I am so disappointed a store situated in a profile area like that, i went to Checkers Balfour on the 20th Oct 2016 and bought goods of 502.00 with a wors cost me 51 rands that was on promotion and tasting at the back table of the butchery but i only decided to cook it on the night of the 25th for dinner only to find that it had s bad smell we couldnt eat it it all went on a waste,
my concern is why the selling customers shortdated meat?

i went thru the drive through and even before i finished my last statement, she gave me a total needless to say she got my order wrong...and when they came out to gv me my order of course it was wrong...and then he supposably went it to get corrected, i drove off and it was still wrong...you know the gir's name was sharena m...if you don't like to deal with people you should not be in customer service...so upset...
backery
I orderd vet koekies on Friday the 5 th of Feb. For today the 8 th of Feb 2016. My order was supposed to be ready at 10.30 today. When I arrived there at 10.39 this monrning they forgot to make my order. I was told to come back at 11.15. Which I did. Only to stand there and wait for my order to be finished. In waited until after 12.00 for the 200 vet n koekies. The backery controller was very appoligetic. He tried to help best he could. The lady who took my order down in the first place, on Friday, made me feel like I am at fault and she is doing me a favour. She didn't say anything but her rude manner was enough. Checkers ruslouw is the closest to our nursery school. I am to scared to order there again because who is to say this won't happen again. And when I got to the till, the lady behind the till was so rude. What happened to smiling? Being friendly? Isn't it us the custumers that pays for their salaries? What happened to going the extra mile? What happens to just doing your job that is what you get paid to do. I truely hope that this matter wil be addressed. And sorted out. Your staff should be trained to be friendly at all times. To leave their troubles at home and come to work with smiles. And a good attitude. Thank you. I hope this will be delt with in the proper manner
annoying commercial
When that annoying commercial comes on - I can't get to the television control fast enough, to either change the channel or just flipping MUTE it. I am not sure what audience you are aiming for. But speaking as an educated caucasian I wouldn't eat there based on that commercial! . Not everyone is motivated by a bag talking like a black man. Do a survey, I know I am not the only one. Don't know if it's only in Columbus, Ohio but it is the worst commercial ever and not good representation for a company that I would support. Much less eat there. Save yourself some money and do ad prints. Bet you would get more bank for your buck. Because you are spending a fortune for NOTHING!
poor customer service
I just want to make a complaint about my last visit to Rally's. My family and I eat at Rally's every week when we come in town, and this particular time we ordered our food and waited for our order. Once we got our order, my brother politely asked "which bag is this" she immediately snapped at him saying what you mean which bag is that and it was downhill...

The Checkers outlet on H27 has very poor customer service, not rude, but very uninterested staff.
On my last 2 visits it has taken nearly 15 minutes to complete my order and on both occasions the staff were more interested in texting on their mobile phones rather than serving customers
Also, when no receipt was given on both times I asked why this was and was told their was no paper receipts which I find hard to believe.
I had no means to check if I was being charged correctly
Maybe the non issue of receipts was a way of pocketing extra cash
This is by far the worst Checkers I have ever visited and will be the last until their attitude changes.
It appears that for Checkers that " the customer is always right" is not part of their Mantra and instead it should be " the customer is a pain in the a--- who interferes with my social networking abilities"

Here's my Rally's experience On July 8, 2015 I visit a Rally's Restaurant at 5210 Dixie Hwy. Louisville, Kentucky I parked and walk-up to the window to order noticed it had 5 employees working around inside so to my thinking my order would be ready in no time, but to find out that i was standing at the window for 10 minutes to place a order seems all employees was young teenagers who was goofing around inside the store on their cell phones one who working drive thru spoke out telling her co-workers " Is anyone gonna wait on the guy at the window" by only having one car in her drive thru so then i walked over to the other window no one showed up at that window, so i walked back to the window where the co-worker was working drive thru she then again yelled " Is anyone gonna wait on the guy at the window" that day was 91 degrees out side to hot to be standing the window to be just standing their getting no service so i walked away gotten in my car and left, i drove to another Rally's and explaining my experience to a manager ( Bridget ) of 5210 Dixie hwy location she taking my order and said for me to call the [protected] to file a report the next day i did just that 7/9/15 at 6:00 pm and they given me a Reference number #4932406 saying someone will be calling me within 24 hours i having heard from anyone from Corporate Office yet! and today's date is 7/27/15. I have read other people complaints and it's sad Rally's have stores that are being ran as they are (Bad Service). To corporate my contact number is: [protected].

I went to the drive thru on the 4th of July weekend I oordere two combos so the casheir gives me my drinks and food. She just closes the window so I had to ask for straws she gets and attitude so she closes the window do I ask for a fork for my chilli cheese fries the cashier and the manager gets an attitude they close the window again before I get ask for condiments the manager gets rude and tells I have ask for stuff before I order I was so upset I just wanted to enjoy holiday weekend so I just left I will never order 3there again. On other events I order food there they always tell you pull up and wait which takes 10 to 15 minutes and they forgot to even bring my order out. Sad.Something needs to change.
Are you even old enough to drive? If you were why did you not ask for a fork when you were asking for the straws? Why did you not ask for the condiments as well at this time? Why did you make them make three trips to get everything you wanted? Perhaps acting your age is too much to ask. Yeah basically this is a drive thru, they want to serve customers fast, so you should have asked for the stuff while ordering, if not at least asked for forks, straws and condiments at the same time instead of wasting time of the people behind you. Telling you the truth and something that you did not hear is not the same as being rude. Your mistaking this for rudeness as well as your attitude makes me wonder if you are old enough to drive? Yeah something needs to change all right, and that something is your immature childish behavior.
food quality and service
As a frequent shopper at Checkers, I have recently realised the decrease in quality in the fruit and veg section from the Checkers. Multiple times I have opened a bag of soft and mouldy potatoes peeled off a black banana and bitten in to a rotten apple. The tomatoes are always bruised and the onions are always soft with black speckles around the outer layer, the list goes on. As a consumer with rights, I am making my mark by posting this complaint.

On 2015-01-02 I did my shopping at your store. As I was walking past the Fruit & Veg department towards to tills, I was frighten as I saw a mouse passing almost on my feet past me, under the fridge.
I feel that you urgently need to have your store fumigated, due to health hazard the one mouse I saw and how many others are there that we don't know off causing havoc.
I do not want this bad experience affect me from shopping at your store, thinking/wondering about mice infested store and harming my food I eat.

bad service and rip off
As at today's date 8th October 2014, my Aunt who is in her 70's asked me to please go to our local Checkers and book her a return flight to Durban. I went into Checkers, Northrand Road, Boksburg early morning. Stood and waited and waited while the lady at the counter and her gentleman friend finished their conversation, all the while pretending to be helping him. I then proceeded to tell her I needed to make this booking and was told I needed a copy of her ID, I asked if they had a fax machine to which I was told NO, I then asked if they had an Email address to which my Aunt could send a copy, she told me she didn't know. After this extremely frustrating period of time I requested to see the Manager who gave me the email address. The ID was sent through immediately, but because I complained about the poor service, they made me wait for over an hour (kept saying the mail had not come through), eventually when they realised I was not going to go away the id was brought to the counter. Due to all this frustration and bad service I unfortunately booked the wrong date for my Aunt to fly to Durban (I booked the 24th October instead of the 31st October. When I took the receipt out of my bad this evening I realised this and phoned Mango immediately (on the same day the ticket was booked I might add), only to be told that it can be changed and a further R370.00 will be charged. I AM ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIED THAT THIS IS WHAT IS BEING CHARGED FOR A DATE CHANGE, AND THE FACT THAT THIS ERROR WAS PICKED UP ON THE SAME DAY THE TICKET WAS BOOKED. THIS IS DAY LIGHT ROBBERY, AND THAT THIS AMOUNT OF MONEY CAN BE TAKEN FROM THE ELDERLY. I am more than willing to give her ID No to the respondent of this COMPLAINT, to prove that she is in her 70's, as well as it can be picked up on her booking. Unfortunately I am leaving for Mozambique tomorrow 9/10/2014 and only returning on the 16/10/2014. I would really appreciate it if I could have some kind of response to this mail, to prove to myself and my Aunt that we still do have some sort of service and compassion in this Country. I will also add that if this was the Service I got from Checkers to book and Air Ticket, I will never do it again.

I love Ralleys. They have great food and their fries and beyond the best. But one Madera Ca has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in any fast food restaurant. McDonald's service is better than this place. I have gave them a chance my times. I've talked to the managers but nothing has been done. Every time I go they either rude. Don't listen...

When my two friends and I were waiting for our food a deaf guy who had just got his food was trying to ask for a glass of ice water and the employee started yelling at him and told him to leave, , with no water. Then we asked for a paper towel to clean the table outside and a girl gave us 1 little hand wipe, so my friend asked for a rag so she finally can to wipe off the table but left all the rest of the tables dirty, they all were dirty. They have 2 managers that always work together and its the same 2 employees that work during the morning or late hours when complaints are being made about sex inside the walk-in freezer/cooler. Don't get sick from someones dna in your food by accident.

I went to rallys burgers here In fort wayne in.. at 320 jefferson blvd.. on this visit I ordered 2 chili cheese fries small but got one, 1 big bufford raw..2 double ralley burgers.1 no mayo.1 ralley burger add bacon.1 4pc chicken strips and 2 lg shakes..1 chocolate.1. strawberry. the sandwiches were sloppy/sloppy performance in food.. I work for my money and I dont exspect this type of rudeness. I also had to come back twice.. Im very pissed with this performance and sloppy work done.. poor service - wait time
Went to the Rally's on Earhart Blvd., in New Orleans with six out of towners who were in the city for Mardi Gras. Stopped off for a quick burger through take out after a parade. In line for 20 minutes, when I pulled up to the speaker to order, someone shouted something, and when I said "What?" they yelled back "HOLD ON - JUST A MINUTE." Eight minutes later, they came back on and took our order. When we finally got it, I checked the bag and found we were missing straws and napkins. I asked for some, and the young, black girl said "Oh F---, I hate this job. " This was around 11:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 7th. When I looked thru the bag, I noticed we were missing one drink, one french fries, and two fish sandwiches. which I brought to the attention of the young girl. She shouted "YOU DIDN'T F------ ORDER THOSE ITEMS." I asked for a copy of my receipt and she refused to give it to us! It was so embarassing to listen to her language and take her abuse, even more so, with out of towners in the car.
Solution: The Manager needs to "manage" his people, and this employee needs to be fired. You are setting your business up perfectly to close. I cannot imagine why such a large company would allow this behavior to happen.
old hard crusty food
The food had to have been in the fryer multiple times... It was hard as a moist peanut shell... Chewy like slimey old pumpkins... The food was disgusting and I am now sitting here with a horrible stomach ache... They have done this multiple times before..and refuse to create a fresh new meal...as well as the oil they cook it in... The oil was black and that is no exaggeration I believe they reuse it more than one night

I arrived at checkers at 10:48 pm on Sunday, July 29th of 2012. When I pulled up to place my order I was greeted with an offering for a daily special. When declined the offer I got nothing but silence. After about 30 seconds I said hello which was answered with, "I been waiting on you to place your order!" (with an attitude). On the 14 July, my wife went shopping at Checkers, St Johns in Pinetown. She was in the process of putting her purchases in her car, when she was approached by a black man in civilian clothing, who was carrying a pair of scissors and a role of tape. He was trying to get her attention and was telling her that he was security and wanted to see her till slip. All he could use to prove that he was securityb was a badge on his shirt which was under his jacket. She told him to leave her alone and go away. She then proceeded to get in to her car. At that stage another black man joined the first man and he was also dressed in civilian clothes. He then opened my wife's car door and they were both telling her that they wanted the till slip. They were joined by another security guard from Fidelity Guards. My wife attemped to close the door of the car and they reopened the door. She was terrified because she had no idea if this was a hijacking attempt. She briefly showed them the slip after being harrased and managed to close her car door and drive away. She was extremely traumitised by this event and well as highly embarrased at being accosted in the parking lot and branded as a shoplifter. I went to the store to confront the guards and the Manager, but to no avail. All the guard said was that he thought my wife may have reentered the store and stolen something. I urged the Manager to have a look at his CCTV cameras for proof that this was not the case. This kind of treatment to a customer of Checkers is totally out of line and action should be taken against the security guards involved.

My sister-in-law had the same experience also at Checkers but in Koster - Northwest Province. The guard actually pushed her into the shelves where she sustained injuries. He also slapped her through the face. The only mistake she made was to ask him to move out of the way because she wanted to buy a tin of food he was standing in front of. It seems like Checkers staff and security promotes being rude to the customers and not everybody is welcome in their stores. Also management laughed if off as it was nothing when she complained.
Their ads promoting them being there for their customers is one big joke. They cannot even handle their staff - how do they want to handle customers?
