. I am out over $500, and I want to help anyone else who may be considering purchasing from this company: don't do it! I would give them less than 1 star ratings if possible...

CarId they essentially inflate the price, then discount to msrp to appear as if you are getting a good deal

First order, they took 2-3 months to ship a body kit they kept "promising" would ship. As "retribution" they offered a $25 gift certificate toward a future purchase. When I went to buy floor mats using this gift certificate, the code given didn't work. When I connected through their online chat, the sales representative contacted billing and they said they would honor the certificate on floor mats that said "usually ships within 24 hours" a few days later, still without an order confirmation email, I contacted sales again and they claimed that the order would ship in a week and that billing decided not to honor the gift certificate after all. This is after I was quoted a price, and after I gave my credit card information...

Also, their website claims the floor mats are 20% off; however, they are selling these mats at msrp, which is fixed by the manufacturer, and they cannot change the pricing. They essentially inflate the price, then discount to msrp to appear as if you are getting a good deal...

After the floor mats I will never do business with carid again.

CarId bad service

This company charged my credit card for an order of floor mats, gave me an estimated shipping date, then e-mailed me and called me and left messages asking for faxes or e-mailed images of a government id (license or military id) and an image of the credit card i'm using. Not a chance in hades!
I called them to cancel the order and they tried to proceed with the conversation about why they do that - I didn't even entertain a conversation. I will not do business with a firm that charges my card first, then asks me for permission to do so to cover their own tails. Everyone else on line used secure sites for the web-based ordering of their products and collects your credit card security number - and i've never had any issues with anyone else on-line (e.G., amazon, ebay, many booksellers, etc.).

CarId these guys really do not care about doing the right thing

I purchased a bull bar online for my toyota fj, pay for it and then I am advised there was a mistake on the website with pricing not the part number just pricing. The rep admits the fault sends my an email confirming their mistake and honoring the purchase. Next thing I know I get a bunch of emails saying they are retracting their offer? Poorest customer service ever. Spend a little more and deal with a company that backs their business practises these guys really do not care about doing the right thing. My next step is bbb and a few other government agencies, people need to know absolute these guys.

CarId stay away from these crooks

Ordered a grill for a vw jetta. It was the cheapest piece of junk! The body shop refused to install it. There was no access for the hood release. Because of the time involved to get an appointment with the body shop, I was 2 days past the 30 return policy and carid refused to take the product back. I tried twice to deal with customer service and now i'm stuck with a pos. They told me to put it on ebay! Who would I want to stick with it? Stay away from this company.

"To begin, i ordered a rear bumper for an acura rsx the z1000, the order was placed on 8/19/12 i received the item 8/31/12 which i thought was a very long time to wait when i finally received the order i was not home someone else signed for the package. ups did not instruct the person signing it that it should be opened ... checked or marked as damaged. when i got home i opened the package ... it had a total of 3 cracks and 11 scratches on it !
so i called the company, after speaking to the first 3 people they advised to send in the pictures so i did... waited a week, i called for them to tell me because the order was not marked damaged they dont want the item back and they will only reimburst me 70 $ out of the total that i paid which was roughly 335$ . when taking it to a mechanic i got told the bumper does not even fit, after i explained that to a supervisor he said that is not their fault and tried to blame it on the shipping... take aside the fact that it has cracks and scratches by my understanding i should have held the ups guy at my house while i take my bumper off and put a new one on and inspect everything ... then they try to blame ups for the part not fitting ... i dont know what kind of acura rsx they modeled this bumper after however this is the ugliest bumper ever ! the grill on the bottom is held by zipties ... and so far they are telling me that all they can do is give me 70 $ back instead of the full reimburstment ... this company does not deserve to be working, they are scamming people left and right and no one deserves to be ripped off... and now everytime i call they seem to make this such a headache to make it past 30 days to probably say oh sorry past 30 days cant return ... website states At CARiD.com we make returns as easy as possible. CarId biggest mistake ordering from them

Ordered items on july 5th, 2011, large order, I have received only 2 items out of 6, I payed 300$ for shipping on 947$ order, and now the third item came even with cod and tax, item value is 79.95$, shipping 18$ and cod +tax 22$, so its together now 119.95$, I asked them if they have done international shipping if the item price for me goes up by 50%! I ordered hid kits too, which they were saying they will ship very fast, its 2 weeks now and they still are not even shipped out... Bug deflector they didnt have in stock so they said aprox estimated shipping date is august 5th. Im gone call tomorrow to the bank and will try to get part of my money, because this is not even funny! I left msg that I want to talk with manager, do you think somebody called me, of course not! This place is just $#*! Hole, stay away from this place!

CarId this is a horrible business that needs to be shut down

I ordered front and back bumper guard bars for my truck from them. I called because I wanted to make sure they had what I wanted. They told me yes everything I wanted was in stock and would be mailing monday. Monday nothing. So wednesday still no tracking number. I call and they told me they were gonna check for me and would call me back. I get no call back but an email. Telling me that they have one of my bars and the other is on back order. They said they would be mailing me one and the other was on 30 day backorder. So what am I supposed to do with one bar. I instantly replied in the email that I wanted a full refund. I called the next day as soon as they opened and told them I want a refund. They told me I have to wait for the manufacturer to give them the money back. Even tho I paid them, not a manufacturer. Its now been over a week and I still dont have my money. Im out close to 500$ right now. Ive called way too many times and still nothing. This place is the definition of unproffessional. This is a horrible business that needs to be shut down. Do not buy anything at all from this place.

I got taken for over 2500 bucks for an escalade cover . Car.id called it a complete escalade conversion kit. This company should be shut down i agree 100%

CarId do not order from carid.com

Never buy from carid.com! I placed an order on aug. 1st, and my credit card was charged the full price of the item that day, it is now aug. 17th and my order has been delayed two separate times. Needless to say, I am rather furious by their extreme incompetence right now. They claim the delay is because of the manufacturer, and it is beyond their control, but if the manufacturer does not have the product, then why does it appear to be in stock on the carid website? This is all beyond unprofessional, and I personally do not believe carid.com should legally be operable. I strongly discourage anyone from ever using carid, because I will surely never again do business with such unreliable, disreputable people. I wish I would have read the hundreds of complaints before i'd placed my order, because then I never would've wasted my time.

CarId delayed order 7 times now

Ordered 2 dash kits for 2 cars on may 26 2011... It is now aug 11 2011 and still nothing. I have gotten emails with estimated ship date and when that time comes, I get another email telling me its another week's wait.

After waiting over a month, I started to get a bit crabby and said that it cannot possibly take that long to cut out some dash kit pieces. I paid 547 dollars and they sure were quick to take that out of my credit card on the day I placed the order but the parts - thats another story I see! Their site said ships 3 to 5 days (manufacturer part) which I understand should have been a few weeks at most... Not months.

I emailed them and they assured me that it normally ships faster than what it says in the email... Ok I got a few emails saying that so far and guess what - no parts.

So I started to email someone else in that company and they simply said theres nothing they can do for me its out of their hands. No help there.

I have written about 3 more emails and no answer on those... Just some "automated" delay notices...

I am about to move so this may get real ugly.

I tried to find the manufacturer remin but have trouble finding info.. If someone can help, please post.

Here I wait... Until aug 12 to see if I get another email saying there is a delay or will I get a box with what I ordered inside? Hmmmm — im guessing another ship delay for the 7th time!

Terrible company, bad communication - I will never ever buy from them - come on — over 500 for dash kits already.

CarId it's the worst website to order off the market accessories

It's the worst website to order off the market accessories. Stay away from this vultures! I have very unpleasant experience with them and I am not ordering any parts from them anymore. Beware of hassle free returns coz it's not true. They will always email you back and forth for same old redundancy email and end up you'll not be able to refund your shipping and handling cost eventhough the fault is in their end.. You'll end up paying the return shipping as well for the product which does not fit in your vehicle despite the fact it's clearly before at check out that shld be compatible in your car.in later part when you received the product it doesn't fit and they want you to ripped something off just to make the product fit for their satisfaction! As far my understanding was, when you ordered a product on certain website we make sure that it's compatible and it fits and doesnt need any altercation bcoz most of us purchasing it are amateurs in installing it. Any products fits signify mismatch and you can't just say to you customer to rip a hole to make the bolt fit it... What kind of customer service is that? Don't tell me that it's factory defect. It's massive production and each every corner of the said parts are standardized and none of it was different from the other so dont make it a reason because of production defect it doesn't fit. It's horrible company to deal with... I regret I ordered with them... Please stay away as much as you can if you don't want to be ripped off by this heartless and opportunistic company.

CarId 4 delays in order... customer service is bad

Bought 2 dash kits for 2 of our cars for a total of over $540.00 website said will ship in 3-5 days and also got an email shortly after saying the same. I waited for a confimation number to be sent on the 5th day so I could track with ups and instead got another ship delay of another week.

That week went by and the day it was estimated to ship I got another delay sent to me. This time I emailed back and got a response 3 days later? Saying that they were very sorry for the delay and that it normally doesnt take that long and will arrive sooner than it should. I explained that I am about to move in a few weeks and I need to know what the status is on the order and that they should be giving me some sort of free shipping or something for what I paid for it if they arent going to get it to me in a timely matter... I also said its a bit ridiculous to have to take over 3 weeks to manufacture a part when it was shown on their site to be in stock and shipping in 3 to 5 days! I would not have gotten mad if it would have said takes 3 to 4 weeks to manufacture - dont lie and say its in stock and will ship!

Waited once more and thought everything was fine since I was a day past the time they said it would ship out - but the next day I get another email from someone else at carid — it was not formatted in a text way as the others - this one had html/graphics and contact info at the bottom (it looked more "official" for lack of a better term). I figured if this item was back ordered from the beginning then why did I not get the same email explaining that it was back ordered from the manufacturer (in big red letters). All I had gotten before was estimated ship date would be *insert this many days/weeks*.

So naturally, I emailed back explaining that it is fine if it will be late but this is ridiculous that it would be delayed for the 4th time and that I am moving and need to know what is going on so that ups doesnt ship it here if I am not living here. No response to that. I was in my email yesterday and started to get a bit mad. I googled a lot on their company and wish I did before I had ordered - a lot of unhappy people out there!

After I started to get a bit mad about the ridiculous delay times, I hit reply to the last email they sent me where they did not write back to from a week ago. I did not write any choice words but my wording was right to the point of how I felt.in about 5 to 10 mins, I got a reply saying - its out of their hands and nothing they can do. Literally a one line reply.

Now... I will give them a bit more time. I am not happy and I will never buy from them again nor recommend this site... These items we bought are for both of our cars and my fiance is getting quite antsy since his card was charged immediately for over $540.00... Trust me, they dont want him getting on the phone (my fiance will get what he wants - he does not bs around) or even going up there since I used to live in the town next to where they are located - and guess what, we are in the process of moving back up to nj too.

I just hope that we get our items soon.. Thought it was a bit odd to be charged so quickly when they dont even have the parts — normally you are charged when its shipped.

I cannot even give this sorry excuse for a busines even one star. I ordered a product that stated it was in stock and was told that I would receive a confirmation email which I didn't receive until I called them three times. They immediately charged me for the item only to find out that it was not in stock and it would be several weeks before it would be shipped. I called a week after this shipping date and was told that it would now not be shipped for a couple of more weeks. I asked for the order to be cancelled and a refund and was told that it would take 3-5 business days for me to receive a refund. That's bs and we all know if something can be charged in the same day that a refund can also be given in one day. Do not purchase from this company!

The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

CarId refused to give full refund

-carid.com cast of characters -

1) ryan gronlie - supposedly the top guy, just as much as an uncooperative crook as anyone else I dealt with;
2) john frattini ext 833 - sounded genuine in wanting to resolve my stress and problems after spending many hours and days on the phone; ultimately, he did nothing;
3) nick, another idiot manager whom promised me a full refund, even e-mailed me as much, but the company took $170 out of the total, basically strong arm robbery, and refused to give it back; I called nick at ext. 829 over and over and over after I found out that i'd been short-changed, and he never answered nor returned my call
4) sandra ext 824 - offered no help, but talked a good game.
5) ivan - support rep whom tried to help, passed the buck and transferred me all around; got nothing done;
6) shane - support rep, one the rudest, passive-aggressive reps there. On 6/8, extremely tired after spending and wasting many days and hours on the phone with these people, reached him to determine who ryan gronlie reports to after ryan basically told me to my face that he was not going to give me my rightfully owed full refund. I told shane I didn't want to go into detail about the order because i'd spoken ad-nauseum to dozens of other reps to no avail, he bullied me into giving him my info to begin the account retrieval process. What happened afterwards was typical; he placed me on hold for up to twenty minutes, coming back on the line after 5 minute intervals, where I repeatedly asked for ryan's supervisor's information. He assured me he'd help after he did 'research'. I knew he was lying, but I decided to give this guy one last try. Afterwards, he came back on the line and told me what I already knew about the account, and I told him this initially. I asked again, for the fifth time for ryan's supervisor's info. He said, 'hang on', then proceeded to transfer me to ryan, and not his supervisor. I couldn't believe this idiot.

My experience:
Pain, anger, frustration, arguing, stress, disrespect, having to repeat yourself over to incompetent people, when you ask for management, their smooth-talking crooks who want to keep your money, high blood pressure, wasted hours, wasted days, extreme indifference and ambivalence to your very real and serious problem and money spent... This is what I experienced in dealing with carid.com and their incompetent team of sales, service, and support people. A complete and utterly frustrating nightmare.

Imagine waking up every morning, for two weeks straight, this after having to wait one and one half month for your product that never arrived, only to be faced with staying on the phone all day and having to explain over and over, battle with, and become frustrated by employees to the point that you develop headaches because no one seems to be able to understand your dilemma nor provide you with a quick resolution.

This is what I endured when carid.com refused to give me full refund on a product that I canceled and was entitled to received a full refund on! Returning an item and receiving a refund is a simple process anywhere else, but these east-coast crooks want to keep your money, delay you, not return calls, and ultimately frustrate you to the point that you don't feel like calling back, all in order to keep money that is rightfully yours! They lie to your face, but also tell you to your face that you won't be getting your money back. The experience will make you want to scream. It was one of the worst experiences in an online transaction i've ever endured.

I was in an accident on 4/15 wherein my front bumper was destroyed. I placed an order with carid.com on 4/23 (transaction posted on 4/25) for a new body kit (consisting of a front bumper & chin
Spoiler, and a rear bumper). I paid $435 for the rear and $1204 for the front. The order was split into two pieces, one for the rear bumper and one for the front.

The deal that was offered to me by salesperson jay schwartz was that he’d waive the shipping charge for the rear bumper, and charge me for it on the order for the front bumper. Typically, shipping is $170
Per part, and since I was purchasing a body kit that contained both pieces, I was only to be charged a single shipping fee of $170 instead of $340. I agreed and paid accordingly. I received the rear bumper about 1 ½ weeks thereafter and will be keeping this needed part.

I was promised that the front bumper would be shipped within two weeks of the order placement as the product was on back-order and had to be made from scratch, which is why the order was split in two. Well, two weeks turned into three, then into four, and now over one and half month later I still do not have my product. As it turns out, the manufacturer is no longer making the front bumper & spoiler and carid.com has been giving me the run-around all along. I canceled the order on 6/1 with the promise that it takes carid.com 3-5 business days to contact the manufacturer (ivsauto.com) and confirm the cancellation.

Ultimately, the 3-5 business day time-frame has now elapsed and carid.com is continuing to delay me in returning my refund. On 6/7, they gave additional insult to injury by suggesting that they’re only going to refund me $1034 ($1204 minus $170), which is unacceptable. I paid $1204, and they need to give
Me $1204 in return, period.

I complained about this discrepancy with sales manager ryan gronlie, and he then said that he could only give me $85 of the $170 that is owed to me because he feels that carid.com should’ve collected half of the shipping fee ($170) from me on the rear bumper shipment. That is unacceptable as well. He cannot decide to change the terms of a deal after a deal and purchases have been made because he feels that his company was short-changed on the cost of shipping me the rear bumper. The deal give me by mr. Schwartz waived the shipping fee on the rear-bumper. This is another example of the shady business tactics and personalities that i’ve had to deal with.

Ryan is basically cyber strong-arming me out of my money. He is flat out saying to my face that I will not be given a full refund, meaning they're stealing money from me. I paid a certain amount and i'm entitled to the full refund of that amount.

Lastly, the folks at carid.com refuse to let you speak or communicate in any way with anyone above the management team at the call center where orders are placed. They apparently have a corporate headquarters where upper-management is located, but they refuse to give you the number to that location nor will they let you speak, e-mail, or reach out to anyone there! It's unreal. They're a very secretive company with something to hide. What they're hiding from their senior management is that they're stealing from customers whom they know cannot take a quick 15 trip to their offices to speak personally with said management. Once you pay and they take your money, carid.com knows they've got you by the balls and will then thereafter treat you with extreme disrespect and indifference.

Avoid them at all costs!

Garbage parts, no backing of product...Stay away from carid. High prices for cheap parts...e-bay is a much better choice. Run around from day 1. I wish I would of looked at reviews of carid first. Live & learn!

Carid is the most unprofessional company i ever done business with. They took my order and then screwed it up and then would not give me my refund, its been 73 days and i just recieved part of my refund. There people that work there are COMPLETE IDIOTS and could not tell the truth if there lives depended on it. Stay clear of these bunch of crooks, everyone that i talked to there LIED and then would never return a phone call or email til i told them i would seek legal action. Just dont do business with them very DISHONEST.

I bought an escalade conversion kit for a 1996 chev carid said all you needed was headlights and profetional install recomended. They charged me 1250 to start added 300 bucks for shipping after duty brokerage etc ... cost me almost 2500 bucks for a crappy grill cover a hood with no latch and fender covers . Carid said kit includes hood fenders grill&bumper . 100% ripped me off they are a scam

CarId customer service/confirmation of purchse an shipping #

On may 27 th, 2011, I contracted with carid. comm, a order by telephone, for a black car bra for my chrysler sebring convertible lxi, [part # crk-cr1067-b75], through their agent leslie ann pritchard, at extention 861, an paid for with visa credit card. I was informed that it was to be shipped at no charge for $74.95 from their california supplier, an that a e-mail confirmation number of the sale, would be sent to my e-mail address of purchase, an to track shipping ect... never happened!.. to this date 6/6/2011 this has not happened, [even after a returned call 1 hour later on may 27th, 2011... and was again informed it was forthcoming, by leslie... never happened!]... I have now called again 1 hour ago at 1:44 pm today6/6/2011 to the shipping dept. this time, and spoke with mary in shipping, as leslie seems to be unavailable at her post to assist, and was informed by mary that my number was 2175054 verbally, an I could track by ups for arrival. this number is not verifiable though the ups tracking system... I guess my question is: since mary can pull up all the imformation on the purchase that I made, but has no further info that is relevant, and after [4] different inquiries, do I now need to contact the attorney general of the state of montana, consumer investigation division, to investigate this company's practices in re-guard's to mail order over the web? thank you for your time.
