rude attendant
This afternoon between 3:30-4:00 pm in the Chevron station on Balboa, just before Genesee. I asked for the attendant help to check why the gas pump would constantly stop fueling. As the attendant sits in a kiosk behind thick glass, I was trying to talk to him in a loud voice.
He asked to repeat what I said a couple of times, because I had a thick British accent. Than he implied that I was trying to start a fight with him, just because I was loud. He totally ignored that he was behind thick glass and that, even though I was loud, I really did not have an angry tone, nor used any profanities...
I find it unacceptable for a gas station attendant to speak to customers impolitely, with such bad attitude for no reason other than having a loud voice. His behavior was rude, dismissive and unfriendly. He did come out to check the issue, but started by complaining that he cannot touch my car. He did manage to loose the attitude and helped by adjusting the pump hose and help in fueling until the tank almost filled up.

I went to this gas station to get some gas and buy some snacks, when I was there I was looking for the restroom and this [censor]ing clerk told me that I was not allowed to use the restroom, that it was not a public restroom which it obviously was, I opted to look for other gas station but before leaving I told him that his mother must be proud of him working as a [censor]ing clerk and that he was able to keep a restroom clean the whole day. That he should be working at nasa and not wasting his talent on a gas station :) LOL

Hello, my name is Sharon Crockett, a resident in the city of Bell, CA. On the evening of Dec. 3rd 2017 I purchased $40 worth of gas at the Chevron gas station located at 5001 Florence Ave in the city of Bell, CA, paying in cash. There was another customer using the pump I wanted at the time and I notified the clerk of this when I paid, I told the clerk to apply my $40 purchase to the pump in question. When that customer was done I pulled up to the pump to begin pumping my $40 of gas into my vehicle. At first the pump wouldn't work, but then it began to pump gas. The pump stopped pumping gas at $9.63, so I went back into the store and told the clerk that the pump only gave me $9.63 worth of gas and I needed the pump reset or whatever needed to be done to get the balance of $30.37 worth of gas still owed me. The clerk at the register informed me that my $40 purchase for gas as already been pumped, I argued that I only received $9.63 from the pump and I wanted the balance of my purchase. After 20 minutes of arguing with the clerk and the manager and getting nowhere I was told by the clerk that the owner is the only person who is authorized to review the recorded camera footage and perform the daily register audit to compare with the register drawer cash count with the register transaction report to make sure that the amounts match, and she would be there in the morning. The clerk called the owner at home and explained the problem and she agreed to review the camera footage and register daily audit and find out what happened to my $30.37 worth of gas. She assured me over the phone that she would contact me at 9:00 am in the morning after reviewing the recorded data. I took it on faith that she would not defraud me and that a satisfactory resolution to the problem would be found. Well, the owner did contact at 9:00 am the following morning and informed me that the register audit and pump audit amounts were correct and that was all she could do for me, I must be mistaken and that I had received all my $40 worth of gas. I then drove back to the gas station to speak with the owner personally. I did so and was informed that she had not reviewed the camera footage, but was not going to do anymore for me. I feel that I have been patient enough with the owner of the gas station and given them the opportunity to make good on this error and I am not going to be defrauded by Bell Chevron gas station for the balance of $30.37 I want my gas or the cash back. I am determined to get satisfaction, please help.

I went to the chevron on florence /wilcox in city of bell. Gave attendant 2 20.00 bills for gas pump 2. I went to pump the gas it said waiting for authorization. Waited. Told friend to go see. Took hose out of car. Put hose back in. Said same thing. Hung up hose . Put back in. Pumped 9.63 cents. What happed to other 30.00. They gave me 2 receipts. 1 for 9.63. One for 30.00. I have a Chevron gas card and I recently moved up here to Big Bear, Ca.
There is only one Chevron station and they are over charging for their gas in my opinion. So, I don't use my card anymore because of it.
Right now Shell / Valero / Arco / 7/11 are at around $3.14 per gallon reg. unleaded. The Chevron is at $3.49. I feel this a rip off.

chevron gas stations and air pumps
I went into my local Chevron station at Anaheim St and Normandy in Harbor City to fill my tire. The air hose had no nozzle to attach to my tire stub. It has been missing for at least three weeks. I then went to my next closest Chevron station at Western Blvd. and Pacific Coast Highway. The air station there states the air is NOT free and posted $1.00 for air. Last I heard, air is supposed to be free i California. It certainly should be free to Chevron customers ans credit card holders.
I have used Chevron for twenty years and my husband is an employee of Chevron. The events today give Chevron a very poor name for taking care of their customers.
Due to the unavailability of air, I filled my tire at Shell. Sad 😞.

It appears that the law states that gas stations are supposed to provide free air if you have paid for gasoline at that time. Many gas stations don't follow this however and it doesn't appear to be strongly enforced.

My sister went into a Chevron station off Interstate 5 in California heading North. She called me saying that a cashier at the chevron asked for her number repeatedly after she said no multiple times. When she asked for her change (5$), he asked her for her number AGAIN and withheld her change. She said she was the only one at the gas station at the time and felt uncomfortable so she left without her change. This is insanely inappropriate and unacceptable. Congratulations for making a 23 year old woman feel so scared and uncomfortable that she leaves behind her change.

On thursday, november 23, 2017 i decided to go to Texaco in Palisades, Hawaii to put gas. As i entered the store i immediately heard someone saying "you better get out of the store before i punch you out Linell. I going F*!#+! Punch your face. I going broke your [censor]! Beat it!" As i looked up i saw Dawn, the mother of my boyfriend's kids. I did not know that she worked there and didnt say nothing, i turned around to exit, and she grabbed my hair and punched my head and kicked the back if my knees to try to make me fall and pushed a man that was standing in line in front of her. There were two cashiers and they just laughed. I just turned around looked at her and told her" just wait. They're gonna hear about this." And i left the premises. Yes, there is a problem about her accepting that it is over between her and her ex, my boyfriend, but to attack a customer while on duty is an act of misorderly conduct, and this incident must be solved immediately with termination of your employee Dawn at palisades texaco on oahu, Hawaii or further action will be taken. I am a loyal Chevron user for 17yrs. I drive a Prius and it only holds 8 gallons of gas. I bought 3.17 gallons of gas (gas pump no. 2)but it only filled up a quarter of my gas tank. I've been cheated on a whole gallon of gas. This gas station is located at 3002 S. 38th St. Tacoma WA, 90471. I am hoping that it is only a gas pump malfunction and I will get my refund back. Otherwise, I will report this gas station to the business bureau and swear that I will never pump gas at a Chevron again. Costco is only half a mile away. Its cheaper than Chevron anyways and I doubt they will scam customers.

My wife allows me to use her chevron credit card whenever I need to fill up my tank. I usually just pay at the pump but on this occasion I needed some cigarettes so I had to go to the night window. The cashier refused me service because my wife wasn't present. I understand policy. That's fine. I proceeded to go pay at the pump instead like normal. The cashier turned off my pump and when I went to retrieve my receipt for the gas that I did pump, she refused to give me a receipt! What kind of [censor] is that about? Not only was it rude and insulting that she turned off the pump that I was using and even though I had permission to use card that was paying for the gas but to straight deny me a receipt for my own records is downright unlawful! I went inside to tell the cashier that I was not charged correctly and ask for a refund. He looked at the receipt and said that the gas was $2.439 per gallon. I told him that I had selected the $2.09 pump. He apparently had this happen before based on his reaction.

I stoped at pump #9, it said no card, pay inside. I went inside and prepared for $20. I had my fuel gauge at half tank.
When I began to pump gas, it literally was going at a rate of one gallon per 5 minutes. So I waited for half an hour, did not pay really any attention on how many gallons it pumped, I just saw that it was for $20. I did not take my receipt, sat in my Honda Accored and left. Only couple of minutes later I realized that my gauge needle have not moved,
I got 0 gallons of gas for $20 (gas is 3.19). I still had a half of tank.
So I went back explained the situation. Clerk told me that my needle doesn't work. "Sometimes it happens he told me. "
I went back later same day, began pumping at different pump, same problem, I pumped two gallons. By now I pumped into my Accord, 8 gallons worth of money, but no gas. (From same shevron) Needle did not move, . Ok I thought maybe I have a problem with my needle, for sure.
I went to Costco gas station, pumped 8 more gallons, I have receipt from Costco, and my needle showed full tank.
My accord is 12 gallons on full tank. I pumped 8 gallons at shevron, and 8 gallons at Costco. Only shevron stole my $26+ .
Can u please look into this situation. It's not really about money, I just don't feel comfortable to purchase gas at shevron anymore, and I am dedicated buyer, this shevron is really close to my home. I literally was just robbed for $27.

On October 27 at about 3PM at the Chevron Station, 2698 Capilano Road North Vancouver, BC Canada, I placed my wife's Visa credit card in the pump and was immediately asked to withdraw the card which I did. This seemed strange as a Pin is normally asked for. The pump then stated select a grade which I did and continued to fill up my wife's 2014 Corolla which was under half full. I put in about $40 worth of gas replaced the hose and headed home.
While I was checking our Visa statements on October 28 I noticed I did not have a charge for about $40 from Chevron but a flat charge for $100. There is no way a 2014 Corolla holds $100 worth of gas. I can only assume the pump did not reset from the prior customer. My error is I did not get a receipt from the pump in this case. Can anything be done to recover the overcharge?

I don't know where else to turn, but this issue still is not sitting right with me. I know your credit is handled through Synchrony, but they have proven to be completely incompetent and downright rude.
Long story short. I have been a paying customer for as long as I've had an account with Chevron. Recently my husband set up an automatic payment to help with payments without my knowledge and two payments were returned.
That being said, I have continued to make my monthly payment and have NEVER had a late payment on my Chevron credit card... YET I was informed recently that my account has been closed because two payments were returned even though I continued to make my monthly payment on time.
Now ask yourself how a person who has NEVER had a late payment is supposed to feel after being told that her account is closed and 'there's nothing that can be done'?
Not only is this taking the common sense out of the situation (what company closes an account that has a perfect payment history for 10+ years?), but only to be told that there's nothing that can be done is infuriating.
This is going down as my worst customer service experience to date and I will continue to tell all my friends, family and anyone that will listen what a large corporation like Chevron is really like to deal with.
I understand that a multi-billion corporation doesn't care about one single consumer's plight, but it should. Because as long as I have breath in me, I will continue to speak poorly about Chevron and this experience.
It's just very unfortunate that a loyal customer is treated this poorly.
I wonder what the people that DON'T pay are treated like.

Hello I have been trying to reach someone to talk to and it has been very difficult for me to get in touch with anyone about my problem that I had today at gas station. this gas station is Chevron it's located in the city of Downey, the address is 12555 South Paramount . the cashiers name is Breana, I've never seen her before first time I ever see her. my pump was #4. I hadproblems using my credit card and so i went to see cashier and told her I wanted $25 charge to my gas card.went back outside tried pumping gas, the gas wouldn't pump. then it started to pump slowly only pump $13 and it stopped. I went back in and told her the pump wasn't working, she told me to try again. went back outside the screen turned off completely on the pump machine.I went back inside and told her to please fix the problem, she had a line of customers waiting and there were a couple of them complaining. she said she returned the money back to my card! I said I did not want that I wanted to put gas in my car. so she told me to swipe again finally I tried and nothing seemed to work the screen was white no letters nothing for me to choose or click on. this girl was very rude! very first time I see her I have never had anything bad to say about this gas station or the cashiers working in the gas station but I am very upset that I wasn't able to pump the gas that I asked for. Huh what a trip my complaint is in the city of bell. I am writing this message because you have lost a lifelong customer due to horrific customer service and asinine rules. I want you to know and I will be notifying all my friends, family and social media of the terrible way I was treated by a multi-billion dollar corporation for being a model customer.
I have been a chevron consumer for 12+ years and have never missed a payment. Recently I got a card for my boyfriend because he started driving for uber and lyft and he set up an automatic payment plan to assist with making the payments.
Apparently his autodrafts were returned, yet I have continued to make the payment each month for more than the minimum amount due on the due date.
I tried to use my card this evening and was informed my card didn’t work and when I called, I was told my account was closed and would not be reinstated?! Pardon?
What company closes an account on a customer who has never had a late payment? And has continued to be a paying customer?
I was continually told by customer service agents and managers that there was nothing they could do?
I’m just confused as to how chevron handles their clients who don’t pay? Not only was I embarrassed when I was told my card was declined, but I was never told that my account would be closed with no chance of reinstatement for full payment?
In this day and age of online presence, I will continue to speak poorly of chevron and my experience with them and avoid using them at all costs.
Truly sad because prior to this I was one of their biggest fans.

I entered the gas station to pre pay my gas. I paid $35.00 but only pumped $32.00.
I then returned inside to receive my refund of $3.00. I approached the same employee (Evi, an older hispanic woman) that had charged me just a few minutes prior when I first arrived and informed her of the refund.
Immediately I saw she was not understanding what I was saying and quickly got defensive (this usually is the case when there is a language barrier).
So with grace and patience, I continued explained it to her again, in hopes she'd understand better. At this point the manager saw her frustration with me and quickly intervened and began to take control of the issue and explain to me that the computer charged me $30.00 not $35.00.
The manager refused to even look at my first receipt that had the amount of $35.00 and began printing other recipts to try to show me that I was wrong.
The two receipts she printed out for me and claimed was mine, had two completely different amounts...leaving me more confused and concerned for how much my card was actually being charged.
During this entire conversation with the manger, the employee (Evi) was interrupting, rolling her eyes and saying rude comments in Spanish about my "ridiculous" behavior. I'm guessing she was under the impression that I did not speak Spanish because I was only speaking in English, but I understood her.
I asked her to please remember that the customer is always right and at this time I was discussing this matter with the manager, not her, therefore I did not need her commentary...she still continued.
I left very confused with the three different receipts they gave me and the information on their refund policy.
It was very sad to see the lack of respect, patience as well as, the disrespect I felt for wanting clarity on the refund policy to make sure I was being charged the correct amount.
