Shanee ok location. received the wrong order and live 30 m inutes away. called the store and could not get a manager to speak with
. We ordered 2- 7 piece chicken tenders with Mashed potatoes and corn nuggets and 2- orders of liver and gizzards, family sized cole slaw with mashed potatoes and corn nuggets and 8 piece hot wings and 4 cherry pies. we received 2 order of 4 tenders with corn nuggets 1 order of ;ivers and gizzards and 2 cherry pies. When you spend over $50 you expect the order to be right. We live over 30 minutes away from this Shawnee location. We love your food but this was an awful experience.

Desired outcome: Would like a gift card for $50.00 to use at a Chicken express that is closer to me
Poor customers service, mistreatment of customers by owner of the franchise.
Drive through staff was extremely rude. I am hearing impaired in my right ear and stated that I could not hear her and she yelled at me to go to the window, She open the window like we were bothering her. She snapped at me after I order Mac and cheese because they were out... at 4pm in the afternoon. Then upon handing the order she dropped part of it out...

The old cranky lady in the glasses is the rudest person I’ve ever talked to. She refused to give me her name or the managers. Waited a long time just waiting to order. Never got a chance to because she told me she didn’t have time for it. Mind you, there were no cars in line or people inside. The other gentleman working today was super nice. Give him a raise and kick the old lady to the curb!

12/22/22 in Jacksonville, Tx. 7:30 pm. The service at this location is horrible. I eat chicken express in many locations. This one is the worst. Food was barely warm after waiting as long as we did. I returned the food for fresh hot food and the lady tried to argue it was warm. Then made me wait another 15 minutes. I will not go back to this location. EVER!
Desired outcome: You do what you think is best.
Price
I started to research Chicken Express after a purchase of the #2 menu item at the Chicken Express in Jacksonville, Texas. 7 chicken strip meal. 1 meal cost me $16.87. This is without a doubt price gouging. I looked up menus online and the same meal was $8.61.
I enjoy Chicken Express, good food, that is why I found it hard to not complain about the price gouging. I am also reaching out to an attorney to see what can be done about it.
Desired outcome: Prices reduced to online menu, everybody else menu prices.
Old cold product
Ordered the livers dinner, and received dried up cold livers. Fries cold too. Bread hard
Wife ordered a two piece dark and the thigh was all dried up and she ordered corn, and was told later they were out so had to accept mashed potatoes.
Not very good food for $21.46.
The restaurant had a full display of chicken on their heat lamps. I assume to have fast service, at the cost of taste and quality.
Desired outcome: Refund or replacement
Improper food handling
I went into the restaurant to order some chicken and when I was waiting on my order I noticed the man employee who took my order coughing and coughing on his hand that had a glove on it and then he goes and touched the tongs to serve the chicken and then he coughed again on the same hand but this time he didn’t grab the tongs he touched the chicken with his hands. That’s so gross. I was hoping we wouldn’t get sick. This man man made my order. My husband is a Private Investigator and I told him I was going to tell the employee if he could go and Wash his hands and to put on a clean glove. My husband told me to contact Chicken Express first so that’s where we’re at now. Mind you this man was also scratching his head and still touching everything. He looked very sick. I just can’t believe he was even working that day. Some of the others employees were only wearing 1 glove and no hair nets Now with Covid and Flu being out there All of the employees should be wearing proper gloves and hair nets. After seen what I saw I will not be returning to that restaurant. This calls for a meeting with the manager or owner or health services. I just hope we don’t get sick. This was an unbelievable experience.

When going to the drive thru the woman could not hear my order after repeating my order 3 times, so I drove to the window no smile no can I help you ...so I gave her my order, she didn't read it back she just closed the window. Then the supervisor gave me the bag and the drink and did not look at me or say thank you or nothing and not only did I pay $18.77 an additional .55 cents was added onto the bill for a 3% card fee, what a rip off...very unprofessional and mean people work at this location, will never ever go back...ever.
Desired outcome: my money back
Pathetic operation and price gouging
Ordered at 5:22 pm. Made it to the service window where my payment was taken at 5:40 pm. At 5:49 I was asked to pull forward and wait. At 5:57 pm I received my order. I checked the online menu with prices before going to the location. Based on that I expected a total of $47.43 plus tax. I received an invoice totaling $69.44. AND they charge 3% if you use a credit card. When I went back over the pricing shown on their website to the charge I received, there was a 54% increase in the Tenders Family Meal and 72% increase in Family sides. Will I go back? No. Love the tenders and sides, but I do not need to be raped on price and served like animals at a trough. So sad.
Desired outcome: New management. Open Dining Room. Respect for customer's time and support.
Service
I think you should know that you're manager Sara is high on the job among other employees on more than one occasion I went through drive thru and her would be bloodshot red the odor will be strong and my little cousin use to work there and I've picked them a couple of times and the employees will gather around and smoke majaunna and they also smoke during...

Today, Sunday, November 13, 2022. My husband went to Chicken Express on Saginaw Blvd, Saginaw TX.
Time was about 12:30, after church. My husband requested a tender family size meal, he was told “we are out of tenders”. Funny thing is, he was inside the store, saw a large pile of tenders in the bin.. he then ordered just the piece family meal.. he waited 30 minutes for the order, as he was past up by customers coming in after. The black women, manager he said was very rude. Employees were standing in the back talking and videoing not even paying attention to the line out front.
As a regular customer, we WILL NOT be back. Someone needs to step in, get a new manager who actually cares!
Fried Fish
I have enjoyed eating at Chicken Express. The last two times the fish has been so salty you couldn't eat it. The first time they apologized and gave us fresh fish the next day that wasn't salty. Last night we bought fish once again from Chicken Express on 8th Street in Odessa, Texas & it was too salty to eat. I called & the young lady that answered the phone said she would let the manager know since the manager wasn't there. I informed her I would call back tomorrow. I called today (Saturday) & the man I spoke with that was acting as a manager said they had to soak the fish in brine and then put it in the batter and fry. That's the way they do it. I said so that's it don't come back and buy fish from Chicken Express. Yes, but it was up to me. Really you guys can do better than that!
Desired outcome: Don't use all that salt. People have health issues and please hire better managers.
Poor Customer Service from Cashier at Window
I ordered and when I came to the window I was asked to move forward so that they would have time to cook more chicken legs. No problem. I waited over 20 minutes. I went inside to see if maybe they forgot about me. I saw a large number of chicken legs on the rack. Order after order was being filled and people passed by me. I assumed they would be out with my order shortly so I went back to my car. I waited 5 more minutes and went back inside. Again, I saw them filling orders and I could see chicken legs on the warming rack. I am a teacher and had to get back to school (only 1/2 mile from the restaurant). I called the store on my phone while waiting in my car. I asked if they forgot about me. The woman told me, "No, the chicken legs just came out." I knew that was a lie and said, "No, I saw them when I made two trips inside the restaurant. I just need someone to bring me my order." She said, "No sir, they just came out". I'm not sure why she continued to argue with me and lie about the legs, but she asked if I wanted a refund. I just want my chicken legs. I finally had to drive off. I checked my credit card and they did credit me back. I don't know why she preferred to argue with me rather than filling my order.
Desired outcome: I would like management to be aware of the situation. I would like an apology from the woman who chose to argue with me rather than bring out my order.
Inappropriate music with foul language being played
On 10/11/2022 at 8:00 pm, my husband, my 12 year old granddaughter and I went to the Chicken Express in Midlothian, Texas, to order food for our granddaughter. I noticed that the music playing was rap, which I thought was unusual. However, I was totally offended when I heard very inappropriate language in the music. As I was standing there, I hear the N_ _ _ _ _ word, the F_ _ _ word, and women were called bit_ _ _ _. At this time I asked the young lady who took our order to please get the manager. The manager came to the front and I asked him if this was a Christian organization as they had bible verses on the receipts. He looked at me and never answered that question. I told him that the language in the music was offensive and shouldn’t be playing with minors in the restaurant. He did tell his employees to turn off the music. The only comment he made was to say, “I apologize” and walked off. I am sure that as soon as we left he turned the music back on. We have eaten at this restaurant many times in the past, however, if this type of offensive music is going to be played here, we will not be going back and will not recommend it to friends or family.
Desired outcome: I would like to hear from you to know whether this type of music is appropriate for your restaurants as I feel this language is disrespectful. I failed to get the manager’s name.
Customer service and manager
The girl taking the order for the food was rude and over talking me as I was giving our order. She didn’t get 2 of our 3 drinks ordered because of her over talking me during the order. She was rude at the window when I told her about the drinks. After she gave us our food, I wanted to tell her to actually listen to the customers ordering so that it goes well, but she wouldn’t open the window back up. I called their manager to make a complaint about it, and she was doing the same thing, interrupting everything that I was saying, and I told her so. She was very rude also. This place needs better service and a better manager. We like their food, but I won’t be back.
Desired outcome: Not over talking the customer who is ordering nor being rude.
Gave us the wrong dinner, and the owner was literally screaming at me.
The location is 1014 Moore Ave., Terrell, Texas, 9/10/22 at 3:26PM. I went thru the drive thru and the microphone was not working very well, so they asked me to pull to the window. I told him I did not know the number of meal I needed, I would tell him what I needed and he could order it accordingly. I repeated more than once, I wanted one dinner with 2 thighs and a mashed pot/gravy, no drink. He said he could give me an extra m/p since no drink. Fine. Then need 2 snack meals of 2 strips and m/p, no drinks. Got home and NO thighs. I called and talked to young man, said I had to come in and exchange it. I cannot drive back an hr to do that. Asked for the manager, he said the same thing and told me he can't help that I'm an hr. away, that's the way it is. He literally was screaming at me telling me he was the owner and did I know what that means!?! I said it should mean that you have better customer service than this, and he just kept screaming, literally at me. I have never had someone, an owner especially treat me in this manner. I usually am just trying to let the establishment know of the error so they might do better next time. Just unbelievable, it's too bad, because we will Never eat there again, ever.
Desired outcome: He definitely should apologize, a refund would be nice, but I will not go up there again for it. I feel bad for the young man that was working at the time. He was very nice. What an example that manager set for him.
Chicken Express, Conroe TX-charginf extra for credit/debit cards
We have frequented CE literally every week for 10 yrs in fine New Braunfels and Canyon Lake stores. Recently moved to The Woodlands, TX, to our surprise, no CE. Found one 9 miles away in Conroe and went for lunch yesterday. Ordered usual, went to give credit card and was told that they charge an extra 3.5% for CC. Unacceptable. Took back card, cancelled order in front of several other customers and walked out. Having worked in the CC industry for 20 yrs., I knew that that was not an acceptable practice as it relates to Visa/Mastercard regs. How about a Chicken Express in The Woodlands.
Desired outcome: Correct procedure in all stores doing this. Not going back to Conroe store.
Incorrect meal
I have been going to Chicken Express in Bryan Texas for years and I am used to them forgetting item; chicken, corn, or rolls but usually they try and make it right. Last night before I left the drive thru, I asked the employee to please check and make sure I have all of my order and that it is correct. She acted annoyed and opened the box and stated…. “Breast, breast and wing” closed the box and hands bag to me. I get home and what! I get thigh, thigh, and wing. I am unhappy now; I have to drive back to the store and show them, yet another mistake and they replaced the wrong chicken. I said, “you know it doesn’t seem right that I drive here to fix your mistake and all I get is the right meal”. They offered me a free drink or dessert… wow, really? I tried reaching out to the manager, Britt and received a full in box message, also tried calling store. It really is the lack of caring that I just can’t accept.

Order# 278 – 5:41pm
Empl:Nyasia D.
Desired outcome: The very least is a 3-piece meal on Chicken Express but really they caused my wife's 2-piece meal to be cold so both meals comped would make us very happy. Perhaps train the employs to know the difference between a breast and a thigh.
Service in general, charging for a debit card!
My wife goes to Chicken Express here in Huntsville Texas [protected] at about 5pm to get us supper for her, I and 2 grandkids. $50 bucks... gets home and the extra rolls she "Paid" for wasn't in the bags. Then see a 3.5% non cash adjustment. I drive back up there, get the rolls and asked about this 3.5% charge... just like the gas stations if you don't pay...
Read full review of Chicken ExpressGeneral Manager & Employee Behavior
I was a General Manager for 6 years. I know how a store should be properly ran. This location not only has a reputation for slow service, but also terrible food quality. The Chicken Express in OKC is 100x better than the Tahlequah location.
I was hired as a Shift Supervisor based on my prior management experience. My first day was absolutely terrible. The GM, Jimmy, was extremely passive aggressive. He spoke negatively about nearly all of his employees. I was thrown into working drive thru, making orders, and taking lobby orders at the same time. I can multi-task very well, but Jimmy was not satisfied with my speed. Again, this was my first day! I was shown once how to ring up DoorDash orders. I had trouble finding the last step. Instead of showing me again or indicating where the last button was, Jimmy kept repeating “House Accounts.” He also stated, “Come on! You need to know this stuff!”
I offered to stay 4 hours late to cover another employee’s shift. Jimmy told me to take a break, so I went to clock out. He then said, “Well, hold on a minute! Let me go to the bathroom first.” That would have been completely understandable, but he was so rude about it.
I was packing a 8 pc. tender meal, in a large box, per Jimmy’s instructions. Violet, a crew member, came over to the line & very rudely told me to put the 8 pc. in a small box. Instead of interjecting or explaining that he instructed me to do so, Jimmy said nothing and walked away.
I am extremely hard working and dependable. With that being said, I know my worth as an employee. I refuse to be treated so poorly.
There were many other ridiculous situations that occurred. I would be more than happy to go into detail further.
