This company was supposed to buy my car and they said they sent a check to my old lender, but they never did. Now I have a loan that's 60 days overdue on my credit, and I'm stuck with two vehicles, one of which I don't even have.

On 01/16/2022, I purchased a car from Chapman's Las Vegas Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram
On 01/16/2022, I purchased a car from Chapman's Las Vegas Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. The car was listed on their website for $*** with a *** discount, which brought the total down to $32,800. During the process, the dealership mainly discussed the monthly price and what I would be paying. However, when it came time to finalize the contract, they sneakily included the full price of the vehicle and emphasized the monthly rate. Unfortunately, I didn't notice this discrepancy until later, and it feels like they took advantage of me. I decided to visit the dealership on my first day off the following week, hoping to resolve the issue, but they informed me that they couldn't do anything about it. It's truly disappointing to encounter such dishonesty from individuals like ***, ***, and Nacho at the dealership.

I went to Chapman's Las Vegas Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram on 04/17 and got the financing cost for a 2021 Jeep Trail Hawk, which was $37,565
I went to Chapman's Las Vegas Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram on 04/17 and got the financing cost for a 2021 Jeep Trail Hawk, which was $37,565. On 04/19, they charged me a $500 hold deposit and gave me information about the down payment, which was $7,207.30. I picked up the vehicle on 04/24 after signing all the paperwork.
However, on 04/30, I urgently emailed the sales department because they charged me a different price than what we agreed upon. I also sent an urgent email on 05/01 to cancel and get a refund for all the optional warranties, which amounted to $4,155. They agreed to my request.
On 05/16, I emailed the finance department to inquire about the outstanding cancellation refunds, which totaled $1,885. Then, on 06/14, I sent a Demand for Reimbursement letter. I mentioned the warranties and Asset Protection, which was a mandatory option costing $2,995. I explained that no one could explain what this option was, and I had no paperwork for it. I made several calls, but no one returned my calls.
Finally, on 06/21, the General Manager said he would work with us, and the warranty checks for $1,885 were on their way. He also mentioned that he would assist us with the Asset Protection, even though we had no paperwork for it. Despite this, I still haven't received any return calls after making numerous attempts to contact them.
I bought a car from this dealership for my business, and we agreed that I would be the personal guarantor
I bought a car from this dealership for my business, and we agreed that I would be the personal guarantor. We signed the contract using the business name, and I drove off with the car. However, a few weeks later, I noticed that the car was listed on my personal credit report. I thought it was a mistake, so I went back to the dealership to fix it. But they just kicked me out, saying it's my problem now and they can't help me anymore. I asked the bank for a copy of the sales contract, and that's when I found out that the dealership had forged my signature on the "call ***" line. They made me a cosigner for the truck instead of a personal guarantor, which was not what we originally agreed upon. I've tried contacting the dealership multiple times, but they're ignoring me now, even though they committed credit application fraud.
I bought a 2020 Ram 3500 Truck from this place and before I bought it, I noticed 2 things
I bought a 2020 Ram 3500 Truck from this place and before I bought it, I noticed 2 things. First, there were no Step Rails to help me get inside the truck. It was so high that I had to climb into it. Second, the rear wheels didn't have Hub Caps. The salesman told me that if they put step rails on, it would be better to have a third party do it. As for the rear wheels, I believed him. I took my truck and got third party "Power steps" installed, which I'm really happy with. But when I brought my truck in for service, the service technician recommended installing rear wheel Hub Caps! When I asked the salesman about it, he got really mad and started using bad language. So, I called the Sales manager and he was rude too. It's just so disappointing that these people are so unprofessional and don't care about keeping the buyer happy. All I want is what I deserve as a consumer.
I bought a $60,000 Rubicon from Chapman's Las Vegas Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram
I bought a $60,000 Rubicon from Chapman's Las Vegas Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. They said it was in brand new condition, but I knew it had 4000 miles on it. They claimed the previous buyer couldn't get financing, so they drove it to Colorado and back. I bought the vehicle on Saturday night, but when I noticed defects on Monday, they refused to undo the deal. It hadn't even been 48 hours since the purchase, but they didn't want to help. I later discovered that the vehicle had been taken off-road, resulting in scratches and repairs covered by the warranty. They never mentioned this, and insisted it was brand new with only delivery miles. They also lied about providing an extra year of oil changes included in the Rubicon package. The service team was even embarrassed by how the sales team treated me.
I went to buy a car from Chapman today
I went to buy a car from Chapman today. I saw the one I wanted online listed at $12,926, but when I got there, they insisted the price was $17,315. I showed them the website, but they refused to give me that price. The salesman said, "That's just there to get people to come in here." While we were at the dealership, someone went in and changed the prices on the website. (See screen shots below.) After HOURS of negotiating, we finally reached an agreement, and I went to get the check from the credit union. The purchase agreement they gave me had a typo, so I needed a new one from them. We called and called and called, but they kept avoiding us. So we drove all the way back there to get it, and they told us they "sold the car" in the 30 minutes we were gone. We already had a purchase agreement (with a typo), and they sold the car out from under us. I'm not sure if that was all a lie because they didn't like that we were too smart to fall for their scams, or if they really sold it, but either way, they had already agreed to sell me the car, and then it was gone.
I bought a certified preowned 2017 Chrysler Pacifica in December XX XXXX, and a month later, the check engine light turned on
I bought a certified preowned 2017 Chrysler Pacifica in December XX XXXX, and a month later, the check engine light turned on. I told them that the van was rubbing when I turned left and making a noise when I accelerated. I took the van in on 1/31/22, and after they tried to fix it by replacing engine coils and gaskets, they said it was still misfiring and needed a new engine. They assured me that once the engine was replaced, it would be like having a new car. But let me tell you, it's been a complete nightmare ever since. My car was at Chapman for 37 days during the first visit, from 1/31/22 to 3/9/22. After the engine was replaced, the van had to go back for repairs 5 more times. I took it in from 3/16/22 to 3/25/22 because the outside of the hood was extremely hot to touch and there was a burning smell coming from underneath. It was also jerking when I accelerated and felt like it was shifting gears. They inspected it, updated the TCM transmission quick learn, and said they found no problem. I brought it back in from 4/13/22 to 4/19/22 because a red warning light came on, indicating that the engine was overheating, and there was a clicking noise under the hood. They told me the engine was low on coolant because the heater hose and left front axle needed to be replaced. They said the vehicle was ready for pickup on 4/18/22, but while we were waiting, the van broke down at the gas station after the service guy filled it up with gas. They ended up giving us a loaner car until the next day because the driver side driveshaft and axle were broken. On 7/22/22, I took the van back because it was sluggish and revving high with very little acceleration. It wouldn't go over 8-10 mph, even when revving loudly. Then, on 8/03/22, the check engine light came on again, just two weeks after they claimed to have "repaired" the issue on 7/22/22. My van is currently at the repair shop since 08/04. This van has proven to be dangerous and unreliable.
Sales & financial complaint
Sales & financial complaint. I went to Chapman Dodge on November 18. Salesman Tolentino helped us since we got there, and we ended up choosing a car that I saw online for $23,656. He said they had that car available. I gave $2,000 down that night and drove the car home. The next day, I got a text from the salesman saying we got approved through bank *** and that we got a good deal, but I needed $2,000 or $3,000 more. I said I could only do $2,000 more. We closed the deal. On Monday, I got a call saying we needed to sign more paperwork, so we went back. They signed the papers, and when we got home and actually read them, they were charging me a total of $42,000 for the car. The paper stated that the total value of the car was $29,000 plus $8,000 that the bank was letting me borrow, which came up to $38,000 plus $4,000 down, making it $42,000. I decided to go back that night to get an explanation. They said the car was not $23,000 like it was online (I have screenshots where it said it was $23,000), but rather $25,000 plus paperwork fees, which came up to $29,000 minus $4,000 down, bringing it down to $25,000. Then it went up again after they added gap insurance for $999 and $3,500 for an extended warranty that we didn't ask for. When I stated that I wanted to return the car, the financial manager, Hung, called Tolentino. After talking to Tolentino, we decided they would remove those extra insurances. When he informed financial manager Hung, *** told us to get out of his office because he had 5 more clients to take care of. He was slamming papers on his desk, mad. Then he told me that he would call us the next day, 11/25, but we have not received the call yet, and it's already 5 pm. We decided to get our personal loan through a credit union. They asked for a number that stated that those numbers did not match at all and that the dealer was just moving numbers around. I have two different contracts with different numbers that prove they did everything wrong.
I bought a warranty for tires from Chapman, but they won't cover or replace the bad tires on the car they sold me
I bought a warranty for tires from Chapman, but they won't cover or replace the bad tires on the car they sold me. On May 21, I bought a used 2013 Mini Cooper Countryman for $9430.00 (total sale price was $14,658.72) from salesman Thurston. Along with the car, I also bought a warranty for "*** Tire & Wheels" for $1100.00, which was supposed to cover the tires. After driving the car for a few days, I noticed that it would "fish tail" when I hit a pothole or drove on a bumpy road. I took the car to Chapman multiple times for service, but they refused to help me. Sandra, an employee at Chapman, told me that they couldn't fix the car because the tires were not covered under normal wear and tear, even though I had the extended warranty. On Friday, September 11, I went back to Chapman and spoke to Sandra again about the warranty I bought. She didn't help me or listen to my tire problem. So, I left Chapman and went to *** for further assistance. The employees there told me that Chapman sold me a car with two bad tires that were bought in *** two years ago. The rubber on the tires is separating, causing the car to "fish tail". This is not normal wear and tear for tires, but a result of the tires being in bad condition when I bought the car. Discount tires sent photos of the separation to Sandra so she could see the bad tires. Sandra filed a claim with Chapman's insurance company on Friday, September 11, but on Tuesday, September 15, the claim was denied and the tires would not be replaced at ***. Now, I have a car with bad tires that could cause a serious accident if driven on the freeway. So, my car is sitting at home while I use my daughter's car to go to work.
The dealership sold me a car that turned out to be a lemon
The dealership sold me a car that turned out to be a lemon. They didn't mention that it was bought from an auction and refused to have it towed, insisting that I drive it instead. On November 2, I finally found the car I had always wanted, a 2020 Jeep Wrangler sport known for its durability. But my excitement quickly turned to disappointment when, less than three weeks later, the car started malfunctioning. First, the check engine light came on, followed by a stabilizing light. I immediately texted the salesman who sold me the car, and he suggested it might be a battery issue. But then, the oil pressure light came on, and I sent him a picture. He told me to bring the car in the next morning.
I offered to have the car towed, but they insisted it was just a battery problem. To my surprise, I didn't hear anything from the dealership for almost two days. So, I called the salesman again to find out what was going on. He had the service representative call me, and she was rude and unsympathetic. She immediately told me that a rock had hit my oil filter, causing all the oil to leak out and destroy the engine. I asked how this was possible since I hadn't been in any accidents or taken the car off-roading. She then informed me that my warranty or the extended coverage I had purchased only covered mechanical issues, not everything. So, I would have to pay an additional $15,000 to fix the brand new $40,000 car.
I asked if there was something wrong with the car before I bought it, and she told me it was previously owned by Hertz rental and sold at an auction. I was never informed of this; I was told the car was practically new and the previous owner had simply changed their mind. Little did I know, they don't have to disclose if they buy a car from an auction and resell it, and they have no information about any repairs done before I owned it. I truly believe something was wrong with this car before I bought it. The company lied to me to get me to buy the car and the extended warranty because they knew it had underlying issues. It's incredibly disappointing to be let down within a month, especially when I was already dealing with the loss of my mother during a pandemic.
To make matters worse, they wanted their loaner car back on Thanksgiving, even though I had sold my own car to them and had no other vehicle. The rental place would be closed, so I had no choice but to rely on my insurance to cover the $7,000 engine and oil filter fees because the dealership refused to take any responsibility for their part.
Disonest Sales, Cheap Dealing Dealer
Disonest Sales, Cheap Dealing Dealer. I bought my 2021 Ram 2500 from sales person Bobby *** and Sales Manager (whom i never dealt with) Bob ***. "JT" the guy who was supposed to be the sales manager or finance approver guy. The experience itself was not the problem, it was actually easy and straightforward. The problem is all because of a false sense of honesty when negotiating a deal. When the deal got to the part of a matter of $68dollar difference on a pay off...(OMG) and it gets to the "lets split it" part, i agreed to split it to finalize the deal as long as they provided "ALL WEATHER MATS". "JT", the sales manager was the person i was negotiating with on the first desk on the left as soon as you enter the main building. He agreed, shook my hand and walked off to secure the deal. When i was invited into the signing room with Kassandra "Kassi" i noticed that they did NOT include the ALL WEATHER MATS. I asked Kassi about it and she had called someone (i am assuming on JT, sales manager) and asked about the floor mats. She hung up and said "They are grabbing it from the Dodge truck side and putting them in there for ya" so i signed away on the deal with no written verbiage. The truck could not be washed so my best friend and i left the dealership at 10:38pm on 2/3 with a chrysler 300 from used sales with a giant sticker on the windshield that said $24377 Manager's Special! only because they could not detail the truck that night. I texted "JT" sales manager the next day 2/4 @9:06am asking if my truck was ready and clearly asking for my all weather mats (since they didn't want to put it in writing) and response from "JT" was "Hey brother my detail people got in at 9 I just took it back there getting detailed now" I am under the impression all went well! I show up at 10:03am and my new truck was sitting waiting for me. Opening the truck there were no matts...When walking in and asking for my keys "JT" came out, greeted me, thanked me and handed over my keys. When i asked him about the mats, he replied "I didn't have any in stock but i will mail them out when i get them in" I said ok, and drove off in my new truck. I texted JT @ 4:13 the next day 2/5 and asked for a update on the mats. Thats when all red flags started, He said he cant order them and had to "pull them off" another truck?!, then i asked if I can buy them from another dealer and send him the bill. his response was he can't put it in the deal because it makes it a "big looser" (not my spelling, just quoting" also i had left my brand new headrest cushions in my *** that i traded in and that was a entirely other problem. Days went by so did weeks and on then the *** came, after asking a number of times and getting the "ill get back to you ***", JT replied to my request on 2/20 @ 2:54pm with "Bobby was telling me that we promised it I was gonna get one out of another truck as a favor I'm waiting to locate one" Thats when the shady car dealership started to sound like a crooked dealership. I never made a deal with Bobby, never! It was all agreed with JT and then he pulls this cheapskate *** on me. Horrible business! I tried to refresh his memory so he does not loose a faithful Dodge customer buying his 4th Brand new Dodge vehicle and investing close to $300,000 in the brand! But nonetheless it has not worked. I really don't care about the floor mats I don't like is crooked business with dealerships and people like the ones I've worked with. I'm so exhausted from trying to receive my matts and being led on by dishonest people but I am writing this only for documentation purposes. If you're buying from this dealership please ensure they put it in writing do not believe anything they say. Nothing that we agreed on was in writing it almost felt like they did whatever they wanted in the conversation was more for entertainment. I will never do business with Dodge again because of this dealership experience.
Never had temporary tags for the vehicle
Never had temporary tags for the vehicle. We never actually saw original sticker price in the paperwork we received. Titling issues to date. *** doesn't recommend Chapman Las Vegas Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. July 23 Never been lied to so much in my life. To begin with I was not sure about the timing of buying the new truck I was in need of. I actually said no to my sales person and got the third degree from him. I had to actually raise my voice to talk over his. If you knew me that is not what I am about. The next evening, this same sales rep. then called my wife and was able to get her to put 2000 dollars down until I had time to reconsider. I did not reconsider and called him the next morning to again tell him no, only to find out that the 2000 bucks was non refundable. A detail he left out when he spoke with my wife. It took another day for me to get to speak with a manager who also didn't want to refund the down payment even though my wife was lied to in order to get her to put it down. These things were taking place over the phone because my wife and I live in *** and it is a four hour trip to the dealership. Because she is a Nurse we had to wait a couple days for her day to be able to ride with me. On the way we figured that we might as well get the truck, because we were going to be loosing the 2000 if we didn't. Upon arriving we were met with a new sales rep. and not the one we had been speaking with. Now, this is where it really gets bad. We were told our loan was approved, "LIE". It was not approved for almost a month. We were told that they would send our information to the DMV the next day," LIE". This also took over a month. In fact I am still waiting to be able to drive my truck. I forgot to take the tags off my trade and they forgot to give me dealer tags, I was told these would be mailed right away, "LIE", never got them. I would have fought for my old truck back after the second week of nothing happening on their part. However, even without them paying off the loan on it they sold it that quick. That is illegal by the way. It wasn't a lie to me directly but it was a lie to the people they sold it to. Nothing was handled the way it should have been. In fact, the new truck had a bunch of leaves in the bed because it had not been cleaned up for us like we were told it would be. Our sales rep. at the end of the purchase took no time to talk with us he just handed us the keys and left us to figure everything out. And he told us that he would nock off a few more dollars if we would give him five stars for his review. Sorry Josh, I would have loved to been able to do that for you. But this was the worst experience I have ever encountered with the purchase of anything. I wish I could love the new truck like I did my old one but I can't even drive it because of the negligence on the part of your dealership. It is looking like it is going to be another month, the DMV is still waiting for the paperwork. And with all that is going on right now when they finally do get it, it will still take time for them to get their part done. P.S. Do not let them call you back on their personal phone! They can then speak to you in a different tone and it is not recorded. This was what Cody done when speaking to us. Unable to drive the truck due to no tags.
